Opinions de Maple Street Biscuit Company Richmond
Stopped in for the first time on Tuesday and Dillon assisted us with our order. Everyone was friendly and the food was very tasty. We were looking for a different breakfast stop and enjoyed our experience.
Great biscuits and cinnamon rolls. Better than Rise because the biscuits don't crumble apart in the middle of eating them. I'd pick them over Panera or fast food breakfast slop any day. One improvement they could incorporate is the option to add to veggies to the standard breakfast biscuits.
This was a fantastic experience! I got the chicken and waffles, which were scrumptious. The chicken had a decent kick and the waffle wasn't too sweet. The textures were a dream. I also had a maple vanilla latte (because you HAVE to get maple if it's the restaurant name), and it was amazing. Grabbing an iced latte to go! It was my first experience, but it won't be my last.
Today had outstanding service from McKinley. She was friendly, outgoing and helpful. The cooks delivered a great breakfast, the chicken was hot and crispy. Everything was top notch. I've eaten in many Maple Streets and the food has always been good but the staff this morning were on point.
Delicious! We tried several dishes and everything was great. Plenty of seating on a Saturday at brunch time. So many yummy coffee options. Orders are called out based on your answer to the question of the month - adorable and great conversation starter! Watched an employee offer a delivery driver a cup for coffee while they waited on a cold morning. Will definitely be back.
Great food! Never been to the Richmond area, as I called in looking for a quick spot to catch good southern meal! The sticky maple hit the spot with a the sweet and spicy / crispy / soft texture. Karen was friendly and helpful, the family really loved how you call out orders. Thank you!
The sausage gravy tasted okay since I personally like some chunks of sausage in my gravy. The biscuits are big and my eggs were cooked perfectly. The fresh orange juice and coffee were great. The staff was friendly, especially Karen G that took the time to go over the menu since it was my first time there and made recommendations. She was phenomenal.
We were warmly greeted by Karen G, who patiently waited as we perused the menu. Our meals were quickly prepared and the food was fabulous. The Bluegrass Grits bowl featured creamy, tasty grits that were as good as my mama’s. The side of fried green tomatoes were huge, perfectly-seasoned slices accompanied by a dill-infused dipping sauce. The staff cheerfully worked together to get our order, handle take-out orders and clean vacated tables. It was a wonderful Saturday morning meal. We will define return!
I stopped by Maple Street Biscuit Company and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. I ordered one of their chicken biscuits along with their homestyle maple coffee — both were absolutely delicious. The biscuit was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside, and the chicken was juicy and flavorful. The maple coffee was rich, smooth, and had just the right touch of sweetness — definitely a standout. The ambiance inside was warm and inviting, with a cozy, welcoming vibe that made me instantly comfortable. Honestly, I prefer it over places like Starbucks. There’s a more personal touch here that makes the experience feel special. One fun and unique thing they do is ask a “question of the day” when you order. Instead of calling out your name, they call out your answer — it’s a fun way to keep things private while also sparking conversation. The question during my visit was: “What subjects can you teach in school?” I said gym and history — and it was a fun surprise to hear that called out when my food was ready. All in all, I really enjoyed my meal and the overall experience. I’ll definitely be back!
This morning was me and my boyfriend’s first time trying Maple Street and O M G !! so good. not to mention the cashier was so helpful and kind. We sat on the patio and he brought our food out to us and then another man brought us our silverware and gave me a free cinnamon glazed biscuit. FOOD WAS AMAZING ASWELL!!!
We stopped here on a Sunday morning soon after they opened. Easy to find with ample parking. Inside was clean and peaceful. I enjoyed the open kitchen concept that you can see them cooking and preparing the biscuits that are made fresh. I love the "question of the day" that switched things up when they called out your answer when your food was ready. We had a breakfast bowl and the sausage and gravy. One bite into the bowl and you can taste the freshness of the ingredients right away. I enjoyed how light and airy the biscuits were, reminding me of my grandmother's growing up. Oh and I can't forget the maple iced coffee, just enough sweetness to balance out the coffee just the chef's kiss to the whole experience. Definitely a place we will be visiting everytime we are in the area.
This was my first time eating here and it was sooo good! The bacon was crispy and the waffle just melted in my mouth. My friend had the chicken and waffles, which she could not stop talking about because it was so good. The staff was super nice and atmosphere was so calm and welcoming. I will definitely be coming back to try other options.
Don’t think about it… JUST GO! I had “The Farmer” Chicken, Apple Butter, Bacon & Cheddar Cheese. TO DIE FORRRR! The SMASHBROWNS with the ranch was definitely an explosive amount of flavor! 10/10! Peach Berry Lemonade was the correct amount of sweet & tart, to swallow down this scrumptious meal.
This place made it on the food network for a reason! I am not a big fan of biscuits, but the ones made here are truly what amazing biscuits should be. The atmosphere of this place was so friendly and fun, and watching their orange juice maker was interesting in its process. Not to mention the juice itself was simply out of this world! I highly recommend anyone in the area to come and treat yourself to this amazing experience.
I'm not sure I've ever been in a restaurant with a nicer staff. The young man at the register was legitimately funny and helpful. I got three tacos and a bottomless iced coffee. The coffee was surprisingly delicious. The food was really good and I was pleased with the portion sizes. My only "note" would be regarding the steak taco. The pieces of steak were large, tough and difficult to eat. I recommend preparing them in smaller pieces. Oh...and bigger plates for the three taco meal. Will definitely be back!
**First Time Customers** Upon arrival it was an open greeting and very welcoming! We ordered biscuit/gravy & country fried steak biscuit with fried egg. . They ended up overcharging us but, it was an accident and totally okay. The restaurant & bathroom were cleaned to have a continuous flow of business. Very nice atmosphere! Our food was delicious, fresh and very fulfilling. Our biscuits were light and fluffy just as we enjoy them. We definitely will return to try other entrees! I also enjoyed them asking whats our favorite hobby and thats how they announce your food is ready to be picked up. I wanted to go around to everyone and take pictures of their food. The food was served very clean and had a picture prefect "Eat me" invitation. Every person we came in contact with was WELCOMING & POLITE!
Well bless my taste buds, I found myself at this fine little spot serving up chicken biscuits and chicken & waffles after a doctors appointment. Now let me tell y’all, the service was sweeter than grandma’s tea on the porch in July. The sweet lady made us feel right at home like they’d known us since Vacation Bible School. The food? Solid. That chicken biscuit strutted out like it owned the place — flaky, golden, and juicy enough to make a preacher skip Sunday service. The chicken & waffles did their job, too, crispy meets fluffy, a good ol’ southern handshake on a plate. Now the grits… lawd have mercy. Don’t get me wrong, they were creamy and fine, but the price tag made me squint harder than trying to read the church bulletin without my readers. They must’ve been grown on a mountaintop, serenaded by Elvis, and stirred with a golden spoon. For the cost, I halfway expected them to pay my light bill too. All in all? Average food, fantastic service, worth a visit if you’re in the mood for some southern comfort and don’t mind grits that think they’re caviar.
I love biscuits so I absolutely had to try this place. I got the Frittaffle and my friend got the Garden Fritaffle. Naturally we ordered biscuits as well - she got jam, I got two - one with apple butter and the iced cinnamon roll. The biscuits and service are FIVE STARS. Such good biscuits. I could eat them every day. The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The beverages are also really tasty (according to my friend). She had a lemonade and a coffee. The frittaffle is just sort of odd though. The eggs are cooked in a waffle maker and they are oddly chewy. They also needed a lot of salt. The potatoes that come with it are covered in a seasoning that had a little too much kick for me. I do highly recommend the biscuits. They are an absolute treat.
My husband and I stopped here since we were in town, and wanted to try something new. It looked good and the prices online weren't bad. When we got there, it wasn't busy and we were greeted by a really nice guy at the counter. However, we immediately noticed the prices on the menu were WAY higher than the prices they had listed online. 30-40% higher than we anticipated. We just shrugged it off and ordered, but we also noticed the menu had slight variations as well, other than what we saw online, which I was a bit disappointed in because what I had seen originally they didn't have anymore. During ordering, we were asked how we wanted our eggs, and we both said, "over-medium". Also since it was our first time in, we were offered a complimentary cinnamon biscuit, so we took that offer. When the food was ready, we both immediately noticed our eggs were WELL, well-done. We just ate then anyway, we weren't going to complain about it - it's an egg. His sandwich was huge, and he said he did enjoy it, otherwise. I had a grits bowl, which was subpar due to the dry egg and lack of flavoring overall. The complimentary cinnamon biscuit was good though, to my surprise. It looked as though it may be dry, but was actually quite pleasing.
First time visiting and I wasn’t impressed. The Hash Bowl was not all that great. It supposedly came with two eggs but looked more like half an egg. The fresh squeezed orange juice tasted like Sunny Delight. The caramel mocha tasted like it was missing the caramel. My girlfriend liked her Power Bowl but the grits tasted like mashed potatoes. The fried green tomatoes tasted like grease. The food definitely wasn’t worth the money spent.
