I’ve been a fan of 3CAT since they opened. One of my favorite drinks is the mochi mango smoothie with less sweet. It has a nice balance of tart and sweet. The mochi topping is so pleasantly fragrant of sticky rice. My other favorite drink is the mochi barley burst. The black milk tea is super floral and milky tasting, and I love the barley popping boba. It has a nice texture similar to oatmeal. You order on a kiosk or you can order with your Snackpass app. The wait time on weekends is usually really long and it gets crowded.
This is one of my top favorite boba shops in San Diego! I love the strong fragrance of tea and the fact that they use fresh fruits for their fruit tea is a huge thing for me! They also fill up the cup to the max when you order no ice, which is not common at many other tea shops. It will take a while (at least 20 minutes) for your drinks to be ready so I always go right when they just open to avoid the long wait. Parking here is also difficult when it’s the busy time of the day. Nevertheless, I’m still a forever loyal customer :)
Not mention to the wait time here, I must say 3 Cat has so many good drinks. Their green tea is very special and delicious. Idk why people put many bad reviews but it’s still a must-try spot.
Pros: - delicious drinks (peachy lime and icy peach are the current favorites) - nice and fast staff - little cat decorations that my kids love to look for Cons: - parking is a pain (welcome to Convoy 🙃 basically every place here has that problem). There are only 2 spots designated for 3CAT but there is usually a spot along Raytheon Rd and one of the nearby businesses (TLC Auto Repair behind the liquor store) allows for parking on nights and weekends - usually a wait. You can order online, though, so you can plan ahead
The environment is really cute! There is a staff member at the kiosks giving tips on how to order the BOGO and a screen with order numbers and respective wait times, which I think is very organized and convenient. The drinks are very unique too! Their mochi is very good.
We had the Mochi mango. I ordered with less sugar and added the barley popping boba. We waited just 4 minutes to get them. Great quality and fresh ingredients — definitely coming back!
Would rate 3/3!! I ordered one of their most popular drinks, the Mochi Mango, which I liked ($6.75 w/o boba, +$0.75 for boba). Their menu is unique, though there are very limited non-caffeinated options. Order ahead on Snackpass! 📱🐈🐈🐈

+ Tasty drinks, great value for the price - on weekends might be busy, but the ordering system is cool, you can see on the screen remained time and get a text message when it’s ready. Ours was done within 27 minutes Definitely recommend 🌟
My go to option for avocado and mango drinks. They do their best to make the orders come out quickly as usually so many people are ordering there or online. I enjoy the snack pass rewards and haven’t had a bad drink here yet. The wait can be long but ordering ahead helps. Parking is a bit tight but usually you can find a spot on the far end.
I really enjoy the milk tea here, especially with the frequent new arrivals and seasonal specials—it keeps things exciting! However, parking can be quite difficult, and the wait time is often over half an hour. Worth the wait for the tea, but plan ahead for parking and queues.
Got the barley mochi drink and it was good! Couldn't finish it and put it in the fridge and can confirm that it still tastes great the following day. I will say the most annoying thing about this place is the parking situation. They only have 2 reserved parking spots in front and then you have to scour the area for open spots. You have to order at kiosks, so there's no human interaction. And the wait time for drinks is also long.

Tasty boba and friendly service. I love their soybean mousse because it’s lactose intolerant friendly! can get hot at times during busy summer days ALSO DON’T FALL FOR THE PARKING SCAM! just accept the ticket if they threaten you to give you one but don’t pay for anything!!! whatever diamond parking is doing is illegal and a huge annoyance to convoy. I’ve dealt with them in seattle and boston and nothing happens if you don’t pay the ticket lol.
I completely understand the frustration that other reviewers express regarding their restroom situation, ordering time, and access to the shop, but none of these reviews remark on the QUALITY of the boba, of which I believe is some of the best around. The flavor of their teas is very consistent, and they have a great variety of milk teas to choose from. I have never had an issue with their boba being undercooked, stale, or flavorless. The other toppings that they have (mochi, jellies), are also quite good. The drinks are a little pricey for the sizes that you get, but I think that it is worth it all-in-all. Yes, the parking situation here is abysmal and you will most likely have to street-park if their two dedicated spots are taken and if the Diamond parking enforcement people on the other side of the lot are prowling around (their tickets are not legally enforceable btw). You will probably find yourself waiting 30+ minutes for your drink if you visit during the weekend, so my recommendation is to come during the week when it is less busy. 3cat is an additional location of the LA-area-based chain, so I think it would be beneficial for them to move into a bigger, more accessible location and expand their space.

Obviously I went here on a bad night, it was packed line out the door but that’s pretty normal for anywhere in convoy anyways with absolutely no parking. They have those kiosks where you take your own order, which I don’t care about but the software they used make it super janky and the menu confusing to navigate. From what I hear this place being busy is pretty normal, so don’t expect that you can wait inside for your drink. You might get lucky and find a table, but everyone at those tables will be there for a while since they all have been waiting 30+ minutes. Luckily I had a friend next door in another boba place waiting for their drink so we can in there, but everyone one mostly went and sat in their cars. The decor is definitely cute. I waited about 35 minutes to receive this drink, and it was pretty good! I’d said worth the wait, but I wouldn’t wait again. It was one of their matcha drinks, it had a good blended consistency with a very smooth matcha flavor. My only complaint is I like the milk cap, but it was a lot and I didn’t have the option to get like “easy” on the milk cap. There were times I just drinking straight thick milk cap with no matcha and it’s definitely not pleasant…. other than that this place is very popular right now, so go at a good time where you think it won’t be busy or just prepare for a super long wait.
I ordered the mango blended drink, of which the exact name escapes me. The drink itself was very aesthetic and tasted good, although I had way more foam than I expected and even with an order where I submitted “minimum sugar” it was definitely way too sweet. Next time, I’ll have to order no sugar. Additionally, the shop it kind of small and not well-maintained and not that clean. I was trying to have a conversation with a friend there and the music was loud and the air was stuffy so I would say that is a huge downside to the place. In addition, there is no parking available so you have to street park. The WiFi is also slow so I ended up using a hotspot, and there are not many chairs or power outlets available. Overall, next time I would probably mobile order and pick up rather than hang out at the shop, but I would consider coming back and trying another drink.
I was really excited to try this place! The decor was simple and cute. A good amount of seating on a busy Friday evening. Ordering is done at a self kiosk. Menu is limited to matcha and fruity drinks. I tried the Mochi Barley Burst. The mochi was very difficult to drink through a straw and the barley burst was a hard texture. The overall taste lacked flavor and the textures made enjoying the drink difficult.

Mango dew and mango mochi are the best! The rest of the drink are ok but not worth the wait. Service is slow, 2 drinks took 20-25 mins Not many parking, limited seating/ waiting area.
the wait time is extremely long, we waited 40 minutes for 2 drinks ordered in store. the drinks were good but not worth the long wait. the matcha smoothie was good but could do without the cream. there was tons of orders being made and not fast enough. if you're really obsessed with boba/tea I'd say come here but expect to wait or plan ahead. no parking either.

Great Drinks, But Major Flaws The drinks at 3cat are truly unique and delicious—some of the most creative flavors I’ve tried! However, the experience was marred by extremely slow service. The online order wait time was wildly inaccurate (waited 60+ minutes for a "15 minute ready" order). Even worse, a beverage shop with no customer restroom is unacceptable. If you’re encouraging people to stay and enjoy drinks, basic amenities should be provided. Amazing flavors, but poor efficiency and questionable policies. Fix these issues, and it’d be a 5-star spot.
I love 3Cat up in San Gabriel but each time I visit the SD location, it does not live up to their quality. The tea flavor is not as good. It tastes watered down. The soybean mousse topping is one of my favorite boba toppings ever. But this visit was a major disappointment. My sister and I were saying we didn't taste the soybean that much, and when we opened the drinks, there was barely any soybean powder! It cost an extra $1.25 for a hint of flavor. The San Gabriel location covers the entire drink with soybean. Not worth it here.

When they first opened I was going 1x+/week driving from downtown. I’ll always get the mango Mochi. I feel like their quality went down. The drinks now taste like milk with little mango flavor with ice crystal pieces. Idk if I’ll be back );

Extremely poor ordering system. Waited 47 minutes for 3 drinks (Saturday afternoon). 2 drinks were ready 20 minutes earlier and it melted by the time the third drink was ready. The quality is good. But the staff and ordering was bad. Dont go on a weekend or be prepared for wait 45+ minutes. They ahould prioritize drinks ordered in store and not online. A lot of angry and dissatisfied customers!!!

It was ridiculously slow! I don’t understand — I ordered online in advance, but when I got there, I still had to wait over 50 minutes! Were the staff moving in *slow motion* or something? Does preparing the base ingredients take as long as digging for gold? Even a sloth would work faster than this! If the employees can’t keep up and are slowing everyone down, the boss should replace them — otherwise, customers will just go to other bubble tea shops!
