Very good food and friendly staff. A great big space, very open and welcoming. No one does duck like Jasmine, its always so good here. Get it with the jasmine pickled cucumber for a great contrasting flavor. Finish with a mango pudding for a good light and sweet flavor to end your meal.
Excellent service from the ladies pushing the dim sum carts! Quick service from them once we sat down. When we wanted something but not in the cart, the lady would go to kitchen and order for us. We appreciated very much for the friendly, courteous and going above and beyond services. Dim sum were delicious. Crispy pork belly were with good seasoning, crispy skin and the right portion of lean:fat meat.
A very good Chinese restaurant with large portions and excellent flavor. The variety of dishes is impressive, offering many different and authentic flavors. One of the best parts is the traditional cart service—servers come by with carts and you choose the dishes you want on the spot. A fun and delicious experience.
Amazing dim sum experience at Jasmine Seafood! Ate a lot more than was able to take pictures of, loved the buns, xiao long bao, shrimp and pork dumplings, cucumber salad, and more. Friendly service that is always going around with carts of food and water and tea refills. Beautiful dining room, great for groups of any size. Recommend!
Been coming to this location for 15 years! We have been to China so definitely feel that this restaurant represents the accurate dim sum experience. Always appreciate the carts that have fresh food! Great selection of options. We also love how you can take your time or go in and out super fast. The staff is always so great. Even if a cart hasn’t been out for a bit with something you are looking for, they will go out of their way to find it! Would definitely go with someone who has had dim sum before because it can feel overwhelming if you don’t know how to order! Been our tradition going for dim sum on Sundays! Always a great cure for a hangover too haha
Update review: We brought our brothers family come to try dim sum, since our nephew and niece haven’t had it yet. The whole experience is very enjoyable. Foods are nice, my favorites are daikon rice cake, coconut slices bread, shrimp dumplings and chaShao Buns~ the roasted duck is delicious as well. Although they are delicious, their price goes higher, now it’s kinda pricy. I attached their new price in the photos. Previous update: This place becomes my favorite dim sum place in San Diego. So many friends recommended Jasmine Restaurant to us and finally we came to try it out. We came here at Saturday morning around 10:30, it takes 10 minutes for us two to get seated, which is not long at all. Their whole interior looks very classic and authentic. The foods are very authentic too. They push the carts to you and you can pick whatever you want. Their speed is fast so you don’t need to wait long at all to get foods. And their service is really nice as well. I’ll definitely bring family and friends come back here soon.
We live in MN so dim sum restaurants are very scarce. So every time we travel to a big city, we make it a point to find a good dim sum spot. We were seated within 10 minutes and even before we settled in our seats the first two carts rolled by with some of our favorites, crab claw balls and shrimp balls. And they just kept coming. The wait staff were friendly and checked on us the right amount of times. Food was delightful and I got my dim sum fix for the vacay. Great food great service! By the time we left there was a huge line out the door. So glad we came at 10:45am and not 12 on a Sunday.
A great dim sum place. I would recommend this to anyone. Great service and tasty food. I've had there regular lunch and dinner and it just as good if not better. The orange donut like item in the picture is amazing. A mix of a dinner roll, Krispy cream donut and orange. The pork buns and wonton soup are great as well.

Food, service and ambience all are 5 stars! Me and my sister's go to for our Dimsum fix! Go early and wait in line before they open. Always packed!
Always the best hot and sour soup, dim sum and my favorite Lobster Cantonese in either ginger/scallion or black bean sauce. Both are delicious!!! Everything is delicious and always has been.

This is a great place to get dim sum, which I think is above average in terms of selection and quality. The restaurant is spacious and has a nice ambiance. The dim sum price is reasonable.

Visited Jan 22, 2023 Great: The food was fresh and the staff worked fast to get people settled at their tables. The carts kept moving along, so it didn't take long for our table to fill up with food. Throughout the lunch the staff kept our teapot and water glasses full. The owner came by to greet everyone in line and also in the restaurant. Good: The decorations were great. The line to get in was long, which was surprising. The lion dancers were really cool and even did a parking lot show after they danced inside the restaurant. So many families wanted selfies and it was nice that they obliged. The restaurant brought out food and water for the dancers. Bad: They didn't have egg tarts. I think they ran out early and it also could be impacted by the current egg prices.
3.5 stars. In terms of Dim Sum in San Diego (not comparing to LA), Jasmine has always been one of the better spots. Is there better Dim Sum outside of San Diego? Yes, but realistically you won’t want to drive hours for it. The carts are pushed around like the traditional Dim Sum style here. Service - it’s gotten better. Our main waiter was kind and was very courteous with us - the ladies that push around the carts were friendly Food - Not bad but felt a little off. Was more on the bland side - the Siu Mai had some weird pork filling that got all over the dim sum holder - the highlight was the chicken feet and the baked custard bun Environment - Bustling with many carts pushed around - decorations were nice with the red covered chairs

This is the worst dim sum I've ever tried. The food is cold, bland, and expensive. I recommend going to Diamond Palace or OC instead.
Better description of food and prices. service was mediocre. Food quality was fair, not worth the trip.

Parking can be challenging. Street parking is free but you will need to walk. Pretty large place. Actual carts you choose your dim sum. Everything was ok. Nothing spectacular. I wanted to try the sticky rice shrimp balls- it’s my favorite. They were too dense. Also pretty pricey. Service was good.
I have gone to Jasmine for several years. I think for Dim Sum in Dan Diego their food is very good. It really has the Hong Kong taste. The only thing about this restaurant is the atmosphere (it really needs to be remodeled as it feels old and worn-out). The furniture and interior of the restaurant just needs to be redone. If you just want good Dim Sum, this place has good Dim Sum. If you want a nice dining experience there are nicer places to go for ambience.
Confusing restau entrance , Hard to find a parking and it is paid parking. No host to welcome and greet you so y’all gonna be confused if there’s an event and they’re not taking more customers . Waitress is pretty annoying lol. The service definitely needs improvement. Food was alright but nothing special.

Food is decent. Communication barrier. They will tell you food is ready, but it's not. Ne prepared to wait for certain dishes. This could have been a good place if they had better customer service.
This review is specifically for new customers, as regular customers or the owner may not care about this feedback. I visited this restaurant several years ago (my last visit was before COVID). I used to get takeout here once in a while and remembered it as a decent dim sum place. Visiting it again was a complete disappointment. While some dishes were still good (like the shumai and ha gao), almost half of what we ordered was cold and dried out. The charcoal lava bao was a big no. It was clearly a frozen bun (frozen buns from 99 ranch are even better than this bun). The biggest disappointment was the crispy pork belly (listed as the pork BBQ plate). It was completely cold and super greasy. They sliced the pieces so thick that it was hard to enjoy. Also, there were no price displayed. I thought the hot tea was free because they always served it, even after I told them I only wanted water. It turned out to be $5.98 per person. Lunch for two cost us $107 before tips :/ Before we stepped in, we noticed there was no line. I remember it used to be so crowded that we had to wait about 10 minutes to be seated. Now, I finally understand why.
My wife said to me, “if people think this is good dimsum, I feel sad for them”. That pretty much sums it up. It satisfied the craving I guess but it was just okay. The duck tasted old and the meat was crumbling apart. It was not good duck. Salt baked squid of only tentacles? How annoying. Everything else was just okay. Service was 5/5.

Absolute worst dim sum I’ve ever had. Everything we ordered except for the black bean pork spareribs was terrible - just not fresh and it was obvious in the soggy dumpling skin and steamed bread. My boyfriend and I were very disappointed as it was our last meal in San Diego and were hoping for some good authentic food. Definitely also way overpriced for how mid it was.
