My delivery order was late. Called the store and Khris D. helped me. He noticed I hadn't gotten my order and it was close to an hour already. We deduced a hungry driver kept it. He remade my order without question and had another driver bring it to me. He updated me on the driver progress until the pizzas reached my door. Amazing customer service. Never once put the blame on me or insist I get a refund. Like I told Khris... customer for life! Give the man a raise!!

I chose this place as an option just because it was close to my new place. Little did I know this would be a place I’d recommend people go out of their way to get. Amazing pizza! Got half & half of their specialty pizzas. Only complaint is wish it wasn’t so greasy

Pizza ingredients were fresh and very tasty. Crust was perfect. Definitely worth the try. 😁👍 Wife had the lemon pepper hot wings. They were jumbo size and very tasty. 👍 Only negative comment, establishment had no public restrooms.

We love Mattengas, we typically order from the Schertz location as we are closer to that pizzeria. However we ordered a few party size pizzas for my daughter’s baby shower and this location did not disappoint. I called the day of to see if they could double slice it and they were warm and friendly reassuring me that they would have it ready to the desired request.

Absolutely fantastic pizza! Crust: perfect. Sauce: great tasting and just the right amount. Perfect toppings. The sliced Italian sausage was so darn good. I’m just mad at myself for not trying y’all sooner. I will be back to try more items from the menu. You rock!!!

So I judge pizza and wings and other things based on how they taste the following morning cold. Not only was it some of the best pizza I've had hot in a while the next morning I ate it straight cold and it was legit along with the pizza rolls. Definitely my place for pizza now. Please don't raise prices.. thank you all for your hard work!

Omg first time here, Absolutely Delicious!!!! Great variety of sodas. Garlic bread uses REAL garlic. The pizza......I can't say enough. The crust light and airy, the sauce is perfect. Cheese shredded daily. If you are looking for a great pizza try this place!!!!

My whole family LOVES Mattenga's. It is a bit pricey, so now and again we slum it with one of the major chains. They are always disappointing in comparison. If you want quality, you have to pay for it. We have ordered from here regularly for years and I have never had a bad or incorrect order. They are also very quick with delivery or pick up. It is also family owned. I like to support small businesses when I can.

First time trying them and it was excellent! 👍 Fresh quality ingredients, good dough and sauce. I'm biased against NY style pizza but this was damn fine Midwest style pizza. Highly recommend.

We came here because of all the rave reviews and found ourselves being blown away at how much better this place was then we were already anticipating. Wish i could gove more stars because i would. We got the brisket pizza with normal pizza sauce instead of bbq sauce with a side of mikes hot honey to drizzle on it and a ice cold blueberry soda and big red to wash it all down with complete with peach hot wings ( a first for me) if you come here and get what we got i promise you’ll fall in love. We just finished eating there awhile ago so im full but already planning for our next visit.

***update** We tried the Santa Fe and chicken pesto and it was a tie for me. So delicious. Specially the hatch on the Santa fe. The artichoke on the chicken pesto brought it all together.Tried this place for the first time tonight. We got half honey bexar and half pot hole. With a brisket Texas roll. All three were great, but if I had to choose. It was the brisket for the win. The cilantro ranch it came with was really good. Definitely want to try all of them. The fact that you can do half and half at the same price is very accommodating.

Tried the pizza and wings for the first time today. I have to say was very impressed. We tried the 20" half Brisket half meat and the cheese. Wings were lemon pepper and Thai chili. Wings had good flavor but for me I like em a little more crispy but that's just me. Pizza was really good crust was the best I've ever eaten. Very soft and fluffy not hard like or tough like most places. Will definitely be back again.

Wanted to try a new pizza spot and this place hit the spot. I tried a calzone with extra cheese, pepperoni and meat ball. It was delicious. The pretzels and cheese hit the spot as well. I would also recommend the garlic basil ranch. Wasn’t sure if I would like it, but it was really enjoyable. Staff is super friendly. Overall just a great spot.

Fast, friendly and efficient staff. We ordered on line and the pizza was ready on time. While not the best pizza I've ever had, quality was reasonable for the price point. The pizza rolls were the highlight of the meal. I'd have no problem ordering here again.

Despite the photos, the location on O’Conner road does not really have space for indoor seating. They have three tables one of which is covered in pizza boxes. Service was okay, the person taking our order had to be corrected several times and also sold us a bottled root beer even though they were out of it, which wasn’t a big deal just a mild inconvenience. The whole place was filled with pizza smoke. We do end up eating at one of the table and I can definitely smell the smoke on me after leaving. Pizza was okay, ingredients tasted fresh and crust was good. Would maybe order take out from here again.

We went to this place because we read it was a readers choice in San Antonio for pizza in 2025. While the ingredients were fresh, the taste for the Supreme pizza was bland.

We placed an order through DoorDash since Mattenga’s does not deliver to our address. I understand that ordering through a third-party service can sometimes limit what the store is able to do directly. However, the pizza we received was made incorrectly even though the receipt clearly showed the correct order. DoorDash issued a refund of less than $10, which didn’t really resolve the issue considering the order was wrong. I called the store simply hoping for some assistance or guidance, but the response I received was just a quick “sorry” before I was rudely hung up on. Mistakes happen, but the order was clearly correct on the receipt and the lack of basic customer service was disappointing.Edit Order Name was Elijah E placed @ 506pm 3/8
