Opinions de Mr Dragon Noodle House Rosemead
If you like Mama Lu's or P P pop, this is another similar restaurant with the same type of comfort foods that you'll also like as well. And like the other two spots, this place can get packed fast for both dinner and lunch. They have great portions (peep the giant cup of lemon iced tea) and the beef noodles and XLBs are the go-to's. Stir fried udon is one of my faves. Parking can be difficult though!
Used to work in the area for years and I swear have been to this location, but can’t remember for sure. When a friend suggested Mr Dragon for lunch, well of course had to try. Seating was readily available. No wait, but something tells me it does get busy at dinner time. Service was quick and I just love that you get to mark your order on a slip. The menu are in color multi languages and have pictures of yummy dishes. We had the soups and we didn’t go wrong. I highly recommend the spicy beef noodle soup. Parking is a little bit of a challenge as this plaza has many businesses. Overall great place great food and I definitely will be back.
I would say its a gem 💎 and you should to give it to try! I had nice delicious breakfast over there I enjoyed every dish I tried over there! Recommend to try, you will never regret!
It was our first time on this beautiful Saturday morning in October 20 25. The place was very busy. It was great for people watching and enjoying the music in the background. We enjoyed the food. The beef in the noodle soup was very well prepared. It had a lot of flavor and fell apart easily. The fried dumplings could have used a little more boss inside and flavor. The bok choi vegetables in the soup were cooked very nicely. I could have eaten a double portion of those. The lemonade was a nice surprise. It came in a Stein Like sized glass. Our kids enjoyed the plain noodles and even the boss. Parking can be a challenge here. They are spots in the shade but they are quite tight.
Mr. Dragon Noodle House is worth every mile. The dumplings are perfectly juicy, and the fried udon noodles are crispy, savory perfection. Honestly, it’s comfort food done right.
First time here and what caught my eye is their large portions. Got the beef noodles, popcorn chicken (a must), beef roll and spicy wonton. Everything was good. I would definitely get the beef roll and popcorn chicken again. The spicy wonton I prefer a sweeter taste while this one used more chili spices. The noodle was good and was also very flavorful.
Mr. Dragon Noodle House is a must-visit! Parking is tight, so join the Yelp waitlist about 11 minutes before arrival to save time. The staff is professional and friendly, providing a menu, paper, and pen while you wait. The restaurant is clean and feels fresh, enhancing the dining experience. Lemon Green Tea 🍋🍵: Comes in a big cup, perfectly balanced, not too sweet, and pairs well with the dishes. Beef Roll 🥩🌯: 10/10! The beef is seasoned beautifully, the outer roll is crunchy, and it’s served hot—pure perfection. Pan-Fried Pork Bao 🥟: A great mix of steamed and fried, soft on the outside, juicy inside, and perfectly crispy on the bottom. Dan Dan Noodles 🍜🥜: The BEST! The peanut sauce is rich and flavorful—highly recommended. Spicy Beef Noodle Soup 🌶️🥩: The beef is incredibly tender, almost melting in your mouth. So satisfying!
Portion was reasonable. Taste is acceptable. Service is good. This was my first time to try this resto. I read it in my FB.
The food here is amazing! The pop corn chicken is silky smooth and batter is crunchy. The spicy pop corn chicken is pretty. Order mild if you are not into spicy food. The spicy noodle soup is just that! SPICY... But oh so good! The beef is tender and the soup is full of flavor. The pot stickers, skin is crispy on one side and soft on the other. The pork is delicious! I can't say that I've seen them prepared this way, but it is really good. The soup dumplings are probably my favorite. They come to the table, steaming hot. You gotta eat them quick. They're much better hot than any other way. In one of the photos, I think you can see the steam coming off them. The service is quick. Everybody was polite. Nice. I asked a lot of questions to make sure that our order was correct. Food came out fairly quickly and they help keep the tables clean. The ambiance of the restaurant is pretty nice considering you're in a shopping strip mall setting. The way the restaurant is set up and it's design totally different world inside, then out. We traveled down from the Bay area every couple months, and this is definitely one of our first stops. Can't say anything but great things! We always look forward to eating here. Try it out if you haven't I would also suggest bringing your own to go containers and somewhere to keep it if you have to drive. You will want to take food home, so order more than you need because you are going want some later that night.
Parking: They’re located in a medium sized plaza. It’s very busy considering there are other popular restaurants in the same plaza. Parking can be difficult to find. Ambiance/Environment: They have a medium sized space with a decent amount of seating ranging from small to large groups. We dined for a party of 6 around 17:00. We were seated right away. Usually around 18:00-20:00 is their dinner rush. Service: All servers were amazing! They’re quick and efficient. They constantly refilled our water cups almost every 5-10 minutes, which was very much appreciated. Dishes: All menu items were shareable. We all ordered something different and tried each other’s dishes. Unfortunately we did not order drinks! Not only are they known for their delicious dishes, they are also known for their beverages served in a GENEROUS cup! 1) Spicy Braised Beef Noodle Soup - I love the noodles! It was definitely spicy. They were generous with the beef. I could tell it was cooked well since it easily ripped apart. The broth was flavorful, but it seemed to have excess fat or too much oil. 2) Popcorn Chicken - Can’t mess up a classic appetizer. The breading tasted exactly like any other popcorn chicken. Very crunchy. You can adjust the spice level, and we asked for the spice powder on the side. 3) Pan Fried Pork Bao - The outer layer of the bao was soft. Careful when biting it because some soup might squirt out. These were absolutely delicious and steaming hot. 4) Pork Potsticker - These reminded me of gyozas/dumplings. Crispy on one side and steamed on the other. These were very large! Pork was cooked well and flavorful. 5) Beef Rolls - The pastry was crunchy, and there was a lot of fall out. It was rolled well being that everything stuck together even after a bite. The beef wasn’t my favorite .. maybe if it was served with its own sauce? 6) Pork Fried Rice Cake - This doesn’t seem like a lot, but the rice cakes were fulfilling. The sauce wasn’t too salty. Lots of flavor and generous amount of meat. 7) Dan Dan Noodles - These were also fulfilling! The noodles are thick! It was served with a lot of toppings and chili oil. Make sure to mix everything well. This was spicy, but you can always adjust. Pricing: Definitely worth it! Everything is shareable and sizes are generous!
There's a parking lot, but a lot of people go to this plaza. So you may have to search for parking. We almost left because the lot was packed. We came on a Saturday evening. They had a waitlist, but we didn't have to wait too long. We got sat down quickly, ordered, and received our food fast. The staff are pretty efficient. Prices in house was decent compared to their delivery prices. They played EDM music, which was great. Overall, the food was good, and the portions were decent in size. We ordered the shrimp fried rice, beef noodle soup, popcorn chicken, xiao long bao, and Fujian style fried vermicelli. We are until we were stuffed and had plenty of leftovers to take home. I can't wait to come back and try other items on the menu.
Found this hidden gem when visiting LA. Nothing is more satisfying than having your comfort food right off the airplane. The food was top notch with big portions. Especially the Pork Xiao Long Bao and Pan Fried Pork Bao were our favourite. Staffs were attentive and friendly. Highly recommend and will definitely visit again!
Amazing food. Everything we ordered was delicious. One of the best Asian restaurants we’ve been to in a long time. Can’t recommend it enough!
Mr Dragon Noodle House was a random pick due to high reviews, wasn’t sure what I wanted to eat here but this place is damn worth a visit! The food is absolutely fantastic! I can see why peeps rave about this place; I would suggest getter there at an odd time so one can actually get a seat! One of the best beef rolls I have ever tasted, it’s not typical, crispy on the outside! – The beef noodle soup was flavorful, hints of star anise and Chinese five spice flowed throughout the dish! Customer service was great and prices are reasonable! Give them a try, worth the visit!

It was pretty busy when we arrived for dinner, but only waited 15-20 minutes for a party of 2. They bus the tables pretty quickly. You sign in on a tablet, grab a menu and ordering sheet. The prices are on the ordering sheet and the menu has pictures of the apps and entrees. I ordered the popcorn chicken (mild), pork and crab XLB, and the house beef noodle soup. The popcorn chicken tasted pretty good and was not spicy at all. Def something for a larger party to share, ended up taking the rest home. The pork and crab XLB was pretty good! Not a lot of soup inside, but the flavor was great 😊 And skin wasn’t too doughy too, iykyk. The house beef noodle soup was pretty solid. Plenty of noodles, and three large chunks of beef. The beef was super tender. I was honestly surprised. Bok choy was fresh and crunchy, not over done. Not something (beef noodle soup) I would normally eat or order, but my friend really hyped it up. I would say it’s a solid bowl of noodles and soup. I can tell it tastes pretty good 👍🏼 Overall pretty affordable and great spot to check out if you’re into beef noodle soups and XLB. There’s parking, didn’t wait too long to find a spot.
Absolutely delicious Taiwanese restaurant that specializes in the classic Taiwan Beef Noodle Soup. We ordered the Spicy Braised Beef Noodle Soup and the kick was just perfect. They also have great side dishes such as Pan Fried Pork Buns (a must!) and Beef Roll Cake. I regret forgetting to order Pickled Vegetable on the side for my noodles. I also wished I came with more people so we could've tried more food. Huge shopping plaza with plenty of free parking. Nice updated restaurant. Looks like a pretty busy place, but their service is awesome and quick. Best of all, the portions are extremely generous with great price value. My friend and I both had enough left over for a second meal. Expect to pay around $25-30 per person after taxes & tips. Definitely will be returning whenever I'm in the area to try other items!
This place has a fun atmosphere. Attentive and friendly staff, simple menu. Not expensive. And if its busy dont worey the line moves fast. Very well done Chinese noodle soups with a Taiwanese flavor. and pot stickers in a bao bun? It's a must try. Don't forget the honey green tea too- it will keep you awake.
Came here with a friend on a Thursday night and the place was packed. I definitely recommend joining the Yelp waitlist before you arrive. We got lucky and snagged a table in under 10 minutes when one opened up. We ordered the dan dan noodles, xiao long bao, mild spicy popcorn chicken, and stir-fried rice cake with pork. OMG, the dan dan noodles are to die for. Perfectly savory, nutty, and addictive. Easily the standout dish of the night. The xiao long bao was just okay since the skin was a bit too thick for my preference. The popcorn chicken was one of the best I’ve had. Super crispy, flavorful, and the portion was huge for the price. The stir-fried rice cake with pork was another solid dish. Chewy, comforting, and definitely worth ordering. Service was pretty typical of an Asian mom-and-pop restaurant. Efficient and no-frills. It does get pretty loud inside since the restaurant is on the smaller side and tables are close together. Parking can be challenging during peak lunch and dinner hours, so plan accordingly. Overall, great food and value. Will definitely be coming back to try more items on the menu! 🍜
You come here for the giant portions on food and drinks servings. I got the D3. Beef and tendon noodles soup. When you look at the menu there is an E3 that looks similar but they are actually different with soup base . While D3 is beef soup, E3 is chicken and pork based. The beef noodle soup portion is uber large. The beef topping and tendon was tender. The popcorn chicken was quite good. The serving was massive. I was not able to finish it myself. The iced beverage they serve is humongous . I skipped it this time as I know it will mess with my sleep pattern lol. Side note. The tip suggestion on the receipt is computed based on the total with tax .. not on the food order total.
Ordered their signature beef noodle soup and the popcorn chicken. They don't have that many tables inside but luckily there was a table when we came for lunch. The food was served quite quickly after we ordered, like around 10 minutes. The beef noodles were okay, not the best but not bad either. They gave a good amount of noodles and beef too. The popcorn chicken was good though. The pieces were pretty big and not like cheap boba places where its mostly batter and not chicken. The portion size is good for sharing for groups too. Overall, I think this is a decent beef noodle place. They have other dishes and those seem pretty popular.

Delicious! Probably one of the best beef rolls I've had. Sure it could have had more sauce, but they deep fry the wrapper before rolling it. Kinda like a canole. Super delicious. The pork fried dumplings were awesome along with the spicy chili oil pork dumplings
The food is delicious, no doubt. I especially like the beef soup. The service, on the other hand, I have mixed feedback . The service overall is ok. They try to rush you out. To a certain extent, I understand, but there should come with a better strategy during the rush hour instead of being passive-aggressive. Parking
Dumplings were great, Dan Dan Noodles were bland, they played good music and it was very busy and popular. I give the service 2 stars bc they basically kicked us out before we were even done eating! We were there for a little over an hour and my friend was still eating and they basically told us we needed to leave bc they had a long wait list. So they brought us boxes while my friend was finishinf eating, cleaned our plates AS we were packing up, didn't even let us split the bill and kicked us out. While the food was great, I won't be coming back for the service alone!

This place is a scam, what you'd call a "tourist trap" (if it were in a tourist area). I only went because I am in the process of trying every Chinese restaurant on Valley Blvd. I thought the 红烧牛肉面 braised beef noodles was good. The noodles were nice and chewy. But things ended there. I don't often order xiaolongbao because it's an overhyped dish, it this made me remember why. The XLB were dry, not juicy. You could roll it around like a marble. It's supposed to be laden with juice so it sits there like a sack and practically breaks when you try to move it. 牛肉卷饼 beef rolled up pancake was sickly sweet. There was no meaty, gamey, bright, or fresh flavor to balance that. Tasted like I'd imagine a Japanese influence on Taiwan might produce. This dish is supposed to taste like savory beef wrapped in a flatbread with fresh herbs—not pulled pork in bbq sauce. Popcorn chicken had zero basil in it. Just lumps of fried chicken. 抄手 wontons in red oil were also in a sweet sauce, not spicy. The menu overall offers nothing special and doesn't cohere in any regional theme. It's just like the "greatest hits" of bread stuff (noodles and dumplings and rice) from here or there. No way to know what they're actually good at, or if the cooks have a preference for a taste aesthetic from their home regions. There are no vegetables on the menu. No protein that the average mal-goer might think is "weird" (even when it isn't). Even Din Tai Fung, as bougie and mall-centric as it is, offers some clever things or has particular dishes that people want to go for. As others have noted, they rush you out, pushing you out of the way to clear your table and bringing the bill early. In every other Chinese restaurant, you ask for the bill when you're ready. The bad manners of stuffing the bill at you is really rude in the culture, but maybe they figure there are so many non-Chinese there that they can get away with it.
