I love this restaurant is the best place for aet
One of my favorite places.
It was great food and the service was very friendly and very fast. Just much better quality than at one of the large chains and franchises. All around a great experience and I can't wait to go back
Literally just left and it was the BEST breakfast I've ever had. I had to not eat some of my homefries just to take them home and enjoy later! Meat hotsauce was amazing. Bacon crispy. Eggs scrambled perfectly. Seating outside was surprisingly nice. Billy and our server were amazing. Even accommodated my sisters order of a Turkey burger! Thank you for making our Sunday family breakfast great. Even my fiancé who is 17 weeks pregnant finished her entire order of French toast. Now that just goes to show how good this restaurant is. Do yourself and anyone you're with a favor and EAT HERE!
First, the waitress and bus person were incredible, anything I needed was taken care of quickly and with a genuine smile. I had the Big Al's prime rib sandwich it came with soup and french fries,.I chose the New England clam chowder, it was very good as was the sandwich and fries
We found this restaurant online and after reading the reviews, decided to try it out. It's truly refreshing to have a diner that features actual homemade items! So many we have visited do not and it's always a disappointment. Especially the "Greek" restaurants which have one Greek dish on their menu, and is not done well - even when the restaurant is owned by people from Greece (country not town). :) Back to the food. Their Chicken and Rice soup is homemade and really delicious! My husband and I ordered the Greek plate for 2 and there was enough food on it for 3 or 4 people! Everything was REALLY good. The meat was very tender and everything down to the Spanakopita was homemade. They have a very large menu with lots to choose from. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was homey. I highly recommend this restaurant & can't wait to go back!
I have been going to the Olympia for years! The food is always excellent but the bathrooms are always SOO clean- clean bathrooms to me means clean kitchen! Love it here!
Love the Corn Beef & Cabbage on Thursdays. The best ever & enough for 2 in portion. The Irish soup that can be had with it, is sensational. No other like it. Have bought qts. To bring home & froze. Can't wait to have again. Had last night. Never a surprise!
Excellent Greek diner with friendly service and everything you would want on a breakfast menu, but also some elevated options such as banana bread french toast, Nutella waffles. I was there on Sunday morning with a party of 4, which is the busiest time to go to a diner and yet they still got us in. Good prices too, I had eggs, home fries, coffee, biscuits and sausage gravy I think it was maybe 10$? Everyone in my party enjoyed themselves, I will definitely be back.
Delicious food, friendly staff, local establishment. Great alternative to those chain restaurants!
I absolutely love this restaurant! Absolutely amazing food and service. They've been around for quite sometime for a reason! I would totally recommend this restaurant to anyone. They are especially fantastic for breakfast and their sausage gravy is some of the best I've ever had. Totally wish they had another location near where I live now.
Prices are always Fair. The quality of the food is always high. You never have to wait long for anything either at the beginning of the meal or at the end. One gets just the right amount of attention and it's very pleasurable from start to finish. It's one of the very few very good regular restaurants in the Northwest side of town.
While observing all precautions during this time. We had an awesome breakfast, they had a special that day. A chili/cheese omelette. Had to try and was totally worth the exploration. My friend also had a marvelous breakfast. Waitress and hostess were very pleasant and professional. Thank you for all you do!
A greece town favorite. Classic and unique breakfast and lunch menu. Very nicely priced for meal size and portions. If you come here, live local, you will always find someone to say hello to. Ownership and staff are very welcoming and friendly. Put this place for sure on your morning meal visit !!!
I have never had a bad meal here. The staff and owner are so delightful and friendly. The prices are low and the food quality is high. They have wonderful homemade desserts too, you must save room.
Always on point. Love the breakfast and there chicken kabobs! Soup is also very good. Consistently good food and fair prices. We eat here a lot and are never disappointed.
Arrived at lunchtime; food was authentic Greek cuisine. Service was great, server was very attentive to our needs (party of four). Allowed time to chat with friends without being hurried. Excellent overall experience.
Like a warm bowl of soup on a winter day. Great food and service from a place that looks like it’s been around for years! Enjoy.
I come at least twice a week and it's always great. Wide selection of food from salads to wraps. The 4 cheese beef lover is a must have. Friendly staff who remember you and your likes. Best part, it's right up the street
We have found a new favorite place to eat out. Portions are plentiful. Food is delicious and wait staff so friendly.
You are always greeted with a smile, sat immediately with your beverage. Good for any meal. Nice for a family or just group of friends. Awesome pea soup
Foods always great cooks do a wonderful job. Pretty speedy even when is packed. Servers are veey nice. I go all the time. My only complaint is the greek french toast should be gyro meat with feta cheese
Nice family restaurant, friendly staff, very good service and good food.
This was the best diner I have been to I think in my life. The chicken parm sub was hand breaded and was crispy even AFTER it was in the fridge. The bread was toasted and the sauce and the cheese were incredible. Everyone there was so sweet and the overall atmosphere was incredible. GREAT DINER 200/10 !!!!!!!
One of the best garbage plates in Rochester, and awesome food all around.
Top notch service. Our waitress was full of energy and loves what she does. Super friendly. Classic but also creative menu options for breakfast. You'll walk out with a smile on your face every time.
We went for breakfast. My husband and I ordered 2 scrambled eggs, 2 pancakes and bacon with homefries. We split one meal, and still had some left over. Very good, will be going back. Our server was fantastic and the restaurant was very clean.
Always excellent food and service. Wife and I just had two of the best fish fries in our lives. Haddock was so fresh and flaky, beer batter was golden and perfect. Excellent slaw and Mac salad and the fries are not the battered type that everyone else uses, which to me is a huge positive. I don’t like those battered fries. I always get a side of meat hot sauce to dip my fries in and theirs is great.
Our favorite family restaurant in the area 😊
This is such an amazing place to go. For a warm meal to make you feel warm and cozy, a good cup of coffee, comic relief, an ear to listen, or if you just want to feel like you’re coming home for the day. These women that I met tonight that work here are incredible. The wonderful woman at the register you are one of the warmest kindest souls I have ever met and I can’t wait to come back and visit with you. Our waitress who is literally someone that missed her calling doing anything w comedy whether it be stand up or sitcom, hilarious! and sitting there with her pal who was just as nice and polite and funny. It’s amazing here, the prices are incredible, the food is amazing, and the company is endearing. Highly recommended.
This place is a hop, skip and jump from our house and it's the first time we have been there. Both of our breakfasts were very good. The hostess and our waitress were friendly. The overall atmosphere was calm and welcoming. It was also very clean.
My meal was delicious! I had the Granny's breakfast and the biscuit with sausage gravy was outstanding. I like my home fries well done; this is the only place I found that actually does it. Everything is served quick and delicious every time.
Staff is always kind and courteous. Food is pretty damn good.
Very clean, true Greek Dining! Reasonable prices, excellent Fish Fry on Fridays, not to disappointment breakfast menu and large potions. Fried Chicken in a basket special was a lot of food and awesome! These Owners definitely care about their customers.
Olympia has been a long time favorite of many of my friends and family. This restaurant has a very classic home town feel. Food was hot and delicious. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. We had a party of 6 we called ahead and got a table as soon as we got there!
Great local diner. Service was wonderful and food came out so quickly we thought they were bringing it to the wrong table. Would definitely recommend for a nice home cooked meal
Food is delicious, staff is very friendly and the owner goes out of his way to make you feel right at home and provides a relaxing atmosphere!!! NEVER had a negative experience, ALWAYS amazing! Favorite breakfast place in Rochester!!!
Standard Family diner food and atmosphere. I thought they did a particularly good job with the flavored panacakes for the kids. I did end up getting my breakfast after they were done eating because my omelet was made wrong but, the waitress caught it in the kitchen so it was fixed about as fast as it could have been. Oh and they do the shredded hasbrowns, always a pluss with me.
This diner is the definition of the best parts of Rochester. This diner feels like a second home and they will treat you like it. Friendly, attentive and they truly care about your time there. The breakfast is always amazing, and the owner even takes his time to ask how you are doing. This is a must stop if you are nearby. I am here atleast once every 2 weeks!
Food came out hot and fresh. So good!
Fast, courteous, hot food, And Alot of it!! I believe that is homemade breakfast sausage.. delicious 😋
Love this dinner. They when above and beyond to accommodate my wedding party of 12 within a few days notice. Made a list of specials for us. Service was impeccable. We always have a wonderful experience at Olympia on Flynn Road. Everything is wonderful that I’ve had on the menu throughout the years of coming here. Highly recommend.
We frequent here a lot! Always consistent with the food they offer. Large menu. Home cooked turkey diners and way more! Breakfast is another fav they have great home fries from real potatoes. Staff is super friendly. We have been going there at least 3x a month for a few years. Family owned and operated. Highly recommend you stop in and try it out.
I'm OBSESSED with this diner. They have the most amazing soups and chicken parm, as well BOMB 💣 breakfast.
Although the waitress wasn't overly friendly, she was absolutely efficient. Our food order was taken quickly. Our food was hot and fresh. She brought boxes when she brought the check knowing that we needed them without us. Even having to ask. Everything was phenomenal and we will absolutely go back!
Great breakfast! We had 11 people in our group, all the food came out at the same time and presented well. Our server Liz was on top of everything!! Thank you!
Always can count on quality, well prepared meals.
Breakfast was awesome even had my brother in law leftovers the following day
Their turkey dinner was delicious! It was a birthday celebration & 3 of us ordered the turkey dinner. One of the girls ordered the fried chicken & said it was very good! Service was good & the price was very reasonable! I will definitely be back!!! Th
We came in on a day where we'd been having a bad week and just needed a comforting meal. It was like having dinner at grandma's house. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming and the food really hit the spot. We both got the beer battered haddock and it was fantastic. It was crispy without the fish being dry. I don't think ever had such tender fish. My almost 3 year old had the kids spaghetti and meatball and he said it was a really tasty meatball and this is coming from a kid who doesn't typically like meat. Definitely want to come back and try other menu items!
Best restaurant experience my husband and I ever had. My husband spent the whole ride home talking about how amazing everything was. He is the most pickiest eat I know and he has not stop talking about it. Very calm and welcoming. The servers there are friendly and so on point with the service. Recommend this place to everyone.
AMAZING! This the word I can use to describe our experience at this restaurant. We were told about it by our Pastor, and wow was he right. We had a WONDERFUL server- Ms. Chris who was just knowledgeable and attentive to our needs and questions. Thank you Ms. Chris The gentleman(whom I think is the owner) at the front when we walked in was very nice and inviting. He made sure we were seated in a timely manner, and he was in the business of taking care of the customer. In addition, he check on us at our table more than once during our time. He did this throughout the entire restaurant. I really appreciated the time he took to see how we were doing (for that alone I would come back.) The food was just DELICIOUS. I had the egg white omelet, hash brown, wheat toast and a peanut butter pancake. It was all SO GOOD. My husband and daughter enjoyed their food as well. This was a friendly neighborhood restaurant, and it was packed....the people just kept coming. I can see why..... the FOOD & SERVICE. We will certainly be back with our son, and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND YOU GIVE THEM A TRY.😁
Best of the best baby this spot never let's you down! Especially best table service in the world and coffee is delicious
We just moved to the area last week from CA. We were just driving around the new neighborhood, so glad we stumbled across this place. We didn't realize they closed at 8 they were so accommodating, so friendly and full of advice of where to go and what to do in the neighborhood.
We've been here twice so far and the food and the service was absolutely stellar! This will definitely be our goto eatery and highly recommend!
Great place to eat. The food and the service is wonderful. Always 5 stars! Love their Irish Soup you must try it.
Terrific menu. Excellent service. Super clean. Everything was fresh, not "old food". I feel really at home at this Olympia.
Genuinely authentic diner experience that this former downstate girl missed. The staff are so sweet and everyone is incredibly hardworking to ensure a wonderful dining experience. It is no wonder they've been around since 1978!
This was my first time here. A casual atmosphere with very good tasting food. I had eggs Benedict, they were not over-salted and were quite tasty. Home fries were cooked well. Waited was friendly and patient. Will definitely return.
I've loved this place for so long. The people are super nice, and the food is the best! And if you haven't tried one.....they make the very best "Cheese Lovers Omelet" ever!!!!
First time eating here and it was exactly what i was looking for .comfortable environment with good what seems to be homecooked comfort type food . Good portions that were very good. Service was good friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back . Prices weren’t to bad seem average for the food . Id recommend going here to eat , i know ill be back
This is a good diner. The service is very friendly and the diner is clean. They have the ability to really get through a line when it’s busy as well. I chose the NY Strip Steak and eggs. The home fries were cooked through and good and unlike some places I felt the Steak was actually 12oz not just in name. You can see how large it is on my plate. My wife got the eggs Benedict and enjoyed it as well. Diners are diners but this is a good one.
Olympia restaurant is located at Latta rd in Greece ny, great location with a few businesses strip mall. Very clean parking lot 👌. As I entered the building I was greeted buy one of the employees who seated us. As soon as we sat down we were asked what drinks we wanted. When the drinks were served the food was ordered. The food was served hot and fresh. Great job to the chefs and other people who make it perfect for us. The food was very large portion enough to take some home for my baby (dog). Very delicious food 😋 YUMMY 😋 Thanks again. Gerry
Great little old style family-run restaurant. Food is always top-notch. Prices are very reasonable. Place is usually very busy around the clock. I say that as a matter of judging quality by the way people rate a place by voting with their feet. I have never had a bad meal breakfast lunch or dinner in this restaurant.
Fish was watery, not flaky and dry. But it was very thick piece of Haddock. Mashed good carrots can gross. Very good service, friendly.
Good breakfast. Fast, polite service. Will definitely go back and would encourage you to try them for breakfast. We got there at 9 . Left around 9:40-9:50. People were outside waiting for seats. Get there early!
Definitely recommend. I almost never give a restaurant 5 stars so don't let my four stars stop you! It came to my attention on our last visit (the one I'm reviewing now) that I hadn't given Olympia a review in over 6 years so...are they still making it happen all this time later? The short answer is... Yes! This is still a great breakfast restaurant. The staff is spot on with your order, friendly, and quick. They know how to turn tables, while still providing excellent service and quality of food. If you go by and see a big line outside the front don't let that discourage you. One the line will move quickly, and two the food is worth the wait. On this most recent visit I ordered eggs over easy, sourdough toast, home fries and sausage patties. All were cooked perfectly the toast is always my pet peeve ( I don't know, nor do I wish to know, anyone who likes black burnt marks on their toast) it should be golden and toasty while still maintaining its heavenly "breadlyness". Well thankfully the cooks at Olympia know this and nailed the toast. The pancakes were split between my girlfriend and I as these are some hardy fellas and it takes two to tango if you want to kill a stack along with a regular breakfast. Bring your appetite, because you won't leave hungry for sure. My girlfriend ordered their country biscuits and gravy which was enough to feed a person her size for three days...she actually had leftovers for three days. The biscuits were moist and fresh and the gravy (albeit from a can) was still a good buy in brand and worked well with the rest of the meal. The scrambled eggs were yellow and fluffy as they should be. Coffee is excellent, I highly recommend grabbing a cup even if you aren't a coffee aficionado. IF you want a great breakfast, with great service, and great prices, this is the place to go. Opa!
Wonderful food & atmosphere, looking at possible St. Patty's day dinner☘️St. Patty's corned beef was delish as always; it's a standard on the Thursday menu. Last night I ordered the hot meatloaf sandwich - BAD choice!! It almost made me vomit 🤢. Lovely waitress suggested replacing it with the hot turkey sandwich - much better 😀 I would definitely NOT order the meatloaf.
Good family restaurant and food. You always have good choices and a good amount of food when you order something from the restaurant. Their salads are really good. They're fish fries are really good on Fridays. They have changed their hours so they're only open until 2:00 in the afternoon on Saturdays and Sundays now. Monday through Friday. It's 8:00 in the morning till 8:00 at night
Nice! All food fresh & hot with servers constantly offering coffee top-ups. Good casual place to meet up with a friend.
After eating a somewhat mediocre dinner my dinner companion and I said to each other...we don't have to run right back here in the near future. We then realized we've said the same thing upon previous visits. Our french dip and chicken wrap were "just ok" and the French fries could have used another minute in the fryer. Our waitress (didn't get her name) was very good and friendly. She helped make the visit.
Usually an excellent experience for family breakfast, however, this time in particular, it seemed like they may have been understaffed. Did was excellent, per the usual, but several requests for waters and hot sauce went unfulfilled. Like I said, usually the experience is excellent.
The food is always great and the service is usually very good. However, online it says the diner is open until 9pm. The last 2 times we have gone to eat, there is a handwritten sign on the door stating an 8pm closing time. Both times we arrived after 7pm. We dine late due to busy kids and work schedules. It's just the nature of the beast. The first time we arrived within 45 minutes of closing time, the owner was very happy and accommodating. I'm assuming she was happy to have the business. I saw a waitress turn away and shake her head, due to our arrival time and proximity to closing time. She ended up being our server...Awkward! We stayed and ate even though feeling uneasy due to the reaction from the staff. That was approximately a month ago. It happened again tonight for the second time. Arrived at 7:30 when online hours said 9pm closing. Again, the owner was very accommodating and wanted the business. This time, the waitress from before turned away, vigorously shook her head and proceeded to tell a customer at the end of the counter "always at closing time". She repeated it a second time because the woman at the counter could not hear her...but I did. I was furious! I told the family "let's go, we are not staying". Chili's got our 65 dollars instead! This could have easily been avoided if the hours online matched the real hours. How hard is it to make sure the online hours represent your actual hours? That is no way to do business Covid or no Covid. Pick hours, list them online and STICK to said hours! Beware if you go within an hour of non matching closing time hours. Be prepared for some attitude from the staff. Not the owner, but the staff! I noticed that the online hours now have a disclaimer stating "hours may vary". How convenient!
Used to be a great family restaurant. The food is good. The service has gotten worse over time. A light breakfast for 2 came out to 20$. Waiter was ok but didn't refill drinks that came out to 5$ for 2. Too bad. Used to be a whole lot better here. The food is still good but the price wasn't good for what we got.
Me and my family patronize this restaurant on a regular basis and the service is usually pleasant but today was an exception. The waitress was horrible she ignored us to the point that we had to go get our own to go plates. She through the check down on the counter at my sister so needless to say I will never return to this restaurant again.
The Chicken noodles soup was terrible..My partner had the special goulash. He was feeling sick for the next 24 hours. And very expensive.
Food was decent, but waitress was not. Thought I was overcharged on a meal, and asked her to confirm the amount was correct. Rather than check the menu, she stood by the price charged. Got home and checked the online menu; sure enough I was overcharged. The mistake was not a problem, but the failure to correct it was. Other diners around that provide similar food at better prices with better service. Won't be back
For a family restaurant it isn’t very family friendly. They have one high chair, and the booths are too tiny to sit a child on your lap. There’s also no changing table so if you have to change a diaper, you have to do it on the little sink. Not too impressed.
The coffee was very weak, and the hash browns were greasy and unappetizing. The English muffin and pancakes were decent, but as first-timers here, I wasn't impressed.
Went here with my wife for breakfast. Waitress seemed absolutely miserable and seemed like she didn't want to be there. Took her a while just to come to our table to greet us. By the time she came, we had already decided our food orders so we ordered our drinks and food at the same time. Food was ok. Home fries weren't seasoned but my breakfast sandwich was decent enough. But definitely nothing special. Waitress didn't even check on us to see how we were doing. Only time she came by was to bring the check. Asked for a box, she says "OK" and walks away. We don't see her again. Had to ask another waitress for a box. Overall, not a pleasant experience. Won't be back. There's much better local breakfast diners in the area with friendlier staff and better food.
I hope I only caught them on a bad day but I would never recommend the Olympia family restaurant. The service was good but not the food. My omelette tasted so bad I couldn’t eat it, home fries had no flavor and the sausage links looked good but were very oily. I had eaten there several years ago and thought it was great so I don’t know if they were just having a bad day with the cook or not but I can’t recommend it.
We went there last night for a fish fry, it was literally the worst fish fry I have ever had. The steak fries were cold, oily and soggy. The fish tasted like a cheap knockoff and the bear batter was soggy and full of oil. The salad even came out with brown pieces of lettuce and old tomatoes. My daughter ordered breakfast and got cold nasty bacon, her eggs tasted weird and her toast was stale. I told the woman as I was paying my bill, which I paid in full, that the food was terrible and she should speak with the cooks, she didn't seem to care much as she was taking that money. I paid and left, for almost $50 for a family of 4 to eat, I will never be back. There is a primary elderly customer base and I feel sorry for people to be served such garbage food, Olympia use to be a good restaurant, now it's just cheap products with high prices and they obviously don't care about what they are serving people. Beware, save your money, there are better restaurants out there that actually serve quality food for affordable prices, they should be ashamed in there selves, it wasn't even busy, so I can only imagine what you get when they are in the middle of a dinner rush. Very disappointing!
The restaurant is nice but even after being very up front with the waiter about my fish allergy they still neglected to tell me that all their fryers fry fish and did not handle my food with allergen care. I ended up almost deathly ill the entire rest of the day and night due to negligence and lack of care. Food was good but not worth dying for, literally!
I bought 2 BLT's in there. No french fries , no chips or anything.. A glass of coke and a cup of coffee.. And I was charged thirty seven dollars.. They also charge three dollars for 2 go items.. I have been cooking my whole life.. I have never paid that kind of money.Or have I ever worked in a restaurant where they charged that kind of Money.. I have. Money But that was Ridiculous.. I will never go back In there..
Decided to randomly stop here for lunch after looking for a diner to go to the reviews seems good so I tried it. Let me tell you the vibe is completely strange this diner felt like there should have been a “whites Only” sign in the window. My son said he felt starred at the entire time. As for the food “Disgusting” I ordered Egg Salad sandwich it had no seasoning or flavor I could even finish it because it tasted so bad. My son didn’t like his pancake either. Unfortunately this diner will not be one we return to and we love trying new diners in the area.
Mothers day. Had the worst breakfast meal ever. The food was better when they had a sign on the door saying Cook Needed. Now they have a cook and it was terrible. $47.00 + down the drain for 2 auldts and 1 child. Watched several other customers leave over half their food uneaten. Our families last visit here.
Waitress was absolutely miserable. Never checked on how our food was. Didn't ask how everything was afterwards. Took a while to bring the check. Forgot to bring a to go box, even after we kept sitting there. We paid up at the front counter. My husband paid with a credit card. The hostess actually had to ask us if we were putting a tip on the card. She also had to ask us how much we were putting so she could manually put it in. Instead of my husband, putting it in on the keypad, or printing a receipt where you write the amount. We thought that was rather awkward. The home fries were rather mushy and didn’t have a lot of flavor to them.
The food and service were good. My son and I ordered from the menu, the price was $10.99 for each of us. When I received the bill it said $11.99 each. I asked the waitress why the difference in price? She stated that it was an upcharge for the price of eggs. I asked why I wasn't informed about this when I ordered? She showed me a little statement at the end of the menu stating that they were able to charge more at their discretion. I told her that I should have been informed at the time of my ordering. I then asked the same of the owner, he replied in kind. This is a dollar upcharge for 2 eggs, $6 dollars a dozen! That they don't feel it necessary to inform you of until you have finished your meal! I personally will not go back to Olympia Family Restaurant, because no matter how little it is I hate to be deceived!
I haven't visited this restaurant ever since they were found to have health code violations. A group of friends insisted that on having breakfast here today so I obliged. The item I ordered came with with homes fries which I wanted replaced with bacon. Both the fries and bacon are $4 items, but they would not do the replacement without the extra full charge. Poor policies. I will not be coming here again! Too many other great businesses in the area.
Short gray haired cashier woman is extremely arrogant and rude. Don't tell her something is wrong with your meal ... she'll confront you when you cash out in front of other paying customers that nothing was wrong with that sandwich! Also, because you worry about every penny don't ask patrons that pay with credit cards if they're leaving a tip!
We got seated at the counter before three customers who came in about 15 minutes after us. They were busy. But we were sitting right in front of the waitress and she helped the other customers first. They were regulars!!!! We got up and left and not a single employee asked why.
So excited to visit this on our yearly Rochester by family trip. Waitress not friendly, potatoes old/cold. Hard roll was smushed thin. Nicest girl was the busgirl! Will continue our Bills Diner on Long Pond tradition.
