The food here is absolutely amazing! Every dish was fresh, full of flavor, and clearly made with care. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the service was quick without feeling rushed. The atmosphere is cozy and comfortable, perfect for enjoying a good meal with family or friends. I’ll definitely be coming back and recommending this place to everyone I know!

To our surprise, it was not busy at all. However, the food was in good tasting. I ordered a small bowl with potstickers for appetizers. I am a sucker for potstickers. A beloved dish was met exactly how I expected it to be- delicious. Our food was hot and fresh and so good. Upon going up to get our bowls ready it smelled cleaned, looked clean and organized. The overall experience was good. The waitress was mindful and gave good service. Even her colleagues were kind and helpful in asking if we needed anything additional. 10/10.

Something that really touched us was that, although she is American, she made the effort to talk to us in Spanish. The food was Awesome the service was the BEST the server saw I was struggling with choosing a sauce and asked if I would like to try her personal fave that she then offered us a sample of and it was so Good so she mixed it up and added to our bowls! The bowls were huge and we got the medium and had leftovers! Katie at the rockwall location was greatness thank you! We will be back!

Went here for my birthday and the food was delicious and so was the dessert. I love the getting to pick what I want in my bowl and having someone else cook it for me. The service was great! Will be coming back. Hummus is good and so are the potstickers! Something for the whole family.

Katy was very welcoming! The food was delicious and we even had leftovers to enjoy the next day! The area was clean and comfortable.

The taste and flavor is as good as I remember it. This location has been here for many years. Place is looking aged but you can tell there has been aesthetic upgrades. The price was way more than before but I guess that’s everywhere because of inflation (blame the current administration for that). The wait staff friendly and energetic. We had a visitor Dino g with us. He’s from Mexico and he said he really enjoyed his meal.

OVERALL: THE DIFFERENCE WAS LOCATION I stopped by at the end of an exploratory trip. Not impressed by the last Genghis Grill so I thought I'd give a different location a try. I was quickly greeted and got my bowl. First difference I noticed was the cleanliness. Much improved! It was not crowded at all but I went in before 4. Also, I noticed that the selection was a little more expansive. Could this be because I was in a different, more selective area (Rockwall County), I can not say but I am grateful. Everything was well cooked and still piping hot when I ate it 30 minutes later. Pretty good reheated too!

This was my first time here and I just thought it was ok. I have it at 3 because of the price. For lunch I got the large bowl and the total cost was 14 dollars. It seems like a lot for one bowl. I have seen mongolian places for 9 bucks. The sauces I think are too salty but that could just me. The bathrooms were clean which was nice. I would not go back mostly because the price.

The wait staff was excellent, but my wife's food came out 20 minutes before mine did, and when my food did come out it was mostly burnt. They offered to cook me another bowl of my choice of food, but i didnt have another 30 minutes to kill. I watched them cook everyone's food before mine. The kitchen staff management included need to work on the timing of when they cook the food.

My husband and I were just in eating lunch together. Our server Wade was great- attentive and quick to take our order. Unfortunately the man with the blue eyeshadow who I assume was the manager on duty at the time- was not someone I’d personally want as a manager of my own business. This “manager” yelled at a woman across the whole restaurant for all the other guests to hear- all over 4 mandarin orange slices. The way she spoke was so condescending that my husband and I were baffled. The woman who was being yelled at tried to do what the manager wanted and the manager ended up rolling her eyes at her and gestured this woman to just move on. This manager then gossiped about the same guest to her employees for the entire hour my husband and I were eating. Loud enough for us to hear everything she was saying about this guest- who had already left with to-go food. It seems as though her condescending tone comes naturally to her as she spoke to our server, Wade, in the same manner after he tried to offer his help stocking the plastic silverware. Managers in the position they are in should be skilled in diffusing situations, offering knowledge and kindness to guests instead of dedicating the conversation to belittling guests.

Food is okay. They are starting to overcook the meat. This site needs major upgrading. I tried to take as many pictures for everyone. The door alone all disgusting with finger prints. A/C has been broken with a big hole in ceiling, booths most all taped up. It's been God awful for years.. Don't get me started on the bathroom and bar area always smells like sewage. Visited here while in town for work Waited longer than I usually would have to be seated. 3-4 different employees walked past my colleague and I without acknowledging our existence. After a few minutes we were seated. Then, waited longer than I should have to be waited on. Again, 3-4 employees walked past our table without acknowledging us. It wasn't until we stopped someone and asked who our waiter was. Sophia, a new employee was brought over and introduced to us. Took a good while to have our order placed. There were multiple drinks listed, but we were told only margaritas could be made. So I ordered a raspberry marg and my coworker ordered a strawberry marg. They both tasted like flavored water. If I had not placed the order myself I wouldn't have believed if someone told me they were alcoholic beverages. Terrible. I ordered the supreme fried rice which was overly dry and overall not good. I ended up just eating the protein out of the rice. We were not charged for the drinks and I didn't bother taking my leftovers with me. In addition there was a birthday party going on. Kids running around the restaurant nonstop. The experience was awful and will be my first and only visit. I woke up out of my sleep around 7am with my stomach in knots. Food did not sit well with my stomach at all and I didn't even eat half of it. Would not recommend.

03/02/2026 Very disappointed with this night staff. Me and my son showed up right at 8pm for a simple dinner bowl. We got our drinks ordered and brought to the table and were asked to go build our bowls. After making our bowls selection, we dropped off the bowls with the cook. It was a very slow night for the staff. After waiting for almost an hour for our bowls, the waitress comes and informs us that they accidentally gave our bowls to another table. She offered to comp us the bowls, if we wanted to go build another bowl and wait, but I find it hard to believe that they couldn’t read the name on the paper/receipt with our names on it like when they asked us for it at the beginning of the order? Not only did me and my son wait for almost an hour to find out the food was handed out to someone else, but I was not going to wait for another hour to get the next bowl cooked. Not sure how they can just drop the ball like that, but they need to pay better attention and also check in on customers more frequently to find out what the hold up is.

The food was awful and burnt dirrent realized it until we got home we had to wait almost 2 hours & we spend $80 dollars and the food went to the trash couldn’t eat it of so burnt it was. Don’t recommend this locating 🤢

I’m sorry, but this location is so run down. Duct tape is holding together most of the cushion on the chairs. The restroom was dirty. The whole place gave bad vibes. Even our waiter looked depressed. Each of our bowls came out like 10 mins apart and they bought out our kid’s plate last. The food was not the best quality either. I would’ve left it it wasn’t for my other guest who wanted to give it a try. Don’t go. Find another alternative.

We arrived, we were asked to seat ourselves. No problem, except none of the open tables had been cleaned. Someone came and cleaned a table for us. Our waitress was prompt to take our order for drinks and food. My fiancee received her food, and that was the last time our server attended our table. My food took another 30 minutes or more to come out. The chef brought my food out himself, at which point I asked for it to go. We waited another 10 minutes, and the waitress never came back to our table, she walked to one of her coworkers at the bar to socialize. I put cash down on the table (which I shouldn’t have even done that) took my food to go and walked out. Definitely one of the worst services I’ve ever received at a restaurant. It’s not like they were even that busy.

Beware of this place if you have food allergies!! My daughter is allergic to pineapple and (severely) allergic to honey. We asked the manager, Rick, which sauces were safe for her. At first he said the gluten free are safe. Then said all the dark sauces contain honey and the only one that was probably okay for her is the Alfredo but added "don't quote me on that". By Alfredo, he was referring to the garlic parm. He also refused to provide an ingredient list when requested. We elected to just have hers cooked in soy sauce. My food came without the noodles. I was told I would get them, but never did. We were there to celebrate 2 family birthdays and were quite disappointed. The only star of the evening was our server, Marcos! He did an excellent job and went above and beyond to do what he could to make it a nice night.

Of all the times I have gone to Genghis I have never been disappointed until today. It took quite a while to get out drinks. Of the minimal drink menu they didn't have the ingredients for an old fashioned. Our waitress seemed disinterested in taking care of our table. There were plenty of employees and not many customers. Our waitress was distracted hanging out with other employees not doing side work nor taking care of customers. About 20 minutes after we finished our meal we finally got our check and a refill to go because she did not check on our table until then.

We came into genghis grill and it took her over 10 mins to come and greet us. Then she took our order and we went to make our bowls and when we came back 5 mins later no drinks and we waited another 4 mins after that until we received them. All we asked for was 2 waters.Then we waited over an hour for our food to be made and brought over to us. The waitress complained that it was hectic in there but there was only 4 tables in the building. Then I over hear at another table that they are out of sweet tea yet they close in 2 hours so why not make more. I am a server and this was the worst experience i have ever had at a restaurant. No manger came over or anything. I mean we barley saw our server we just took our food, paid and left.

We hadn't been to a Genghis Grill in many years, but the food used to be decent. We sat down, and after what seemed while, the waitress took our drink order. There wasn't a lot of customers, seemed like 2 tables per waiter, but somehow everything was slow. It took 3x as long to get our drinks, a lemonade and water. Then we were told there was no more lemonade, and the one she gave us might be watered down. Several minutes pass, and she takes our order and asks if we want chop sticks, to which we say yes. The food eventually comes out, again it took a long time considering there are not a lot of customers and there were 4 or 5 people preparing food. We ordered sesame chicken and sweet and sour. Simple, basic, dishes, but I took one bite of the sesame and was put off. So much breading and it tasted almost like beer batter, I can't describe it, but it was not good. I tried again but couldn't eat it. Plus, the rice was mushy. My daughter said the sweet and sour tasted ok but had a wierd after taste. We never received our chop sticks nor were offered refills. The waitress was polite, just overall not enjoyable.
