Absolutely loved this place! It’s super cute and the food is so so good! I had the Vietnamese iced coffee and it was fantastic! The food I tried was the shrimp summer rolls and the shrimp plate. The peanut sauce here is awesome! It’s hard to find a place that has a good peanut sauce so that was a pleasant surprise and the shrimp plate was also so good and the portion is huge! 10/10 recommend 😀
Pho Is For Lovers was so good. I had the beef pho, grilled pork banh mi, bún bò huế, and their fried rice and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The beef quality in the pho was amazing and they’re really generous with the protein portions, which I loved. The banh mi was super flavorful, the bún bò huế had the perfect spicy kick, and the fried rice was honestly so satisfying. Also the staff was awesome, really friendly and made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be back.
I ordered some Pho for my brother and I. We need a go to Pho place. I come SoCal where he have Little Saigon which is the biggest community outside of Vietnam. So you can imagine how picky we are with our Pho. I ordered through Uber Eats. We got Chicken Pho & Beef/Shrimp Pho. THE BROTH WAS STEAMING! The amount of noodles was crazy! It was actually very satisfying. I did get a hair in my food that was curly but I also have curly hair so I couldn't tell if it was me or actual hair in my food. Please be mindful of it. It was very very delicious. The beef was uncooked so I did have to wait for it to be edible to my liking. So that was a but of bummer. The sides such as bean sprout, cilantro & Thai basil was decent. It was ALOT of beans sprout. Also, it did throw us off that the spoon was in the sides bag at the very bottom so we had to dig for it. Food: 9.5/10 Service: •Hot 10/10 •Flavor: 10/10
Pho is For Lovers is one of my favorite places to grab Vietnamese food in the Richardson area. It is also probably the easiest/best lunch spot. The pho and bun bo hue can be adjusted to your tastes, and the service is top notch!
Smaller portions than some place, but still plenty of food. I really like that it is to-go friendly. You don’t have to bring it home and put it together. Food is delicious, employees are professional and the sitting area is bright and welcoming. I really love all of the photographs they have hanging.
Been trying a lot of pho places around the area and right now this place is a contender for the best taste. Ordered a beef pho and it had the cleanest soup taste so far out of all the other places, the only issue I had was a couple suspicious pieces of beef but the pho overall made up for it. The store is bright and has an open atmosphere which I like. The only other thing I can complain about is that it id pretty expensive for a small (one size only) bowl of pho compared to other stores but it did fill me up. Overall, good taste and good atmosphere just expensive price.
Both locations are good but this spot has better parking and more space. Food: Grilled Pork Banh Mi. My go to banh mi. Fresh bread and savory pork. Pork Spring Rolls (2) were delicious. One of the few places that balance the amount of ingredients instead of loading it with vegetables and noodles where you don’t even get enough pork per bite. These were great! Asian approved 👍🏼
Best Pho and Banh Mi in Town! If you're craving authentic Vietnamese food, Pho is for Lovers is where you need to be. I tried the pork banh mi, beef pho, fried shrimp rolls, and washed it all down with Thai tea and passion fruit juice. Everything was spot on. The pork banh mi had the perfect mix of crunchy baguette and savory, tender pork. The beef pho? Rich, flavorful broth with melt-in-your-mouth beef. The fried shrimp rolls were crispy, light, and paired perfectly with the dipping sauce. And don’t forget the drinks—the Thai tea was sweet and creamy, and the passion fruit juice was a refreshing burst of flavor. The place is clean, the staff is friendly, and you’ll leave wanting to come back for more. Definitely worth a visit!
I give this place five stars for having vegetarian options! On top of that, the service was great and the space was well decorated. My friend and I called two other pho places before stumbling upon this restaurant that catered to vegetarians/vegans. The fact that they offer vegetarian options for my friend was a huge relief. (I’d assumed that all pho places had those options). I decided to try it myself, and I must say, it was pretty good. Personally, I still prefer the classic beef broths, but given the taste and portion, it was not bad at all.
A good spot for quick Vietnamese food. Friendly staff & good food make this place stand out. The cook in the back came out just to check if we like his food and asked for suggestion. 👍 Updated after 2 years: Still go to this place every week...sometime 3 times a week. Oct 20, 2020, Updated during the pandemic 😷: Glad these guys are back after 3 months closing. Food is great as usual. The outside seating is nice 👍
Pho is pretty good, brother isnt bad its better then average. Choices are limited, example you can only order beef Pho. You can choose different cuts of beef etc. They are kind of a split between a Vietnamese restaurant and a PHO shop. They offer more then Pho, like Bah Mi but not a lot more. Service is very friendly, and quick. There drinks are pretty good as well, I did enjoy the Thai tea. Summer/Spring rolls are very good.
I have never been to this location and I was excited to try it. I ordered the beef pho that was supposed to include “rare” beef. Needless to say, the soup was grey, the meat was grey, and all off it was flavorless. I wish I could say that I enjoyed it but I did not. I’m really not sure I will even eat the leftovers I brought home. The egg rolls were nothing special. For the price, I was disappointed.
Got food poisoning. I don’t know why I didn’t look at the reviews before eating here. Never again. Sad thing is it tasted good. Just made me very ill.
Ordered online, had a 4.9 star rating and 4000+ reviews so decided to try. When I got the meal, all the cilantro, green onion, and onions were on top of the noodles. There was no option on Uber Eats to order without it, so I figured I would just not put it in the soup. I ended up picking everything out by hand, then poured the soup in. The meat was raw, and after I let it marinate in the soup for a bit and tried it, it tasted off. The texture of the meat was so odd. Not to mention there was barely any pieces of meat in the first place. I ordered extra noodles and soup, I did get the extra soup but no extra noodles. Not sure if it was added with my original noodles but i finished my serving for one. Secondly, the Soup was so bland and flavorless. I’m not super picky with my pho but as soon as I tasted it, I’m instantly disappointed because I’m a great pho lover and have tried multiple places before. Overall, I did not like the pho, could say the worst I’ve tried, never have I not finished a bowl of pho. I also paid $23 for a beef bowl with extra noodles and soup, but as I said I didn’t even get my extra noodles. Not a good experience, would not offer from again.
Today, December 17th, my friend and I decided to visit this establishment for a nice meal. Cashier was nice and she offered to explain menu. I ordered a seafood pho soup. Everything looked beautiful, I had already taken a few spoonfuls, and then… a black, twisted hair floated to the surface. Someone else’s hair in my food! That I had already started eating! We called the waitress over and told her there was something extra floating in my soup. (But the waitress didn’t know how to act when we told her there was a hair in my soup. And it was not hair from head it looked like a think hair from other body parts))) She silently took the bowl and brought a new one. I understand how difficult it is to open a restaurant, develop a menu, advertise, and find employees who will work hard to promote your business. But it seems the owner hasn’t taught their staff how to handle such situations properly and gracefully. Besides saying, “I’m sorry,” nothing else was done or said. She said “sorry” just because. That’s not a genuine apology. No one came over during the rest of our visit to ask if everything was okay or to clear the dirty napkins. No one offered to refund the meal after our mood and appetite were ruined. No one suggested bringing out a dessert as an apology. Absolutely nothing was done. We didn’t make a scene or demand anything, but I want to let the owner know that their staff doesn’t know how to handle such situations and how important customers are these days. That’s why I’m leaving my honest review and warning others who might consider dining here that this is what happened to me. If the owner truly wants to investigate the situation, they can check the security cameras and see for themselves that it happened exactly as I described. Thank you. We won’t be coming back. Good luck with your business.
