Opinions de Cute Cat Café Ridgewood
The place is nice and the menu is fun. We love the waffles and teas. The outdoor space is a nice addition however I would prefer plants around tables and a nice solid out door mat. Its priced right and beautiful. Btw one dish is enough for 2 people they're huge.
Great find! Bright, new and welcoming. Music and customer chatting are at a harmonious volume. If only I lived nearer, it would be a great spot to quickly meet friends on my way from the train station. Tried the fresh mozzarella, tomato and pesto baguette sandwich. It was delicious! The bread was a perfectly crunchy but not dry. My friend and I tried the unique lattes: ginger and turmeric and salep (which tastes like a lighter and creamier version of white hot chocolate). I recommend both. The place has super friendly service which is not intrusive asking you if there is anything else you want every 5 minutes. I'll be back!
Amazing service, gorgeous patio and cozy inside space, delicious, well priced food. Could not recommend more.
I am a regular here, and they very quickly leaned my order, and often start making it a soon as they see me walk in. The food is very good, too. Recommend the CC Salad! My husband cannot results their excellent croissants, which I believe are made by one of the propietors definite the best coffee shop in the area.
Had lunch today when visiting from out of town. Home made watermelon lemonade was out of this world! We had the sweetest barista I think her name was Delaney. Made our NYC trip so personable. This café is well worth the trip! A must if you're in the area!! Friendly, great service and the atmosphere is amazing. What more can you ask for?!
I love Cute Cat Café! I come here a lot to work and to hang out- great drinks (love the hibiscus tea), Turkish treats (Turkish delights and baklava), friendly staff, and best of all the wonderful CATS! I love them all and this place is a treasure.
My boyfriends and I went to the cute cat cafe for a Saturday brunch. I wore cat ears just ti bring extra cat vibe. The breakfast platter was amazing - so fresh and healthy. And there was the cutest kitty outside who i immediately made friends with. Also will be back
I had breakfast here the other day, really tasty food, friendly staff and my baby girl loves the cat, so cute 🥰
Cute Cat Café is the best cafe in ridgewood. Their coffee is phenomenal, the atmosphere is great and it’s the perfect place to chill and get work done! Also OF COURSE they have cute cats that hang around outside that are very friendly. Come here, you will not regret it!!
I've come to this place several times. The staff is always friendly. The food is always great. The coffee is always tasty. The inside area is cozy. The outside area is nice, especially if you need a little nature in your life. 5 stars.
I love coming here w my partner, it’s a good place to order a small snack and sit to do a quiet activity. The baristas and cashiers are always super welcoming and warm. They have homemade pastries I like to order with a tea or latte 🐈⬛🐈 definitely recommend for a chill and quiet cafe
My daughter and I come her every week for the avocado toast, cookie and hot chocolate. The servers are friendly, and the environment is very relaxed. If you’re looking for a light snack and a coffee, I highly recommend.
Very good food, great coffees teas and smoothies. Calm atmosphere. Ghandi bagel is great if you re a vegetarian. Manhattan-like prices but they re on the main street with crazy rent I'm sure...so I get it. And the satisfied customers do too, apparently: the place is almost never empty. A tad pricey, but worth it for the quality of the food and soothing escape from the busy street
I went here a few years ago, but I remember taking someone out and I had this salmon sandwich to go. It was absolutely amazing. It came with chips and it was super affordable. Honestly, if I can remember how good the food is even though it's been a while, then it means it's good. I will be visiting here again. Hope to see you guys soon!
Excellent Café. The food is reasonably priced and always fresh and delicious. Plus the staff is wonderful. Definitely a very cute Café😺
Such a cute place in ridgewood around a nice little semi-commercial area. Got a vanilla macchiato and loved it! It tasted really good and sitting down in the back gave me some time to review some notes at the same time. Great place to come sit down if you have to get some work done and enjoy the vibes of the place and people it attracts. The barista there the night I went also was super friendly and talked to almost every person who bought something and the conversations I was hearing from the back even drew me in. Also the sandwiches and foods there looked reallly good, definitely will be trying one my next time around! There’s tons of seating in the back too Tip: ask for a stamp card! Some places don’t give it out unless you ask, sadly didn’t, but wish I did so ask! Also ask for the WiFi password !
The drinks are always delicious and I am consistently greeted warmly when I come in the door. Miles better than any chain coffee shop. Really cute community art on the walls, and a great backyard space.
best coffee shop in ridgewood, I love the Turkish coffee and that its open late!😻
It’s a cute little place, cozy place to be and friendly people to have a contact with.
Cute Cat Cafe is an absolute gem! From the moment I stepped inside,I was greeted with a cozy, welcoming atmosphere that immediately felt home-y. The decor is cute, with subtle cat-themed touches that add a playful charm to the space without being overwhelming. It's the perfect spot to relax, unwind and get some work done.
A unique place with excellent bagel combinations and coffee quality. I was definitely very pleased, and it has become my go-to spot for breakfast in the mornings. Not to mention the delightful afternoon coffee. Thank you, Cute Cat Coffee, for being there!
Love the 3 cheese omlette, food always fresh and made to order. The visiting cats add a nice touch to the beautiful cat decor. Staff if friendly and everyone knows ypur name. Coffee tastes so good. I've been coming here for years to work. Their wifi is awesome!
What more can I say!!! Reading the food menu alone gets you hyped. The food was soft and amazing for a nice super breakfast. Everything was brought out in detail and was fresh from the waffles to the fruits. The coffee is good quality coffee and smells amazing. Highly recommended, especially on weekends from a long work week.
Great cafe, they have backyard dining and street dining. My friend and I had to move from the backyard because of the mosquitoes, so I would recommend wearing long pants if you choose to sit there. I had the Nutella latte, and it was pretty good! Not too sweet. The vanilla chai latte is also a good option if you are into pretty sweet drinks. I hope this place continues to run, it’s awesome.
Ran in here after a spontaneous self care adventure turned into a torrential downpour. The staff were lovely and the coffee was great, I sat down and immediately the cutest most torn up kitty came and said hello and joined me. Definitely much needed and a welcome surprise! Its not a touristy area but I recommend for anyone if you're in the area!
Woow Wooow Wooow that’s amazing Cute Cafe it’s now more cozy and more comfortable, they did really amazing good renovations and painting, my favorite Cafe in New York
This place is great! Atmosphere is cozy and cool but the staff is also really friendly. They know what they’re doing and what they’re talking about, there was a girl asking all customer ,did they pleasur or not and try them to be happy. High quality coffe with their cute latte art and very healthy salads toast bagels, amazing turkish baklava and Turkish delights their prices it’s 100% worth it.
Stopped in on the way by instead of stopping for bfast at Dunkin or the diner next door. Nice ambiance and seating area. Friendly guy at counter. But it earned its five stars with best latte I’ve had since moving here from Seattle. Exceptional. And I ordered and omelette not expecting much but it was delicious with a side salad. Was very pleasantly surprised. Well done.
My favorite cafe to do work in! Multiple outlets by every table, friendly staff, and there’s always seating available. A great small business to support, especially after a starbucks was opened nearby. Definitely check it out!
I really enjoy coming to Cute Cat Cafe. The food is always good and the coffee & other beverages are delicious. They have really great service, and the atmosphere is very cozy. I definitely recommend getting one of their bagel sandwiches. The hot chocolate is also great.
Been coming to this place for years. When the weather gets warmer, the backyard is a treat. My favorite part are the stray cats the cafe takes care of. These cats are not mistreated in anyway whatsoever. The best part of this cafe is observing which cat shows up that day. As strays, the cats aren't the most friendly but strays are built on survival. The cafe has supplied scratching posts and shelter for them. There's no poop or urine, the backyard is sanitary. I really appreciate that these cats are taken care of. Oh, and the cats were NEVER kept in cages. I never once saw a cage. These were either feral or stray cats, they come and go as they please. Reason why they come to the cafe itself is because they know fresh food will be waiting for them. As for the cafe itself, it's clean, inviting and have good salads. The wifi especially comes in handy. I've brought friends here over the years. My favorite snack here is the Baklava. This place was here way before the other gentrifier cafes started popping up. It's become a neighborhood staple, and I hope it remains that way.
Really nice spot. The lady was really sweet.. The only thing was I said no cheese and they brought it with cheese, they brought it back to me but, looked like they just tried to take off the cheese instead of making it over. They ended up making it over afterwards but had to wait a little longer. Bagel was good, I guess they don’t have actual bacon, I think it was turkey bacon. Hot chocolate was good. Outdoor seating. Indoor felt cozy too. Restroom inside.
Visiting Cute Cat Café was such a special experience for me. My cat had just passed away last Saturday, and honestly, I wasn’t sure how I would feel walking into a place filled with reminders of him. But from the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by such a comforting environment — portraits, statues of cats, and an atmosphere filled with kindness from both the staff and even the other guests. It really set the tone for a beautiful and healing experience. While I was there, I even got to see one of the cats come out, and it felt so therapeutic just to sit there, enjoy my breakfast, and take it all in. If you’re into mixing a cozy breakfast (or a hot or cold drink) with the joy of seeing adorable cats, this is definitely the place to be. I’m so grateful for spaces like this!
It’s a shame that i have overlooked this place for so long , but i finally gave it a chance and this cute cat cafe is now my go to for coffee. The ladies are always sweet and welcoming, great atmosphere. Their decor is one of my favorites to look at. From a board of customers’ napkin art to cat pictures. Their coffee is always delicious, it’s always fresh, and the best flavor 🩷
This coffee shop is awesome! It has great food, great service, and a friendly atmosphere. There is plenty of seating both inside and out and seems like an awesome place to do some work. The maple iced latte I had tasted really unique and I would recommend checking it out. If for nothing less than to try something new.
From the outside this place seems like a small cafe but once you’re inside there’s plenty of room for dining in. I really enjoyed the ambiance, and their interior design. Coincidentally my mother currently watches a Turkish soap opera and was excited to have coffee and breakfast here. The servers were very kind as well with answering questions and explaining their menu. I had myself a golden latte and it was delicious, they have a decent size coffee menu. I am looking forward to going back and trying out their other coffees. Lastly don’t forget to sign up for their cash app rewards when paying! Thank you Cute Cat Cafe for a lovely breakfast!
My friend and I had a good time here, This is such a cute cafe, The drinks were so good, the chai latte was on point. The music was also good. The girls on the night shift were nice and offered a great service, Gabriela and the Turkish girl... I always appreciate a good service and a smile, so thank you. Can't wait to try everything else this cafe offers.
Avocado toast differs in quality depends on who’s making it… but this is one of the best cafes in the neighborhood! So cute, relaxing, sometimes cats in the back porch… Coffee tastes great~ and good sunlight!
I ordered a waffle and it was delicious but they had no syrup. Literally no syrup.
Nice trendy café with rustic modern decor complimented with some vintage furniture accents. Bagels, smoothies, coffee, mocha, macchiato, etc. A bit pricey, but the slow jazzy music & serene ambiance are nice to relax to while sipping your ☕ or 🍓🍌smoothie & catching up on emails with their free WiFi. Also note that each seating table has its' own outlet to charge your device while you're chillin'.
This is one of my favorite cafes in Queens! I’m so happy they opened up again. Definitely feels cozier! I will say tho, I miss the high tables. I like switching between sitting and standing when I do work 😢 I hope they reconsider and bring some back.
June 2025: While I've been here much more over the last year, today's visit was disappointing. Ordered a pistachio boba tea and was just not good. Boba is just tapioca that's soaked and sits in water until it's soft and ready. Today's tea, instead of it being soft like it should be, it was hard. There were also pieces of pistachio mix, on the bottom of the cup. The same in my daughter's as well. We ordered the same thing. While I love their hot foods and other coffees, this was definitely a miss. Don't order the boba teas 😟. But don't let boba stop you from coming here. Service is great, it's a very comforting place, food is really good. June 2024: While looking for a new coffee place to go to while working on computer I decided on CCC. Good reviews and lots of tables. Took a chance and glad I did. Will definitely be back! The one thing to note, they do not have AC. Their back and front doors were open and they have fans and today was warm but inside it was comfortable. So if you must have AC, it won't be available here. The women behind the counter today were super nice and brought my bagel to me. Nice touch. Highly recommend this little coffee shop.
First time here and it was so cute! The coffee was great. I only got an apple turnover which was REALLY good. I have a huge sweet tooth and saw some other goodies I might like. I would definitely be back. The people at the counter were also very nice and friendly and patient too!
The atmosphere and the free wifi are the best part about this coffee shop! When the Turkish woman and the tall blonde girl used work here, the food was amazing!! The new girls are so bad at cooking and making coffee. From now on will only come here for some tea.
Food was great, yet the cats kept in the back are stray. They don't belong to the cat cafe, and are rarely out throughout fall winter and spring. Prime time to visit being the middle of summer. And even then the kitties are usually out doing their own thing. Place is usually packed, but when it's not, it's a great place to read, study and relax. Waiters really aren't that attentive, and it gives off more of the self serve style. I'd still recommend a visit there, maybe with a friend. No cats gets a little boring.
I think this is a friendly cute little cafe spot with a warm setting. However there is a downfall. The two young girls behind the counter were very friendly and nice but definitely need training . I ordered a cup of coffee and a simple bagel toasted with butter and jelly. They took 15mins to make the bagel when it should have taken 5, and my coffee was cold and seemed like it was the last of the coffee sitting there. When I finally got my bagel, there was a splatted SPOT of what seemed to be OLD strawberry jam (in stead of jelly) in ONE corner of the bagel, (I was shocked). Every condiment on a sandwich should always be evenly spread and equally noted. I removed the spot of Strawberry jam from the corner of the bagel, and asked the staff member to heat up the coffee. With that being said, that was my first visit and unfortunately that will be the last visit. Owners Please keep in mind, it's not the beauty of a restaurant or cafe spot, it's the chef that makes it. I have been to shabby little nothing eating places, but the chef behind the food was soooo AMAZING, it left me with the memories of that place and wanting more. With that comes word of mouth and a lot of recommendations. Please put someone behind the counter that knows how to make your business grow. OR properly train the staff you already have. Wish you all the best.
So I've been here many times to study but have already had a bad experience with the food last year and stopped ordering. This is my second time trying food from their cafe and I've had a worse experience than last. I saw the chef using the bathroom, coming out then proceeded to make a salad using their bare hands no gloves. Food was 40 minutes late for 1 plate and they forgot the other one completely. They need to work on their system. Nice place to study but bad service:( doll
Cute store but they are flies everywhere and getting on the food. Food takes forever to come and they charge a lot for basic stuff that are presented horrible . It would be worth the price if the portions were normal sized . staff are very kind though .
EDIT - I spoke to soon about the positive changes. I stopped in this morning to do some studying only to find out the nice girl from last week is gone, along with all the improvements they had made to the back patio. So I'm docking them one star for each. WHAT IS IT WITH THIS PLACE? At this point the best thing they could do with this space is give it to someone else. You're better off going to The Spot around the corner, as someone else recently recommended. ----- This place has come a long way in the last year. The changes they have made to staff (the morning girl is great) and the ambiance of the cafe brought my girlfriend and I back after a couple bad experiences. I still wish there were better menu selections, which is why I can only give it 4 stars - but this is a big improvement for a cafe that didn't seem like it would last.
Used to be my go to place in Ridgewood. I actually remember this place from way back when it became one of the first local cafes to open in the neighborhood, paving the way for the others in the years to come. I’ve come here countless times and hold this place near and dear, which is why this review is necessary as well. It’s insane how low the quality of some of the items on the menu are. Especially the food. Bagels have never been great here but lately, you’re lucky if you get your stale brick of a bagel in under 20 minutes. The sandwiches are usually just ok and if anything the omelettes looks pretty, but are usually tasteless. Simple drinks like cappuccinos or lattes also are never done correctly. It’s insane that Dunkin Donuts or something would give you a better made cappuccino than a local cafe. This place has many things going for it. It has a great interior and a pretty backyard. The staff is friendly and welcoming. It honestly is a nice place, but too often lately I have I gotten something that I’ve felt bad for giving money for, and it needs to be said
Spent 17 dollars on a chicken sandwich and a coffee just for my chicken sandwich to be disgusting. I literally had to take all the chicken out and eat it separately. I usually don't give out bad reviews but come on. I recommend not getting food from here just coffee. I'm pretty upset especially at the price they selling this at. They used kraft singles as chesse and utz chips. Terrible.
The advertising is misleading, the few pastry options are very bad, ultra-processed packaged things and the atmosphere in the place is rude, the other customers are extremely intolerant of the normal noise of a place like this, next to my table there was a mother with her daughter making the normal noise of a child and the other customers ordered her to be quiet and in the end asked her to go somewhere else because of the noise. I would not return to this place honestly
My friend and I ordered an omelet and a chicken salad. It took them a good 30 minutes to make even though there were very few other customers. When the omelet arrived, it was burnt on the outside and runny on the inside. Soon after we left, we both experienced symptoms of food poisoning.
A little bit confused about this place. I asked them if the turkey sandwich is a cold cut, and they said no. The sandwich came out and rest assured, it was one slice of a cold cut turkey. On top of that it wasn’t even heated up… What? I returned it and ask him to heat it up. The açaí smoothie tasted like water and banana. My friend ordered a chicken salad, and and specifically said twice that she does not want walnuts in it because she is allergic. Of course, it came out with walnuts.
This place was mostly a disappointment… was with someone that wanted waffles and we ended up here. The atmosphere seemed good, decent options on the menu and decided to give it a try. Only thing that didn’t make it a 1-star is the service and good coffee. The CC Waffle had a few things except flavor. The waffle itself had a bit of a weird taste, even the strawberries were off, only thing that made somewhat tolerable was the nutella and banana, that’s it. Also ordered a deli style sandwich (not on the menu but said there was no problem making it but charged for each ingredient) got turkey, t-bacon, lettuce, tomato, avocado and mayo. Individually charged for the turkey itself $3 and guess what… only put 1 thin slice of turkey… talk about paying over $15 and getting that… at least the everything bagel was good. Not a good experience and surely not coming back.
Usually, this was my go-to place for breakfast and coffee but after how I was treated today I won’t be coming back. Some people who work there should change their attitude or you will lose a lot of clients. You saw the coffee when we walked in, why you didn’t say anything until after we placed the food order? Also, being nice doesn’t hurt you know? Thank you for replying to the review, I will definitely not be coming back.
This is not a Cat Cafe. There's some stray cats in the back and don't look like they've had any medical care ( Scratching for fleas and injuries) and are not fixed. Seems like this place doesn't really care about the cats. Maybe they just use them to lure customers? Water bowls filthy and empty food bowls. Sad.
They do not serve the plates in order of who came first. They just charge you and you have to wait a lot. At the end I have to go talk with the waitress because I wait 45min for a chicken sandwich were the chicken was not cook good. I didn’t want to get sick 🤢. First and last time at this place.
Ordered 4 items and the barista made my coffee wrong. I said that’s not what I ordered her words “I wasn’t paying attention”. Then when we left & went to eat our croissants they were hard as a rock and seemed to be 2 days old. A waste of $20, over priced and inedible food. I don’t recommend.
Absolutely horrible customer service and even worse food. I ordered a bagel to stay as I was planning to spend a few hours studying. 20 minutes pass and my bagel wasnt ready. I went up to the ladies who took my order and asked where my egg and cheese bagel was as they usually bring it to you if youre dining in, and they had given my food to another table. They go up to the table they gave the bagel to, which was in a corner untouched bc they did not order it, and they proceed to giving me the food saying here you go. So you want me to eat something on someone elses table that was sitting there, cold, breathed on and touched for all i knew because of your mistake? I told the ladies make me a new bagel and suddenly within 2 minutes my "new bagel" arrived. It was a soggy , heated up bagel that anyone with 2 brain cells would know they simply heated up the old bagel. Not only is the customer service disgusting, food was horrible but everyone knows that heating up eggs can give you salmonella food poisoning. This place has gone downhill over the years. Never coming here again . The spot cafe the next block over is a million times better and have employees who own up to mistakes not try to pull one over on a customer.
This is not a cat cafe. You use some community cats living in backyards to lure customers on the pretense you care for them. You don’t. You feed them a bit and that’s about it. Every cat living outside needs to be vaccinated and spayed or neutered but you don’t provide any of that and make it difficult for those who offer help in that regard. I did trap the mom and kitten yesterday in the yard next door because you didn’t allow me to do so at the outdoor space of the cafe. Now the cats will receive the medical care they need that you failed to provide while you claim to care for them. Those are not your cats. They are community cats cared for by other people who live on that block and feed them in their yards as well. According to nyc law every cat needs to be vaccinated against rabies and owned cats who are not fixed are not allowed outside. If you try to claim you own them then you can be fined for not following those laws. If you wanna run cat cafe you need special permit but you don’t wanna pay for that. You use those cats to make money for your business as customers think this is a cat cafe. It isn’t. There was another cat last year that was not neutered or vaccinated and had wounds from scratching due to allergies. You didn’t take him to vet. We did. And we found him home because due to his allergies he shouldn’t be living outdoors. But you wanted to keep him to lure customers. So stop pretending you care for the cats. Shame on you.
I was loyal to Cute Cat Café for years, but they repeatedly gave me dairy milk instead of oat milk. and twice i ordered a chai latte with oat milk and they gave me a glass of straight-up dairy milk, no chai flavor at all. I’m a barista, I get that mistakes happen but I no longer come here because of that. Furthermore, a local stray cat rescue tried to get the cats in the Cute Cat Café spayed/neutered and vaccinated, and CCC was horrible to them. Don’t call yourself a cat café unless you actually care for the cats.
This place is terrible. The other reviews are most likely from their family and friends who hang out there constantly. I've never been to a coffee shop where you pay with a debit card and the card machine prompts you to leave a tip even if it's to go. Tacky. Always very hot in this place and the outdoor seating in the back is horrible littered with trash and filthy fake turf under rickety outdoor chairs and tables. Order coffee to stay and you'll be served in their "brand" mugs which are smaller in size than the to go cups. Don't waste your time. This place won't last. Go to "The Spot" on Madison instead much nicer and more pleasant atmosphere. It's obvious by the number of people you see outside and inside. **spend some time and effort on your place rather than looking for good reviews. I've lived in this neighborhood longer than you've been around. Sorry if you can't handle an honest review. **no problem ; )
Terrible experience there, I don’t appreciate having my things moved or touched by other clients specially being disabled and it being my mobility device. Then as I am speaking in English to him, he is saying I don’t speak Spanish so I moved it. The store manager and barista did nothing about it. Very sad a disabled person has no support of the staff when they stepped in. I ended up leaving cause out of millions of table the jerk sat at the one in front of me. Edit: I love how the lady presented herself as part of the business. They should handle cases like this better but seeing your stance on taking the side of someone who bully’s woman and disabled people sis so don’t see any type of apology here maybe we’re better off with Starbucks a manager there would’ve stepped up!! I hope your or your family don’t experience the bullying your store supports.
Tremendously underwhelmed. $8 for a watered down coffee. Ever since the new management, this place isn’t the same. Ordered a lox breakfast sandwich and it literally had one piece of smoked salmon cut in half. The rest was greens. Asked about the latte because it tasted like water and the staff gave us an attitude and wanted to charge extra to “fix” it. Everything in this store is cheap now, including the coffee beans, espresso, etc. complete waste of money, would not recommend.
If you want actual good coffee, you’re better off going anywhere else. Nice place to sit down tho that’s about it
I rescued homeless Cats ❤️i love so much i have kept. I got them spayed neutered and they r my family, so this place was chosen by my friend to take me, A Cat Lover. I am disappointed they do not help feed Cats who are in depressing cages in overcrowded shelters. And there are millions on the streets suffering in snow, winter, hot dry summers so - i wish this place donated help homeless cats. Humans have so many programs for food and clothes- it is a shame a “cat restaurant” uses cats as an attraction but- does nothing to help cats ignored by many
