Excellent soups, salads, and sandwiches. For us, it was an instant favorite place to grab lunch !
Wonderful soups. Fast friendly service on my lunch break from work. The order and pay on line and pick up is a wonderful service!
Great fresh sandwiches and soups, gluten free and vegan options clearly marked on main menu. Casual dining and take out.
Always excellent service and a tasty lunch :) Lots of options other than soup and they have a variety of dishes for many diet preferences/needs.
Love this place! Have eaten here a few times and it's so delicious. The soups are great, hearty, and flavorful!
Having the seafood bisque. It's good. Service nice and was quick. Surprisingly there were lots of spaces to sit during lunch time on a Friday.
Staff is stellar. Always take great care to give you a solid lunch, which is a key underrated meal.
Best soups around! Everything is fresh and home made. Love this place.
the staff was friendly and quick! the egg salad on a croissant is my favorite thing ever
One of my favorite lunch places. Next to soup & salad you will find healthy grain bowls on the menu
The Buffalo Chicken soup didn't seem as thick as normal. The girls are wonderful
Lobster bisque had chunks of Lobster and the chicken salad with grapes and walnuts was also delicious as usual
Amazing sandwiches and soups. I visit everytime I'm on town.
I never thought I'd love a place just for it's soup until I found Nathan's. Best soups I have ever had!
Love this place. Eat here at least one a week. Great soups and salads
Sadly, Nathan left us way too young, his legacy lives on. The best soups, salads and sandwiches...did I mention the soups?
Nice selection of pre-configured salads on the menu - all made fresh. Very reasonable prices. It's easy to stop in for a quick lunch. Everyone there was very pleasant. I will be back!
All their food is sooo good! I highly recommend the seafood supreme soup with cheese bread. If you want a sandwich the turkey cranberry salad is delicious. Great service & the owner is so nice.
Love love love this place! Only complaint I have is anytime we order a wrap it is tiny, just hasn’t been consistent with the size before. Other than that, Nathan’s is awesome
The daily soup specials give you a reason to go different times of the week. The location is big, but cozy feeling. Great for taking out or eating there!
My wife and I love this place. Kind of a local hidden gem in Rochester. They have the best soups and great sandwiches. The prices are not bad.
I hardly ever eat carbs but I had the lobster bisque and the chicken salad on multi grain bread and nearly died because it was sooooooo good. I loved it 😍 ❤
Nathan's is the best place for homemade soups! Great flavor and the service by all their friendly employees is second to none! Love Nathan's!
Sometimes soup due to cool weather, sometimes a nice summer salad. Always tasty.
Nathan's is the Best Soup and the Chicken Grape & Walnuts on a Croissant is Everything so so Good.😊🤗 they don't have enough STARS for there comfort food beyond infinity Good...........
Travel for their salad and bread, simple but delectable
Food taste good, quick service even during lunch hour, nice customer service
Fantastic sandwiches, soups, and breads. Buffalo chicken salad sandwich on a croissant is the way to go. "comfort in a cup" is the truth about their soup
Remember having good lunches at RIT when I was a student at the on campus Nathan's. Lunch here was delicious too.
Fantastic place for a variety of soups and sandwiches, personally love the buffalo chicken soup and cheese bread
The cheesy bread is still good. Its big and fluffy. I like pairing it with Bacon baked potato soup on a cold rainy day. It really warms my feet up
Met my son here for lunch. It was a great experience. Was served right away, friendly staff, really good food! My son had soup and bread. I had a chicken salad sandwich, and also took home some fresh. Everything was delicious. I would definitely go backm
The soup is so good. The salads look tasty and my sandwich on the jalp. bread was soooo good.
Always fresh tasting, home cooking soups. Friendly, kind service with a smile! The BEST tasting Cheesebread ever!!
The best soups around town. Options vary daily, but they have an app that can keep you informed. They also offer stuffed breads, salads, sandwiches, grain bowls, cookies and drinks. Plenty of parking that can fill up due to other nearby businesses. Quick service from friendly staff. Seating available, and take-out as well.
The soup is the best around and I've never left disappointed. The sandwiches are also phenomenal. Fresh ingredients and home made bread! The customer service gets an A+ as well. I highly recommend checking them out.
Sandwiches and soups are outstanding! The Tuna and egg salad combo on one roll is amazing! Service is with a smile always!
We just ate at Nathans and it was delicious as usual. We drove 2 hours here for an appt but Nathan's is my first choice to eat at.
I get this soup every time I have my chemo. Nathan's donates soup and bread to the Pluta Cancer Center. I love it so much, and look forward to it. Thank you for gifting the patient's of Pluta your wonderful soup! Thank you for the warmth, and goodness!
Great Menu with Lots of Options. We Ordered Pick Up. I got the Cobb Salad (minus avocado) with Adds Ons Like Craisins and Chick Peas. Dressing On the Side as I like To Taste the salad. I kid you not, every forkful is amazing. Fresh Vegetables. No wilting. Its so delicious. And The Guys Loved there sandwiches too! Highly recommended.
Tracey is so increase! She definitely takes pride in her work, the food and her customer’s joy. I appreciate her so much!
I started loving Nathan's when it was on Park Ave. Lucky for me, I lived across from there and would be able to have it whenever I wanted. Now they are in Henrietta (I live in Webster) but I look forward to the days that I work from home and take the round trip down to the Regional Market to pick up Nathan's soup! You can never go wrong with Nathan's. I personally get the tomato or buffalo chicken soups, and HAVE to get a jalapeno or garlic cheesy bread with it. I recommend this place for a fast, easy, light lunch.
What's not to love about Nathan's!? They have a full, but not overwhelming menu. Absolutely love the rotating selections of soup. They also have a great selection of breads with which you can get sandwiches as well as delicious salads! Highly recommend!
I love their soup and bread. I just tried their chicken salad on a croissant, absolute game changer for sandwhich type. Their gumbo, seafood bisque, and cheddar jalapeño bread are my absolute favorites.
Amazing homemade soups and sandwiches. The little breads are so delicious!! I love this place, we are lucky to have it! I recommend trying every soup and sandwich, even the salads are fresh and perfectly sized. You won't be disappointed. Wonderful staff as well.
Quick service, great food, great soup, rustic seating. Take out friendly.
I forgot how good this place is. Large soup and a loaf of cheese bread for under 10$, can't go wrong.
Fresh bread, reasonable prices, soups made from scratch, this place exceeded expectations! While the exterior doesn't seem inviting to cozy, tasty food, the atmosphere is inviting and allows for flexibility to your needs. A walk-in counter to place your order. Plenty of seating. Friendly staff. All topped off by excellent food on a cool fall day!
Great service, food like the warmest hug you could imagine, and a cozy little space to enjoy it all in. Nathans is the best thing to come out of my 4 years at RIT. It's just so good and comforting and I want it everyday.
I started going to Nathan's when they were located on Park Ave in the early 1990s. I knew by heart which soup to get on what day. Back in those days, the soups of the day would change each day and you would know which soups they would offer on what day. Today I had the incredible honor of having Tracey and Angela cater a ton of soups! They are absolutely amazing, wonderful and kind women that made my event OVER THE TOP PERFECT! The soups as always, are PHENOMENAL!!!!! A special thank you to Tracey and Angela that went above and beyond my wildest dreams of EXCEPTIONAL CUSTOMER SERVICE AND GENUINE CARE!
A cute restaurant which serves fresh delicious food. You have a choice of different types of bread to choose from to build a home made sandwich sandwiches and soups are listed on the chalk board above the counter. Soups are home made. Orders are taken at tge front counter as well as pick up and payment. I ordered the chicken salad on wheat wrap with lettuce tomatoe and red onion. The chicken salad was plentiful with a nice leafy lettuce tomatoes fresh and the onion was nice and sweet. It was delicious! And filling. I'll definitely be back again
I've been going here ever since I worked at Eastview mall and used to get their stuffed pepper and sausage soup a couple times a week (my favorite soup of theirs - highly recommend!). I have stopped into this location a couple times now and the staff are super friendly and kind. The location is a bit tucked away, but inside the building is plenty of seating and a cozy atmosphere. Last time I was there I got a turkey sandwich with avocado which was amazing. I suggest ordering online - the website gives you customization options, plus it can get fairly busy around lunchtime!
Specializing in soups and salads! Nice healthy change from the fast food network.
Great food and service. We meet here for lunch.
First time eating at Nathans. Twice to early to give it a 5-star rating. For the first time it is enjoyable. Prices are good and the food is great.
Love the food here. A little pricey for the potion size but always fresh and tasty. Staff is friendly and quick getting orders out.
My frustration with this place is that out of the 3 times I've called to check what their soups are for the day, I get placed on hold and always hang up after 5 minutes. With that said, I have found that their website has all of that info on it, but it took me three attempts and getting frustrated to figure that out. As for their soups, they're friggin good, consistently. I've never had a bad bowl from here out of the handful I've tried, and I love that they don't skimp out and give you a ton of broth. For example, if you order an XL of their Stuffed pepper with Italian sausage soup, you're going to get a REALLY hearty soup and every bite will have peppers and sausage in it. I actually just tried their walnut/blueberry salad and it was excellent as well. So bottom line, although their customer service lacks at times, they offer a really good product and reasonable pricing.
excellent soup, sandwiches and salad. menu is really hard to read. its about ten feet high on the wall written in chalk. cashiers arent helpful when you request for additional info.
This place has a nice selection of soups, salads, and sandwiches. The staff is efficient and friendly. The prices are a bit higher than I expected from a soup and salad place ... but not terrible. Decent place to grab lunch.
First time there. Traveling with college bowling team. Person taking orders could of been more friendly(soup nazi). Girls making the food were awesome!
Great food. Order was messed up but they made it right without charge. I had Buffalo Chicken Salad and Italian wedding soup. My buddy had chicken Caesar salad and it was only four points on weight watchers. That was one of the reasons we went there they had a great selection of food that he could eat without blowing a lot of points on lunch. We will return for that reason
The food has always been good here in my experience. Only 3 stars because they no longer have any weekend hours at this location, and nothing for the evenings during the week.
Friendly staff, & good food but I don't think it's worth what they charge. I know its all hand made but costs too much
$11 for a 32 oz cup of soup that is 1/3 noodles veggies and some chicken, 4/5 broth and 1/5 air. Staff were aggressively polite, while openly bashing the owner of the restaurant, and laughed at me for wanting a paper cup over plastic. I've been here multiple times and it's always been awesome, first negative experience, but it was enough that I'm definitely going to take a break on them.
The food was great, no complaints in that aspect. But I think it's important to note the poor customer service I received from the cashier, who I actually found out is the wife to the owner. When I walked up to the counter her back was turned and she was doing something with eggs while wearing gloves. She abruptly turned around and said "What can I get you?" No formal greeting or eye contact. Please note that she never took off the gloves after her food handling. I responded, "hello! how are you today? I'd like...." She never acknowledged my warm greeting to her. Never looked up from the screen. She only responded, "anything else?", swiftly trying to me to move faster with my order. When I was told my total, I handed her a $20 which was snatched out of my hand and then she abrasively put the change in my hand. She was just nasty and very unpleasant. All while wearing gloves she was handling food with, then touched money and registers. Then went right back to food handling with the same gloves. YUCK!! The wife needs training in customer service and cleanliness for sure. The other two employees were so sweet and helpful! Not one complaint about them whatsoever.
I ordered a hot, chicken bacon, and roasted red pepper sandwich on a croissant, and the only thing hot about that sandwich was the chicken. And hot is a stretch, it was warm, but the bacon was as cold as a fridge same with the other components. Made for a disappointing bite when anticipating a warm sandwich.
Ordered sweet chili chicken ramen noodle bowl for $12 at Henrietta location. Ramen was angel hair pasta. Veggies were cold and raw, probably from the salad bar, tossed into the broth to "cook." Egg was hardboiled and sliced, cold in the middle, also tossed into the hot broth, now lukewarm after the addition of the cold ingredients. Chicken was a good sized portion, but not enough sweet chili sauce to flavor the dish. I have enjoyed other soups at Nathan's that were tasty, but I will never waste $12 (!) on this again!
My wife and I have a couple of sandwiches from here the other day the egg salad was fine. It was a little pricey for what you got for almost $9 compared to a lot of other places. The huge is appointment was the BLT though. Also, just about $9, there was two 4-in pieces of bacon. For $9. That's just shameful. Pass on bye folks. Tim Hortons makes a better sandwich
We ordered the gumbo soup, the squash soup, the egg salad sandwich and 2 scoops of chicken salad on grubhub yesterday. The gumbo soup wasn't bad, could have used a little salt. But my friend did not like the squash soup. Making a face she said it was bland and "just not good". My chicken salad sounded good, with walnuts and grapes. There was only a half a grape. The texture was strange. Like it was shredded and then some chunk chicken thrown in. The walnuts were processed to where you couldn't tell there were many in there. Luckily I got 2 scoops. One would not been enough and who knows if I would have gotten the half grape in the 1st scoop. My friend's egg salad sandwich was bland she suggested adding onions to the egg salad. Probably we are not going to order from Nathan's again.. I used to go there quite a bit when they were on park Avenue. The food was always excellent. This was disappointing.
I found the couple of soups I tried sub-par. I paid $12 for the Thai Ramen Noodle with chicken and the noodles themselves were terrible. Can’t say the soup was good either. There are some good things about this place, like the bread is good. The staff are kind. I have not tried much of the other items on the menu, however I think they can make their soup selection and soup recipes far better than what they are. I hope they do.
Nathan's has a great history for good food. Sorry to say their offerings have been limited. No longer offer a 1/2 soup and Sandwich. Soup Natzie. Also no toaster on site, really. Tuna and egg Sandwich ordered had more tuna & egg on outside of Sandwich then in the middle. What's up. Being told told no we don't do certain yjings anymore which are considered standards of a sandwich shop.
i only write reviews when i am blown away, i ordered a NEW ORLEANS crab chowder described to have sweet peppers and savory flavors with crab meat and what not, this ish Has zero color completely white NO CRAB no peppers no flavor at all literally made me gag cus it was like swallowing uk what, even new England clam chowder got more seasoning then that.
I've been a longtime customer since park Ave in the 90's and I was thrilled when you came to Henrietta. The service is good but the food has gone down hill. Last 2 times I've ordered first one was refunded due to soup being watery, so I waited about 30 days made a purchase today and the egg salad had shells in both the sandwiches we ordered. Is it new owners- management? Very disappointing after years of great food.
I ordered online through their website after it said they opened at 10am. Scheduled pickup for 10:15.. drove all the way there from the city only to find out they dont open till 11. I came back at 11:20 and was "greeted" by the most unemotional people on earth without so much as a thank you or have a nice day. I ordered because I had seen a buffalo chicken soup listed and was dying to try it, well I was very disappointed. It doesnt even taste like buffalo sauce, it's literally just cheese. There were so many undercooked crunchy onions in the soup it should be called chicken onion cheese soup. Lived here my whole life, first time and last time I'll be dining here. 😭
I recently went to Nathan's Soup and Salad on a cold December day looking forward to one of their new ramen bowls. Unfortunately I was severely disappointed. The Korean BBQ bowl was composed of unseasoned boiled chicken with a splash of BBQ sauce, overcooked angel hair pasta pretending to be ramen noodles, and fresh veggies and a boiled egg from the salad bar that were thrown into the warm broth to cook. The chicken bone broth had very good flavor, but the rest of the dish lacked flavors that blended together as a ramen bowl should. I finished the chicken, but couldn't bring myself to eat most of the "ramen noodles." Fortunately, I also ordered a small Louisiana crab soup, which was good. The soup was hearty with large chunks of potato, but the crab was crab stick. This would be a 1-star review if it were not for the soup. I wish I had just ordered a larger soup with some bread instead of ordering a ramen bowl. I definitely do not recommend their ramen bowls, but their homemade soups and sandwiches may be worth a second chance based on reviews from others.
Got the Broccoli and cheese at 1 ish. Soup was cold, had some much Broccoli that there was hardly any soup. Seems like the quality has gone downhill. Very disappointing!
overpriced. poor quality. nothing more than basic soup and sandwich for $34. skip this place.
Nathan’s only sent half the order, nothing was warm as instructed and they chose to mix egg salad with tuna when that is very much NOT what we ordered. They were extremely rude when we called to report this issue stating “well it gets busy sometimes”. Busy or not the wild inaccuracy of this order is inexcusable.
So bad. Some of the blandest food I've ever tasted. I think their "Ramen" is Angel Hair pasta. No flavor. Good for people who think pepper is spicy and have a sensitive palate. I know some people prefer that though so I'm glad this is there for them. If you like a little spice in your life go around the corner to Sodam.
My family and I really enjoyed the soups from here but, I was extremely disappointed with the customer service from the young gentleman at the register and serving the soup. I have never felt so humiliated before. He spoke to me like I was a child and was bothered by me asking anything about their menu. I just hope he changes his attitude and doesn't treat anyone else this terribly. Thank you for your time.
Wrong sandwich, wrong soup. Replacement sandwich was also wrong.
I ordered via DoorDash and didn’t even get my sandwich; the employee I spoke with on the phone didn’t give me a specific resolution and upon opening my side salad it was soggy and the avocado was BLACK. Needless to say I will not be ordering from here ever again. Terrible.
Turkey sandwich. Three thin slices of turkey, one slice of cheese on mini loaf of bread, Mayo. $8.75. REALLY. So disappointed.
I had always been impressed in the past w Nathan’s soups... in ordering off GrubHub was highly disappointed that the driver wasted almost all my lunch because he couldn’t figure out the location to where I work. The address was clear on the building. The soup was cold when I got it and the tip the driver got was undeserved. Waste of $$
Terrible service!!! Only one person to take orders AND place them. She was highly unprofessional and rude. Kept taking orders on phone rather than requesting they hold, call back or seeking help from people in back. Items are far more higher then advertised on line. Totally different from the PARK Avenue location I frequently patronized for years. They would greet and acknowledge you as soon as you walk in. Plus have you in and out while properly staffed. I arrived after 2pm and they were NOT BUSY with only one customer ahead of me inside. I WAITED 10 minutes for her to finally fulfill my order as she insisted on continuing to ANSWER phone and waiting on several other customers who arrived AFTER ME. They take your order, you pay then wait while other Customers behind you are waited on. So cashing you out before your order is PROCESSED & FORCING YOU to WAIT is not a good business practice. They also have much higher PRICES compared to previous Park Avenue location. Definately NOT WORTH the time or money!! I refuse to patronize THIS location again + shared my experience with many others as a heads up.
Just visit Nathan's Soup&Salad 3 /20/24 @2:30 pm.walked in two employees behind the counter. No Hello I will be right with you. There is only one customer both Employees so Mesmerized in conversating with him they paid me no attention after 5 minutes I just walk out.Few minutes later I call to make a complaint asked to speak with the Supervisor was then put on hold for 5 minutes in which I hung up.I know it was no reason for me to be put on hold that long when there was no customer in line but the gentleman that both employees seem so Mesmerized with that they paid me no attention. This isn't the Nathan's that we all visit on a regular basis for lunch. When they were on Park Ave.The customer service is horrible and I took my business elsewhere. I definitely won't be going back my advise to the Owner train your Employees to always Greet customers upon Arrival. Denise
Disappointed. I asked for a combination of chicken noodle and tomato basil soup. This is not complicated. I received tomato and Italian Wedding.
I've enjoyed many soups at the Pluta Cancer Center, but at a recent trip to the Park Ave shop, I selected the beef stew for take out. It was mostly big chunks of potato in gluey mixture, and not beef or flavor. Very disappointing and tossed it. Chicken noodle soup was nice, however, albeit a little light on the noodles.
Went in today for the first time and it was the worst experience ever. The older lady at the register was so miserable that I didn’t even want to stay and eat there any more which is so upsetting because I was excited. I have never had such a rude encounter with someone. You would think she would have helped with it being my first time there. I don’t recommend.
I’ve eaten here all four years I’ve been at RIT and I love their food. The buffalo chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese is my go to comfort food on campus, though all their stuff is delicious. However at RIT there is one person that works there that ruins everyone’s day. I’ve known some people that avoid going there because they don’t want to deal with him, me included. Just last week, I had the worst experience and because of his behavior I’ve decided to stop going. This person ruined my day and I ended up in tears over something so simple. Last week, I ordered my typical meal of a buffalo chicken sandwich with a side of mac and cheese and when I sat down to eat I noticed that the sandwich order was wrong and that it had marinara sauce instead of buffalo sauce. It wasn’t a big deal, so I walked back to Nathan’s and explained what was wrong and asked if they wouldn’t mind making my sandwich with buffalo sauce. When I got my order back it looked to be the same sandwich with the sauce just scraped off of it, still no buffalo sauce. At this point the employee was already really angry at me, so I decided to just get back in line and order another sandwich. Once he noticed I was in line again, he called me out in front of everyone and started yelling at me trying to gaslight me that it was the correct sandwich. Keep in mind, I have been eating this same sandwich order at least once a week for the last four years and knew that it was not the right order. After that I just walked away because I couldn’t deal with the yelling and gaslighting, found my friend, and broke down in tears on their shoulder. I freaked my friend out as I don’t cry often and they sympathized with me because everyone at this point has had a bad experience with that employee specifically. Other employees are really nice if you mention something is wrong with your order and will fix it for you as this is not an uncommon occurrence. Later in the day, I was recounting the story to a different friend in the vaguest details with only the sandwich order being wrong and the employee trying to gaslight me about the order. My friend’s response was “oh, angry Nathan’s guy”; he correctly could figure out which dining hall and employee I went to based on a vague story I told him. My friend also comforted me with the words “Don’t worry, he is always like that. You can tell he really hates his job. He ruins everyone’s day.” Because of this experience and the fact that this employee is always the one taking orders at Nathan’s, I refuse to further interact with him, and will no longer be coming to this restaurant as long as he works here.
Today, my boss bought us lunch and I was pretty happy to be trying a new place. I had ordered the Buffalo chicken sandwich with Italian Wedding soup. I have heard good reviews and good opinions so I thought the food was going to be good. When I received my order it was literally just chicken breast on a roll with no Buffalo chicken at all and an excessive amount of blue cheese. I had to add my own sauce to it to make it bearable to eat and to make the chicken not so dried out. The soup was mildly okay and fairly okay to eat but I wouldn’t order it again, I’m not writing this to deter anyone from eating here I’m just making it known so hopefully the company can make improvements. Thank you and I will most likely give this place another try because everyone deserves 2nd chances to improve.
Tried this place for the first time today. My boss ordered online. I showed up 20 minutes later. I then stood there and waited for 30 minutes. Soup was pretty good. Sandwich was not. The chicken just sits in a pool of liquid until they slap it on the bread. They gave me a cup of cheese on the side, not melted on the sandwich. First and last visit for me
Ordered, received through doordash. This is the cheese and broccoli, Nathan better get a new signature soup. It is cold, it was bland and for six bucks I didn't even receive a cracker! The textures also terrible kind of meally and the cheese sauce is broken like a bad sauce will do if not cooked properly.
