Was amazing food was great

Very good tacos I went on Taco Tuesday. 🌮 if you enjoy tacos give them a try! Got 4 tacos for 5 bucks. I would like to try the burgers next!

Not fancy but not trying to be, low-key playful marketing/decor, good quality food (pulled pork is my personal favorite). I've only been at slightly off from dinner rush so I don't how it is when it's busy but no problems with service when I have been in. New family favorite for us and our 2 preschoolers.

The Tacos were good and a good deal on tues. Burritos also very fresh, I will go back!

We used to live in Greece but moved out. In between that time, this place opened up so when we drove by on a Friday night, we saw it & decided to give them a shot. We sat in the parking lot looking over the menu, then set up an order online for pickup (COVID times so we couldn’t use the dining area which looked nice).I was surprised for it to say our order would be ready in 10mins. We walked in, grabbed it to go (they also have a drive thru to pick up orders...we didn’t know that at 1st). Food was great! Our picky eater tore up his marinated grilled chicken sandwich, my Nacho Chicken sandwich with avocado cream & nacho sauce was sloppy but so damn good. My girlfriend enjoyed her veggie burrito & fries. For the food & price, this is a definite fixture in our fast food rotation.

First let me say I equally enjoy all 3 locations, the food is always great, made with fresh ingredients, good portions and prices are appropriate. I love that there vegan/ vegetarian options.

We have been regulars with Jose Joe's since just the Hilton location, however Ridgeway is way closer so we frequent there more often. Tonight, after getting takeout home my boyfriend noticed his burgers on his garbage plate were undercooked so we called & they made him a new one super fast, & they surprised us with free dessert in the bag even though they absolutely didn't need too! Out of probably a solid 50 visits this was the first time our order was ever incorrect in any way, so obviously this place has a dedicated staff. Thank you guys!

Not sure what to make of this place other than I have to come back and try more of the menu. I had three tacos , steak, chicken and pork. All amazing. Staff great and the restaurant is very clean and inviting. Worth a stop / try if you are in the area

Soooo good. Josè carnè was huge and packed with meat and veggies,beans etc. In house made chips. Guacamole was fresh and on point. First time eating here, absolutely elated with the experience. Plus a menu for those that don't want all the veggies (my daughter(7). Can't wait to try burgers too.

For those of you who miss mighty taco you won't be disappointed eating a burrito here. The quality of the food is better and the meal overall is more satisfying. I highly suggest you get out and give them a try. Fast and tasty.

We had lunch catered today for our office . The food was amazing !! Fresh food - great communication , organized , and professional. The dessert burritos were also a huge hit . My entire office talked about it day. Really great job ! We will definitely be ordering again .

Always an excellent meal when eating here... always. This time, we skipped the burritos and went for a burger (the Jose Joe) and the taco salad. Both do agains!

Really unique and excellent food. I get the garbage plate in a bread bowl and it's not like anything else you can get other places. Burgers are great, Mexican food is top quality. Our family loves nplace.

Tried them for the first time. Placed my order online and picked up in the drive-thru. They have a really cool menu of stuff. A very simple process. The drive-thru moved very quickly and the service was very friendly. I ordered a burrito, and it was bigger than I expected. Everything tasted great. I will definitely be back.

This place is beyond delicious. Their nachos and cheese are super unique to me. Almost like a pita nacho. IT'S SO DANG GOOD. Their tacos are super delicious also. Personally, I don't know how "authentic" everything tastes. I added a lot of stuff not available from taco places I know, so that is likely my own fault (lol), but it is EXTREMELY delicious. If you can make it here, do it. I flipping love it. The food is So freaking good. I said that already, BUT STILL!!! Next time I will take pictures.

I’ve been to the Hilton location and had a great experience. Nice to see another location closer to home, and that makes it better! Burritos are delicious and there’s plenty of hot sauce to add a kick. I prefer chunky guacamole but the guacamole they have is creamy. Still delicious. The place looks great. Very clean and presentable. Definitely worth checking out.

I live by the Hilton one, but I frequently visit this one for my lunch (dinner time) at work and it's always fabulous. A million times better than the Hilton location . Their cooks are quite good, counter girls are not the friendliest but I am not there for that. Their cheesecake burritos are a MUST have.

We ordered a catered taco and nacho bar for company lunch this month (25 people), adding on rice, black beans, and desserts. The catering person was great to work with and made ordering so easy. Our food was delivered a little early. The delivery person was also great to work with, and he set everything up for us. Everything was included The meal was a huge hit! The food was very fresh -- even the desserts were still warm. Everyone LOVED the meal from Jose Joe's and requested that we do this one again. The only issues I saw were minor. The first is that the cheese in the nacho sauce wasn't fully melted (the sauce contained chunks of unmelted cheese in varying sizes). The second is that there must have been a manufacturing problem with the taco trays as every so often, the "flap" end of one was glued to the end of the next tray. It wasn't a problem because we have paper plates here, but I felt you should be aware that it happened. We will definitely be ordering this meal again! Thanks, Jose Joe's for your great food and great service!

Came here on a whim and was pleasantly surprised, the burgers and wraps were excellent! There was a good variety of toppings and sides available. I can see seating might be an issue if it's busy, but today it was a ghost town. The restaurant was clean and seemed to be well managed, we will definitely recommend it!

The menu is pretty consistent across all locations! A really great quality for any small chain. Same great experience as usual! I liked the subtlety of the toasted bread bowl lid and the cheesecake dessert is a nice add!

I was told their first location was a must try, so I was very excited to have them open here in Greece. Well, they definitely lived up to the hype with excellent burgers at a great price. The staff was very friendly, and service was amazing!! Can't wait to go back again and try more items.

Absolutely delicious food. I've had both a burger and a burrito here, and I have been very pleased with each. The ingredients taste fresh. The prep is a much higher quality than you encounter at most fast-casual eateries. You would never guess this was a small, three-location chain. The graphic design for the menu and little brand touches throughout the restaurant strike you as the type of thing you would find in a chain with a dedicated marketing department -- indeed, are better than many national chains I've been to. All around, an excellent experience. Highly recommended.

The nacho crusted chicken salad is great. And the morning Joe burger too. Although the burgers are on the smaller side. The batter french fries are the best.

Really good. I had the 3 Amigos burrito. Biggest burrito I've ever tried to tackle. Really tasty! First time for the 4 of us. We all loved our meals. Free refills on drinks.

I loved my burrito, Jose Frito Burrito! They fry it after they make it and it is worth the wait. Takes a little longer to get, and the place doesn't seem overly popular. But the food was solid and the price was absolutely doable.

I went there for lunch and enjoyed everything we ordered. I would suggest their burgers and chicken were seasoned more.

It's actually a homemade taco choice of beef, family, chicken, or beans, and they don't charge you extra for the sour cream, tomatoes like Taco Bell does. It's a super deal on Tuesdays as you get four tacos for $5! The only crazy problem is, you have to phone in the order, you can't pull up to the drive-thru in order as you have to order ahead. So you park in the parking lot. Call the guy, wait 5 minutes, and go pick your order up. Also you have to pay in advance for those pickup tacos so be ready for that long dry nail prices is you read him all your credit card info and he reads it back to you. But if you don't mind that, it's a great value, and the food is decent. Tacos are choice of soft or hard shell.

Stopped here for lunch today for the first time. The place was super clean, staff was welcoming and curious, and the service was Pronto. We both had there Mexican inspired salads that were both tasty. We'll visit again and worth a visit if you haven't been!

Garbage burrito was the highlight for sure. Meatsauce was perfectly spicy, mac salad was creamy, overall really delicious burrito. The veggie burrito was ok. Won't spend $9 on it again but I appreciate a vegetarian option.

The loaded smashed potatoes... If you've had these then you already know. AMAZING. I was bummed the nacho crusted chicken wasn't seasoned and on the thin, dry side but luckily the cheese helped even it out. The burgers and tacos are great here. I love that it's made fresh and the menu items are creative and delicious!

Enjoyed our dinner, had a burger and a burrito. The bun could be better but the burger was built well. The description of the 3 amigos lead me to believe it was 3 tacos, call me confused. Don't get me wrong it was good but it was filled with 3 meats but there are signs everywhere for taco Tuesday. The smashed potatoes are the best thing we ate, we got them loaded. Don't miss out on them! The cheesecake was SMALL, but good. This place seems like it would be mobbed near RIT or UofR, it was eerie being the only people there at the heart of dinner. 3 door-dash orders were picked up but that was it. Hope it's busy enough to stay open.

The food is pretty good. The service was excellent today. Helped promptly, and my order was brought out to my table. The employee even checked to see if I needed anything else. The burgers are very good, and the quesadillia was average. The pico is very fresh. If you get the smashed potatoes, get them loaded. Ordered from here a few times. Will be back again.

First time eating at this restaurant and it was very clean inside, the staff was very nice and the food tasted good. Nothing special about the tacos just 3 regular beef tacos but they tasted good so that's what matters. I'd definitely go back and try different items.

Great taste, awesome variety in flavors and locally owned. This is not a traditional Mexican American restaurant, it is better. Great spot for lunch but I would also recommend it for dinner. Now I am big eater so, but for must people their portions are dinner. During lunch on a Tuesday it was very busy. Yet it was nice that they offer online ahead orders that can be pick up at a drive thru window. I would highly recommend to that Jojo and Carnitas. They have small portion meals too for few bucks. This is another of their two locations in Rochester, I can't wait to go again.

1st time here.I had a taco salad, lot's of lettuce, a little meat nothing special. No take out hot sauce only mild. I honestly won't waste my time going back.

It was okay. My burrito was good but I had gotten a side of chips and queso, and the queso was very curdled. My boyfriend got the Jojo burger (two burgers on a hoagie roll) and he couldn't get the roll to cover the top of his sandwich. So he ripped the roll in half to cover the top and all his topping fell off. Idk overall not a bad experience but not one I want to experience again. And personally I think it was expensive for what it is....

They have a wide selection of food, burgers, burritos, salads, quesadillas, tacos n more, but the quality of how is made is not yet the best. The place looks clean, with a small bar of ketchup, hot sauces, etc, this is my personal experience I order the smash potatoes, 3 of them where so burn they where hard as a rock, the loaded fries where saggy but tasted ok, the burger was very juice and tasted good so I guess there burgers are one of the best things to offer, the Jose taco salad was big n good but they forgot the crispy tortilla bites, they staff is very friendly and was easy to return the food for a fresh right made, but my personal opinion is that food should always be on point and fresh

If you plan to bring your kids plan to order off of the regular menu. Kinda disappointed that they did away with the kids menu! Food and service is OK. Not going to be on my list as a spot to bring the kids!!

I gave three stars for the fact this was my first time there. I only ordered a regular cheeseburger w/sautéed peppers, onions and mayonnaise, then waited for it. It was probably a 15 minute wait while I got to watch the cashier pull his pants up 30 or more times, 😆lol, at one point he was carrying food to a table one handed while he pulled them up approaching their table. Anyhow, I finally got my burger and headed to my car. The burger was fried crispy, (overcooked at high temp in my opinion), the toppings helped me get through it as I crunched my way to the end. I won't be ordering that if I ever go there again but their tacos looked good so I may give them another try. I hope this post helps management buy that young man a belt so he can stop touching his underwear with his hands every thirty seconds.

About what you would expect. For $12.50 including tax I got the Jose Carne burrito and a small ice tea. The burrito was large.

Very mediocre. I had the 3 amigos and it was shockingly bland. The rice was both over and under cooked. Server was friendly and the tables were clean.

Ordered 3 soft shell tacos beef and chicken and have to say that I felt there was no seasoning to the meat and overwhelming amount of sour cream. They put the 2 chicken tacos in one container and made one a lot smaller to be able to fit in the container 😳. Going to give them another try but .For not being really busy I would think there would be a little more love in the food. On the plus side very clean and very friendly staff

For years, I have meant to stop at a Jose Joes. Friends have praised the food. Recently, my spouse were driving by and we were wondering, so we stopped for an early dinner on the way home. I was disappointed for the experience. First, the menu board near the ordering counter, is needlessly complicated and cryptic (pictures of the menu items would be helpful for making meal choices). I chose the "Garbage Burrito," My wife chose the "José Callienté" -we had high hopes! Second, our food was WAY TOO SALTY! Nearly inedible! At the "condiment -water counter" there was a free iced water dispenser but no cups, the napkin dispenser was empty, too. Thirdly, the dining area was a bit greasy and stained (the walls are paneled with a galvanized metal roofing type material). The potted plants in the dining area (a nice touch if maitained) were near dead and could stand to be pruned and watered.

I apologize in advance for the length of this review. I have been to this Jose Joes multiple times. As always the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. The dining room is open for indoor seating and it was very clean. We pulled up and ordered using the online order system from the car. The order was fulfilled perfectly as ordered. Our pick up time was 20 minutes from ordering so we waited in the car. We went in to pick up at exactly the pick up time from the web site. The only complaint I have is that we were treated to cold food. Our order clearly sat on the unheated shelf next to the west facing drive through pick up window for most of the 20 minutes we were waiting in the parking lot.

This is my usual Mex spot, and I decided to go in-store today and had a very unusual conversation with the cashier there. I asked about their salsa availability and was told the Pico is the salsa. I went on to inquire if that were true why did the menu state there was regular hot salsa AND Verde salsa 😐

Good food but they butchered our order. Have black beans where refried were requested, paid extra for an extra egg on my morning Joe and didn't even get the 1 egg it's supposed to come with. Why would you give me a morning Joe without an egg? I can't waste my money here again

Food isn't anything special but offers a place both me and the hubby can eat if I want Taco's and he doesn't. Today made me want to never go back to this location. How do you serve someone a cheeseburger that wanted a hamburger then when it is brought back to the counter to have it remade they just scrape the cheese off and bring it back to your table with some of the cheese still on the burger. Brought it back up to the counter and told them the issue and they remade a hamburger but put it back on the bun that had the original cheeseburger on it and in the original container that has globs of cheese on the sides of the container. Now if my husband was allergic to cheese this would have been a major issue so I hope for their sake they re-train these employees so that someone doesn't get sick or hurt from their gross incompetence.

I ordered guacamole with my chips and I got queso; which was okay but charged more for guacamole? My breakfast burger tasted only of taco seasoning...roommate really hyped this place up, they say the Hilton one is better...still not gonna try it

Burritos are okay but not great. For less than 5 dollars more you can get a whole meal at an actual Mexican place. Burgers are frozen and gross 🤢. For a place with burger in the name I would expect them to at least make their own patty. Not to pull it out of a freezer. 10 dollars for a frozen burger..yikes

Grubhub I have gone in person and pick up and food is awesome. I ordered twice on Grubhub from work n the food was not good. Burnt dried out smashed potatoes both times. You pay more on the apps so the food should be just as good for app orders as it is if you go in person. Very disappointed

The “steak” is the quality of a cube steak. Seems like this just cut up their burgers for their burritos. I was trying to support local instead of going to Chipotle or Moe’s but this quality is terrible.

I was looking forward to trying this place and my husband and I placed an order for takeout tonight. My husband enjoyed his burrito, but my experience was ruined by extremely crunchy rice on my burrito. I ended up tossing most of it. My side of beans were dry and didn’t have much flavor. I feel like for the price, the quality was subpar. We wouldn’t be in a hurry to try the food again.

Tacos are regular tacos, hard shells or flour tortillas. Nothing special. I ordered the steak tacos, 2 soft, one hard, and the inside of them were average, cheese, lettuce and I added onion. I wouldn't order them again. The burger was surprisingly good, toasted bun, lettuce, tomato, onion and thick bacon bits. The fries were pretty good, and the potato side was okay. Not horrible food, but probably wouldn't stop again.

The food is ok, but the employees are rude incredibly rude. I was overcharged. When I complained, the person behind the counter said " oh well, our mistake" as he walked back over to talk to his friends ans ignore the issue with No apology. I asked for a refund and will never return.

Horrible. I paid about $25 for a burger, a burrito and a kids quesadilla. The $10 burger was smaller than a Big Mac and apparently came with no sides. The $10 burrito was cold, not warm, but cold, 10 minutes after I received the order, and a $3+ quesadilla was about half the size of what you get at Taco Bell. Word to the wise: for $10, get your burger at The Distillery or Texas Roadhouse. For $10, get your burrito at Moe's or Chipotle. For $3+, get your quesadilla at Taco Bell.

Ordered Jose Joe your way and taco fries. Man at the counter was rude. Took the order to go. The rice and green peppers were undercooked the chicken was dry and tasteless. This place is a joke,they continue to shut down an hour before closing time. I show up one day 15 minutes before 7:00 and I was told they couldn't sell any food, because it was too close to closing time. I show up today at 6:00, an hour before closing and told the same thing we can't serve any food only a bagel and drinks. The food is actually pretty good and I love the concept but the service is deplorable the owner of manager should fire everybody there!

Ordered 2 garbage plates with ketchup, mustard and onion. 15 min later after driving home we notice it's loaded with "meat hot sauce". Called to let them know and they say it automatically comes with that and you have to specifically say no hot sauce. Now I thought I did that by telling them I only want ketchup mustard and onion but furthermore I have been to jose joes alot and have never had to specify not hot sauce. If this is a new policy then it sucks and if not and they were wrong or lied that sucks too.

I ordered a Tres Amigos , they served it with burnt and overcooked rice , the manager gave me 2 options , they make me another or come back for another. She kept saying complimentary, how is it that I pay for something that was done badly returned it and left empty handed and hungry, AND SHE SAID COMPLIMENTARY. Its not I paid for it. Never gave me an option for my money back .I'll say this they were nice but not experienced, including Management. Will not recommend.

Horrible customer service. The wife ordered take out and my burrito was ordered with no vegetables (no peppers, no onions ,lettuce, tomato, etc). Returned home to eat dinner with the family and my burrito had veggies. Had to drive back 30 min round trip to get correct burrito and missed eating dinner with the wife and kids. You would think they would offer some complimentary chips or salsa or rice/beans but the did not and could care less. Do not give them your business there are many other locally owned restaurants who care about there customers.

DO NOT EAT HERE. I honestly should have had Taco Bell. This establishment clearly does not care about accuracy at all..three times this has happened.

We've eaten at this restaurant several times before, so this was't my first time here. A few weeks ago I ordered a regular Joe burger plain to go and asked them to cook it to "medium". I was told ok and paid for my food. My order came up, I took it home, and then looked at the burger when I got home. The top was way too overcooked and somewhat burned. I flipped the burger over and saw the bottom was burned, and I mean burned BLACK. There's no justifiable excuse for that. I drove back to the restaurant and showed the burned burger to the manager and asked him if he'd eat a burger that burned. Maybe not surprisingly, the manager said sure, he'd eat a burger that burned. I told him no you wouldn't, and then told him I wanted a fresh burger cooked that wasn't burned. So they managed to cook a fresh burger that wasn't burned and actually looked edible. A word of warning, check your burger when they serve it so you know what they're serving you. My total bill for a 1/3 pound burger and order of fries was just under $15. A whole lot of money for a small burger that they can't cook properly the first time. This wasn't the first time we've eaten here, but it will be the last time we'll eat here.

The service was just fine, but $16 for a steak fajita salad?? I had to pay extra to add cheese. There was no salsa verde on it and it was steak-um meat, not steak as advertised. So $16 for an overwhelming amount of lettuce more or less. Unfortunately my first and only visit.

GO TO FREAKING CHIPOTLE INSTEAD FOR REAL… this place was 5x worse than there. I came in around 4:30 on 9/25. Young man with dyed hair took my order I went up and asked how it was going he didn’t respond and asked what he could get me which is fine whatever.. I ordered and then he goes in the back to make the burrito and I hear this girl YELLING back there about some tally board they have up to track each workers mistakes … AS THE GUY IS MAKING MY BURRITO and I’m waiting RIGHT UP FRONT she’s yelling about how he’s messing up the Jose your way burrito -which was mine … and that he’s gotten 3 tally’s since being there for only a half hour. Whatever people mess up sometimes I get it but seriously yelling about it while I’m standing right there is a little ridiculous. I’m still hopeful the food will be good… I leave and open it up at home it was one of the messiest burritos I’ve ever gotten and didn’t have everything I asked for on it along with it just not tasting good overall. The smashed potatoes were huge and underdone. Horrible experience overall and I will not be back.

We are always in search for a new taco joint. The staff was very friendly. We ordered different tacos. All three were very skimpy. The meat was cold.. The manager replaced our tacos. The steak in the tacos reminded us of steakums with a lot of salt & pepper. We also ordered a pork taco that tasted like pork from a can. The meal came with a fountain drink and a side. We chose the chocolate chunk cookie dough burrito. The size was like a spring roll.
