The pizza was great. Salty and savory Italian style. The Margarita noodles was ok but I knew I was taking a chance with it. The drinks weren't watered down and overall a good experience.

Had pizza with the kids at California Pizza Kitchen and it was a great experience. The pizza was fresh and tasty, and the menu had good options for everyone. It’s a nice, comfortable spot for a quick sit-down meal while shopping—perfect for families looking for something fast but still enjoyable.

Timmy Doesn’t Share Food

Always a solid pick when you’re at the mall. The bar service is consistently great—super friendly bartender who actually makes you feel welcome. Food hits the mark every time. My go-to is the Kung Pao Spaghetti—spicy, flavorful, and always satisfying. It’s not a five-star culinary event, but it is reliably good, which counts for a lot.

First time being back at CPK in a long time. Still pretty good. Tried the Mexican street corn for the first time and loved it! Also ordered the old stand by, the California Club pizza. The server finished us to try it with the new cauliflower crust. I was not thrilled by it. Seemed to alternate between too hard or too chewy. I've had better from cook last home ones.

I ordered pasta with zucchini and shrimp. It was all bland, the water had more flavor. The plate was way too expensive for what I received. The shrimp was also not fresh, they all had dark shells. They got three stars instead of two because of the service and friendly staff.

We recently ordered delivery from the California Pizza Kitchen near the DoubleTree in Mission Valley, which resulted in a mixed experience. The kids' mac & cheese was decent and satisfied my little one, though nothing particularly special. We also tried the Waldorf salad with blackened salmon, which was tasty but significantly overpriced for the portion size we received. The spinach artichoke dip (2.5 stars on its own) was particularly disappointing - it lacked the creamy richness you'd expect and seemed to be skimping on both the spinach and artichoke components. The delivery was prompt enough, and ordering was convenient from our nearby hotel. While not terrible, CPK doesn't quite deliver the value you'd expect at this price point. There are better delivery options in the area if you're willing to explore other restaurants in Mission Valley.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

Haven't had CPK in so long, just had to try it out to see if it is still as good as I remembered; unfortunately, I was a bit disappointed. According to the server, one of their most popular dish was Garlic Cream Fettuccini. I ordered it with creamed mushrooms, but turned out to be very dry.

I'd give a solid 2.5 not bad food but not particularly good. Honestly okay food nothing great. The butter cake was just a very dry cake without much flavor, not like the super moist guey flavorful butter cake I'm used to. And waitress forgot the ranch and never brought any.

This is the 4th time in a row I’ve gone to this location and waited over 6 minutes for a hostess to seat me. After seated, I had no less than 4 servers continuously walk past my table without the slightest acknowledgement until almost 12 minutes later I flagged down a busboy. The tables were full of empty dishes, the servers were slow. Finally got a server over to the table, ordered, and it took another 20 mins for my single dish to arrive. It was NOT crowded and more than 1/2 the seats were empty. Four times is too many for this type of service. And I see servers telling people they want 20-25% tips??? YEAH RIGHT!!!

Overall, this visit was pretty underwhelming. The restaurant itself looks nice, but the experience just didn’t live up to expectations. Our server seemed like they didn’t really want to be there — it honestly felt like I was bothering them just by asking for basic things. That kind of energy makes it hard to enjoy your meal. The food was mediocre at best. I ordered one of their pizzas and it was just okay — not bad, but nothing special either. The kids’ pizza, though, was pretty bad. It was dry and flavorless, and even my kids didn’t want to eat it, which says a lot. For the price, I expected a much better meal and better service overall. Definitely not the worst place I’ve ever eaten, but with so many good options in Fashion Valley, I wouldn’t go back here again.

I’m honestly very disappointed about this CPC, I’m usually a big fan of the chain, but the one in Fashion Valley is not it. They have 1 server that was sooo nice and went above and beyond, he was a Latino man he was so sweet. Unfortunately, he was not our server. We unfortunately got another lady and she was not very nice and had a little bit on an attitude. The food was okay, I feel like other locations have a better quality food.

I actually just had the worst dining experience here ever we ordered to go and we were waiting for our food and just sitting at a table and 3/4 of the restaurant was empty and my friend got her pizza first, so she just was eating a bite of her slice that she ordered and also tipped for it to go and then a worker lady came past us and told us we couldn’t eat in store even though we had no outside food and no outside drinks and everything that was bought was from the restaurant and all the other seats were empty around us . So rude, and I’ve never heard of a policy where you can’t eat the restaurants own food inside their own restaurant while we were literally just waiting for the second order to be ready and leaving after. So disappointed in this customer service I have never been more upset at something so small.
