Super place. Very friendly and good, authentic food.
Always have a great time here. Drinks are awesome and food hits the spot.
Great price point. Service was very good and the food was provided quickly. Appreciated the friendly staff as well.
Went for lunch today & the food was fantastic & the service staff were very kind. Will be back soon!
My significant other and I went to Casa Corona for their Valentine's dinner and it was exceptional. The food was absolutely devine and the service was top notch. This restaurant is under new ownership and I couldn't be more happy about it. The food quality as well as the restaurant overall is so much better than in the past. Highly recommend and we will definitely be dinning here on a regular basis. 10/10
Great food and the margaritas were amazing! Spicy food when asked for and wow was it spicy and delicious! Chips and salsa were really good, if you wanted bean dip it was $8 which is pretty pricey. It's my new favorite place.
Service was average. Food was good, portion sizes are huge ! The fajitas for two can feed probably 5!
Had lunch with a friend. I am just visiting Ridgecrest, Ca for a week after leaving 25 years ago. Casa Cornia is Ok for a single visit. Price was higher than most fast foods, but the quality is equal to or less than most fast foods. Personally I would prefer a Waffle House. Unfortunately none in Ca.
Casa Corona is a solid spot for Mexican food in Ridgecrest. The food is consistently good—flavorful, well-seasoned, and served in generous portions. I’ve had the tacos, enchiladas, and chimichangas, and they’ve all hit the mark. Chips and salsa are always fresh, too, which is a nice start to the meal. What I really like is the atmosphere. It’s laid-back and has a fun, welcoming vibe whether you’re there for a casual lunch or dinner with friends. The decor gives it a bit of character, and there’s usually music playing at just the right volume—not too loud, not too quiet. Service is friendly and pretty fast, even when it’s busy. It’s not the absolute best Mexican food I’ve ever had, but for Ridgecrest, it’s definitely one of the better spots. I keep coming back, and that says something.
We had an overall great experience over here. The servers were great and friendly. The food was super tasty and filling. The Margarita was large and yummy. As soon as we sat down we got a bowl of chips and salsa. The salsa was on the hotter side. It tasted great with my large Jarritos Margarita ie Jarritorita. Since my wife is a vegetarian, she ordered the Mexican salad which came with beans and avocados and it had a Italian dressing. All over, it tasted great. I took three individual tacos, one with the shrimp, the second with the Baja fish and the third with al pastor chicken. All of the tacos were quite loaded and super tasty. At the end of the dinner both of us were very happy and filled up. Would love to come back here whenever I am around.
First time here. Stopped in at 3pm. I’ve been traveling so my stomach time is a bit confused! To start I really liked the salsa. I had tacos and a side chile relleno. The carne asada tacos were pretty good. I had one carnitas taco, while decent flavor it was a tad dry. I really liked the chile relleno. It was very light. Margaritas were decent. Pricing was fair and service was friendly. Would come back.
I love this place! It's got such a unique vibe, and the drinks were excellent. The food was delicious as well. I got a chili relleno cheese enchilada and beef taco. I didn't expect the chili to be fried but it was still great. I actually thought the beans and rice were exceptional, and it's really hard to make beans and rice exceptional. I'd definitely go back. The only reason it's not five stars is because our food didn't come out for about 20 minutes after we ordered and that's pretty slow for such a casual restaurant
The appetizer was cold and not cooked thoroughly, rice, beans, enchiladas colddd. Customers next to us sent food back for it being cold as well.
The busboy was excellent, the server was horrible our food was cold he should have known because the plate wasn't even hot, gave back to the busboy to reheat server never came back to check on us just dropped the bill off , now my husband said he will never go back there. We only go to Olivera Mexican restaurant now
First off, expensive compared to everywhere else in town for the same food. Sure, the menu has a large selection, but that hardly makes up for over priced food. $21 fajitas for a single order? Maybe in LA you can get those prices and get away with it for awhile. Second, it can get loud in there, the acoustics are awful, we went at 8pm on a sunday and I couldnt carry on a conversation with the person across the table. Third, IMO, I dont consider this to be authentic mexican food. Its more Tex-Mex and pretty darn bland. Too much cheese and the a la carte tamale was of the frozen variety. The frijoles were good. The pitchers of margaritas were good and decently priced for what you got. Many flavors can be had, we just went for the original and were pleased. The salsa was good, even the extra hot we asked for had a great flavor. Not sure if they charge extra for additional chips n salsa, but it had a price in the a la carte menu for it. Service was great and our server was pleasant and effecient. The food seemed to take quite awhile to come out though. Silverware was not clean, had to ask for another set. Overall, I'd say they are other cheaper options out there especially if youre on a budget and hungry for more authentic mexican food. To me, it looks like the high prices are indicative of the high overhead needed to keep the doors open. Sorry Jason, but this place needs work. We've traveled all over the world and we would not put Casa Corona on our 'will try again' list.
To be honest this food is pretty bad .. who puts peas in Mexican rice it doesn’t need to be there for texture or flavor.. give you rice flavor instead .. beans .. who burns beans well this place does …. This food was beyond gross and for anyone who like this .. any food taste ok with booze I guess .. recommendation on this place .. just keep driving by it’s ok to find a real Mexican restaurant .. ps way over priced for small portions as well
Dinner was absolutely disgusting. Meat was still raw, burritos were watery. Worst Mexican food I've even eaten. My friend and I walked out wanted to throw our dinner up.
Food was cold bland and generally awful and worse yet wasn’t even what i ordered. Top that off with "Sorry we don't have that" for 3 different menu items in a row. Then no apologies and I'm left to wait for 10 minutes in the lobby while the food I didn't want got cold. I'm not one to ever leave bad reviews but there's no shortage of good Mexican food in Southern California, so drive past Casa Corona to pretty much anywhere elese, heck even Taco Bell is more crown worthy. Phot includes the cold, bland, and overpriced 5 dollar chicken Taco that is about half the size of a fork and half as flavorful.
