Always great fun here. Exceptional service though deserves to be recognized. Upon entry the doorman Dwayne checked IDs. I was asked to look at the camera - and when I asked why - I was met with “this is an extra security measure to ensure that this is a safe space for women” which… was BEYOND wonderful to hear. Immediately just an extra little bit of comfort and relaxation. Aubrey was a thoughtful And attentive server, adapting to any weird requests we had as a group with curiosity and grace. Just a stellar experience start to finish

every week i have such a wonderful time here! the staff are wonderful, the lesbians are plentiful, and the drinks are delish. the weekend music could sometimes be improved, but the vibes are fantastic and i always feel very safe and comfortable :) also liv the bartender is the besttt

The bartender Liv is not only incredibly kind, but very knowledgeable about mixology. She makes delicious drinks and is SO attentive, even when busy. I love the atmosphere of Gossip Grill, and Liv the bartender is definitely part of the reason!

Liv and Tem really hooked me up in June when I was there visiting! I had just met a girl that I was falling hard for and they both were excellent wing people for me! I've now been dating her since then and preparing my Uhual cross country move to be with her. The drinks were delicious, the food was amazing, and the staff just might help you meet your future wife ;) or just treat you to a great time haha. Gossip is an amazing place where RESPECT & KINDNESS are the cornerstone. My daughter and sister celebrated my daughter's birthday on a Tuesday Kareoke night and we did not want to leave. Everyone was amazingly wonderful. The food and drinks were fabulous. If you want to have a fun time with your friends/ family, if you want to feel safe, if you want to take a respite from the unkinnesses of the world, make Gossip Grille your go to place. I will return happily each time I visit San Diego. I can breath easy knowing my precious girl has a safe place to be herself and relax. Was visiting from New York and we went here twice, once for brunch and once for happy hour and drinks. Very nice atmosphere and the swing chairs around the fire pit were a nice touch. The food at brunch was delicious and they had an Easter egg hunt because we were there for Easter. The staff and bartenders were very friendly and helpful telling us about the local area since we were from our or state and it was our first time visiting. Would absolutely return if I was in the area again!

Stumbled upon this place it was so beautiful and nice!! The bartender was helpful explaining the happy hour menu. Drinks were good we had mimosas and beer, wish I would’ve tried their cocktails but definitely will next time. Food was amazing and was really fresh, can’t wait to come back!!

The food was awesome. The atmosphere was amazing. The service was GREAT (we didn’t get our server’s name but she was so sweet). We don’t have any lesbian bars back home and it felt amazing to be surrounded by so many other queer women. I’m an elder millennial so I loved the music the DJ played. Don’t pay attention to the bad reviews, this place is great and we will be back. ❤️ 🌈

First of all- the music choice there during the day is absolute fire. It’s like all throw back pop punk and I was so happy lol. The burger was honestly shockingly good. Like one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. The grilled cheese and tomato soup were really great too. Obviously super gay friendly and great staff. Loved it!

Amazing bar with a terrific happy hour. The only reason I’m giving 4 instead of 5 stars is that their website isn’t up to date. The website said they had standup comedy tonight but the bar tender said they haven’t had standup in months. Clearly a lack of communication between management and marketing - downside is you’re wasting peoples’ time and money with this false advertising.

Well seasoned and good portion size. Drinks were pretty standard. Specials- I went on a Thursday and drinks were $4. What a great deal. Space- love the outdoor and indoor space. Nice amount of room for sitting and eating, dancing, or hanging around. Comedy- got to join got their inaugural comedy show. It was hysterical. $15 plus $20 food/ drinks.

We love this bar and will always support, but lately it has been extremely challenging. The music is GOD AWFUL. Not just my opinion. I’ve seen several posts/threads on social media complaining of the exact same thing. This lovely place will lose business because of this. We have been here several times in the last month and I can count on one hand how many songs were played from the last decade. No hate on the classics, but there is literally NOTHING FROM THE LAST TEN YEARS. It’s sounds like bad wedding music. It’s UNBEARABLE. The DJs do not read the room. No one is moving, yet they continue through the playlist of terrible songs from 15 years ago. No one wants to hear shots or anything from Chris Brown? How tone deaf do you have to be to play songs from a known, serial abuser of women at a lesbian bar?! It’s gotten so predictable and repetitive that I’ve been able to guess the next song. I have been sitting here for the past two hours and not a single song has been played from literally the last ten years. Gossip would be unstoppable if they fixed this music problem. PLEASE.

I love this place, I think Moe is an incredible human being, and everyone who works here, but the DJ’s are the bottom of the barrel 2006 wedding DJ’s and won’t play anything in the last 10 years. It’s literally embarrassing. We will joke about “shot shot shot” playing and it will come on. They play CHRIS BROWN as a lesbian bar, who is a serial woman abuser at a lesbian bar. No one moves and the 50 year old DJ thinks they EAT when no one is moving. I LOVED when 2 years ago all my gay guy friends loved coming with us because gossip was fun, we can’t drag people to gossip now because of the music is consistently bad. My sisters and I got kicked out with no explanation. The security guy falsely claimed that my sister was falling asleep (she was not drunk nor falling asleep) and said that they would talk to us outside and just pushed us out. We will not be coming back, as this was the most inhospitable interaction we could’ve experienced from the staff. Meanwhile older women were touching younger girls and making them uncomfortable.
