I loved the spinach enchilada plate. The waitress, Olivia, was very quick and attentive. I also really like the look of the dining room. The wait staff also sings "Happy birthday" if you request it.
This place is great! The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is delicious. The inside is built out to look like the Alamo, complete with starry ceiling and Davy Crockett playing the fiddle. I had my food in five minutes after ordering and I was very pleased with everything. I will definitely come back if I'm ever in town again.
We came on a Saturday, there was a 50 minute wait but no wait to eat at the bar. Our server was nice & attentive. They give you chip, salsa & dip when you sit down. The green dip is a shocking neon green but delicious. All the meat was seasoned well & sides were good. Did notice a little dry layer on the sides like they sat under lights on the expedition station for a moment too long but still good. The entry is pretty with the creek & little bridge. The inside is cute kinda reminds of something from an amusement park restaurant; themed & with a nice decor.
This was our 1st time trying this place and I will say I was a very very impressed. Their service was great their food was great the atmosphere was great. I could not find one flaw in that place. My son ordered the champagne she lies I order the green and she lies and my boyfriend ordered the chicken fajitas.
Outstanding dining experience, with exceptional quality service, the food was frist rate and very well prepared, extremely satisfied, and highly recommended, by myself and others I have spoken with.
Food is excellent. Staff was good. I felt rushed. But i do know this place gets very busy. Very fair prices for damn good food. Plenty of parking . Plan ahead for later hours in the day.
Met with cousins, second cousins, and third cousins for family lunch get together. About 40 of us gathered there and the food was plentiful, hot, very favorable. The staff were also very nice, attentive, and professional. We had a great time and will definitely gather there again for family get together. Thank you Mamacita's and staff. Job well done.
Loved this place , food was good , just the dip which they served with nachos (green dip) didn’t match my taste bud , other then that everything was good , we had birthday celebration waiters singed happy birthday it was a memorable evening . Please plan and go in advance there is no prior reservation
My family and I visited the location in San Antonio last weekend and truly enjoyed this restaurant. The atmosphere inside was great, and not to mention the food was delicious 😋. If only there was a closer location to Waco. Can't wait to visit this restaurant again.
Great atmosphere! The inside looks like outdoor patio seating. We’ve been here many times for lunch, dinner and events like graduations & anniversary parties. The best appetizer has to be the queso flameado, prepared table side. The flavor is so good, but a bowl on fire makes a great show. We also enjoyed the shrimp quesadillas. To our surprise there was more shrimp than cheese in them, our first time trying them & won’t be our last. 😋 Favorite plate is the NY strip steak with mushrooms on top. I’m not big on veggies so this is the perfect plate with a big steak and baked potato. Tortillas are not only freshly made, but any time we need more there’s no problem. They are quickly brought to our table & they taste amazing. Enchiladas are really good here! Huge selection of different types of enchiladas. The food never disappoints! Best part was the server we had this last time, he was very polite, patient & seemed genuinely happy to serve us. We got there late & were the last ones to leave, but he was all smiles & in a good mood. That wonderful service really makes a difference to our experience.
The most amazing service and food and drinks!!!! The service fast and really great at explaining the menu when we had questions! Just incredible everything!!! Andrea Cardenas and Javier are so fabulous!!! Those were our two servers. There was also another gentleman that filled our chips and was very helpful as well, unfortunately I wasn't able to catch his name. I can tell all of the staff are on board and happy professional and very willing to help too. We fully recommend the restaurant!!! Thank you all, we really enjoyed our experience!!!
We were a party of 16 that came for a dinner with family from out of town to visit and celebrate my Nana who passed away. She loved this place for good reason. More than 15 in a party there is no split checks so be prepared for that. They had no problem accommodating our large party. Our servers were very attentive and the food came out for everyone very fast. Of course while you wait the chips and salsa are awesome and their green dip is delicious 😋. The majority of our party ordered drinks, I'd recommend the frozen margaritas. Again they came out promptly. With everyone talking and visiting after I took my first bite of enchiladas I was thinking about how delicious it tasted I didn't even notice they were cheese and I ordered beef but our wonderful server was behind me and noticed before I could say anything! The manager brought out some hot fresh beef enchiladas for me. He complimented my almost 2 year old and shared a photo of his own grand baby. Everyone was wonderful, they really make you feel like family. The dinner was delicious and a great way to celebrate life and family. I highly recommend this place and will definitely be back, if only for that green sauce 😜
March 2025 A small group decided to revisit mamasitas for dinner, I joined them and arrived around 6 PM. We were there for 2 hours. It was a Thursday evening and it wasn't crowded. The staff and everybody were very professionaland courteous. I ended up getting the beef enchiladas plate, and had water. I've add a picture or two. September 2024 I met a few old co-workers here to eat lunch lunch. I was pleasantly surprised to find. They have a lunch menu, and the portions are not reduced compared to the regular menu item. The wait staff was very attentive and kept our drink glasses filled and, when ready, answered any questions and took our order. The food was ready within fifteen minutes of our order being placed. My dish was very tasty. I ordered the beef enchiladas with chili con con carne topping. My sides were rice and baracho beans. My order also came with santa vacado and a crispy tostada shell. We were also offered corn or flour tortillas with our meal. I'll say again, the food was tasty. When we finished our meal, we were not rushed to pay and leave. I hope your visit and experience will be as good as mine.
We had a blast at this beautiful Restaurant. Definitely a must stop if your visitor to the city. We had a very large party and Tammy the waitress showed us Great 5 Star Waitress all by herself. The food was the authentic Good Good from Mexico. The happy hour was about to start then another two hours past. I Highly recommend this place for all you Large Parties and small as well.
Mamacita's is amazing. One of the best restaurants in town. The service is great and the food is unforgettable. They make their own tortillas by hand on location. You can even watch them make it through the glass window. They have a waterfall inside with the interior completely themed and modeled after a downtown real Mexico location so you feel like you are eating outside in another country while inside the restaurant. Check this place out, there is nothing like it in town. I have included pictures of the entire menu if you'd like to see what they have to offer before going.
Our experience eating at Mamacitas restaurant has always been absolutely great! One of the Best Mexican Restaurants in San Antonio, it never disappoints. One of their best and most memorable features is celebrating a birthday there, when they have the birthday person wear a sombrero and they sing happy birthday :-) love it.
This is a great Mexican restaurant in Texas. Not only does it have a cool interior the food is really good too. The chips and salsa were different in the fact they have a creamy green dip which I loved. I had the beef enchiladas with refried beans and rice which were really really good. There was plenty of food and the service was amazing. This place is worth a visit...
Excellent Fajitas, the meat pulled apart easily and were real Fajita Beef Skirt. Love the lime green alien sauce with chips. They are out of this world great. 22oz beer in Cold mug was enjoyable. The ambience is spectacular as was the service. Workers really worked as a team covering for each other which was very admirable. Highly recommend this place when considering Mexican food restaurants in NW San Antonio.
In San Antonio for a medical appointment and stopped by for dinner to celebrate some hopeful news. Wow! WHY can't we have one of these restaurants in the Corpus area? Absolutely perfect in every way! Walking in, the place set the mood. Old Town "Alamo-era," charm with that vintage Mexico feel. Seated immediately. The server was friendly and attentive. We ordered the beef fajitas for two. It arrived within minutes, fresh and sizzling! I could have made a meal out of their chips and green sauce but then those fajitas arrived! My mouth waters just thinking about it! Homemade tortillas made in the lobby so you can watch the magic being created. All the "fixin's" and portions that overflowed the plates. When we were so stuffed we couldn't move, the server brought to-go boxes AND BOXED EVERYTHING UP FOR US! Even filled the green sauce since we loved it so much. On the way out, we couldn't pass up the display of homemade cheesecake and got a slice of strawberry and triple chocolate. Ate those back at the hotel and savored every bite. I can't say enough about this place. But I'll close with.. It's awesome! 5 stars... Wish I could give it a 10! Nice job, Mamacitas!
Mamacita's is my favorite Mexican restaurant in San Antonio! The atmosphere is fun and open. You can watch flour tortillas being made plus Daniel Boone playing the violin. Service is good! Our drinks were refilled without asking, which was great, and the chips and dips were soooo good! You'll ruin your appetite eating it. Their creamy dip is hard to share, it's that good. Love this place!
This place was amazing! They had something for everyone! Arcade for the kids, cheesecake and Starbucks for the wife, and the biggest margarita for me I've ever seen. The food and service was great. I got the shrimp trio? It had different types of shrimp. All really great. Can't wait to come back. Oh and did i mention they have a green salsa that was addicting.
I have never been disappointed here. My chicken enchiladas with tomatillo sauce were wonderful, and all of the food came out really hot. You can't miss with the flour tortillas fresh out of the machine, either. I couldn't resist the look of the turtle cheesecake, but had to take it home for later.
My wife and I took our daughter and my wife’s dad out to lunch at Mamacits’s today. The food there is always really good. Nice atmosphere. Father in law had chille rellano,my daughter had fish tacos, my wife had chimichangas and I had tamales. Generous portions of food. Our waitress provided excellent service. Great time had by all.
Very fast and friendly service. Good menu with seafood and traditional options. I had the shrimp enchiladas and they were absolutely delicious. Shrimp inside with a white cream sauce served with rice and charro beans. They also have both red and green sauce, which is nice as I prefer salsa Verde.
When you walk in, you feel like you are in a village. From the paintings on the walls to the various themed corners, it all seems really well-planned restaurant. We’ve been here many times, the restaurant always seems to deliver! We’ve celebrated birthday parties, had team luncheons and for regular dinners too lol. The servers are very attentive. Food is good and reasonably priced. A great variety of drinks to choose from as well. We will be coming back 😊😊
The place was really nice! Their mix fajitas (chicken and beef) was really good. Comes with rice, beans, and all that good stuff. Their green sauce had an unique flavor. Their architecture was also unique, feels like you’re inside a small town. I would recommend it if you in San Antonio
The food and service here are always great! The salsas served with chips before your meal are some of my favorites in San Antonio. Tortillas are made in house, always a plus. The dining area is very large and they also have private rooms available. And I'm pretty sure you won't find Davy Crockett playing the fiddle anywhere else 🎻
This place is enormous inside. The water under the bridge crossing to the front door wasn't running this time for obvious reasons but when it is, it's really beautiful. Lots of great artwork and decorations on the inside. When you first walk in the door you'll be greeted by a giant statue that is overwhelming enough but don't forget to look up at this incredible Chandelier. Larger than most cars lol. The young lady at the door was pleasant but not overly so. Our server Alexa was incredible. Timely, friendly and always on the ready. I had the enchilada plate with chili con carne topping. The flavor was great the consistency a little more runny than I like. The meat may have been picadillo, but cooked down. Don't be afraid of the bright green salsa. I thought it was Ambrosia at first (see pic) put it was really great. We tried the queso dip before the meal. It was really good. To where when our meals came we wanted to share the rest of it on each of our plates so we topped our meals with the leftover cheese LOL. My friend had them chalupa plate. Looked great. During the course of the meal you'll notice a David Crockett sort of figure perched up on the ledge that will play his violin occasionally. You can see through this large glass wall where they're making homemade tortillas. And let me tell you, that alone is worth the trip.
This restaurant looks like a normal Mexican restaurant from the freeway. But as you make your way inside you will find pleasant surprises, from the waterfalls outside the front door, to the nicely decorated waiting room, and the main dining room is just wonderful! It is huge! And beautifully decorated. They also have meeting rooms available for corporate events. The waiting staff is friendly and accommodating. They had our table prepared before we arrived. The food is amazing! Their steak for the fajita dish is fabulous. I highly recommend this restaurant for a family night out.
I've been to this place 3 times, and every experience has been terrific. Its scenery and presentation of old times has good craftsmanship. The ceiling with twinkling stars and a well seasoned medium-rare steak goes hand and hand for a country boy like myself. I don't usually eat beans, but just one spoonful left me not sparing anything on my plate. The waiters had no issues catering to my low carbs sides demands. Thank you Mamacita's for a great experience. My tummy salutes you. 😋
It was my first visit while visiting San Antonio. Loved how they cook chicken. Chips with salsa, margaritas, tacos, deserts- everything was great and cooked to perfection. There were many birthday parties because the place is really big. Every birthday boy or a girl got offered a sombrero and was serenaded by the staff. Fun place!
The bartender Zaul is amazing. He’s so nice & funny & he provides great service every time I come & always consistently checks on me to make sure everything is okay! The food here is also great, I haven’t ordered anything yet that I didn’t absolutely enjoy!
I and my family were very pleased with the service, food, and atmosphere. It's a beautiful place. I loved the green dip, salsa and chips. I got the mixed fajitas which were so tender. My granddaughter got the chicken breast and a chicken enchilada. She enjoyed it so much she wanted us to taste it and she was right. My son got a flauta and an enchilada. He really liked that too. Very generous servings. Can't say enough good things. We will definitely return.
The only problem was Daniel was such a good waiter, it will be hard for anyone to be as good. The food, beef fajitas, was excellent, served very quickly, and hot. We left nothing, but a little dip. It is a good thing I don't live closer. Still, every time we are in the area, this is where we eat.
Amazing food and atmosphere, the chips, salsa, and guacamole were all top notch. The enchiladas, which I usually prefer a little more saucy and aggressively seasoned, offered a mild spice that was easy to enjoy. The fajitas were the opposite, tasting a little over-seasoned but pairing very well with the fresh-tasting guacamole. The freshly made tortillas were very good and worth taking home for later.
This is a fun and unique restaurant experience and atmosphere. It's bright and inviting. The cheerful inside display is unusual and makes you feel like you're on vacation. I also appreciated the added Christmas decorations and displays. I was not overly impressed with the food although no complaints. The salsa and the other sauce brought out with the free chips was the standout highlights. I really enjoyed the Christmas margarita and highly recommend it. A very family friendly restaurant and we will definitely be back.
Really good tex-mex food & the restaurant looks cooler than the food
Wonderful experience! The food was top notch as well as the service. Our waitress, Gina, was helpful when we asked for a certain entre', and went above and beyond to accommodate our request. She was courteous and oh so pleasant. We will definitely be returning soon.
This restaurant is more then just a place to eat, it is an experience. If you are on vacation and want Mexican, make this place a priority. From the water features as you walk in to the grand waiting area, you feel like you are entering a latin palace. Once you walk into the restaurant, you will be transported to the square of a small Mexican village. Like the one imagined in Coco. The service was top notch and attentive. The food was served quickly and delicious. They serve not only warm chips and salsa but a special dip that is one of kind. Tortillas are made fresh on-site! I will be bringing anyone visiting us to Mamacita's so they too can experience this amazing restaurant.
This is a nice Mexican restaurant, more upscale than most around. Has both coffee and alcohol bars. Interesting menu, some dishes require explanation. But food well prepared by helpful staff. There’s a cheese app that is flambéed at the table, then wrapped in a tortilla. Excellent fajitas. The indoor is decorated to resemble an outdoor patio area, tasteful with lots of color and variety. Several rooms available for groups. Some very large tables too (1 huge round table for a dozen). Prices a bit higher than other similar restaurants, but all nice enough to justify. Nice place for a birthday, etc.
Wow, this place is phenomenal. We’re traveling through Texas and this place is conveniently right off the highway. My white husband who loves American food absolutely left shocked that he’s been missing out all this time. We ordered the Carnitas, Flautas, Chai Tea(Leaf bag, not sweet), Caramel Machiatto and the Tres Leches cake. The waitress was so kind and attentive and the food came out within minutes. We left so incredibly full. Never change your avocados, please. The Carnitas were so soft you could easily slice through it with a fork like it’s butter, the flour tortillas taste homemade, the flautas were packed with meat, the Chai tea wasn’t harsh, I was scared the caramel machiatto was going to taste like McDonalds but the caramel tasted homemade and my husband who wasn’t sure about trying a “soggy cake” wants me to get him a Tres Leches cake for his birthday now. Loved this place. Came here because I wanted to try a place that wasn’t jam-packed at this hour but was still well-rated and it did not disappoint at all.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 Stars My experience at Mamacita’s in San Antonio was nothing short of magical! From the moment we stepped in, the ambiance transported us to a vibrant courtyard in Mexico, surrounded by stunning apartments, houses, and balconies, all under a starlit sky. The atmosphere is breathtaking, with lively music setting the perfect tone for an unforgettable evening. Our waiter, Julio, was exceptional—attentive, friendly, and made us feel right at home. The highlight of the night was the food. The chili relleno was hands-down the best I’ve ever had in my life—perfectly crunchy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. The fresh tortillas, made right at the tortilla station, were a delightful touch, and the green dip was absolutely divine, bursting with flavor. Mama Cito’s is a must-visit for anyone in San Antonio looking for an authentic, immersive dining experience. The combination of incredible food, enchanting ambiance, and top-notch service makes this place a true gem. I can’t wait to return!
This restaurant stands up on all respect, good food , good staff, friendly and suggested items. As it was my first time here. They have a unique setup inside it’s like a small town. I will definitely visit this place many times. They also has dedicated vegetarian options which also good.
Such a good idea with our cities history! The restaurant decor is fantastic. And original. Service is always great every time. Food perfect. Every time. Portions are huge and the food is full of flavor. We will continue to be loyal customers. Lucia is extremely attentive and had great recommendations. I highly recommend her. And you cannot beat the price point
Walking up to the front doors alone has jaw dropping views. The outside is huge and the inside feels like it's even bigger. The decor and atmosphere of this restaurant makes you feel like you're in mexico. Amazing. My friend brought me for the first time and I wish I had known about this place the whole 3 years I have been living out here. Our server was Gina and she was fantastic. She was attentive and took our order in a timely manner. We never had to wait for a refill on drinks or chips and salsa. We ordered the shrimp enchiladas. Extremely delicious and the flour tortillas were freshly made. Wonderful experience. I regret not coming here sooner.
We came here for dinner for the first time on August 2nd. We were seated immediately and we were really impressed with the layout and design of the dining area. For as busy as they were, after we ordered our food we got it very fast. The food was really good and we enjoyed everything. I am sure we will become regular customers now.
I really love this restaurant. You can tell that the people running it really care, this is their labor of love. The food is wonderful and carefully prepared with quality ingredients. Tastes excellent even leftover and tons of options. I had tamales and somehow enjoyed them so much that I forgot to take a picture! Wonderful texture and very flavorful. The service is very friendly, timely, and caring. There was a table next to me that was celebrating a birthday and the staff dropped a sombrero on their head and sang for them! I love the atmosphere too!! Beautifully and painstakingly decorated, it was wonderful to behold.

It was cold outside, but this place warms your heart. We were told that the wait would be 30 min., but we only waited 15 (just two of us and they gave us a table for 4). We chose to start with …
There’s not much to say other than I came here for the green avocado salsa. Overall Mamacita’s is a standard Mexican chain restaurant. The service was good and the food was pretty decent. There’s nothing that stole the show. It’s just one of those places that has consistently, which I can appreciate. Best for families.
The beef fajitas were exceptional and fantastic. The beef in these fajitas was the most flavorful, tender and perfectly cooked out of any fajitas I have ever had to date. The peppers and onions were also perfectly prepared to accompany the beef. The Spanish Rice was definitely above average but will never eclipse Katherine’s! ☺️ Loved the refried beans. Noteworthy are the AMAZING house made flour tortillas which added another level of excellence and flavor to our fajitas. The tortilla chips came out nice and hot Noteworthy was the Jalapeño Margherita that was almost as good as the one I had at the SKOB in Siesta Key, FL. It’s worth ordering and has a good price point.
Great family friendly restaurant with a fun atmosphere. Tortillas are homemade and you can watch the tortillas being made. Adult drinks are delicious and the adult drink menu is extensive. Chips and salsa are free with your meal. The red salsa is okay, just missing spice. The green salsa is sour cream based and is a very good and different flavor. The beef fajitas were a little tough. Overall, the atmosphere and adult drinks were my favorite.
First... please fix Davy Crockett! It's way past time that he gets back to playing that fiddle. Mamacita's is a great place to have a meal. Over time, we've tried many of their meals. All have been great (beef fajitas are exceptionally good). The exception? "STORE BOUGHT" corn tortillas (reason I rated 4 stars, instead of 5). That's a BIG "NO" for me. I don't eat flour tortillas. Theirs are made in-house (by a machine) and they look (and probably) taste great. The salsas are very good. Neither, the red salsa nor the green, creamy cilantro are hot but, they are addictingly good with those fresh corn tortilla chips. Desserts? All are on display, under glass and every dessert we've ever ordered has been excellent. Service is ALWAYS exceptional. Honestly, I've never run dry on my iced tea so that's a real positive. Birthday celebrations are fun and come complete with a huge (beautiful) sombrero and a loud rendition of a birthday serenade by the wait staff. Try Mamacita's. I'm certain you'll be glad you did.
First time here, went for my daughter 12th Birthday last weekend. We got the beef fajitas, you get alot for your money.. the Red and green sauce we loved.. Favorite part was the atmosphere. My husband got a Ribeye he said he wouldn't get that again.. I told him to stick to Mexican food lol.
Love the food. But the atmosphere needs a little work. Large parties mixed with small ones gets way to loud in the main dinning room.
July 2024 This was my first visit to Mamacita's Restaurant and overall it was good. My first impression was a guy driving around on golf cart in the parking lot and then saw huge signs posted about vehicle crime. I got really nervous and moved my car closer to the door hoping would be safer. The outside is extremely nicely designed as a Mexican architectural style. The inside was just as nice and looked like a Mexican courtyard with different cafe fronts and starlight dark ceiling. It was very attractive. There was a bakery, bar, entertainment area with games to play including play to win a giant life sized plush bear, and tortilleria. I was here for a family get-together and the staff was very nice. I ordered the Crispy Tacos (Chicken) where the menu described it as; three seasoned shredded chicken tacos in crispy shells with cheese, lettuce, and tomato. The place was very roomy and with the high ceiling was not to loud. I ordered a regular frozen margarita and it was delightful. The three chicken tacos was very tasty having a nice flavor and the taco shell was crispy. The sides were Mexican rice and charro beans. They were also not bad. I even got a big scoop of avocado to add to my tacos. The taco shell it was on was not very good but mostly for decoration. Mamacita's was a great place for a large family group and it anyone had a birthday then would have a Mexican hat placed on your head and the staff sing Happy Birthday to you. And our vehicle was fine and the security guy driving around in circles in the parking lot.
Great tasting food. Very generous portion sizes. Fast seating and server showed up with chips and salsa very quickly. Our order was delivered to our table within a very reasonable time. Atmosphere is nice, nothing that seemed above and beyond though. Have been to many smaller less busy Mexican restaurants that have gone the extra mile to enhance the atmosphere. Biggest complaint in this visit was the server who seemed to not be very interested in our table. Seemed to give better and friendlier service to everyone else but us. Drink refills are usually the simplest service item but some of us struggled to receive a refill while others at the table were taken care of frequently. Would definitely visit again for the food.
October 2024: Atmosphere, food, & style! What more could you ask for? - The free chips “though free tasted stale and cold” - The tortillas that came with our queso flameado on the other hand were hot and fresh! The Flameado was Epic! -The red salsa was more mild than i would have hoped for but a solid offering the saved the bland Rice that came with our meal. -They offer solidly generous portions, and everything was plated very well! - The EXPERIENCE, Scenery, and Atmosphere is why anyone wants to come here in my opinion. - My wife and I shared the Chicken, Beef, and Shrimp Fajitas for two and My son ordered the Chimichanga! The chicken and beef fajitas were a touch bland yet the meat was cooked thoroughly and was indeed tender, however the Giant Shrimp was cooked perfectly was packed with flavor! “I recommend just asking for more seasoning/ spice on yours fajitas if you prefer that as we do!” Their charro beans leave something to be desired (missing things like Ranchero, cilantro, salted pork, etc..) also the rice was dry. (The Expos, Managers, and our Server were Terrific!) very attentive, professional, kept our drinks filled to the brim! - Overall a respectable 7.5 out of 10 I definitely recommend this place for families and parties as Mamacitas has alot to offer with its festive atmosphere, drink menu, and overall decent food! Nothing was a deal breaker at all just missing that hint of heat/ spice that screams South Texas!
Really neat interior. Streetside dining; but inside a building. I like it. Lots of tables, really good for families. Came here after work with co-workers. Food was good. Hispanic co-worker said it could've been more authentic. Waitstaff was excellent. That green dipping sauce...sour cream based? Interesting color; but flavor was good. I like it. Thank you. We enjoyed it.
This was my first time here, and with a party of 25! We were seated quickly and the service was amazing! The food was good and the margaritas were strong and tasty 😋 We will visit again soon.
Food was good. Atmosphere was incredible, wait staff was excellent.
The service was amazing, everyone was super friendly and attentive. Sadly, the food didn’t live up to that. I ordered the shrimp enchiladas, which had whole shrimp inside, but the sauce was pretty bland. The flavors felt more Tex-Mex than traditional Mexican food, which might work for some people, but it wasn’t what I was expecting. With how great the service was, I feel like the food could really be better.
We had a party of about 30. Birthday party for our very special Grandma. They did a great job taking care of everyone at the table and even made splitting the bills hassle free. Food was pretty alright. Definitely not bad, still worth eating. The chips and salsa, that was good.

The family and I ordered several different items off the menu. None of us were impressed. The food was bland. Honestly, the worst enchiladas I've ever had, including the rice and beans.
6 in our group Saturday dinner. The waitress was nice. Did a good job. No water set out. I'm visiting so may be a thing. Food high/average.

We Celebrated our wedding anniversary here. I love The atmosphere and the design of the restaurant, specially the starry night. I ordered an entree called “Delicious” since the description seemed very appetizing. Little did I imagine that they call “a flauta” a rolled up taco made with FLOUR tortilla. In Mexican food, a flauta us always made with a corn tortilla. I was disappointed by that. My recommendation is that probably it’s better to ask first. Aside from that, all the the other plates in our party were good. I want to go back and try something else. It’s a very nice place. The service was good and friendly.
The Mexican food here was okay. I ordered a chimichanga, and it was decent overall. I’m personally not a big fan of traditional Mexican cuisine—I usually prefer Tex-Mex—but this place had great reviews, so I decided to give it a try. One thing to note: they really love cilantro here. Unfortunately, I’m one of those people who can only taste soap when it comes to cilantro, so that was tough for me. I even tried their green dip, which seemed to be a mix of cilantro and sour cream, but it just wasn’t for me. On the positive side, the rice was good, and the tortillas tasted fine, though I suspect they’re made with margarine instead of lard. Overall, it was an okay experience—not the worst I’ve had at a restaurant, but not my favorite either. The highlight was definitely the service. Our server was super fast, attentive, and did an amazing job.
I love this place. I was just really disappointed in the food went I went last week. The rice and refried beans were super dry and bland. Very little flavor. And the fish tacos were also dry and uninspiring. I would still go again just for the ambiance, but I’ll manage my expectations and I order differently. On the plus side, the chips and both salsas were absolutely delectable! Yum!
If you need a solid and consistent spot for TexMex this is your place. Will it knock your socks off - no. But will it do the job it needs to do and deliver tasty margs and enchiladas - yes it will.
The happy hour margaritas are legit. The happy hour beer is cold. The cheesecake selections are awesome. The refired beans, alas, are not up to par, especially for San Antonio. Nor is the queso. Th…

Great decor, food was mediocre, drinks were okay. Good for after work happy hour. Their green dip is interesting.
Nothing special, not awful, not great.....filled a void and was not expensive. Margarita was good.

I ordered flautas with frijoles ranchers. Flautas were overcooked and rice was dry and nasty. The green sauce and salsa were ok. My son ordered shrimp and my daughter a burger and they were ok. My daughter wanted to sit by the bar to watch the game but the greeter told her to go ask the bartender. I'm like why can't he ask. Our waitress was very nice.
I can't in good conscious reccomend the food because it is not good. I had the cheese enchiladas and theyre supposed to be safe, i was wrong. The rice was dry and the enchiladas left much to be desired. The weird free sauce, is Sour Cream with food coloring. If the setup works for you, it works but left me confused. Is this an old city in Mexico or an homage to downtown San Antonio with chandeliers. The staff was friendly and that is the only saving grace for me.
Interesting interior design. You feel like you're inside a small, Disney-like Mexican village. Food was good. Service was abysmal. One hour and 15 minutes between the time our order was taken and the time it was served. Other tables who arrived at the same time ate and departed before we were served. Something is wrong in their communication system.
The atmosphere and service are fantastic here, but unfortunately the food was just no good. Aside from the chips and salsa. The queso was clearly Velveeta and none of the meat had any seasoning or spices. We ordered a chalupa that was supposed to have shredded chicken and it came out as cubed clearly pre-cooked and reheated. The guacamole had no flavor and was complete mush. The margaritas taste great, but there is no discernible alcohol inside of them. For $10 I would expect at least a shot's worth of alcohol in the margarita.
The place was really nice from inside and outside. Once inside the staff was really nice. The issue was the food. It had no flavor. No taste. I got cheese enchiladas and my girlfriend got the verde tomatillo chicken enchiladas and they were just mid. Needed some seasoning or something. Like everything. The chile con queso was decent though and the sopapillas were probably the best that we ordered there. Also sweet tea not good 😭

The enchiladas were Soo expensive but tasted bad and not worth $40 dollars for two plates didn’t even get the money back do not recommend
Food was not great, spinach enchiladas were full swimming I’m grease, rice was decent and beans were ok. My in laws ordered the fajitas that we rubbery and lacked flavor, think the only good thing were the tortillas. Salsa had no taste and the green stuff they call salsa should be removed from menu. Waitress came around once to take our drink and food order, food was given and never came back only to give us the bill. I won’t be returning it was my in laws who wanted to try this place, I suggested other places they chose to come try this place.
This used to be my favorite place to eat in all of San Antonio until today. I didn't have time to eat in today so I placed an order to go. Right next to the register there was a sign that stated, " If an associate fails to give you a receipt then your entire meal is complementary " ( The wording may vary but the point is still valid) So upon completing my order and giving me my change, the young lady did not give me a receipt. She simply took the only receipt printed and stapled it to another paper and set it aside. So I walked away and went to bar to have a Modelo and wait for my food. An associate walked passed me that looked to be a manager of some sort so I brought it to his attention. I didn't care if I got the meal for free because I entered the restaurant with the intention on paying for it and i did that. I just wanted to see if they were going to uphold there policy. The bartender and the associate were standing side by side when I asked about there complementary meal for not getting offered a receipt and they both just stood there and said nothing like a politician who just got caught with there pants down at a massage parlor. So I just said nevermind, and walked back to bar. The associate (Manager) attempted to rectify the situation by coming up behind me and telling me ," the sign says that you must ask for a receipt if you want one" and I told him, "No sir, the sign says if I am not offered or given a receipt " then he changes his story to " well thats an old policy and its outdated" I smiled and walked away, got my food and left. I will not ever eat here again. Which sucks because I loved the food and environment but I will not sacrifice my dignity and give money to an institution that condones a type of scam that tricks customers into believing that they follow strict and honest policies when really they are operating under false pretenses . And when their validity is questioned, they stoop as low as lying to me to cover a $42 meal ticket. If my business isn't worth $42 to your company then I will not spend another cent at any of your establishments. Have a great day.
