Excellent food. Most authentic Turkish food I’ve had in the States with great, fair values and fantastic taste. It really packs a punch, with generous portions as well, and prices can’t be beat. They treat you like family and are very kind. The massive mixed meats platter is so worth it, and so is the lamb tava, and it fed a party of three with leftovers. And that’s on top of staters like Hummus plates, salad and lentil soup. Highly recommend, and leave room for a killer kunefe if you can help it.
I love all Mediterranean food. I cook all types of food from the Mediterranean/Middle East/North Africa. Makes it hard to go out to eat because I'm always comparing to homemade. And it rarely stands up. BUT THIS PLACE!!!! OH. MY. YUM.!!!!! Better than homemade. You MUST try it! The family will most definitely be back!!
Oh My Wowwwwww 🤤 😋😋😋 Best Mediterranean food in San Antonio hands Down! Everythingggggg is 🔥 🔥🔥 the Hummus’s is super fresh, their bread is Cooked to perfection and everything real fresh! The falafel the chicken, the Homesade dipping sauce just chefs Kiss 💋 The Restaurant has such a cute set up too! Come, you won’t be disappointed you’ll thank me 😉
This was amazing. We got a plate for 2 and it easily fed all 4 of us with calamari and hummus. Baklava was very good too.
Today I took my mother to chefs table for her birthday dinner (her choice). The atmosphere was unique and authentic. There aren’t very many Turkish Restaurants in the San Antonio area, let alone helotes. We ordered the Mixed grill for two, which is basically a little bit of everything on menu. The food was flavorful, filling, and genuine. Portion size was perfect for us both we were stuffed. Lastly the cherry on top was the service. Our waiter guided us through the menu and options which made our first time at the restaurant even better. Will be coming back soon!
Hands down one of the best Turkish restaurants I have been to in the San Antonio area. Me and my wife came here with the intent of just eating light and having appetizers because we planned on doing a lot of walking afterwards. This place blew our minds with how tasty the appetizers were, we could only imagine how good the actual entreé dishes are. Easy 5 stars 👍
First time here! From the photos on their website, I knew it would be delicious. The wait was about 10 minutes. The complimentary bread and its sauce, which I think was bell pepper (correct me if I'm wrong), were delicious, and the bread was super fluffy. Honestly, I don't remember exactly what each of us ordered (I hope it's the correct dish in the photo caption). The sampler was out of this world, the salad dressing was amazing, and the lamb was falling off the bone. But the real winner was the falafel. We didn't try any desserts because the portions were so generous. There isn't a huge selection of drinks tho, and I couldn't try the gyros because they're only available during the week, but everything else made up for it. It's definitely a place I would recommend 100%. Plus, the waiters were very friendly and kind the whole time. They were always listening to what we needed and explained each dish in detail without any inconvenient. Can't wait to visit them again! Around $20 to $35 per person (I really don´t rememeber)
I was introduced to this restaurant recently. I had never experienced Turkish food, so was a little reluctant. That said, the menu was simple to understand and everything sounded delicious. I've tried several items on the menu and everything is absolutely wonderful. All the food is prepared fresh and extremely flavorful. I went back for a second time a week later with another friend. It's my new favorite and I'm determined to try everything. I'd recommend purchasing 3-4 entrees/meals and mix/match for 2-3 people; you'll get to try more and still have leftovers (which are even better the next day).
First time here, was seated immediately. The waiter was extremely kind and gave a brief yet helpful rundown of the menu. I tried the maummara and the shish (beef and lamb) with his recommendation and I’m so glad I did, everything was flavorful, fresh, and feels like home. Got the baklava for dessert (both the hot and the cold) and it is by far the best I’ve had. The decor feels rich with culture and is just downright gorgeous. I’m already planning my next visit!
Came here for a Friday evening dinner. It was busy, but was immediately seated. Ordered a little bit of everything to try different dishes, meats, rice, veggies, soup, and small bites. Started off with their house bread, lentil soup, babaganoush, dolmas, muammara, and lebni while deciding on the main dishes. Simple appetizer, but was very good. For the meals, all the dishes were freshly made and brought out within 15 minutes. Everyone was happy with their dishes and would come back again. Meats were juicy and flavorful. The grilled veggies were a good complement to the rice and meats.
Their complementary bread and tomato oil had us off to a good start. We ordered the doner pide, which was a super cheesy bread topped with this flavorful meat. The baba Ghanoush wasn't quite for me, but I could see someone else enjoying it. We also ordered the lamb tava, the meat was so tender and flavorful!! The sweet tea was perfectly sweet, friendly service, clean restaurant, and beautiful decor!
The food here is outstanding! The calamari was some of the best I’ve had — thick, tender pieces cooked perfectly. I ordered the Beyti, and it was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and beautifully presented. When the waiter asked how everything was, I told him I felt like I was transported back to London — that’s how authentic and memorable the meal was. Excellent service, warm atmosphere, and unforgettable flavors. Highly recommend!
When I tell you this place is the best Mediterranean food in San Antonio I mean it!! As a traveler I have been to Türkiye and this is definitely authentic as it gets. All the team members that run this restaurant were very friendly as well! I would also personally thank my new friend Hanan, she was extremely hospitable and gave us great recommendations. On top of that she also shared invaluable advice about traveling and knowledge of the food itself. I would highly recommend support her but I would like to mention that all the staff members there are equally friendly. I will becoming here a lot more often as this is a great place for buisness meetings, celebrations, and a beautiful date atmosphere.
My recent trip to San Antonio yielded an unexpected culinary delight! While visiting friends over the weekend, I discovered a hidden gem of a Turkish/ Mediterranean restaurant. Dining solo, I found the atmosphere relaxed and inviting, allowing me to enjoy a book while I awaited my meal. The wait, however, was remarkably short. This restaurant far surpasses other Turkish establishments I've experienced. The service was not only prompt and friendly but genuinely welcoming; a stark contrast to the sometimes indifferent service one can encounter in some Middle Eastern restaurants. What truly impressed me, though, was the food. The flavors were exquisite, the quality of the ingredients exceptional, all offered at incredibly reasonable prices. It exceeded my expectations on every level. Order, the (Brazino)!! Thank me later 😁 The pleasant ambiance on that particular Sunday further enhanced the experience. It was a welcome change from the sometimes more boisterous atmosphere one might find in other similar restaurants. I wholeheartedly recommend this restaurant. It's already on my list for my next San Antonio visit, and I can't wait to share this wonderful find with my friends.
Two things that matter most to me when dining out are hygiene, especially clean bathrooms, and the quality of the food. This place got both right. The food was absolutely delicious and tasted like it came straight out of Turkey. If you know, you know. A lot of places claim to serve Turkish food, but only a few actually get it right. This one definitely does. The prices are also very reasonable for the quality you’re getting. The design of the place is also worth mentioning. It has a real Turkish vibe, and the little Turkish corner looked amazing. It added to the overall experience. Just one quick suggestion. The Turkish flag in that corner would look better placed above the pictures. In Turkish culture, and honestly in many cultures, having a painting above the flag doesn’t sit right. Just a small thing to consider. Thanks again for the great experience. I’ll definitely be back soon.

I really wish I could have given them a 5, the service was slow , another whole table left because it was that bad. We waited enjoyed the free bread, paid $1 for each water. The meaty wrap was not bad, we also ordered fries and falafel and they both didn't come out on time. We went during lunch and it was packed.

⭐☆☆☆☆ We visited The Chef’s Table on a Wednesday afternoon around 3 p.m., hoping for a pleasant midweek meal. The restaurant was fairly quiet, and we were excited to try their Turkish cuisine, having heard great things. From the moment we were seated, however, the atmosphere quickly shifted— because of the attitude of the service. The waiter who served us was dismissive, cold, and borderline disrespectful. It felt as though we were inconveniencing him just by being there. There was no warmth, no hospitality, and no effort to make us feel welcome. For a restaurant that presents itself as a fine dining or elevated experience, this kind of service is simply unacceptable. Unfortunately, no matter how good the food is, the experience as a whole is what makes a guest want to return—and we left feeling like we definitely weren’t wanted there. Lamb had a bad smell and the food honestly wasn't meeting the basic Turkish standards. Anyway .. The worst!
The menu here online says a chicken doner costs $10.99 for a chicken doner and either a salad or French fries. I ordered exactly that and he rung me up for 30 dollars. When I asked for fries he added an additional charge for $4. I wasn't all that upset at this point because I just assumed it was inflation and big portions. I waited for 20-25 minutes for the food and come to find out it was a half portion of fries (not many AT ALL) and the "doner" wasn't even made. They gave me the bread for it, and in the container was a thin layer of their chicken meat laying on a big bed of rice. On the side was a very tiny portion of their salad with half a grilled tomato. If I had to guess, it was about $10 worth of food. I would've been fine paying around $15 for it, but at $30 it's a complete scam. Don't order anything for more than $15 here because you're almost definitely not getting your money's worth. By the way, that whole meal did not come with a drink.
