The Best Sushi in Carmel Valley! Every time I come here, it’s simply the best. I’ve tried other places, but I always find myself coming back, realizing that this is where the most delicious sushi is served. The presentation is amazing, and the flavors are unmatched. Came in by myself around lunch time on New Year’s Day and I’m soooo happy that I did! Right away, the staff and sushi chefs greeted me with a warm welcome, and my server was also very kind and super accommodating. The FOOD HERE IS AMAZING!!! Good price and high quality products. Sushi 🍣 was super fresh! Avo🥑 was perfect! Rice 🍚 was on point! This is my new favorite sushi place in San Diego. I also noticed a lot of locals were dining and enjoying themselves too. Can’t wait to come back. Thank you guys!

This restaurant was extremely good. The food was amazing and fresh. The service was good even though it was busy. For the amount of food that we got for 106$ to feed all three of us was more than enough, but good. I highly recommend this place. Dine in and takeout is excellent. They have a huge menu, but i like to keep it simple with avocado rolls, California rolls , and 1 of their excellent specialty rolls. They have one of the best drink specials in all of Carmel valley, 2 beers + house sake 🍶 for under 10 dollars. I like to sit at the sushi bar and chat it up with the sushi chefs. Tony and Juan are my favorite, both very nice. Prices are reasonable . Family owned . This is my favorite local spot.

Very good. Lots of options on the menu and everything was delicious and quick. We had hand rolls and rice-less rolls aside from specialty rolls and all of them were fantastic. Will definitely be coming back!

This restaurant is a Japanese restaurant, the sushi is delicious. They have a lot of flavors and different types fish, and they have a udon and noddle. They have seafood, beef, vegetables, for this two types noddle.and they have sushi boat, with is really chipp and is really delicious, and at lunch the price will be more chipper.

Delish!!! I was craving goood sushi and thought to check Katana out bec I was in the area. So so delish, fish was soo fresh and tasty! I ordered the Crunchy Philly and Spicy Cilantro. Loved them, very satisfying! The restaurant is beautiful too, unfortunately due to covid I couldn't dine in, but took the food to go and ate at home for dinner.

Their “Rock ‘n Role” sushi roll was fantastic. Their shrimp tempura was the the best I’ve ever had.

Rose is the best. We’re regulars here and she always takes good care of us. She made a great rec on the bulgogi and kimbab combo. My wife loved it and so did I! I can’t recommend this place enough. Ask for Rose!

Friendly service. Food is not bad, but definitely not the best. Prices are average. A little bit slow service, so you'll spend there approximately 45 minutes at lunch time.

Went to Katana on a Sunday evening at 5:45PM. No problem parking. We were seated within 5 mins. The restaurant looks about 80% full. They have good business on a Sunday evening. Service: 2 stars. We ordered our dinner and got our drinks within reasonable time. Strangely, the waitress thought that we can’t finish what we ordered. Our food took quite some time to arrive at the table. The table behind us came later but got their food 15 minutes earlier than us. The waitress never bother to come back to our table to 1)refill hot water for the hot tea nor water glasses; 2)check on us if we wanted to order more. We actually haven’t eaten much all day and wanted to order more. Food: 3.5 stars. The Katana boat C: the sushi rice was soft and fresh. The sashimi was fresh but was cut thinner compared to another local sushi restaurant. The overall experience at Katana was just OK at best.
