We dined in for a casual but elevated lunch, and it was so amazing. We basically made our own tapas, and everything was great: selections of cold cuts and cheeses (with the most delish hot honey!), the artichokes (so so good), bruschetta, and meatballs. We didn't have a reservation and we got really lucky as they had a few large parties, but they were so kind to us and service was excellent.

The pasta was really tasty — you can tell it was cooked with care and good quality ingredients. The sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly coated the pasta, with just the right touch of cheese on top. Overall, it left a great impression — everything was spot on. I also calculated the calories using the service mentioned on the photo attached to this review. It turned out to be very convenient — in just a few seconds you can get all the calorie and macro info. For anyone tracking their diet, it’s a real gem — it makes keeping an eye on what you eat incredibly easy.

The best food we had in all of Italy, at a reasonable price! We tried their breakfast, lunch and dinner as we were staying just around the corner for a few days. Of note was the tomato focaccia (one of the best flavour experiences of my life), and the various Cornettos and pastries for breakfast. Also excellent coffee here. The best Capaccino I had in Italy. Really rate this special special place.

WOW. If you are anywhere in the area, no, scratch that - take the train to S. Pietro station specifically to visit Cresci. It’ll make your day. They do table service, but no menu, so join the mob at the counter to take a look over their food (everything is delicious), take a couple of pictures to show the helpful staff, and pick a table. Someone will come over and you can order. While you are there, stop at their deli, where they will make you the most delicious sandwich (they called it a “stuffed baguette”) you can put in your bag for later. Highly recommend. 10/5

Thank you so much to the warm, welcoming, hospitable team at this restaurant who provided the best service I’ve had in my 3 days in Rome. At one point I had 3 people helping me at once! Just little old me with a team of 3 trying to make sure they got my order right! Really special. I wish I got their names, especially the waitress who gave me a mini Italian language lesson. A Hidden Gem near San Pietro at Vatican City: The Perfect Italian Breakfast at Cresci Stumbling upon Cresci was a delightful surprise during my quest for a classic Italian cornetto and coffee. What I found was so much more than I expected—it's a true gem. The moment you walk in, you're greeted by a spectacular charcuterie and preserved goods section that makes you want to buy everything. The selection and quality are top-notch, clearly a point of pride for the establishment. But the real star of the show is the cornetto. We tried the cherry-filled one and a plain one, and they were out of this world—flaky, buttery, and fresh. Paired with a delicious coffee, it was an absolutely perfect start to the day. They also have an impressive and well-priced selection of sandwiches. Cresci is a place that is absolutely worth a visit. It's the perfect combination of quality, flavor, and value. I'll definitely be back on my next trip to Rome!

Cannot believe this place is so close to the Vatican and still authentic. Staff doesn’t mean much English but they all go out of the way to make you comfortable. The locals come for the bread and I stayed for it. Anything bread associated was phenomenal! Can also recommend the tapas small plates 5 for 10 euro to try a couple of dishes. It is more on the expensive side if you go through all the courses but worth every bite.

Ultimate happiness is here. Perfectly cooked food with a nice portion (not too much and elegant), the best friendly service and great location. It was just so amazing, i cannot describe it. Moderno ed accogliente bistrot dietro la cupola di san pietro. Menù non tipico romano, ma adatto ad un pubblico sopratutto giovane e frizzante Piatti curati e ben fatti. Siamo stati qui per cena. Il menù propone sia piatti più particolari sia grandi classici della tradizione romana. Assolutamente da provare le polpette di brasato: eccezionali, morbidissime, si scioglievano letteralmente in bocca. Molto buona anche la parmigiana, saporita e ben equilibrata nei gusti. Tra i primi abbiamo scelto la carbonara, cremosa al punto giusto e con la pasta perfettamente al dente. Ottima anche la guanciotta di manzo, davvero tenera. L’ambiente è semplice ma curato, accogliente e piacevole. Unica nota negativa il servizio, lento ma comunque cordiale.

Colazione di qualità e ambiente accogliente 🥐☕ Siamo stati da Cresci per colazione e l'esperienza è stata davvero positiva. Abbiamo provato un cappuccino di soia ben eseguito e due pezzi di pasticceria che ci hanno sorpreso: il Pain au Chocolat e lo Stuart con crema alla gianduia e cocco. Entrambi i dolci erano molto buoni, con una crema di ottima qualità. La pasticceria è chiaramente artigianale e di alto livello. L'ambiente è molto carino, perfetto per iniziare la giornata con calma in un'atmosfera piacevole. Consigliatissimo se vi trovate in zona Prati/San Pietro!

Un buon ristorante, il menù contiene dalla pizza alla pasta ai cicchetti… tutto buono, ma niente memorabile. La pizza ripiena molto buona, quella margherita meno… cicchetti simpatici per un aperitivo. Prezzi giusti finalmente… tornerò

Premetto che ci sono stata di domenica alle ore 11 per cui gli sfogliati della colazione erano quasi finiti, il locale era pieno. Nonostante ciò mi è piaciuta l’atmosfera all’interno, con il laboratorio a vista e una vastissima scelta di lievitati salati alla vista davvero ottimi (ci ritornerò per provarli). Ho acquistato i pangoccioli, mi sono piaciuti, peccato che c’era tanta gente e non mi sono potuta sedere.

We started with the bruschetta which was piled high with tomatoes. Very good! We also got the carbonara, which was amongst the best we’ve tried in Rome. Our waitress seemed to be actively avoiding us. She never stopped at our table without us having to flag her down. I felt like we were being very rude doing so, but it was the only way to get any service. If you are used to being a polite diner you’ll have to go out of your comfort zone here.

The atmosphere: nice and elegant, great for dates The menu online: is outdated, with lower prices. The food: extensive menu, great things to chose and share. Selection of Tapas: selection of 10, most of them were good, especially the roastbeef and the squid. Serving french fries as tapas, and 3cm croquet as a separate tapas was not considerate. Pasta Stracci all’uovo: pasta with ragú, pasta seemed overcooked, it was not al dente. Maybe that type of pasta was supposed to be soft? Tiramisu: not traditional version, modernised, the creme was more than the biscuit. Our overall experience was good, hence we rate 4 star.

Il locale è carinissimo e mi sento di consigliarlo sia per l'atmosfera piacevole che per il cibo ottimo. Ci siamo stati diverse volte sia a pranzo che a cena, ma anche per un aperitivo o per un croissant al volo prima di andare in ufficio. Devo però segnalare che, oltre a ragazzi del personale veramente molto gentili e professionali, c'è un ragazzo davvero scortese in cassa... leggo dalle altre recensioni di non essere l'unica ad avere avuto questo tipo di esperienza che, nonostante la qualità del locale, mi porta a non volerci tornare. È davvero un peccato.

Locale caratteristico e a due passi da piazza San Pietro, la cucina è discreta ma non in grado di far arrivare i piatti ordinati con un margine accettabile: ordinate 2 paste e 2 pizze, abbiamo visto gli amici mangiare e sul loro finire sono arrivate le 2 pizze perdipiù tiepide. I ragazzi ai tavoli sono gentili, meno chi li gestisce. Il parcheggio è in strada e per la zona serve un pò di fortuna.

This place is an absolute gem, locals recommend & fresh pastries, amazing coffee, worth coming in. However, one member of staff (Asian lady with a black bow) super rude and ruined the whole experience and atmosphere. I understood she didn’t speak much English but welcomed us with a horrible look on her face and swore at us in Italian when we picked up our own coffee. The rest of staff explained coffee is brought to the table, so next time we knew. Sadly our first day she completely ruined the vibe. Beware :) rest of the staff is lovely.

Il locale è bellino, probabilmente il cibo buono, ma a causa del pessimo servizio non lo posso dire. Ero andato per un piccolo aperitivo intorno alle 12 di sabato e, dopo avermi fatto accomodare ordino da bere e un vassoietto di pizza (come suggerito dalla cameriera). Il crodino arriva subito, la pizza... mai vista. Nonostante altre 3 cameriere a cui ho chiesto e anche, ad un certo punto, dopo essermi alzato ed essere andato direttamente io vicino al banco pizza. Un ragazzo ha iniziato a tagliarla, ma poi ha abbandonato tutto e ha continuato a servire altra gente. Dopo aver aspettato 20 minuti mi sono alzato e sono andato a pagare. Il cassiere, mi ha detto di pagare pure la pizza, ma io gli ho risposto che non la volevo più, a causa della lunga attesa e lui, invece di scusarsi mi ha guardato anche infastidito. Sorvoliamo sul prezzo: 4.50€ un crodino. Ho letto, in alcune risposte, che il prezzo rappresenta la qualità delle materie prime. Non ne dubito, ma un crodino è un crodino ovunque, anche dove te lo fanno pagare 2,50€ e ti servono nei tempi. Pessima esperienza.

Sono stata per colazione, dopo aver letto le belle recensioni. Una delusione completa. Fettine di banana bread (normale, niente di speciale) ma molto piccole a 3 euro,, chiediamo qualcosa di salato ma l'avocado crost non c'era e dopo aver chiesto se era possibile togliere una cosa da un bagel ci hanno risposto che non era possibile perche' avevano tutto gia' pronto....si trattava di tagliare un bagel (disponibile) e di mettere due fette di salmone. We visited this restaurant while on vacation in Italy, drawn in by the high reviews and beautiful photos. The atmosphere was definitely pleasant and we were seated quickly, so I had hopes it would be a great experience. Unfortunately, it went downhill fast. Service was inattentive from the start. We were met with flat replies and horrible body language by the waitress. Additionally, we noticed that throughout our meal, other tables were checked on regularly while we were met with for a bare minimum amount of time. We didn’t expect top-tier service, but it was frustrating to feel ignored while others got consistent attention. Still, I hoped the food would make up for it. We ordered the zucchini flower, maccheroni, maccheroncini all'amatriciana, and bombolotti alla carbonara. They looked fine when they arrived, but every dish was SHOCKINGLY way too salty and undercooked, hard, crunchy pasta with barely any redeeming flavor. The zucchini flower was mushy and overly salty, likely due to the anchovies, but the pastas were honestly some of the worst I’ve ever had. Each bite was harder to get through than the last. I’m not sure if we were served differently because we were tourists, but this experience did not live up to the hype. If you decide to try it, just be cautious, what you see in the reviews and pictures may not reflect your actual experience.
