The food was amazing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had not been there before so when we sat down the manager came and spoke with us. I wish I could remember her name.
The food was delicious. My friends and I took a five hour drive from San Antonio just to try the food after seeing the reviews on TikTok. I hope that you guys consider opening a location here.
I joined a couple of friends here who frequent Chiloso regularly - this was my first time. I loved the relaxed, vibrant atmosphere that put me at ease as I processed my many options. The employees were very friendly and helped explain two options I couldn't choose between (it really all looked delicious). One of my friends needed a vegetarian option, and they had plenty to offer. The food was fresh and very tasty, and it was quite plentiful for the price. I would gladly return with good company!
The place is hopping. Food is great! Had the burrito! Service was quality with a smile! Ranch sauce was on point and the queso had some kick! What else can a guy ask for?
I absolutely love Chiloso’s. We’ve been eating regularly there since the original one in Rockwall opened. It’s one of my favorite places because I can get all the those Mexican food ingredients i love so much in any combo I want - wrapped, folded, stacked or in soup. OMG the chicken tortilla soup!!! Hands down the best - it’s broth based and you add whatever else you want in it so load it up with your favorites. On the other hand the grilled avocado is one of those dishes you can’t stop eating even when your stomach is screaming to stop. Two 1/2 avocados, grilled and topped with your favorite meat (mine is fajita steak) along with a queso drizzle with a side of beans and rice.
Any Chiloso I have visited has been a good experience. Their tortilla soup is delicious. What made this place different was someone came to the table to check on me. I don't know if that's the norm at Chiloso, but this is the first time for me at a place that isn't ypur typical sit down restaurant.
1st time going today and wow, why have I not been before? So they have build your own burrito kinda like Chipotle or Freebirds BUT it was breakfast!!! So so yummy you pick from items like, eggs, 3 kinds of beans, sausage, bacon, chorizo, plus all the toppings to choose from. So can make a GREAT breakfast to fit you, mine was $10.50, the husband got few extras and spent about $15. It was not crowed at 9a but it was steady stream of customers and the coffee and fountain drinks are on them for breakfast 😀 can't beat that. I loved the queso too one of the better ones I've had. Definitely will go again!!
Came here for lunch with a coworker and the experience we had was very good. Upon entering, we were directed to the front counter to build whatever meal we wanted. The options included nachos, tacos, salads, etc. The workers were fast and efficient. I ordered the Nachos and loaded it up with my favorite toppings. Whenever I asked if extra, it was given. The food was delicious and salsas tasty! I would definitely come here again to try out the tacos and other options.
A busy spot to try and visit during the lunch rish hour, Chiloso is a good spot to dine in at or take on the go. I ended up ordering a bowl to go and was very satisfied with my selection. The ingredients tasted fresh, and the service was quick given the line that had formed. Great spot to eat at. Just plan for a wait if you try and arrive during the lunch rush hour.
Long lines, must be good, right? The breakfast tacos were good. Made to order as you go through the line. I hate cold potatoes but these guys mash them up a bit and serve them hot. Get as much salsa and or pico as you want and lastly, food comes with a little bag of tortilla chips. So would I go back? Yes I would. Enjoy!
We came around 7:30am on Saturday but it was quite crowded. We got 2 orders of 3-pack breakfast tacos for 3 of us since we didn’t want to have heavy breakfast. The staff is very friendly and nice. She tried very hard to make our orders. Five stars for the service. However, tacos just tasted ok. Not so impressed.
Great place to eat. Wish they had a separate counter for pickup orders so you don’t have to stand in line for 20 minutes, though.
I love Chiloso!! The ONLY reason for the review I’m providing is because I sat down to wait on my food, looked up and there was a dog in the restaurant with a family that was dining in at the next table. I was so disgusted and disappointed because whyyyyy is this animal in here with my damn food 😒
Food is amazing, very clean. But the short older lady is rude. I ask for extra toppings(i even say I’ll pay extra) and she does a lousy half scoop every time. I've been really nice to her saying please and thank you but I'm not sure what her problem is.
Was charged $12 for a side of chicken. I feel like the employees are not trained on what a side of chicken should look like and be priced at. It’s different every time I come here. Once was charged $3 for the same “side of chicken.” When asked cashier about prices she said “we already charged you, can’t take it back now.” The owner is so sweet and kind I know this isn’t intentional. Was here February 13th.
This restaurant was highly recommended so I was very excited to try it. Sadly, I was underwhelmed. I had their Rojo Chicken Flautas plate. The plate is supposed to come with 3 flautas, your choice of rice, & your choice of beans. I DID NOT get beans, only rice. I didn't realize it was supposed to have beans until after I left the restaurant and revisited their website. The flautas come with 3 dips, queso, guacamole, & avocado cream and they were all very delicious. The flautas were cheesy but lacked flavor. The rice didn't taste like much either. My husband ordered tacos with steak. They did not have much flavor. He said the texture of the steak seemed like it had been grilled and then steamed. He also ordered a quesadilla and they asked him if he wanted the kid size and he said yes. Instead he got a regular quesadilla plate with rice & refried beans. He tasted the rice and beans and said they weren't worth eating so he left them on his plate. The quesadilla had that same strange textured steak so he didn't enjoy that much either. I ordered a burrito for my son and the guy was so distracted that he left the tortilla on the warmer too long and it was very overdone. He used it anyway. Then proceeded to put very small helpings of ingredients on the burrito. Because I had seen other burritos in the restaurant, I knew that my son's burrito was very light on ingredients. My son said the the burrito was just okay, something to eat, but not memorable at all. My ordering experience was quite unpleasant. It was very chaotic on the food prep line. The young man that started my order kept being interrupted by another employee asking him questions and reaching over him. When she wasn't completely in his way she was asking him to do things that took him away from preparing our food. The verde salsa was okay but it was more heat than flavor. The avocado ranch was the highlight of our visit. You get a bag of greasy (see picture), but crisp, chips and your choice of salsas with your order. Go for the avocado ranch, and ask for extras! It's the best thing this restaurant has to offer. I have to note that the cashier was delightful. She was friendly and efficient. She smiled and thanked me for coming to the restaurant. Unfortunately I didn't ask her for her name but she was very gracious. It was very loud in the restaurant making it difficult to have a conversation without yelling. I'd say there were about 15 or so people dining in, besides us. I highly recommend looking at their menu online BEFORE arriving at the restaurant because the only menu that you see before it's your turn to order is the bar menu. Once you get to the front of the line you see their offerings on the menu board. It's a Chipotle style of ordering where you tell them what main dish you want then go down the line picking the things that you want added.
Been to this location twice… never gotten food cause I’ve stood in line so long, not moved, and left… zero sense of urgency and better off going somewhere to sit down. Every other location I’ve been to cranks and is efficient. 2 stars just cause u know the food is good
Normally we like going to Chiloso. Better quality food and portions compared to Chipotle. The price matches those. But this time we got portions that make Chipotle seem like the better option for the price. $18 for my bowl should be at least two meals like it typically is from Chiloso. Hoping the size discrepancy is just from the staff and not corporate pulling the same BS Chipotle did.
Utterly disappointed. I used to love chilosos, but during this visit all I could think of was how I would’ve been more satisfied if I had gone to chipotle. 50$ for two is insane, and I wouldn’t be upset if the food quality was better. The flautas were super oily, I don’t recommend them at all. And my pulled chicken burrito was so salty, I couldn’t pin point the culprit. Never again.
Terrible experience I don't usually like to do this but it always takes something special and extra stupid for me to get on here and vent about it, the wait time is unbelievable and they are extremely rude about it. Half of my order is already out and cold and it took 30 minutes for my flautas to come out. It makes no sense. They did not give any heads up about the wait time or I would've ordered something else, half the family is already done eating and the other half is still waiting on Food. This could've been solved with a simple heads up by saying Hey, our kitchen is backed up. During all this they were super rude from the start. Wouldn't recommend.
My widowed mother placed an order here for a funeral off their website. 1.5 hours before pick up they claimed they no longer sold that (even though it is still actively on their website) and charged her over $150. At this point we are unable to go anywhere else due to the short notice which is an incredibly shitty move. The lack of customer service, professionalism basic human decency is truly astounding. I would advise you to take your business anywhere else.
