Here we are again on 11/18/25 made me wait 20 minutes for food but cleared the line out while I waited I’m so sick of this place the manager barely speaks English and has no customer service skills I hate this location with a passion. 1st they lied like my code didn’t work and when I placed my order online made me wait. NEW MANAGEMENT PLS‼️ 9/8/25 My experience was so unprofessional and welcoming. The whole situation was ghetto. The only thing good about this place is the food when it’s provided freshly. I was disrespected played with and taken for a joke when I asked for my food to be made fresh. When I asked for fresh food they refried my chicken and gave me the exact same food I again returned the food and asked for fresh food bc I was not eating that old chicken. The frustration 😡 Ultimately I didn’t get my food the manager didn’t mind me holding the drive thru up while disputing an 8 pc dark.threatened to call the cops on me which I did bc I knew they would do something like that so I did it 1st the HOOD COOK flirted with me even while I was looking my worst. I’ll NEVER RETURN TO THIS LOCATION the reviews don’t lie 🧘🏽♀️
We ordered pickup and unfortunately the coleslaw was sour and had a funky smell, which made it seem like it wasn’t good. I tried calling the store but didn’t get an answer. This was disappointing because this is actually our second visit, and the first time the coleslaw was really good, which is why this stood out so much. Everything else was fine, but the coleslaw this time around was not edible. I’m sharing this mainly so the team can be aware and hopefully check freshness going forward. I’d still be open to giving it another try based on our first experience.
I decided that I wanted some chicken for lunch and I have been to a Popeyes in a few years. This one was perfect for my trip home. I pulled and parked, I hate going through drive lines. Got out to go in, the doors were locked. So drive line it is. The young lady took my order was super nice and friendly. Wait time wasn't bad. I paid and went home and the experience went down from there. The Mac and cheese was bad 👎. Huge glob of dried looking greasy cheese on top and almost no noodles under it. The biscuits, sadly were dry and hard like a hockey puck. The saving grace was my chicken strips.. well they was more like nuggets to be honest, but instead of a 5 piece tender, I got a 9 piece nugget. They young lady forgot my dipping sauce, Lucky I had some sauce at home to use but just meant I didn't get to try their brands. Moral, it's a meh place but if I go back, it will not be in the drive line.
I just want to have some Turf&Surf 😧. Tried two places only confirmed myself it’s gone. Likely due to cost issues? They use those tiny popcorn shrimp as replacements. Huge disappointment, like I paid $15 for some tiny fried dough 😪. Popeyes, if you don’t want to use real shrimp then just stop selling seafood pls. It’s miserable. Plus the fries are limp and cold, tenders are small too. I have to give up this chain. Sadly I used to like it a lot and was my regular. No business around dinner time, cause you missed the only important thing here- the food
First off, had the chicken sandwich and fries. Fries were ok, but that chicken sandwich... it's great. By far the best fast food chicken sandwich. So great in fact, it's the only reason that this well deserved 1 star visit managed to get 2 stars. I think the person running this franchise needs to watch the security footage on 12/22/19 between 1:00 and 1:45. It wasn't even busy, and from ordering 2 chicken sandwiches and fries, it took over 30 minutes to go from receipt to food in hand. I don't mention names on the internet, but the kid getting our order had to be the slowest and unfocused person I've ever seen, even at a fast food restaurant. At one point he got distracted by something and was walking around aimlessly with our order in one hand and starting on another order with the other. After managing to then drop our order on the ground, I finally had to tell the kid, finished or not, to please just give me my food so I can leave. I'd probably recommend a random drug test happening sooner than a later. From what I witnessed happening in the 45 minutes I was there, you are missing out on a lot of revenue letting your brand operate this way. And to everyone else, I'd say steer clear and go to the Popeye's a few edits east to get your chicken sandwich fix.
Food was great! But guy was rude didnt say anything to me until i asked why the lobby is closed he said “not enough people.” Even though they have 4-5 people doesnt make sense.
We went this afternoon about 1pm. Waited about 5 min for someone to take our order at the drive thru. It took another 15 min to get our food and we were 2nd line. Got to the window and the girl asked us 3 times what our order was. We ordered the 8 pc family meal w/ 1 side and 4 biscuits. We got home and We got 1 leg, 2 wings and 5 thighs. Its suppose to be 2 pcs of each part of the chicken plus it tasted old and dried out. This is the 1st we got bad service from the Rockwall store. I was surprised because thats the type of service we had in Royse City and Greenville they never got our order right. Those are the reasons we dont go to the closer ones. I called the store to complain but the person answered the phone could have cared less. It was our first lousy service and food from the Rockwall location since they opened several years ago.
NOT WHAT I WAS EXPECTING! I did a drive-thru order for mashed potatoes and Cajun gravey. So, I thought I would try the new ghost pepper ranch sandwich based on the photos I saw IN the drive-thru. I got home to see this steamed flat sandwich with orange slop, NO pickles, NO NUTHIN' BUT ORANGE SLOP, FOR ALMOST $9.00!!!!! Shame on THIS Popeye's location and shame on corporate for not having better quality control on what is being put out there in their name!
I am so disappointed in my order. I ordered over $20 worth of chicken meals and the chicken was warm not hot. The coleslaw. I was scared to eat it cause it looked brown and smelled weird looking and it was not cold. The biscuit was not hot either you kno, that is one of the best parts of the meal! we had to heat up all of our food before we could eat it. I called the store and the manager Told me because of where I live instead of her debating with me, she should've been asking what it was. She could do to make it better so unprofessional.The food wouldn't be hot Because of the distance I live from When I got home. I told the manager we started eating the food about 5 miles from the store, but we didn't have time to turn around and come back due to my husband being on his Lunch break. I tried to call the store about five times before someone finally answered the phone. We usually go to the store a lot and because of this experience, don't think we'll be going back. I asked the store manager to have her boss. Call me. And I have yet to hear from him or her. Oh, and by the way, they didn't put the sauce in the bag for my chicken tenders so that made me Even more pissed off
Terrible service by the manager on duty. Rippin Chicken old and overcooked. Manager did offer to replace, but I had to drive back 17 minutes to pick up. Very inconvenient. She never really apologized either. Maybe they were just having a bad night. Nonetheless, I we won't be going back. ✌🏾
Probably one of the worst chicken wings I had. I wanted fresh wings. I got re dipped wings. The chicken just tasted old. NOT HAPPY
Food was terrible I am so sick of getting fries that are hard as rocks and taste gross. The biscuit was horrible, the chicken barely had any meat on the bones. What kind of establishment is this your employees damn sure don’t care about their job. The guy at the window look like he was on his smartphone barely paying attention to whats going on. Some of us have very busy schedules and don’t have time to cook. Is getting a decent tasting meal to much to ask especially for the price were having to pay??
horrible service!!!! I did an order and needed to edit my order cause there were items on my list from days ago and when I placed my order I should be able to edit it within 5-10 minutes, nope it won't let you, so I am never ever ordering from Popeyes/Doordash again, I wasted $67 for nothing, well I won't do that again what-so-ever and they are horrible. I am terribly disappointed.
I bought my daughter the 12 piece signature hot wings. Just to get them overly cooked. And hard, their already high! She was very disappointed, and so was out. A waste of money.
Saturday afternoon we were yelled at in drive thru. The hispanic dark curly hair girl taking our order paused so, we continued ordering & she yelled “WHAT 2 SIDES DO YOU WANT” with the most disrespectful tone, (we didn’t know the order came with it also she paused, so we assumed that part of the order was done) this location always is unnecessarily rude, not my first time being treated poorly here & I’m done giving this establishment another try.
This is one of the slowest service in Rockwall. It takes 30 min to get your food for a simple order. The doors to the lobby are locked most the time so you are forced to use drive thru which adds more time for "fast food". Even when you pre order they will not have your order ready and you will still wait in the drive thru. I added a photo of the very sad wings I ordered... they have to be the smallest I have ever seen! They are mostly breading and are very small. The staff needs a good manager. They are on their phones or having their own conversations while customers are waiting on them. I can only imagine the poor cleanliness of the facility. Have lived here for 15yrs, will not be going back. Places like these used to close down or improve.
I was a fan of Popeyes Chicken for many years and frequently visit this store throughout the year. I am very disappointed with the quality of food and the service they provided during my two recent visits. Most recently, the interactions with the staff were adequate but the choice of food and ensuing service was less-than satisfactory. After placing an order for “spicy” chicken, I reiterated the same at the payment window due to their not fulfilling the same request during my previous visit. I should have tasted the chicken prior to leaving the premises but discovered too late that once again, the chicken order I received was not “spicy” as well as being dry. Additionally, their coleslaw has evolved into a confusing concoction of…whatever. I have experienced some wonderful stores where the management seemed to regard customer service, quality of food and cleanliness as an integral component to their role in the food service industry. I have not detected similar vibes in this store. This store is in need of actions and not words toward changes in service and food quality.
If you wanna wait 10 minutes while standing in line while no one helps you and they only do drive-through orders go ahead and come here terrible place. I’d give it a zero star if I could maybe try to hire a better help instead of young adults who don’t do anything.
I Love Popeyes food. That being said I have been to this location twice. The first time I was appalled by the cleanliness of the bathroom(Absolutely disgusting) almost too the point were the restaurant should be closed. This being said the second time I went and the last time I will ever go to this location, the bathroom was even worse. I did not even think this was possible. The CDC should have been called. What the hell. I could not even enter I opened the door and had to retreat. I may have gotten a disease just from that. I had to quickly retreat. This place should be closed down. It is not safe to eat there with bathrooms so incredibly unimaginably dirty. My god how do the employees stay clean or even go to the bathroom. Does anyone even or has anyone ever cleaned this bathroom???
Edit: I have to update my review, I thought I'd give them amother chance this past Sunday (8-24-25) because it's become significantly worse. Apparently no one bothers now to even take counter orders. I stood their several minutes while everyone ignored me. One employee was standing around by I think the food prep area on his phone, the management person (young lady who appeared to be pregnant) wasn't making any effort to take orders herself or find the person who was. Then a couple more people came in behind me and still no one even bothered to say they'd be with us in a minute and the manager gave those of us standing there a dirty look. The people behind me asked if anyone was taking orders, no one responded so they left and I did to, the Wendy's next door was happy to quickly take my money. This location has serious customer service issues on Sundays. I'm done. I won't be back to a place with employees who don't give a crap about doing their job right. Whoever the young man at the counter register was yesterday afternoon (7-20-25) was, someone needs to let him know that trying to have conversations on his phone while taking orders is a terrible idea. I had to repeat my order multiple times and he still didn't get it right that the order was for here and not to go. He continued having a conversation with someone on the phone even after that and ignoring customers until he finally noticed them. The food and cleanliness was fine but the bathroom needed attention.
I just walked in and the guy at the front counter was looking at his phone and playing a game while trying to take my order. He asked me what I wanted after I told him my order. He didn’t seem to care at all about his job. Finally I said should I have someone else take my order instead? He immediately started to take my order. Then went to the back and came back with my sandwich which I don’t trust. Also the place was a mess. Where they have the soda fountains it was very unclean with dried up sticky colored soda and fruit punch on the counter tops. I don’t recommend coming to this location because the customer service is poor and this guy was more concerned about his iPhone game than actually taking an order.
We have ordered many times in the past, no complaints. Delivery today was awful. Chicken was old, beans and rice was mostly rice, potatoes and gravy barely had gravy, dry potatoes. Called the store, manager said she fixed the order and it was not like I said. Argued back and forth, she finally said, next time you’re in I will give you wings….. that’s ok, won’t be back! Door dash would not credit or refund…. $55.00 in the trash.
