My husband surprised me with a box of the famous Round Rock Donuts on Sunday morning, and wow—they absolutely lived up to the hype! Fresh, soft, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The perfect balance of sweet and fluffy. We might just have to make this our every-other-weekend tradition because they’re that good. A true Texas gem.
We've gotten to visit Round Rock Donuts a couple of times now, and every time has been a great experience! They have a drive-thru and a walk-up outdoor counter, and I highly suggest doing the walk-up if youre able to! We've done both, and the walk-up always seems to be faster service overall. The drive-thru can get pretty long and even go down the street past the building. The Texas-sized donut is so fun to get and just as delicious as you would hope! The cinnamon rolls are also tasty, and the kolaches are basic but good. Everything is generous sized portions and we had lots of leftovers for the next day!
Just ordered their Original Glazed, Strawberry and Berry Filled Donuts and Coffee. It’s to die for and worth the trip. Line is not long, careful because there are cars coming in. Saw this on Man vs Food and I wanted to try it for myself! Will give it another go before leaving. Update: 1500, I ordered some before going back and to be honest, I FREAKING LOVE TEXAS! not the heat though!!
I gave it 5 stars on atmosphere as the employees are very kind and inviting, but its not exactly a place where you sit and eat. Its fast. Its reasonably price. The donuts are superb. Dont be deterred by a long line. It moves quickly. Got to try it if you are in round rock/austin area
I do not live in the Round Rock area but was going to be in the area for a 50th birthday party I was hosting for my husband and about 50 guests. I heard about Round Rock Donuts and realized they made cakes. I asked someone I knew that had had their cakes before if they recommended them and they highly recommend them so I ordered three different cakes (red velvet, Italian cream & carrot cake) for the party. The cakes were ready at the time I needed and because I picked them up at 5:15pm parking was easy and there wasn’t a wait. The cakes were absolutely DELICIOUS! All of the guests throughly enjoyed them and some came back for seconds. The red velvet (which is my favorite type of cake) was the most moist red velvet I’ve ever had. Highly recommend Round Rock Donuts cakes!! Tasty. Fresh. Moist. Great price for something that looked and tasted so good. Thanks for these great birthday cakes, Round Rock Donuts.
Wow! Wow! A first timer here… OMG - what was I waited for?! Been around a few times, saw the lines and thought - it’s just doughnuts… how better will they be than other places. Man - I was wrong!! They are so so good! Fluffy! Tasty! If you have a sweet tooth - don’t just go! Run!!! :) and the staff is so kind and friendly! Would definitely be back!
Very unique-tasting and -looking donuts! The dough has a rich yellow color (something to do with how many egg yolks they use). I’d recommend eating two max in one sitting — they’re seriously good but highly addicting and super sweet. Pro Tip: I’ve gone twice — early Saturday morning and again on Saturday afternoon. Surprisingly, it was much less busy later in the day. No need to wake up early for this one! Also if it’s hot there is no shaded place to sit near the store. Head across the street to gazebo. 10/10 Donuts 🍩
Hands down, THE BEST customer service in Round rock. I waited for 30 minutes in a line at the drive thru and spent $30 on my order. When I got home and checked the order, there were a few items missing. I called to let them know, and they went above and beyond to get me my missing items and also threw in a few more donuts! We’ve been going to RR donuts for 30 years and they never disappoint. Delicious food and amazing business practices! Great job RR donuts!
First time in Round Rock and my daughter said that we needed to go here. Wild atmosphere. Very busy with cars in the drive through and lines in front of two order stations. I was wondering why all of the attention for a donut shop, but the donuts are big and fluffy with a slightly orange colored dough. Unique. We got a dozen donuts, some kolaches and iced coffees. Great experience on a nice, cool Saturday morning. They were also bringing out cupcakes and what appeared to be a wedding cake. There is a bakery inside that makes more than just donuts.
Definitely a must visit if you’re in the area. Lines CAN get long but we parked and walked up and were very surprised with how quick the workers are busting out orders. Every staff member we encountered was friendly and talkative. Made us feel like family. We got some of the traditional flavors to try and every single thing we got was delicious! Definitely worth the visit.
Tried these world famous donuts tonight. I had a iced pumpkin and apple fritter while my son had strawberry and a glazed. They were all very fresh. The service was fast and the employees were all very friendly. I guess this is a walk up and drive thru only as I did not see anyone go inside. I would like to try their ice coffee sometime.
My husband and I took a quick road trip from DFW to Austin & of course had to stop here on the way home. We ordered the giant donut (actually ordered 3 to deliver to friends), some donut holes, kolaches, and a cinnamon roll. Definitely big backs that day, but oh well. Donuts were great! Took us 3 days to eat the giant one, but we did it. I was personally not a fan of the kolaches, but the donuts made up for it. Definitely recommend giving this place a try!
Went to this donut place awhile back because my Fiance swears they are the best ever! Well, he wasn't lying ha I ordered a glazed donut and some pigs in a blanket as they are my favorite and I'm not a big donut person. He ordered the cinnamon roll and all were so delicious! I loved the walk up and how they bring out your order! It was cold and the heaters helped so much! Love the huge selection as well! When we visit again we'll definitely be back! For 5am it was busy but we didn't wait long at all!
If you’re anywhere near Round Rock, this place is a must-stop. The donuts here are cooked just right—light, fluffy, and served hot. The classic glazed donuts have that signature slight orange tint, which I understand may come from a touch of maple flavoring (or something similar), but whatever the secret is, it works. These are easily some of the most delicious donuts you’ll ever taste. What really sets this place apart is that when you order, the donuts are brought out to you in a colorful box, fresh and warm. Service is fast, friendly, and efficient, even when there’s a line—which there often is for a good reason. Parking can be a bit tight right near the shop, so you may need to park a block or two away and walk, but it’s absolutely worth it. Highly recommend stopping by Round Rock Donuts if you’re in Round Rock, Texas. You’ll understand the hype the moment you take your first bite. 🍩
Have heard about Round Rock Donuts from many and finally decided to give them a try! Came here on Saturday and Sunday morning, during a Texas Cold front, and there was definitely a good line of donut-seeking customers! They have a nice display of donuts at the center of their window, with two ordering lines. I ordered the Glazed, Red Velvet, and Blueberry Donuts. The Red Velvet was good, the Blueberry was average, and the Glazed Donut was absolutely amazing! The Glazed Donut was warm, fluffy, and proportionately bigger than a typical donut. Highly recommend and personally would say that is their signature item. Came here the following morning during the Austin-International Half Marathon to get some donuts at 630 in the morning and loved the aesthetics of lights. Definitely made the mood better during the 28 degree weather! Highly recommend!
Round Rock Donuts is an absolute MUST-visit! From the moment you arrive, you can feel the Texas charm. The donuts are always fresh, soft, and perfectly sweet, with that famous golden color you can’t find anywhere else. Every bite tastes homemade and high quality. The staff is friendly, fast, and welcoming, even when the place is busy. It’s family-friendly, kid-approved, and worth the wait every single time. The building itself has a cozy, rustic vibe that makes the experience even better. If you’re visiting Round Rock or live nearby and haven’t tried this place yet, you’re seriously missing out. Hands down the best donuts in Texas! 🍩🔥 I’ll definitely keep coming back!
Wanted to try the Texas-sized Donut and went there early in the morning. Got in line for drive-thru without knowing that it was the drive-thru line and ordered the grazed Texas-sized Donut as well as a coffee. Somehow we got a red velvet donut instead of the coffee I ordered (but that donut flavor happens to be my wife's favorite and she liked it). There is downtown street parking nearby so we parked there and went to walk-up window to order the coffee. The donut was fluffy and good and indeed huge (took us a couple days to finish it; really too much for two people but really wanted to try for the experience). Coffee was also good. Fast, friendly service. Glad to stop by as a side-trip while visiting Austin--it was only a 15-minite drive on I-35 and not a long wait to be served on the day we went.
The donuts are delicious. You have to wait for them. But they hey are always fresh to you. Well worth the wait
Place was crazy busy on a Saturday morning but they have staff with tablets taking orders from the walk up and drive thru lines and it's SO fast and efficient. The world famous original glazed donuts came out warm and melted in our mouths! Also got 2 pumpkin cream cheese cake donuts and they were amazing as well!
Always been a favorite. Round Rock donuts are so great and fresh. Customer service is better than can be expected and even long lines move fast. Can’t stop raving about them.
Was hungry for a donut visiting from Maryland. My son took me here. I chose the Texas sized cinnamon roll and Oh MY! I had too have 1/2, nuked for 30 seconds. It was deliciously sinful... Friendly staff and brought out to us.... There was a Texas sized donut the size of a dinner plate.. Definately on my list when I visit again...
My donuts were amazing! Tasted fresh! I bought the Texas-sized Donut for the first time and of course its for myself but even just cutting a little piece the next day and heating it up for 10 seconds it taste like quality. I need to come here in the morning sometime when everything is made fresh. Suggestion: You guys should do Goldbelly that way I can send all my friends in different parts of Texas and other states Texas-sized donuts as gifts! I would not mind paying $25-30 on Goldbelly to ship it. My dad deserves a donut like this every once in a while but he's 3 and half hours away. Thanks again! Will be back next week to grab one for family member and first week of December to grab one for my dad before heading out.
I've been here several times, always a tasty experience. Had something missing from my order, but they fixed it quick and gave me extra. Great service!
The line was intimidating for us, especially in the rain. However, it moved along very quickly and was totally worth the wait. We got the Texas sized donut for the fun of it, but who knew it would be SO GOOD! Now I know why there's a fuss around this place ❤️. My son also grabbed a bag of sugar cookies that were NOT hurt your teeth sweet, in a really good way.
When we visit Austin this is a must visit at Liberty St. Always get their RR glazed donuts , this time also got their kolaches. Though there is always a long queue of cars the friendly staff takes orders at the car window and the service is super quick. The taste of the donut is unique and the texture very airy. Always you would love to have more, always carry back some for my friends . The donut holes are also amazing. A 'must visit' place again.
Round Rock Donuts has the best donuts we’ve ever had. The plain original is hands-down the best — soft, warm, and full of flavor. Definitely worth the trip every time. Highly recommend!
We had Round Rock Donuts create our wedding cake, and they absolutely nailed it! We went with a more non-traditional design for our four-layer cake, and they brought our vision to life perfectly. We chose carrot cake and Italian cream, and both were so good—but the carrot cake was definitely the standout! We heard from so many guests about how much they loved it. The flavors were rich, moist, and just the right amount of sweet. If you're looking for a bakery that can deliver both beautiful design and amazing flavor, we couldn’t recommend Round Rock Donuts more!
I was introduced to this place by an Austinite. I could not believe the lines when we arrived around 10 am on a Sunday. There were cars going around the block ordering the donuts. After a 12 minute wait we ordered the glaze donuts and few other things. It was definitely worth the wait. The glazed donuts were the best donuts I ever ate. I promise! The latte was amazing too. This is definitely a Round Rock institution. DO NOT LEAVE AUSTIN WITHOUT TRYING THIS PLACE. I strongly recommend this place.
The best glazed donut I’ve ever had! The glaze was perfectly sweet, and donut itself was soft, warm, and absolutely melt-in-your-mouth delicious. The staff is welcoming and friendly. If you’re in the area, it’s definitely worth a visit—one bite, and you’ll understand why this place is so popular!
This place has the best donuts. They’re probably the best I’ve ever had. We were visiting from out of town and my daughter wanted to try them because they’re known for their donuts. We saw the line when we got there and almost left but it moved really quickly. We got a few flavors but I have to say the simple glazed donuts were absolutely amazing. Blueberry cake, limited red velvety, strawberry with sprinkles, Bavarian cream filled chocolate. Can’t go wrong with any of them. Worth a try if you’re visiting the Austin area.
Never had anything like it and probably never will. Round Rock Donuts has cracked some kind of code we were never fully sure was supposed to be written. Donuts that are almost a breadlike consistency doesn’t seem like a good idea but damn is it a fantastic one. Now back to reality, this place is fantastic. They have a good parking lot and drive in option which is what we opted for. We grabbed a regular and jalapeño kolaches, glazed and chocolate glazed donuts, a cinnamon roll, and a white chocolate raspberry latte. Here’s our take: Regular kolache - pretty good kolache, definitely better than most places Jalapeño kolache - very good, took the regular and elevated it a few notches Regular glazed - good, a great way to get a taste for their donuts consistency for the first time Chocolate glazed - an out of body experience, easily the best chocolate glazed we’ve ever had Cinnamon roll - not good, maybe an off day but lacked that cinnamon flavor but glaze was good White chocolate raspberry latte - very good, sweet but not too much to overpower the coffee flavor If you are in the Austin area, or generally south of DFW just do yourself the favor and come down here, you won’t regret it and you will probably write us a thank you letter. Also all that food only cost us around $16 if you needed another reason to fall in love.
Whenever I'm in the Round Rock area, I have to stop by Round Rock Donuts. It's a must! The classic glazed is my go-to--fresh, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweetness. You can really taste the difference. I've tried a few other flavors too, and they've all been great, but nothing beats that original. The place can get busy, but the line moves quickly, and the staff is always friendly. Definitely one of those spots that lives up to the hype.
Great donut! We got 6 donuts to share. We got glazed, maple, chocolate, cream bizmark, strawberry and one other with the cream. I really liked their glazed donut! I like the classic the best. Cream bizmark was similar to boston cream donut. Strawberry was pretty good as well. I think i would go for their glazed donut next time if i go there again or have more people to eat the texas donut together.
LITERALLY, will go out of my way to get these delicious, ALWAYS ALWAYS freshly baked, soft, damn near melt in your mouth decadence. The perfection of orange glaze is its bright, sunny citrus burst that cuts through the richness of the pastry. It's the balance of intense sweetness with zesty acidity that makes it irresistible. The fresh orange aroma instantly lifts the baked good, providing a clean, vibrant finish that makes the dessert feel light and utterly satisfying. Customer service is over the top. Beautiful place Beautiful people ❤️
The donuts and coffee were good. Their service was exceptional. Our children needed the use of a bathroom and even though their sign stated "no public restrooms," hey kindly obliged ro help out. Kind gestures go a long way. Thank you. We will be back next time in Round Rock.
The absolute best donuts in the United States; possibly even on Earth. The dough is out of this world. The cake donuts are good, but it's the classic donuts that are especially remarkable. Unlike most novelty sweets, the Texas-sized donuts here are real crowd-pleasers that make for more than just a cool photo.
Wife saw this on tik tok so it was a must stop on our way home from Wimberley. We got soooo many donuts, two HUGE donuts...one glazed and one chocolate. We also got cinnamon rolls and then a mixture of cake donuts. They were delicious and we are still snacking on them a couple days later. Pieces were very reasonable for the popularity and I'd definitely recommend for those passing through Round Rock.
This was my first experience visiting Round Rock Donuts, in Round Rock, Texas. I loved their yellow dough for the donuts and their glaze is not super sweet. I was not a fan of the Bavarian Cream or Eclair it tasted too greasy. The giant Texas Chocolate glazed donut was great. We got almost two dozen donuts and two coffees for under $50 which you don’t find very many places with this quality. The coffee tastes like hazelnut.
I’ve never had donuts like the ones made at Round Rock Donuts. It’s got a yellowness to it and it’s so soft, warm, and fresh. They have a drive thru but also walk up windows. We got 6 glazed, 3 chocolate and 3 strawberry donuts. We also got a bag of donut holes. The donuts are so good!!!! Come by with your friends or family or bring yourself for a nice sweet treat!
We got an assortment of Donuts today from Round Rock Donuts. Best ever!! I really enjoyed the orange glazed yeast donut. It was so soft and fresh! Also highly recommend the strawberry jelly filled donut. If you like cake donuts try the blueberry cake donut, delicious! For a real treat try one of their specialties the Texas Sized Baked Cinnamon Roll ("Texas-Sized' sweet bread dough topped with white icing and peanuts) YUM!
We are very loyal to our doughnut shop back home. We usually never find a doughnut that is anywhere as good as the ones at home. These glazed doughnuts matched the ones back home. That is saying a lot. They were warm and very good. We ordered a lot of different things though my fav was the glazed. If you are near here stop by, you will not be disappointed. The woman who served us was so nice and helpful. We had an all around great experience.
I was visiting and had heard about RRD and had to give it a try! I bought the TX sized donut home to share with my hubby. While the donut is good, it is a heavy donut! Thick! Not bad at all, just don't expect your typical lighter and fluffier donut. Personally I like the lighter ones better, but it was great to try the famous donut!
We have been coming here for years. Round Rock donuts are always piping hot, fresh, fluffy with the perfect chew, sweet, and delicious; what more can you ask for in a donut.😋🙌🏻👌🏻 We love their drive-thru - very streamlined (only wish they had more of their own space for the drive-thru line instead of the roadway) and staff are friendly and efficient! By the way, just learned that their donuts warm up nicely (at 250 degrees in the oven for several minutes)! However the best is to eat them right away as they melt in your mouth when fresh!🤤
Round Rock Donuts lives up to the hype! The donuts are absolutely delicious—fresh, soft, and full of flavor. With such high demand, expect a line, but it moves quickly thanks to their drive-thru window. I loved the wide variety they offer, from classics to specialty options that all taste amazing. The highlight has to be their famous Texas-size donut, which is roughly equal to 12 regular donuts—perfect for sharing or making a big impression.
Visiting from Delaware, the land of Dunkin Donuts. I was very excited to get a good donut from an independent shop. It was well worth the drive and wait. I came on a Saturday morning and it was packed! Cars lined up down the street and around the block. I decided to order at the window. Customer service was fast & friendly. The donuts was super fresh! I would highly recommend it and it is worth the hype.
I loved the donuts here. I bought 24 assorted donuts to my son's birthday party in the school and everyone enjoyed. They have a drive through service and a parking lot for walk-ins. Staff is welcoming and friendly as friendly can be. You can see the area where they have the donuts and everything looks clean and organized. Prices are descent.
I’ve been coming here my whole life, every time we go visit my grandparents. Easily the best donuts I’ve ever had. Do not walk away without asking for a fresh plain glazed. They seriously melt in your mouth! Don’t be scared of the long line (that’s how you know they’re so good anyway), they’ve really got their system down & it moves quickly. To top it all off, you can’t beat the price. It’s just over $12/dozen. Back where I live now, I recently paid $16 for a half dozen which was just so ridiculous & the donuts weren’t anywhere near as good as Round Rock’s. These are a must if you’re in the area!
Amazing as always! You simply cannot go wrong with RR donuts. It’s a local institution and their reputation is stellar! Go here you will not be disappointed. All their options are amazing but there is nothing better than a warm glazed donut from this place…..pure heaven. I never miss an opportunity or 2 or 3 to stop in when I am visiting my parents.
Terrific donuts! The drive thru line is always long, so i just use the window to order. It's so much faster. It takes about 3 minutes vs 20 to get my order. Ordering the really huge donut is still on my bucket list, but you just can't beat a fresh, hot box of glazed.
Absolutely the best donut I’ve had! Service was fantastic, she was personable and so friendly! 10 stars for customer service and price! If you are near here do yourself a favor and stop in! The glazed donut cannot be beat. Cinnamon roll, red velvet cake, blueberry cake are also fantastic. Kudos to you ma’am!
I wonder if Dell’s founder grew up eating at this place? This shop is truly amazing! The donuts are soft and yellow on the inside, without too much flour, yet still wonderfully chewy. The sweetness is just right, so it’s not overwhelming. The most special item is the so-called Texas donut—it’s bigger than our faces and could easily be used as a birthday cake! You can choose to have half chocolate and half original flavor. Their iced coffee is also fantastic. Donuts paired with black iced coffee are an absolutely perfect match. I have to give special praise to the lady working at the shop—she’s incredibly patient, gentle, and polite. As a first-time visitor, I felt no pressure at all and was made to want to come back. She has a great memory; even after standing in line twice, she still remembered my name. Chatting with her in a humorous way gave me a deep sense of Texas hospitality. It’s a pity I don’t live nearby; otherwise, I would definitely come here for donuts every chance I get.
Came here on a weekend morning and wow the crowd outside was huge and the line of cars daunting. We almost turned around since we didn't want to wait in line but that would've been a huge mistake. Once we got in line, we probably ordered within 5 minutes and then our donut came out in another 2 or so, it wasn't bad at all, just don't wait in the ridiculous drive through, that was surely a 30+ minute long line. The donut was $12.99 and huge, it was doughy, and quite flavorful, don't skip out on the texas size donuts, these things are no joke and not just some Instagram gimmick.
Let this review confirm: This is going to be ONE of the best if not THE best donut you will have in your entire life. The fluffiness the icing the fresh hotness!!!! Delectable!!! They haven’t missed on deliciousness YET! And I’m a native been coming here since a kid. Amazing donuts please don’t ever change
I grabbed half a dozen of their world-famous glazed donuts on a Friday afternoon after working out of the Round Rock Public Library, and it was the perfect treat to close out the week. These donuts really are worth the reputation—huge, fluffy, with that golden-yellow color that makes them look as good as they taste. The glaze is just the right amount, letting the warm, pillowy donut shine without being too sweet. They were still fresh when I got them in the afternoon, and I ended up eating one in the car before even leaving the parking lot (no regrets). The staff was friendly, the line was quick, and the vibe feels like classic Texas—nothing fancy, just done right. It’s easy to see why people say you can’t come to Round Rock without stopping here. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, these donuts make your day better. Can’t wait to try the Texas-sized one next time!
First time visiting this joint. While on vacation we heard of this donut place and wanted to try it out. They would have received a 5 star but they nest up on two of our donuts. The strawberry iced was a filled and our lemon filled was cream filled. Minus the mix up, the donuts were indeed the best. Very busy but worth the wait and very friendly staff.
We visited the world-famous Round Rock Donuts early in the morning, and even at that time there was a long line at the drive-thru, which shows just how popular this place is. Despite the wait, the service moved smoothly, and we were able to get our donuts without much delay. The moment we tried them, we understood why people line up every day the donuts were fresh, warm, and absolutely delicious. The signature yellow-hued donut had the perfect texture and flavor, making the visit completely worth it. Overall, we really enjoyed the experience. Even with the long queue, Round Rock Donuts lived up to its reputation and delivered a memorable and tasty treat
Great donuts! Good service. Coffee not very strong-- I got the raspberry mocha latte and the flavor wasn't particularly striking. Really liked the marshmallow like filling in the Bismarck donut and the normal glazed donut. The maple and strawberry on top of the glaze was too sweet for me. Gave you a cute box with their logo
Being from the southeast, its hard to find a donut because everything is compared to Krispy Kreme. Theres definitely no shortage of donut shops in Texas. Thus one was just like almost everyone I've been to. Nothing just stands out as wow. Great donut, nice service and friendly people.
Went on a Sunday ordered the BIG donut - half chocolate, half glazed. Paid around $12 . The drive thru line was out the wazoo but we parked and ordered at the window and was serviced pretty quick. The glazed half was so good, I wasn’t a fan of the chocolate half but my kid enjoyed it.
I saw this place online and figured we should add this stop to our trip so we can try a Texas-sized donut. We actually ordered two of them - one chocolate and one glazed. The place was obviously a tourist attraction because it was hopping. There is a drive thru and 2 walk-up windows to place your order. I walked up and was greeted with a nice outdoor heater, which was great because it was in the 30's outside and windy. I looked in the window while waiting in the quick moving line to place my order. The cashier was polite, and my order was delivered to me by name. Regarding the donuts, they did not taste like a doughnut at all. I would say it tasted more like bread with frosting on top. We thought the glazed one was dried out, but the chocolate one was okay. Now, I can say, I've had a Texas-sized donut but I personally would not recommend it to others unless you just want the experience too. The taste of it is something that I wouldn't want to necessarily try again and won't be craving anytime soon. I'm glad the staff was friendly.
It was nothing like I remembered, and I was quite disappointed. When my husband and I visit Texas, we always make a special trip to Round Rock for the famous Round Rock donuts. Unfortunately, I hate to say that we won't be coming back. Please consider returning to the regular-sized donuts; the ones we had were also very dry. On a positive note, the vegan shop down the road had a better selection. better quality of donuts.🤷🏼♀️
As I heard a lot that it’s a very famous donuts place in Round Rock, friendly and attentive ladies. Wanted to taste Cinnabons here, but honestly, I tried much better ones. I don’t like that i tasted too much yeast and dough wasn’t cooked well, not fluffy, not enough cinnamon flavour as well, that was disappointing for me. Calaches were fine. Unfortunately also some of bakery types were empty. Not a luck for me.
These donuts used to be awesome but the last few times I've been there I haven't really been able to finish one when I used to eat like four of those things They wouldjust melt in your mouth they have changed them they don't put as much sugar on the outside they don't dip them and drench them in The frosty like sugar they used to . That's what made them stand out and not the size of them not the color of them but the actual taste of them. First I thought it was because I had gone to the location in Cedar Park and then the last two times I went to round rock and it was the same thing. When something's perfect why messit up if you wanna save on money then raise the price a little bit because I guarantee people would keep coming back But if you don't fix this problem you sure won't be a world famous anymore! So I guess I'll have to go to Krispy Kreme Because they're donuts might be smaller but at least they have lots of Frosting on them and are also warm. Yours are still warm and gooey but lacking in the yummy taste
Came here around 10am on a Friday and was in and out in less than 10 minutes. Not really sure how this place gets so many 5 star reviews. I was in town for a work trip and was told this donut place is better than any in Dallas. It is not. I don’t know how to explain these donuts. They’re not fluffy, they’re a little heavier and flatter. Each one is glazed and then frosted. Parking is terrible. If you go, just order at the window, the drive thru line wraps around the street. They sell singles ($1.19) or a dozen ($12). No half dozen. You order at the window, give them your name, pay, and someone will come out with your order when ready.
Maybe donuts are different in the region but apple fritters in Michigan are not flat. Very little apple as well. It was an over glazed mini pancack. Didn't even eat it. We tried 4 different things and all were not great. Second star is because a one star donut doesn't exist. Staff was great and atmosphere was pleasant though.
Ive been here multiple times over the years and I come out of my way from San antonio, yesterday I bought a few things and realized this morning I didnt have any strawberry in or on my fruit kolache, I got 1 blueberry and 1 strawberry as well as a couple of donuts and some sausage kolaches this was a first like they gave me a fruitless kolache. Unless im blind it did not taste anything like strawberry. At least with the blueberry I had some fruit on it.
Heard great things about this place, so drove 30 minutes to get to it, and stood in line for 20 minutes to order. I ordered 7 donuts and they gave me 4. Didn't realize 'til I got home and opened the box because, you know, I expect a donut store to do its job: putting donuts in a box. Don't go out of your way to come to this donut place; Shipley's has a way shorter wait time and is better at basic math.
Please hire people who can communicate. This has been the only donut shop I buy from since moving to Texas in 2000. I have introduced many people to your wonderfully delicious donuts! Unfortunately, today I had a horrible experience. I wanted to go through the drive-through, and I turned on your street from the CD Fulkes side. There was already a line in the driveway with the last car right at the street. I pulled over to the side as far as I could, and turned on my left blinker. Not too long after that, a car came from the other direction and turned on her right blinker. Eventually, several cars lined up behind her. Again, that car and the ones behind her were coming from the downtown side. When the cars in the driveway moved forward and there was room for another car to pull in, I started to pull in. The girl who was working the line stepped out into the street and told me to go around and get in the back of the line. I rolled down my window and explained that I was next after the car that had just moved up. She said: you have to go around to the back of the line. I said again: I was here next after the car that just pulled up. Again, she told me to go to the back of the line. I pointed to the car coming from the other direction and said: that lady is waiting for me because I was here before her. At that point, I just started to pull in. The girl said: next time go to the end of the line. I just looked at her and shook my head and said: you have no idea what you’re talking about. If you don’t want us to turn in from the direction I came from, then there needs to be a sign. Perhaps there is a sign, but I didn’t see it. But at the very least, train your employees to have better customer service and to listen to your customers and what they’re trying to say.
RR Donuts has great food, which is why I come back often. However, I strongly recommend double-checking your order before leaving. After waiting about 30 minutes in line, I was looking forward to enjoying a kolache and donut holes, only to get home and find just three donut holes and no kolache. The order had been confirmed at the window, so it was very disappointing. Experiences like this take away from the quality of the food and make the visit far less enjoyable.
