This place is without a doubt, one of the best Italian dining experiences San Diego has to offer. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere is warm, inviting, and authentically Italian. It truly deserves every one of its five stars. I started with the Octopus Salad, and it was an absolute revelation. The octopus was perfectly tender—a feat that so many restaurants struggle with—and paired beautifully with fresh, bright flavors that made for a delicate and memorable start to the meal. For the main course, I chose the Lasagna, and it was the highlight of the evening. It was rich, layered with magnificent, tender pasta sheets, savory ragù, and just the right amount of creamy béchamel. This is true comfort food executed with precision and passion. It tasted like it was made in an Italian nonna's kitchen. To finish, the dessert was the perfect capstone. It was a delightful blend of textures and sweetness that concluded the meal on a high note without being heavy. The service was impeccable throughout—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely friendly. Parma is an absolute gem! The Paloma appetizer with sausage was out of this world – full of flavor and the perfect start to our meal. The pasta was so fresh and delicious, it left us wanting more with every bite. The staff was outstanding – attentive, friendly, and truly made us feel welcome. I had the pleasure of being served by Barbara at Parma Restaurant and I honestly can’t speak highly enough of her. From the moment we were seated, Barbara was warm, professional, and incredibly attentive without being intrusive. She has that perfect balance of friendliness and efficiency that makes you feel genuinely welcome and well taken care of. She knew the menu inside out, made excellent recommendations, and ensured everything was timed perfectly—from drinks to mains to dessert. What really stood out was her attention to detail and her ability to anticipate our needs before we even had to ask. You could tell she genuinely cares about her customers and takes pride in her work. Barbara’s service elevated our dining experience to something really memorable. Parma is lucky to have her—she’s a true gem and an absolute asset to the team. We’ll definitely be back, and we’ll be asking for Barbara again!

My husband and I had the most wonderful evening here. The food was absolutely delicious and very authentic Italian. We ordered the burrata and arugula salad that was perfectly seasoned with olive oil and balsamic drizzle. We followed that with tortellini in a prosciutto cream sauce that was to die for and ended with meatballs in a rose sauce that was also so delicious. The restaurant, knowing it was our anniversary surprised us with some vanilla gelato that was like something you’d only get in Italy. Great food and ambience is of course is what attracted us but it was the addition of the lovely Roberta who served us and the owner who is from Rome who really helped make the night so memorable. Thank you both. We’ll be back next time we’re in town!

Best 4 cheese gnocchi and tiramisu since Rome! Fantastic. Gelato is among the best we have had outside of Italy. Staff was great and spoke with the owner who spent years in Rome restaurants- it showed. Better than anything I have had in the little Italy area here in SD. You want the real thing- this is it!

I am from NY and when I tell you this place is legit, I mean it. The food was amazing, and the staff was genuinely kind and attentive. Lasagna, wow. Walnut pesto with shrimp, amazing. Tortellini, delicious. Ravioli, fantastic. I dare you to not eat the entire tiramisu. 10 out of 10. I will be coming back here many more times. Yummm!!!!

Absolutely amazing experience! The food and service were both incredible from start to finish. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. I highly recommend this place especially the Profiteroles alla Nutella, which was the highlight of the meal. Can’t wait to come back!

This review is from about a year ago but for some reason Google didn't post until now 😅 Amazing ❣️ We went without reservation around 610 ish on a Tuesday, and it was pretty relaxed. It had a cozy atmosphere. The food was amazing-- we had the Tues-Date special, and it was a mixed seafood risotto (which we asked to be changed into linguini; best choice we've made). We also had the tortellini and vongole, which were great. The food was perfectly portioned, and we enjoyed the dinner from the beginning to the end. Also, I definitely recommend getting the lemon sorbet at the end! We ordered one appetizer, 4 main (2 special menu), 3 desserts, 2 glasses of wine. One note: due to the location, it is quite difficult to find a space to park.

This is the third time I visit Parma Cucina Italiana and I definitely will be back again, again and again. The food is beyond delicious. Roberta, the Italian girl is the best waitress ever, even the owner came to say Hi 👋. Definitely a place you want to be back. 👌🏻👌🏻

Cute little restaurant. The main courses (secondi) are delicious, but beware the portions are quite small. They average about $25-28/dish. The pasta dishes seem to be bigger and perhaps more satistying. They also average about the same price. Tiramisu was delicious and that serving was rather large. Service was great! Would recommend:)

Absolutely wonderful service and wine and sea food. Atechokes app was terrific! Worst meatballs I have ever had. Dry tasteless. Subway has better meatballs. My wife and I loved everything else.
