Opinions de Milka Coffee Roasters Sacramento
I just moved into town, and I pass by this shop daily now. I tried the seasonal Apple Hill Iced Oatmilk Latte and it's pretty good. I like that they make their syrups in-house and they aren't terribly sweet (I don't typically put sugar in my coffee). I also love a simple menu, and it is indeed very simple with 2-3 seasonal crafted drinks. The atmosphere is cute and a handful of seating from what I saw while waiting for my drink. I was planning on trying a pastry, but I didn't see anything that caught my eye with the presentation. I was surprised to see that the tax and tip were included in my drink! I thought the barista at the register closed the charge but they informed me. There is a wheelchair lift that is accessible via the patio and I waited less than five minutes (Sunday morning around 11am). The team was friendly and kind, and greeted me upon arrival. It appears there is wifi and dog-friendly from the looks of it!
The interior vibe here is really nice. There’s plenty of seating inside and out. Parking it a bit tough since there’s a bit of construction on the cross street. The matcha was decent. I wouldn’t say it’s impressive but it wasn’t bad. My fiancés latter was really tasty and smooth. He really enjoyed it.
Neat, clean and cozy. I love that pricing includes tax + tip already. Great place to work (plugs!) or chat w a friend. Excellent cheddar scone. Fans of sweet drinks will like the maple coffee w soda. I'll go for something more basic next time. Forgot to mention: Great music!
What a fantastic spot! From the moment you walk in, it feels like stepping into a cozy, welcoming home. The atmosphere is pristine and peaceful. I tried the specialty hot chai latte with oat milk, and it was absolutely delightful. There are plenty of outlets for your devices, and the Wi-Fi is reliable. The baristas are not only friendly but also highly skilled.
What a VIBE! This place is a very simple and beautiful space. It seems like a large house converted to business/retail which I love! The window light in the morning is wonderful, I love the colors, the staff is incredibly friendly and the overall feeling in inside is wonderfully warm. I see a lot of people working remotely from a room to the side and it honestly looks like a great place to do that. The patio area is lovely as well. But the real standout here is actually the Latte. I had the Apple Hill Latte and it was perfect. This is one of those lattes that you would be hard pressed to find it anywhere else and you feel yourself craving. 10/10 will be back to try more!
I enjoyed the service and coffee was priced well (tax and tip included in the listed price) I was here Saturday morning and it gets pretty busy
Came here on a Saturday and it wasn’t too busy. I appreciate that the prices include tax and tip. Had a great iced flash brew. We also tried the tie died iced tea which was very refreshing. Bacon scone was better than the pineapple one. Plenty of mixed indoor and outdoor seating. Gender neutral bathroom.
Cozy, nice, and quite space for chatting with friends, working, or just having a coffee. I had their iced mocha and it was great. Their baristas are very friendly and in general they are very kind and nice. There is a beautiful view from the window. I really enjoyed spending a few hours there on a week day and I will go back again.
7am go to spot! I ordered the specialty Maple latte with oak milk and it was delicious! Plenty of spots to plug in and wifi is available. Be aware of the 1 hour parking.
Beautiful coffee shop in an old Victorian home. Spacious rooms and patio with plenty of seating and free WiFi. General selection of espresso drinks with a few select house flavor lattes. Chatted up the friendly owner who shared his background and how they came up with the Maple Latte. Lots of people meeting or working throughout the day, which creates a great social environment. It's a beautiful new spot that I highly recommend checking out.
Adorable little coffee shop renovated from one of those historic Victorian Midtown homes. Lots of seating and outlets inside with good wifi. The coffee itself is great. Tried their maple latte (hot) and lavender latte (cold). The milk foam texture is done perfectly. The espresso is not burnt and tastes really good. For specialty coffee, this is a great local Cafe to read a book or study in. Expect third wave coffee prices! It includes tip and tax.
Beautiful coffee place! I loved the vibe of this place. The baristas are friendly and answered all my questions patiently. The store is inside an apartment and esthetically set. There is lot of indoor and outdoor space to sit and work. The quality of coffee is excellent. They have options of wet and dry cappuccino too. There are seasonal drinks, signature drinks and non-caffeinated drinks too. Definitely worth trying if you are in the neighborhood
Fantastic experience visiting Milka for the first time. I was greeted immediately by a friendly barista who was hard at work on another guest’s lavender latte. I ordered the flat white to appease my tastebuds, and was no less then 2 minutes later blessed with what I can describe as none other than a perfectly ground, steamed, and poured beverage that more than adequately satiated my needs. I did not catch the name of the young lady who served and made my order but after the experience I had here, I will absolutely be returning in the near future
Milka Coffee Roasters has a really great vibe—set inside a charming old Victorian, it feels cozy and unique. The service was super friendly and my iced mocha was pretty solid. Prices are also really straightforward since everything’s included (tax, tip, milk choices), which I definitely appreciate. That said, the space is all stairs, so it’s not stroller or wheelchair friendly, which makes it tough for some people. Also, the pastry situation could use some work—the presentation isn’t great, with pastries kept in a glass bin up front that felt like staff were just rummaging through. Overall, it’s a nice spot to grab a coffee and hang out if you’re able.
Milka Coffee Roasters is serving up charm, vibes, and a healthy dose of cozy quirkiness. Set inside an old Victorian home, this spot is basically grandma’s house—but make it Instagrammable. It’s cozy, warm, and just the right amount of awkward, with the house’s original layout. Their menu keeps things refreshingly simple—think coffee classics and quirky house specialties that dare you to try every single one. But fair warning: their drinks are a bit of a wild card. When they’re good, they’re “text your friends immediately” good, easily earning four enthusiastic stars. :star::star::star::star:️ But on those off days? Oof, it’s rough. Half-star ratings aren’t a thing, so here we are. Big props for including tax in the prices—because who wants to math before you have had your coffee??? Not me. The staff is super friendly, further boosting Milka’s cozy charm. Plus, they offer curbside pickup, proving they truly understand how I not only want to stay in my pajamas but also not talk to people. Bonus points: Their coffee beans are sustainably farmed and fair pay focused, from grower to barista, so you can caffeinate guilt-free.
Love local places and this does succeed in having its own vibe. First time here gave a good impression for being a nice starter. The staff is very helpful and the location in a nice looking neighborhood. Find this place, even with mobile mapping, is not easy. There is no good signage that make this building (an old and lovely house/mansion in the day) pop out from the other houses in the neighborhood. Had to drive around twice to locate it. Like there there is outdoor seeing ground level. The main entrance is up a set of brick stairs to the second floor. The interior has a wonderful feel of an old house in structure, down to the antique fireplace. The crown molding looks original eve if the white painted walls are not well finished paint near them. The interior furnishings are minimal and have the feel of low budget. But that is also part of its charm. As this business grows, adding some old items, paintings on the wall, and some plants would add to the overall charm of this place. Additionally, far more seating is needed. There is not nearly enough for the people coming in today. The music finally just kicked in and it is nice jazzy cool vibe that doesn’t distract from the people chatting and on computers. I will return as it is nice to find a non-traditional coffee shop and feel this cozy.
This place has such a great vibe, super cool hangout space with lots of character. The service was great as well. That said, my brewed coffee tasted like water, truly bad especially for Sac standards. My husband got a chai latte which was barely warm - and he picked it up straight from the bar and drank right away. Too bad, loved the ambiance not a fan of the drinks.
The drinks here have always been reliably good and the baristas friendly, but what used to be a cozy space to meet with friends is now a cold, minimalist-modern tragedy. Really disappointed with the change in cafe furniture, which I can only assume was designed to get people to spend less time here by being sparse and uncomfortable. Weird, anti-social, profit driven choice. Wont be back.
I really really want to like this place and would've made it a go to spot (may still give it another try) but the drinks are just not it and I can see from the other reviews I'm not alone in thinking so. I had a cortado, and not only did it taste burnt, lukewarm, and watered down, it was $7.50? For a 4-6oz drink? I'm not one to go corporate but I can get the same thing, way better tasting, at Starbucks for $5.75. The vibe, staff, and aesthetic are 10/10 but the 1/10 expensive drinks are a no go. If it costs that much it should at least taste good. Really bummed and hope they improve their recipes/processes.
I am really sad to say that this place has gone very downhill. I got a sparkling mocha today and asked for lighter ice and a four-here cup, and then got a full cup of ice in a to-go cup, so much so that when they transferred it back to the four-here cup, it was only about two-thirds full. I then also ordered a flash-brew coffee, otherwise known as a cold brew, and it was very disappointingly watery and muted, very different to how I have had it in the past. Really sad to see a place like this go downhill. This was definitely one of my favorites, and the quality used to be great. I still really love the space and the no tipping policy, but the price inflation plus the quality decrease means this may be one of my last times here.
