You can sit yourself wherever you want, but the waitress comes right away with the menu, explain what the house special as well as the drinks. She was very nice & sweet she gave us enough time to see what we wanted. But even after we got served, she came every 10 mins to ask if we were okay or if we needed something. The food was absolutely delicious and the drinks were perfect, not too heavy on the liquor but they weren't cheap either. The music was a vibe definitely coming back!!!

This place is my family's go to. The staff is so friendly, especially Neyra. She is always friendly and extremely welcoming. The food is also a plus! The frozen mango margaritas and the white sangria are a favorite. The sampler appetizer plate is chefs kiss as well as the burrito bowl and the queso fundido.Highly recommend!

This has been our 4th time visiting La Casita. Each time the food and the drinks were awesome. On our 4th visit we had the good fortune of having a great server. Her name is Letti. She was so hospitable. Our drinks were made to look & taste like a work of art. She took care of the whole.room with grace & efficency. Letti as well as the resturants offerings make me want to go again. Hope you take the time to visit. It was very enjoyable 😉.

My wife and I had an absolutely delicious meal here last night. We've ordered delivery from here several times, which was equally fantastic, but this was our first time eating at the restaurant and we will be going back. Our server, Letty, was great. She was friendly, welcoming, attentive and even though she was wearing her mask, we could tell she was smiling and happy to see us. For appetizers we ordered the Fried Avocado and Mexican Street Corn on the Cob. Both were fantastic. The avocado was crispy on the outside and super creamy inside and perfectly seasoned. The corn was tender, perfectly cooked and the mayo chipotle sauce added such an amazing flavor to it. For our mains we had the Wet Steak Burrito and the Chorizo Queso Fundido. Again, both fantastic and the portions were huge. The burrito was hot and fresh, the steak was tender and the sauce was spicy, but not overly spicy. A perfect compliment to the burrito. The Chorizo Queso Fundido was our favorite. Creamy Mancego Cheese with melt-in-your-mouth chunks of Chorizo, along with sliced avocado, Pico de Gallo and strips of jalapeno, which added just the right amount of heat to the dish, all baked in a cast iron pot and served fresh from the oven. It was exquisite. We highly recommend giving this wonderful place a try.

Finally, a nice spot in Ridgewood to hand out. La Casita Mexicana is newly renovated and has modern Mexican decor with a casual ambiance. They serve Mexican food that is fresh and colorful. Portions are generous, the price is right, and the service is excellent. I recommend trying shrimp quesadilla!

This is one of the most vibrant gems in the neighborhood! The food is authentic, artfully plated, and generously portioned. You can expect to bring home left-overs! The servers are the kind of people you’d come back just to have a drink with. Their happy-hour is a steal if, like me, you love tequila. Their decor is filled with color and personality. Their outdoor seating is in peak sunshine for Fall afternoons, garnished with the subtle traces of paint, local muses, and all of the nostalgia that a picnic table can offer.

A neighborhood gem with amazing outdoor atmosphere! Everything about this place is fantastic, from the warm welcome, excellent service to the delicious food with authentic Mexican flavor. The avocado fries and guacamole are a must have for appetizer! Will definitely be back to try everything on the menu.

Tortilla soup was amazing, 10/10 Spicy, with cheese and avocado! We also ordered Mexican style corn and tacos. Their Pico de Gallo is lemony and resembles a good ceviche instead. It's possible they got mixed up in the kitchen but it was a welcome surprise. I do not recommend asking for some Pico de Gallo on the side.. 4$ for a small sauce container.

I loved it, I bought La Casita Burger that consists of angus beef, oxaca cheese, guacamole, jalapeños, lettuce, Tomato, onion, pico de Gallo and chipotle sauce, with a side of steak fries. Wow, you will not regret it. It has so much flavor, and not a regular burger at all. This is definitely my go to burger now. I have tried other burgers that were way more expensive, but this one is so far my favorite and a great price $18. They are very quick to deliver as well, and send you notifications/updates if you order online.

We have been coming here and to the Fresh pond Road restaurant since they opened. The food is always fresh, delicious and huge portions. The drinks are wonderful- the homemade sangria especially. What makes us coming back over and over besides the great food and drinks is the service staff. They all work so hard and work so well together. Omar and Leddy are our favorites! They are friendly, kind and go out of their way to make sure you are happy!

I recently visited La Casita Mexicana. This place has a really great atmosphere and delicious food. The fish tacos were outstanding - they were filling and packed with flavor. The guacamole and chips were also excellent and generously portioned, making it the perfect dish to share with friends. The drinks were well-crafted and complemented the meal perfectly. Ran into this hidden Gem in the neighborhood. The food was amazing had the steak nachos which was packed with flavor, the guac was fresh and citrusy, the nachos tasted made in house and not out of a bag, and my personal favorite part was that the nachos were cheesy. The drinks were excellent I had the pepino diable and a frozen mango margarita and they packed a punch, the presentation was excellent.

Excellent service. The steak and seasoning as well as the vegetables and guacamole that came with the order were delicious, fresh, and lean. Be aware of when taking pleasures in the sauces, the red sauce has a kick! Tequila prices are exceptional. Wait time was 10mins but it was a Monday evening.

Came here for dinner on a Sunday and everything was great. We ordered a burrito bowl and a burrito and the food was great, prices fair. Our server Yazmin was awesome👍🏾.

Que rico!!! Only got a chance to try a few dishes but will definitely be back shortly to try everything on the menu (not at once ;) ). We were greeted with nachos and some nice salsa- yum. Avocado fries were incredible and are my picky daughter’s favorite. They are crunchy on the outside and perfect inside served with some delicious sauce that completes the dish. Guacamole is to die for and the portions are huge. We also got grilled chicken, fajitas and a steak 🤤. All dishes were delicious and made to perfection. I loved to add some salsa to my fajitas to give it an extra kick. The place also looks pretty and attractive with all the colorful details. La Casita- I will be back very soon.

Ordered the carne asada and it was a whopping $35 for the plate. You could at least add some pico de gallo on that plate that only consist of meat rice n beans thats what is missing to help justify the over price

I been here twice food is great the only reason my rating is because 2nd time around I alerted the waitress I cant eat cheese to please don't add cheese to any of my plates and she must have disregarded my request as it is an allergy i have .....but I would recommend this place to anyone who in the mood for authentic Mexican food!

Their tacos are great, have really good flavor, well seasoned, and the guac taste fresh. The only thing I would suggest to the restaurant is to use smaller taco shells. I wouldn’t suggest putting more meat because it’s obvious they aren’t trying to do that. It looks like you guys are working on a budget so filling them up would be costing you money. Yes these are 10$ but you are literally getting what u paid for it’s not a deal! Other than that great place :)

Great food but they try to upsell a little bit too much.

We tried a couple dishes the guacamole with chips. Had the queso fundido with chorizo and Caesar salad. For the mains we order tacos al pastor which are served 3 per order. I had the burger even tho I asked for med rare it was cooked more on the well done side. The shrimp tacos needed something different because they are served with guacamole and pico de gallo. I personally feel that it should have a crunch so maybe cabbage would go well. The red sangria was a great serving, order a mojito but just wasn’t for us. Then had a michelada super good and for the price as well. The restaurant is super small but very comfortable just a nice casual little place. Also we were a table of 3 adults and two older kids one baby and had the 18% included which I find that the server didn’t let us know but while checking the bill I realized they included it. I understand big parties perhaps that occurs but it would have been nice for the server to let people know just a heads up 😉. Overall pretty good just need a little more flavor on some things their salsas weren’t flavorful 🥲.

Very cute place, got seated and it wasn't over crowded, that being the case the only problem was that it took a LONG time for the good to come out, considering there were only two seater tables. The decor is cute and fun and they have outdoor seating. Nice place to check out in the area.

The first impression on a first date can set the tone for the night or the rest of your life. That's how I feel about chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant. This place did not disappoint! On the chips and salsa that is. The salsa actually had a slight kick to it! A lot of other Mexican restaurants give a sweet tomato American salsa. I was so excited to try the dishes. I'm going to be honest here.... I have to say I liked the food 70% . I order a skirt steak, nopales, enchiladas, with rice and beans. Steak and nopales were awesome. Enchiladas were served with a thin enchilada sauce that soaked into the tortilla so no real sauce. Chicken on the inside. A bit dry and not too much flavor. Taquitos, hand was covered in oil after eating just one. It was ok. Same dry filling as the enchilada. Horchata was delicious, churro was basic. Great service. Cute place. I'd go back and try something else... give it another chance.

Very very cute restaurant! Came here a couple nights ago for a dinner with friends, the food was very good we ordered some drinks which were also good, only thing I will say is the drink I got was actually not the one that I ordered (I ordered a watermelon mojito but got strawberry) which could have just been a mixup but honestly it was a bit hard to hear in the restaurant because the music was very loud, it was just very hard for me and my friends to hear each other over the music without raising our voice, and our waiter possibly wasn’t able to hear us either because I ordered some things that never made the table :/. Still the food was very good and the portions were great for the price. Overall had a good time, the staff was welcoming and the food was great I would definitely recommend and I hope to come back soon! (P.S. The guacamole was amazing!)

This place has cute decor inside and outside and a great vibe. The drinks were made well and perfect amount of flavor and liquor. The food came out quickly and had great flavor. The salsa came out with a little kick of spice, and they had avocado fries I didn’t know I needed to try those until I did. But the BIRRIA tacos are a must try they were so tasty and flavorful. The steak I had was good I had steamed vegetables in the side because I didn’t want the food to be too heavy but the steak was a big piece and filling! If your in the area it’s definitely a place to go for a girls night or even date night it’s super cute. Service was good and our bartender who was also our server was wry attentive

Ordered from this place on ubereats - a fajita. The meat and the other ingredients were very good - though they packed four baby tortillas that could barely hold a SINGLE pepper. Hate being one to complain- but I couldn’t find forgiveness in me for this one.

I read the reviews from this place and most were positive so I figured I'd give them a chance. I ordered the steak tampiquena. I don't typically leave bad reviews but for $31 they could have used seasoning. My entire plate had no flavor. Beans tasted like they came out the can, my yellow rice was bland, steak had to flavor. Thankfully they gave hot sauce and used that to dress my food. I was very disappointed and definitely will not be eating here again. I gave 2 stars because it did look pretty but looks are only half the meal.

Honestly we had not been here in a long while and boy am I sorry we returned. Huge waste of money. The service was terrible. We had to ask for water several times. There were 7 of us and only 2 people got served while the other 5 waited about 15 minutes for their food. The food itself was bland. Mexican food without flavor is a crime! Ironically, my sisters shrimp tacos were SALTY. She couldn't finish eating her meal. Shame because it's a really pretty restaurant and it used to be good. As we were leaving no one said goodbye or thank you. Overall terrible experience. We were there Saturday at 5:30 pm on 11/6/21.

Really bad experience. Rude waitress. Bad food. After I ordered a basket of nachos with a delicious salsa was brought to my table. It a little while to bring out my main dish but I guess one has to wait for freshly cooked food. Instead they brought me something that was out of the microwave and still cold in the middle. Not warm - Cold! When I brought it to attention of the waitress she told me that it should not be cold and took my plate without trying to explain or apologize for what happened. 5 minutes later she returned the same plate back to me warning me that it's very hot and I should be careful how I touch it. Everything on the plate was steaming hot, literally streaming hot, from the microwave. The different kinds of cheese had all melted to a milky consistency and dripped and mixed up with the beans on the bottom of the plate. The rice was burnt crispy and the main meat and vegetables on the center were sitting on top of that mess on the bottom of the plate. Once again I had to look for the waitress to bring it to her attention. This time she could not see anything wrong with the plate. She could not understand that they should have warmed up the food separately in the microwave. I told her that I could not eat it and asked for the check. Her response was even less professional than earlier. She told me in a rude way that I don't have to pay for it and left my table to serve another table. (That was the only plate I had ordered, I had gone there for lunch) Her resolution was worse than the food she had just served me. Someone must tell her that I didn't go there to waste the little time that I had for my lunch break. A better resolution would be to suggest another plate or at least apologize. What is the owner of this business thinking? Hire a bad cook and then a bad waitress? How can a professional cook or waitress present such a bad plate? Hiring untrained people means that you have to train them before you ask them to cook food or serve it. Even if cooking means simply using the microwave and even if serving means to try to be nice to the customer when your cook has messed up. To top off bad service in my opinion the prices are very high for the area and the decor of this restaurant. My recommendation is to avoid this restaurant.

We never got anything to drink, not even tap water. We finished our meals thirsty, as you can see on the picture below, we did not get a single glass of water. The waiters don’t check up on you at all, I had to wave with both arms for them to even notice me and bring me the check because they forgot about us. The Staff was just hanging out by the bar, chilling, laughing and having drinks. Meanwhile we walked in thirsty and we left thirsty. The food also took a very-very long time to come out, and our orders didn’t even come out at the same time. Me and my Husband got our food, but our 4 year old had to wait for extra 15 minutes …. We had to feed our son with our meals because he had nothing to eat. Very bad service, I don’t recommend this place.

We arrived at 10:10 and the bartender said the kitchen was closed which was fine. But the restaurant closes at 11. We said we were only getting a drink and the bartender replied saying the bar was closing in 20 minutes. It’s bad customer service for a Mexican establishment in Ridgewood. As a Mexican, we have great personal skills and he lacked that. I came regularly while my dog was being groomed, but I will not return. I came with two other friends and they will not be coming back as well.

Me and my family ordered delivery for my mother’s birthday. The total came out to $60+ for 3 people (3 items). The presentation was beautiful, and then it just went downhill from there. The steak + al pastor tacos had no salt, no garlic; essentially no flavor aside from the lime. The corn had no char, and essentially no flavor as well. The chicken quesadillas tasted of only cheese despite being full of chicken. The only thing I could recommend to you would be the guacamole. Not worth it at all for the price.

I came in during happy hour and ordered a margarita, and I do not recommend . At a Mexican restaurant, I would expect them to take pride in their margaritas, but this one was made with sour mix instead of fresh lime, which gave it an artificial taste. We also ordered queso fundido, which turned out to be extremely greasy. Everything is pretty overpriced. 25$ for a burrito ? The service the most disappointing part of my experience. Our waitress had an attitude throughout the meal. My daughter, was quietly playing with some individually wrapped straws. Instead of speaking to me first, the waitress abruptly yanked them from her and said they were now “contaminated” and had to be thrown out. I told her I had no issue paying for them, but what bothered me most was how it was handled. Staff should be more mindful about how they approach children—especially since not all children are the same. In my daughter’s case, taking something out of her hand without warning caused her stress and could have escalated into a bigger issue. Children with autism can sometimes become very upset or even harm themselves if put into high-stress situations. More sensitivity and communication with parents would have made a big difference. Will not be returning.

Walked in for a table of 4. Empty place just another 3 top in the restaurant. Waited for 15 minutes, meanwhile she was just conversing with a friend. After she was done talking she had yet to attend had to call her attention. Drinks took about 10 minutes. Ordered apps. After finishing apps waited 10 minutes for service but meanwhile a new server had come and they were just conversing as well, mind you a guest had come in as well and also Had to go and grab her attention. Cherry on top was the entree with the steak torta, had asked for the avocado on the side but the order was incorrect. For apps I ordered the chicken nachos which were very good, until I saw where they maintain the chips for service. In a box with a glove dangling on the side with no regard to food safety. Ordered a Mexican molcajete, it was the best appearance wise but lacked seasoning. Ordered the torta Which was incorrect, had ordered the avocado on the side but came regular. Also don’t order it’s basically a salad with jalapeños and a small slice of rubbery steak. Was estatic to try this place in the neighborhood but sadly was let down. Overall the hospitality is abismal, service was poor, food was ok it lacks seasoning. And the drinks are the best of the three just because it makes this service less painful! I didn’t ask for the waitress name but on my tab it says Neyra, there was two servers at the end. The one that attended out table was taller. Don’t want the bad rep to go to the other server that was more attentive.

This is one of my favorite places to go and eat Tacos, but every-time I order for delivery my food is drenched making the taquitos soft and mushy. Taquitos should he crunchy. The food should also look like the picture in the website.
