First time coming here - I’d definitely come back! The flavor is there for sure. Jumbo wings are a must have - best wings we’ve had in a while. The meatballs were soo good, that was my favorite. No picture unfortunately since I wasted no time eating it. Sicilian Little Italy - very bready, think deep dish. I liked it, my family wasn’t crazy cause it was too much bread. I guess it would have been better if there was maybe a little more sauce but at the end of the day, I’d assume you order the Sicilian if you want more bread. Da Bronx - this was my family’s favorite. Very flavorful meaty pizza. Don Gio - flavorful, we were happy we went with the thin crust. I think it balances all the flavors well. New York Size pizza - this is just a cheese pizza basically which is great for the kids. Even we enjoyed it.
The food was amazing. I can't wait to come back and get more pizza!!!! Customer service was okay wish it was better. But overall loved it.
It was fire. Thin crust was bomb. I could tell it's a NY style pizza. Beer service was a plus! Local brews
I'm rather upset with myself that I've never come here sooner. I've lived in Sac for over 25 years and never came here before the other day. I ended up speaking with who I can only assume was the owner/manager, and you can tell how much pride he takes in his product. He got to talking about the pepperoni and how you can tell the difference between his and other place's pepperoni (you really can tell a difference, there's a better texture and flavor to it than your typical chain spots) We ended up getting their gorgonzola pizza and added pepperoni to it, and it was amazing. A flavor combo I've never had on a pie before and will order again. The other day we got the Brooklyn bomber I think it was, and it was super tasty as well,I particularly like the crust, crispy and slightly sweet.
Stopped in to grab a pie. Nice counter service restaurant. Wasn't too busy for a late lunch. Pizza was flavorful and had a good amount of toppings. Would definitely come back if in the area.
The Pizza crust addicting so delicious! I will come back soon.
I ordered the very large rectangular Sicilian pizza. It was so delicious! It was also very thick. It included great pizza sauce, plus pesto sauce, fresh basil, and creamy fresh ricotta cheese. I also added pepperoni to it. I will definitely order it again!
This place is fantastic. We came here based on location from our hotel. My family was hungry from a soccer tournament and we needed something close and fast. Not only was the pizza top 5 I have never had, but they were timely and very friendly. I like supporting good, local restaurants like this place did not disappoint!
I’m the NO Parmesan girl!!! You all rock!!! This pizza is the best. Perfect thin crust with light crunch. Excellent sauce. Get extra! Friendly service. Tip tip tip. Don’t be cheap. Tip this family, they are doing it right! Thank you. I’m so glad i came back 😊 If you don’t like Parmesan, just say no Parmesan please 😁
Not from here, really wanted pizza tonight. Googled pizza close to me and this place popped up. Went in asked the guy what he recommended and he said Da Bonx Bomber pizza. And he did not disappoint!!! This pizza was fire!!!! So good. I aldo got the jumbo wings, fire!!!!! So good. The place was clean, service was awesome, guys working were awesome and the food came out fast. I noticed everyone they served, they did it with respect!!! I will be back every time im in town now. Thank you guys!!!!!!
Love this place, moved to Tahoe park around 6 months ago and this is the place I keep coming back to. Food quality is top notch and they have a good tap beer selection. The seating is has a very open layout without booths compared to some places. It feels a bit empty but it just adds to the character. Service guys are really cool and make you feel comfortable. Great job Giovanni’s you found a happy repeat customer!
Do not skip this place! The best pizza pie i have ever had in sacramento! So amazingly good! My new favorite pizza spot.
Great food. I came for the Calzones, Stromboli, and Stuffita. All amazing! They do not skip out on the filling, these things were packed. I'm used to the calzone being half air inside this was all cheese and toppings. I had baked, next time i will try fried. The stuffita was not what I expected but still delicious; it was more of a spe ial style pizza with the most stuffed crust I've ever had!
Today I picked up an order for Uber eats. The pizzeria was clean. The workers were respectful and prompt with the order. Smelled delicious 😋
Best pizza in the area so far. I not only enjoyed the pizza I found a new memory of Brooklyn pizza I been seeking for about 10 years.
Excellent pizza 🍕 and great 👍 beer 🍺 too. Restaurant is spacious with plenty of seating in and outside. The customer service was good and it was an overall decent experience. A bit warm inside but they have ceiling fans that could use an upgrade as some were a bit wobbly. Nevertheless, we will be coming back!
Delicious! We got two small pizzas to go and a few wings. All came out amazing. The pizzas we got were the Da Bronx Bomber and the Pineapple Pie (only took the photo half through). The service was quick too. We came in to pick-up an order we placed ahead of time and we were out within 5 minutes. Love the wall art as well! Great place with great food. Support your local businesses.
This place is so INCREDIBLE! The love of my life just moved to Sacramento and when I was there helping him move in we tried Giovanni’s and it was so delicious! I lived in Brooklyn, NY for almost 5 years and I’ve always missed the pizza there but I think I’ve found my new fave joint in SAC! I wanted to do a pizza delivery surprise and even though I could hear they were so busy in the background, when I called and requested a heart shaped topping there was no hesitation! It was like they were as excited about the idea as me :) and look how cute it is!! Thank you!! #forevergiovannisaddtomatoes❤️
Ordered a half Bronx Bomber, half Bianco. Bianco needed more bacon and was otherwise a bit bland. The Bomber was awesome, no complaints there. The sausage was spicy, and the sauce was perfect. The woman in charge was very accommodating, and her service was exceptional. The varieties available are not the usual and they aren't the random California varieties, for example, cheeseburger pizza. Some real quality Italian tastes. Love these guys!
I recently visited Giovanni's Old World New York Pizzeria in East Sacramento and let me tell you, this place is the real deal. You know it's a killer pizza joint when you can be completely satisfied with just a slice of cheese pizza. And let me tell you, I was more than satisfied. I was cheesin' from ear to ear. I have to warn you. The sausage, pepper & onion pizza is Mmmmmagnificent! I couldn't help but do a little happy dance with each bite. And the folks working there are so nice, I almost wanted to invite them over for a pizza party. But be warned, don't burn your mouth. The pizza is hot and delicious, but you don't want to end up with a burnt tongue like I did. It's not a good look. And the employees are so busy, you know they're making fresh pizzas all day long. Giovanni's Old World New York Pizzeria is a slice above the rest. Just be prepared to leave with a full belly and a smile on your face.
UPDATED - Im not sure what happened to this place, but it has really gone downhill. Not sure who is running it now, but tonight seemed like a bunch of teenagers with no direction. Took an hour for a stromboli, and another person in our group didnt even get his order. Hopefully the owner will come back around and bring it back to its once fantastic establishment. This pizza is amazing! We live in Texas, so we don't get to enjoy it on the regular. Last year our trip got canceled, so we made sure to have it before we leave!
Called it in and within 15 minutes it was ready. This pizza is really good! Was blown away. Will be coming back every time I want pizza. Local owned. They definitely deserve more customers!
This place makes great quality authentic NY Italian food. Sometimes they do burn it a little which I’m sure depends on who is working, but overall I like coming here a lot and think they deserve 5 stars. I had the Stromboli today and wow it was good! Perfectly cooked, good quality meat, both soft and crispy. Honestly 10/10 best Stromboli I’ve had. I recommend ordering things you wouldn’t normally order, if you only order the lunch special pizza slices, it’s great, but you are missing out on a lot of interesting items they have.
They make Sicilian Pizza! And I was absolutely delighted that it tasted like my hometown pizza in Mamaroneck, NY! Da Bronx Bomber was delicious too, and we were pleasantly surprised with the pineapple pie. The pizza came out pretty quickly, nice and hot! They had the crushed red pepper and parmesan in the shaker bottles that every pizzeria in NY has - nice!. The atmosphere is like a plain cafeteria but it was clean, cool, and the soda fountain offered a lot of choices. I rather have a plain atmosphere and great NY pizza, which they delivered! Looking forward to trying the rest of their menu!
I love to come here for lunch. Giovanni’s Old World New York Pizzeria has the best pizzas, and the gentlemen who work there are so friendly. Both of the indoor and outdoor dining areas are comfortable. I like the outdoor seating when the weather is good. I have not tried the dinner there yet! But I drove by a few times. It looks so beautiful! I'm sure I will try it one night!
Amazing pizza!!! The owner was present and working his behind off right next to his staff. He addresses his staff members with respect and calling them Mr. (with their name). The owner is from New York with Italian heritage, if this doesn't tell you the pride he takes in the food he serves. He engaged in friendly conversation with many of his customers. The restaurant opens at 1100 am and right off the bat there were multiple large orders ready for customers to pick up. I'm talking like 10-20 pizzas per order. The restaurant is clean spacious and comfortable seating. The pizza fresh, hot, ingredients full of flavor and plentiful. There are toppings in every bite. I probably did the most despicable thing for the new yorkers but I asked for ranch to dip my delicious pizza in and I'm not sorry I did. The ranch was full of flavor and one of the best I've had. I overheard the owner telling some other customers that he makes the ranch from scratch. The customers all seem to be repeat customers. I will be back and bringing others to enjoy it with me. They offer online ordering and judging by all the tablets they must be on most food delivery sites.
One of my favorite pizza places in town! They also have tasty non-pizza options. The place has a cool old school vibe and a convenient parking lot. It can get busy though so sometimes the wait time is a bit long!
Best NY style pizza I’ve found in Sacramento. The staff is also very friendly and efficient. The only not great item is the cannoli, but this is a pizzeria not a bakery.
The pizza had good flavor and fresh ingredients, it was ready quick too. The staff was super friendly. The beer is severely over priced, that would be my only complaint. Paid over $22 for 3 drafts beers. The c02 was out on the soda machine but the lemonade and water worked so not a total loss.
First time trying Giovanni and the pizza was delicious. We did half Da Bronx and Gorgonzola pizza. The Bronx is a meat lovers paradise; savory, full of meat, and cheesy goodness in every bite. Gorgonzola is a good option for vegetarians and the gorgonzola cheese is a nice touch. Overall great pizza with the crust to match. They charge a dollar for ranch cups. Just throwing in that out there
It was good, just a little bit on the pricey side for a 16”. Latest menu I found here was a dollar less from a year ago. With Folsom tax and tip, it was about $38.
The food was good I ordered a calzone and it was very cheesy, very good! My husband ordered a pepperoni pizza also very good. This are a few observations that you can improve, the tables were dirty and the floor. Also when we enter no one greet or say welcome! Just a few things that can be fix.
A very popular pizzaria No wonder why?! They have great service & food! They offer a variety of pizzas..so order one of their specialities or two...or order it to your own liking! They also have delicious calizones, salads bread sticks, garlic bread, pastas, hot wings & more! Grad a few drinks. Sit back & enjoy! Dessert is good too..TRY THE CANOLLI!! DELICIOUS!!
The place is really big and perfect for large parties. Has a covered seating area outside. The restroom and the facility are ADA compliant. They have a small parking lot in the front but there is a big parking lot in the side. Food is good. We got a Calzone and their Jumbo chicken wings
Food was really good! The service did not seem organized to me, a guy who ordered after me (same to-go order, pizza and salad) got his food before mine. Oh well. Decor was fine, big open space with tables and chairs. Outside seating was also available. I got the Caesars salad (good parm slices) and the Bronx pizza. Good crust, good quantity of toppings, sauce had slight zest, and good flavor. A little pricey for what I got, but decent place.
This is a mom and pop pizza place. The building is old and this is the only business in the building. The rear of the building is in obvious disrepair. Inside the decor is spartan with tables and chairs on a concrete floor. Out front there was some effort made to decorate a little, but it still looked like a very old building and parking lot. Now for the food. They serve pizza and natural variations (stromboli, calzone). I selected a medium (12 inch) pizza with ham, pineapple, and bacon. Basically a Hawaiian style pizza. The cost was $18.95, a little on the steap side. So I was expecting generous toppings for that price. I was very disappointed with the scant toppings received.
Purchased two large, thin crust pizza's (one cheese and one meat) plus an order of chicken wings. It cost $85 for pickup. The service was great, the pizza was just okay; sliced weren't cut all the way through, wings were a hit! For how much was paid, I was expecting the pizza to be a lot better.
The night I went with friends, there was a 13yr old party and the teens were very rude obnoxious, loud, being disrespectful, Climbing on the arcade games available and unplugging the games and pushing the games away from the wall. All while there parents stand near and not doing anything or say anything to these kids. They kept telling and pushing into our table. Being just so rude, No parents there ever said anything. We just packed our food and left. The food was great! I'll probably order to go next time.
I mean I dont know the pizza was just alright? The price doesn’t concern me but even little caesars taste better it just left a bad taste in my mouth. It was fresh, big plus for the freestyle machine
The crust is good. The sauce is kind of bland...sour? It could be really good with a bit better sauce. Good place with a lot of potential.
Unfortunately we arrived as a party of tweens were there but this highlighted the poor service. With just a few other guests outside of the party, twice they didn't know where our order went and also there is only one soda fountain which entertained the kids because of all of the choice and caused a consistent line. It was a touch screen that didn't work well and a lot of flavors were not available which made their selections take that much longer. The food was ok. Got the lunch special that came with two slices and a soda. Also ordered wings. The wings were the highlight of the meal. They were really good and if you want to feel like a barbarian who pulled off the wings of a chicken and threw them in the oven then these are for you! You get the whole wing in it's savory goodness.
Come here all the time for family pizza night, its usually really great. Ordered last weekend and got a pizza that was so blackened it was pretty much inedible (usually it a little burnt and crispy, but this time the crust was blackened to the core). On top of that they left off toppings from the salad we ordered. Honestly if I’m dropping $50 on a single pizza and salad, I expect quality and to receive the items i paid for. Probably won’t be back, $50 on a gamble of whether or not it will be good is a waste. Some people work hard to treat their family to an occasional meal out, its a bummer when a restaurant you patronize frequently screws you out of $50
The review is in three parts: generally, takeaways, pizza order and quality breakdown, and conclusion for those who don't want to read it all. It was average, good-quality pizza. I got a personal size pizza and hered the large is the best to get which is why I am giving a 4 star instead of a 3 star even though I would say the person size was just an average pizza the atmosphere is gave a 3 because it was very calm but loud and service a 4 because the staff was friendly for all there staff members working in the kitchen. I ordered a personal pizza with Pepperoni and black olives The pizza's cheese blend was on point and would be in the top 3 pizza cheese blends I have had. The crust was nice and crunchy, but the undersection of the pizza was way too thin, almost like paper, and lacked any crunch, which was very off-putting given how good the cheese blend was. The pepperoni is a basic, inexpensive kind, but it was still good. The olives were the best kind of olives you can get on a pizza, and I loved them. I would recommend this place, as it's well-priced for the quality you get. The only downside is mainly the atmosphere. Next time I go, I will update my reviews and get a large to see if it's actually much better.
This review reflects my last take out order. It was a Friday Night. Ordered: Da Bronx Bomber NY Style. Received: Sicilian Style. I was offered the Sicilian or I could wait 30+ minutes for the correct NY Style. The shift manager told me that if I didn't like it, let him know. I assumed he meant "later" as it was takeout and I would know if I liked it or not until my family and I ate it at home. So, I take the pie home to a disappointed family but I ask them to rally and give it a try. 4 out of 4 in my family ended up sick and no one ate more than 1 piece of this pizza. I called the next day and no help. I wrote an email, no help. I did receive a response but was told that I took the wrong pizza so that's the end of the transaction. Moral of the story: don't take a pizza you didn't order and didn't want. Otherwise, pizza isn't bad this order just left a bad taste in my mouth.
hi, this was our second time ordering. we should have taken photos of the pizzas. the first was okay to me but my partner thought it was subpar. the second time was July 15th 2025 and it definitely was subpar. i have photos of the order via email. barely any toppings…. even the ones we paid extra for. the crust was very hard towards the middle-top as well. again we didn’t take photos but thought you should know. maybe it’s about who was cooking at the time we ordered? we won’t be returning again because now i’m convinced that’s just the quality level and it doesn’t work for us.
Please avoid!! Pizza was ok nothing special. Customer service is terrible. Was told over the phone to pick up in 30 minutes. Showed up and was told to wait another 5-10 Waited an hour after that and the girl or person that was at the desk was rude. Not once did she apologize for lying to me multiple times. I asked for my money back and to cancel the order but they refused and said the pizza would be ready soon. Please avoid!
We ordered the pizza online and it told us that it would be ready 1.5 hours later. Totally understand if y’all are busy! I came when it said it would be ready and the pizza was ice cold. Update the website you use or the app to update once the pizza is ready. Not cool when you spend $45 on a single pizza. This pizza wasn’t bad but come on.
This place is usually amazing however are last trip was horrible. Granted we got there at 25 min to close. I was excited to shownmy brother how good pizza is out here. I contacted the owner and he said he would remake the order which is why i will try it one more time. I will update my review after that visit tomorrow.
This place has some great pizza but there's a lot of room for improvement. 1. Take out orders take way too long. My order said it'd be done at 635pm. Granted it's a Friday night so I'm gonna show up at 655. Still not done, and people that are walking in behind me are getting their orders handed out before me. 2. When I've dined in, I've had to wait and I don't mind waiting as long as the food is the best that it can be but in this scenario, it wasn't. The crust was inconsistent; one side pale, the other with a little brown. This place is good and what's frustrating is it's so close to being great. If you're gonna take a prolonged amount of time to prepare delicious pizza for someone, make sure it's perfect.
In July, one of my cousins and I ate a pie here and enjoyed the wings. Today I decided to return, because I was craving pizza, but today I am not sure what happened. The bottom of the pizza was soggy, and not soggy from the sauce, which I would know as someone who was training to be a chef and learned to make pizza in Milan, Italy. Unfortunately, the soggy wet taste, is off putting to say the least. Back to the drawing board I go to find a preferred consistent pizza parlor. Interesting how you could charge someone twenty dollars and decided that the food you make should be subpar.
Edit - Oct 2025: As much as this pains me to write, I can no longer recommend Giovanni's as the place to go for pizza in sac. I've been coming here for a couple decades and the experiences have been steadily on the decline. The last visit, the pie was burnt and missing toppings. Don't get me wrong, it was still good even overcooked but a pizza and small salad plus tip set me back $70... which is insane in and of itself, but then missing things and burned? Nah, y'all lost touch....old review left below for nostalgia Pizza, done right. Like the age old saying goes: "Pizza is like sex. When it's good, it's great. When it's bad, it's still pretty good". Using a more appropriate analogy, if pizza were ski conditions... Giovanni's would be a sunny day at Alta/Snowbird after a monumental storm. There might be fancier or more advanced pies out there, but if you want a pie that has stood the test of time and never fails to satisfy, this is the place to go. NY style that makes the best slices in NY take a second look at their career choices 🤣 TL;DR It's the best. Go get a slice
I have tried Giovanni's in South Sac (twice) only to have dried out and overcooked slices. I will not be back there again. I have been frequenting East Sac recently and decided to give that location a try and order a fresh pizza this time, hoping for a better experience. I even explained to the manager about my previous experiences and that I do not like burnt pizza. Well my pizza was burnt and they did nothing for me. I even asked the manager if they usually make the pizzas this burnt and he said no. Also, they do not have much of an online presence, which quite common for businesses that get poor reviews. Be very careful of this place.
Always drove by the place decided to finally try it. It was okay. Wouldn't say its anything special to go out of your way to try. Guys just sitting on their phones listening to music on their headphones. The crust is prob the best thing about it. Environment is also dirty and just gives me old home vibes.
10/12 Ordered a Festa di Italia and large Cheese pizza at 8:15pm. I was told it would take 20 minutes. Got there and a bunch men were working. Pizza got done at 8:45. Got home at 9:58. They forgot to add the requested mushrooms on my Festa. It was raw, soggy and smothered with oil. I don't know if they were rushing to close, or just lack of standards towards quality. One of the worst pizzas I've recieved from them. Hardly edible. Photo 1: Festa di Italia Photo 2: the BACK of Festa di Italia
I had 2 slices of the chicken garlic pizza from the lunch special. I just had worked for 6 hours on an empty stomach and I hadn’t eaten any breakfast. So needless to say,I was very hungry. The 2 slices were so overdone that it was almost impossible to eat,I thought maybe they had served me something that was forgotten in the oven or maybe it was made fresh the day before. The chicken was so dry that I had to spit it out and if there was garlic on it ,I could not see it and I couldn’t even smell or taste any. I was so hungry I ate it anyways. My Sister tells people all the time that I am a human trash can because I will eat almost anything headed for the garbage, and they don’t even know that about me. I wouldn’t have been so critical about my experience with this place and I don’t review all the places I go to eat. I don’t post about it because it’s not my job,so I usually do review a place if they are excellent quality and service that is so good that it was my pleasure to post about a job well done. Also I don’t like being negative so I don’t post about the bad things unless they are horrible and I unfortunately found the Giovanni pizza to be that bad😥
I am born and raised in ny and this place should change there name it’s sad when the crust has more flavor then the actual pizza , the workers are rude as all hell and this is the worse “ny pizza” I have ever had !!! If your looking for ny style go to hella pie in Tracy at least you get extremely close with good flavor !!! Spent 80$ and it was a waste all going in the trash !!
They only got 1star because that was the only way I could put in a review. Now I'm only gonna be honest and I've gotta say this was by far the worst pizza I've had on my entire life! And for $36 for 2 mediums I feel like I got viciously raped and taken advantage of. Little ceasers is closer to gourmet then that place will ever be! My best best advice is don't waste your money!
I wrestled with leaving this review but ultimately feel I have to. I spent 80 dollars on a pizza and garlic bread. The pizza was barely edible. The edges were burnt and the toppings were skimpy. The garlic bread tasted okay but they were the saddest little chunks of garlic bread I've ever seen and cost fifteen dollars. I won't ever come back here.
The absolute worst! We were told at the hotel to come here, had to be around 30 children running around all over the restaurant, screaming, yelling No one . Not one parent was parenting! The staff acted like this is normal. We tried to order with these unruly children interrupting. Made chuckle cheese look like church! Horrible! I just can’t believe how rude people have become. We left
If you look through the pictures and see great looking fresh pizza, check the date, pictures are from years ago, and looks like the place went downhill. I saw those pictures and thought I'd order a pizza and was totally disappointed. It was reheated, had no toppings, chicken was dry, dough was rock hard and burned, my child couldn't chew it so I had to make him something else to eat. Cheese looked old and hard, dry ketchup all around, I could go to Ceasars and get better quality. Felt like a waste of $30, chain pizza places are miles better, but we wanted something special, it wasn't even average. Never going back
I was highly disappointed with the food that I received. They’re so overpriced and charge you for literally every thing. I ordered wings and received the wrong flavor and they were dry and looked very unappetizing. Their service was horrible, I asked for utensils and napkins and they gave us nothing. If they’re going to be overpriced they should at least give out quality stuff.
Took over a hour from walking in to eating. Pizza was fine but not worth the wait. Dinning room had trash all over the floor and cans overflowing. Bathroom was also pretty rough.
OK so first of I want to start by saying I been wanting some good old fashion New York style pizza for years. My family and I did our individual research on where we should try the New York style pizza we all agreed on Giovanni's; however I was very disappointed. The wait time was 15-20 mins which wasn't bad. The place seem very clean and friendly. I only had a quick chat with the staff no small talk at all. Didn't ask how my day was or if I was a returning customer, didn't bother me. What did bother me was when I return home with the pepperoni New york size 18 inches it was burned and greasy! You can see in my pictures. The crust was rock hard! I was very disappointed In this Pizza shack after I saw all those wonderful reviews people all over Sacramento to left. They had plenty of staff on board and the place wasn't busy at all, there shouldn't be NO reason why they have to lack on quality so bad. As you can we still ate it because I wasn't going to make an extra unnecessary trip back and to another pizza place. We sucked it up and ate a crummy pizza. Not only was it +$33 but they don't even deliver! I thought we were in 2018? Adapting is what makes a business successful. I will not recommend this pizza shack to anyone. My family did mention the Ranch was amazing. So we would give the ranch 5 stars.
I haven’t been here in years because I remembered the service being awful, even though the pizza was decent. I usually just drive downtown if I want thin, NY-style pizza, but I decided to give this place another shot tonight. Big mistake. Honestly, I should’ve trusted my memory—lesson learned. I called in and was quoted 40 minutes—no problem. I showed up around the 30-minute mark and then waited another 40 minutes just to be rung up. Yes, 40 minutes just to pay. At that point, I assumed I’d be getting an ice-cold pizza. Somehow it got worse: they made me wait another 15 minutes after that. It was obvious they just tossed a cold pizza back in the oven to reheat it. So… fresh? Not exactly. LOL. While waiting, the entire store came to a stop because their beer taps went down and no one could figure them out. Apparently this is rocket science. This was especially fun since one person was running the register and the drinks. LOL again. Standing there forever gave me plenty of time to notice how dirty the place is. It doesn’t look like it’s ever been deep-cleaned—built-up grime everywhere. Not exactly appetizing. Yikes. In the end, just go to Roma’s if you’re in the area, or head downtown if you want NY-style pizza. The service here is still just as bad as I remembered, and it’s not worth it. I regret giving them a second chance, and there will definitely not be a third. LOL at me for even trying.
Came here twice. First time pizza was ok, big salad was good too. Not stellar but fine. Native New Yorker here. Second time my kid’s stoke was high for pizza and the games. We stood in line to order and when we finally got up to the register and after placing our whole order the cashier tells us it’ll be an hour and a half wait for a couple of pizzas. Because they were expecting a party of 100. So we decided to cancel the order and eat elsewhere but let the kid play games before leaving. Everyone else I saw waiting in line ordered, found out the wait time, and then left. So then we start to try to play the games but literally every single game was broken. The whole thing could have been handled better by the restaurant. Like maybe close the restaurant when you have a party that large coming in. Put up some out of order signs on the game machines. Just a bummer overall. Waste of time and poor customer treatment, for pizza thats not worth it.
As a native New Yorker, this is not it whatsoever. Pizza was old and just thrown in the oven to warm it up before served to us. Super dry and burnt. Paid $10.99 for the lunch special. Which isn’t a bad price but the slices I got were small portions and In New York you can get 1 slice (bigger than the size of the two slices from here put together) with a drink and still pay less. Overall do not recommend. This place does a poor job representing New York pizza.
I came here for the 1st time in July with my son and cousin on a Monday afternoon and It was a hit. I came back to finish moving my son into his dorm room and had been craving the pizza all week. I came on Saturday at 7pm, it was busy ok no problem im patient. I waited an hour, I was very tired so i did not check my pizza. My mistake, I got back to my hotel and the pizza was burnt and I had to feed my son. I was beyond pissed off because I paid $62 and gave a tip for 2 pizzas and wings. Im very cheap and I never pay a lot for food but I just knew it was worth it. Busy or not it needs to stay consistent. If you go try dining in early in the day and week.
We ordered pizza from this place and it was terrible. Waited over an hour after pickup time for a burnt black pizza (see pictures). The manager didn’t care and told me “it’s not burnt on the inside” lol. Manager also refused to do a refund and gave me a “what do you want me to do about it” attitude. What a sad excuse for a pizza place. Do yourself a favor and get a frozen pizza from Walmart. It will be 10x better than Giovanni’s sad excuse of a pizza.
