This place is an absolute must-try. The burgers are perfectly cooked, with a crispy, caramelized crust on the outside while staying juicy and tender on the inside. You can tell they use high-quality ingredients because the flavor is just incredible. The service here is top-notch too! The staff are super friendly and attentive, making sure you have everything you need. It’s clear they really care about giving you a great experience.

I’m a burger guy, so when I heard about this smash burger spot, I had to try ASAP. Pulled up and ordered a double smash, a brew, and onion rings. The space is great, a chill laid back burger joint that has plenty of seating and character. The burger was extraordinary, a classic smash packed with juicy flavor, the onion rings were crispy and delicious and the fries were cut just right with the right amount of crispiness. Someone’s got to tell me what’s in the secret sauce. Overall it was a great experience and I look forward to my next visit.

Burger was incredible, and with the chilies it’s perfection! The Tallow fries with the smalls sauce were perfectly seasoned! Service was friendly and quick even with tons of orders ahead of ours. We will be coming back!

Just what San Clemente was missing! The fries cooked in beef tallow are SO good. I don’t know what’s in the smash sauce, but it’s incredible! A tad pricey, but you get what you pay for!!

The softest bread I have ever had the pleasure of biting into. Perfectly seasoned & crispy beef patties. Shoe string fries with just right amount of salt. Crispy, flavorful onion rings. And I do believe they make their own ranch, because it FOR SURE does NOT come out of a jar! Just all around, HEAVENLY!

My fiance and I went in to try the burgers. And they were amazing! They hooked it up on the jalapeños!!!! The fries and onion rings were so good and crispy. The beef tallow really makes the difference. Beers were down that day but it didn't deter me from wanting to come back and try a cold one! The girl at the register was extremely helpful and I'm pretty sure we met the owner, Alec, who was nothing but friendly and engaging. Love this spot and highly recommend it!!!! Can't wait to go back.

This is the best burger in San Clemente. I like it better than Tanner’s in O-Side. Owner seems like a G, and the food is just so simple and perfect. A tiny bit sterile on the inside environment, but that’s just looking for problems at this point. It’s a 97 out of 100.

Long time listener, first time smasher. I came to this restaurant to see what all the fuss is about and now I see. If you’re looking to go to flavor town look no further. The softness of the bun, the crunchiness of the pickles n peps, that special sauce all coming together in perfect harmony accompanied by friendly staff. And for those reasons, this my new go to burger spot.

Good overall. It’s cool that they cook with beef tallow! We all liked the burger. You get what is expected, but it tastes good. The fries were good as well and have a seasoning on them. I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, but the next time I’m in the area I would come back

For reference I ordered a double smash burger combo, subbed fries for onion rings, and my drink of choice was blue powerade. Onion rings were solid. Great batter and good fry on them. 7.5/10 Burger had great pickles, nice sauce, and the patty was decent. 7/10 Dining areas were very clean and restroom was also well maintained.

2pm I ordered their single patty combo. $19 for a burger, fry boat, and a small sized fountain drink. The burger was tasty if you love grease. The bun was burnt on the inside, and they also had burnt cheese all around the patty. I think for a burnt burger it should be no more than $10. The service was great. The grill master needs more training.

We used to come to this location frequently when it was TJ’s Woodfired Pizza, so that nostalgia may bias my review. First off, the service was great. The staff was very kind and seemed very helpful with questions from customers and ensuring orders were correct. The ambiance is, interesting. It feels a little too modern/fancy for the food being served. It’s a very clean restaurant with minimalist design, looking from the outside you’d expect to be getting an expensive brunch wi the full service, not a hamburger served on cardboard. Once the place filled up, it had a nice chill vibe and was family friendly. The food is honestly a little too pricey for what you get. All food is getting expensive, I get it, but if I go just down the street to Riders, I can get a thick 1/2 lb burger with lots of toppings, for $14. Here, I got one double smash burger (each smash is not very much meat), a side of fries, and a beer. With a 15% tip it was $31 for lunch. That’s ok, but if I’m paying that for lunch, I REALLY need to love the meal or get something that I don’t get anywhere else, not a ‘pretty good’ burger. It should be noted that if you want anything other than cheese, pickles, onions, and sauce for toppings, you will be charged 1-2$ per topping. This is on top of an $18 base price for a double smash. One person in my family is vegetarian, and another is gluten free so I went at a time they couldn’t join since they don’t overtly offer anything for them here. There may be options but I didn’t see them on the menu or on their site. If there is a flavor here that you just really love, it may be worth the price for you to have that simple burger in a nice atmosphere. For me, it’s akin to an In and Out burger at a steep price and it I’m going to pay gourmet burger prices, I have some other spots to go.

Someone else said the inside was moist and juicy - there was not enough thickness for it to be juicy. The bun and grilled onions are the over riding taste. No lettuce. No tomato. The fries are ok and not overly seasoned. The onion rings are the best part. Considering it probably takes only 5 minutes if that to grill a patty this size, service was very slow. We waited 20 minutes for our order and it wasn’t crowded. Better to go across the street for a Habit burger where a single combo costs $13.29. We will not be back and do not recommend it
