Overview The new kid on the block (actually WAL Market). It's nice to see new shops opening doors in Sacramento. My experience here was good, they have been only open for 4 days so far. They offer coffee, tea and food. I'll be back! What I ordered ☕️ Latte Pros Clean space, immediately in front of you once you enter the WAL market. The menu/offering is straightforward and simple! The latte I had was delicious and hot enough (even though I prefer hotter than most). The two employees that helped were very friendly. Cons No wall outlets for your computer unfortunately :( Tips 1. Avoid the lunch time rush (if you don't want to wait), this is in the WAL Public Market. 2. The "Hand Pie" under food is only served until 1PM. 3. It's a shared space, so if you want quiet or music - bring your own headphones.
I had a great time here. Line was really long but coffee came out promptly. Their espresso is one of the best I've tasted in the area filled with specialty coffee. They serve Faria Bakery goods, got the almond croissant and it was delicious. Highly recommend! No indoor seating atm though.
Great atmosphere, somewhere to study ,very kind employees, kid friendly, quiet and the air feels really good, just a quiet place to be stress free, pastries and coffee were very delicious as well so I highly recommend this great establishment because of the things that are sold here and the best part of being here was there customer service
Great strong coffee and a delicious breakfast sandwich, super cheesy, moist, and full of flavor. The horchata cold brew was also a hit; it tastes just like Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal milk. Definitely worth a stop!
The “Hooked Up Bagel” was phenomenal; probably the best lox bagel I’ve ever had! I also got a cappuccino with lavender syrup which was quite good. The texture of the foam could have been a little better, but it was lightyears ahead of cappuccinos at most coffee shops. I’ll absolutely come here again!
Reddit raves about the breakfast sandwiches here, so I gave them a try. Can confirm that the bacon one has good flavor and is so soft. What really sold me though is how friendly the staff were.
The best coffee I’ve had in Sacramento. Great quality. It’s a little too busy/ noisy for my taste so I just take it to go. :) but if you’re with a friend it’s a great place to stop and chat.
Good food, great tea selection, good coffee. Good times. It was really busy and hard to find a place to sit. The line was out the door.
My go-to in town coffee roasters! The Horchata cold brew is delicious, the bagels and sandwiches are tasty and filling!
I had to give a shout out to this special place for the warm and welcoming hospitality, clean, beautiful decor, amazing coffees and delicious snacks we all enjoyed following our kiddos civil ceremony across the street at the Quitman Courthouse! The owner was so accommodating of our party of 7 and the space was so pretty on a dreary winter day! We were so blessed to find this magical little spot and would highly recommend for a few minutes of peace and amazing niblets and coffee! Thank you Camelia Coffee for being the cherry on top!
Camellia Coffee hits all the right notes for downtown Sacramento. Bright, welcoming, and buzzy in the best way, it is the kind of café where you can settle in and actually enjoy your coffee. I had their flat white and loved it, silky microfoam with that paint-like texture and a clean, balanced shot underneath. They use organic barista milk that steams beautifully, and the roast sits in that light to medium sweet spot, smooth with gentle fruit and a little cocoa on the finish. The baristas are friendly and precise, latte art on point, and the whole space feels thoughtful without trying too hard. If you are a flat white person, this is your spot. I will happily come back for another round.
Hands down one of the best breakfast sandwiches I’ve ever had. The coffee was just okay, I’m not sure that they add much syrup, and I’d love to see them have more flavor options. There were only three choices. Overall highly recommend for breakfast and a simple coffee.
Really tasty sandwiches and some well made coffee beverages. Great place for breakfast.
They roast AMAZING coffee here, seriously one of the best out of all I’ve tried!!! Something about it. Their espresso is so deep so smooth so you can’t go wrong with a latte or any espresso drinks. The cold brew is a wonderful choice during hot weather. It’s not acidic at all, chocolatey and nutty just the best. Food options are so good too. I always get the Veggie Egg Sandwich. The combination is just chef’s kiss! Also (I don’t know how long this deal lasts) I went on Wich Wednesday and I got a sandwich and cold brew for the price of normally just a sandwich! Such a steal!! The staff are so friendly and helpful. I asked questions about bring home coffee choices and a staff member made a spot on recommendation. He also offered to grind the whole beans for me. Everyone’s just wonderful and made the experience 1000 times better. The environment is very clean. I love the tall ceilings and the artful decor. Love this place!! They also recently added a claw machine where you can win prizes. It’s so fun!! I hope they keep it forever.✨
Given the harshness of the world, the seemingly inevitable economic and ecological collapse, and the propagation of endless conspiracy theories in an incredibly divisive country, finding a charming cup of coffee served by nice people in a good atmosphere feels almost spiritual. Every single member on staff here is so kind and giving. It makes you want to go out and figure out how you, too, can give back to your community. It's just coffee. But also it's so much more. The interior is beyond beautiful and cute. The coffee is delicious. Very positive vibes! 20/10 would Camellia again!
This place is so fun. On the weekends, the lines can be lengthy but so worth the wait. If there is a line, it’s a good sign. The breakfast sandwiches NEVER miss and neither do the coffees or staff. Everyone here is so kind and attentive. Lots of seating inside and outside. I will be back and telling my friends! The sausage and egg breakfast sandwich is served with hot sauce and it is other worldly. So good.
My favorite coffee shop in Sacramento for sure! Definitely helps that they have the BEST breakfast sandwich I've had too! I enjoy coming here for their horchata cold brew with oat milk. I've had it so many times now, that I believe I've found the perfect fit. The horchata cold brew is already pre-made, and for my taste buds, it is a bit too sweet. My perfect combo is 3/4 of the horchata cold brew, and the rest of the 1/4 to be filled with their standard cold brew. Definitely cuts the sweetness out! Now comes the breakfast sandwich. It does take awhile for them to make it (especially if they are busy), but it is always SO good. The sandwich comes with a two-egg omelette, cheese, scallions, cholula spread, on brioche bun with your choice of protein (bacon, sausage, or veggie). I've had them both and I've them both in one! Only downside is there is limited indoor seating, and there are no outlets available. Otherwise, this is my go-to spot. Every time I'm in Sacramento, this is a MUST for the morning or a good afternoon pick me up for the drive back down to the bay. Street parking only. See you soon Camellia's!
The horchata cold brew is worth the price of admission, and the breakfast sandwiches are to die for!
I tried the horchata cold brew and a regular coffee with one of their pastries. The cold brew was super yummy! Lots of cinnamon flavor. The coffee isn't anything unique, just coffee. The service is pretty fast and friendly. Lots of people come and dine in, others like myself take theirs to go.
Camellia Coffee Roasters has officially ruined all other cold brews for me—their Horchata Cold Brew is hands-down the best I’ve ever had! Perfectly balanced, creamy, and just the right amount of sweetness. I also grabbed a bagel sandwich, and wow… the sriracha aioli took it to another level—10/10, no notes. Between the top-tier coffee and incredible food, this spot is an easy favorite. I’ll definitely be back!
On another adventures of Rudy’s Eats brings us to this awesome coffee shop located in the charming midtown area! I stopped in early in the morning to grab my staff some of their delicious breakfast sandwiches. I ordered the breakfast sandwich with bacon and avocado. I was blown away on how amazing the sandwiches were. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the texture was fluffy which I loved. I also really liked how they added scallions and this awesome cheese matched with their crispy bacon that took the sandwich to another whole level! With all the combinations of different flavors and culinary technique this is easily one of the best breakfast sandwiches I ever had in my life and reminds me of some places that I tried in Los Angeles but this sandwich was way better. My staff loved the sandwiches and I will definitely be back to grab breakfast every single week since I’m so close to the coffee shop.

Great spot for breakfast! I visited with coworkers, and the atmosphere was lovely. Parking was easy. I had a Matcha latte and a sausage sandwich. The sandwich was excellent—flaky and buttery bread. The Matcha was a bit too sweet for my taste, but overall, everything was delicious. I’ll likely return.
Best Coffee - best people - best prices. I don’t know the owners or anyone working there but I love it! The bagels are cheap and delicious, coffee is great and everyone is so nice!
Delicious matcha latte, complete with latte art on my to go cup. Scones was delicious, atmosphere wonderful with that exposed brick wall industrial vibe.

The best coffee I’ve had in Sacramento. Great quality. It’s a little too busy/ noisy for my taste so I just take it to go. :) but if you’re with a friend it’s a great place to stop and chat.
Great Espresso!! We originally went for the omlette sandwiches but they were out of the Brioche buns. 😥 But we got the hand pie's instead and we were not disappointed! 😃I had the Apple which was lovely. The crust was very, very good and the Apple filling was just like my Grandma used to make. None of the canned pie filling here. This was made from scratch. My Son had the cheddar jalapeno sausage and he loved it! ❤️ We also had an Espresso and a Cappuccino - they were both divine. They just opened 4 months ago so they're working out some of the kinks but they're lovely fellows and we're definitely going back!!!
Came in on a Wednesday morning We got a iced horchata latte with oat milk, a bacon breakfast sandwich, and a horchata croissant. LOVED the horchata latte, absolutely a must get! The breakfast sandwich was really good although they were very heavy handed with the pepper (you can see dark spots on the sandwich from all the pepper). Unfortunately I didn’t care for the horchata croissant. It had a hard crunchy exterior with a thick cinnamon inside. It was overly sweet for me and I prefer a softer croissant. I’ll stick to the horchata latte and the breakfast sandwich. Definitely will be back!
Such a lovely café! Even though the latte and cappuccino were fairly standard, the bacon and sausage sandwiches were absolutely fantastic — easily my favorite part of the visit. The Danish was fine but not a standout. I liked that they sell their own roasted coffee beans too, so you can bring some home. The shop is big, airy, and offers plenty of seating, both inside and outside. Plus, they do babyccinos, which is super cute if you have kids. It gets busy quickly, so plan ahead — and don’t worry about parking because they have both street and private spaces. Definitely recommend stopping by for a tasty sandwich and a comfy hangout!
Cool atmosphere, seating inside and out. I ordered a iced mocha with lavender. I received a hot one- no big deal, they were nice enough to let me keep that one and remade it. The remake was a iced lavender latte. Haha the lavender latte was okay. Once the mocha was cold the next day, I loved that one more! I also got a bagel with scallion dill cream cheese. The bagel was a little burned, not enough cream cheese is on the bagel and there's not enough scallion to be named 'scallion dill'.. it was more dill. The staff was friendly. It was around $12 for the mocha and bagel w/ cream cheese.
The breakfast sandwich is my favorite in the whole world. love the interior inside just wish there were more comfortable seating for those that would like to study.
Love the coffee, very well brewed. Good food. It’s always busy and usually there are no open tables. Sometimes it’s tricky to find parking. Great employees.
This coffee shop is very cute and bright with lots of seating. Inside there’s seating on tiled benches and chairs, outside there is seating in wooden benches covered under the patio roof. Great place to sit at if the weather is nice out! The inside is clean, cutely decorated, and has a modern aesthetic but not minimalist. When it’s not busy it’s very chill and would be a great place to do homework or work. This place does get very busy! The staff are nice, mostly when it’s not busy understandably, I’ve been here a couple times and haven’t had a bad interaction. Recently I came and got their breakfast sandwich with sausage and an iced matcha with oat milk and I added honey. The sandwich was super tasty, the eggs were cooked perfectly and was very filling. I loved the cheese and scallions they added to it. The matcha was unfortunately disappointing. I had gotten it once before and I liked it but this recent time it had a watered down flavor and was not sweet at all despite the barista telling me the matcha it already sweetened and asking if I was sure I wanted to add honey to it. I’d come back to try a coffee or tea drink instead. The prices seem standard for other coffee shops/cafes.

Went here for the first time with my friend on a Sunday morning at 11am! There was a line, but still plenty of open seating inside. There is also a patio area with seating outdoors and easy parking on the street. We got the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich and the sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich - they were both delicious. You can see from the picture people post, the eggs are so fluffy and cooked perfectly! The sandwich is flavorful and not too dense, perfect for breakfast :) I also got an iced chai tea which was delicious and a chive scone, also delicious. Prices aren't too expensive. The wait for food took a bit, which I was not expecting since it seemed like more of a grab and go place. We had an appointment after so I would just be cognizant of that in the future!

Tucked away in the WAL Pubic Market is a decent little coffee shop. They roast their own beans but don't offer pour over. They have espresso but it's a blend instead of single origin. Good service. Good lattes. Not worth seeking out if you're a coffee enthusiast but gets the job done for most folks.
I’m not sure if it was just my matcha, but it wasn’t good at all. The sandwich was okay, but considering the long wait and line, I wasn’t impressed.

Stopped in to buy beans. There was a very long line. Most of the beans for sale had been roasted over two weeks ago -- most likely already stale. I asked if I needed to wait in the 30 minute line to buy the beans, and the barista lady was very rude to tell me that I have to. I won't be going back due to their inability to manage their peak demand time and the freshness of their beans for sale.
Good food. They need more people on a register. Only 1 person while it’s busy? Come on Also out of bagels by I don’t know when. We arrived at 11:30am No big sign to say there was no bagel. So waited in line for additional 30mins to find that out.
I’ve had drinks here twice. Last winter I got a seasonal hot latte which was pretty good. Since then I’ve heard a lot about their breakfast sandwiches and decided to give it a try. I’ve also heard about their horchata cold brew so I gave that a shot as well. It was just milky and not really great in flavor, I was over it after the first sip. For the breakfast menus - I don’t understand why it’s difficult to have non-pork options. At first, since I’m from NYC, I thought maybe it was just uncommon to have turkey bacon or turkey sausage / or really any non pork options for meat. After a year out in California, I completely disagree. It just feels like it’s not inclusive to not have a single meat option that’s not pork. This most recent visit, the meat options were pork bacon, pork sausage, OR a season shredded pork. Aside from religious reasons, there are a lot of reasons people do not eat pork… Anyways, I did give their vegetarian sandwich a try. It was pretty mediocre and I felt like it lacked in salt/flavor. It lacked so much that the only flavor that came through was the flavor of plain avocado lol The place is actually really cute and it has a great atmosphere otherwise. They have a cute claw machine as well. I think the place has room for improvement for sure.
