Hands down an amazing adobada taco I’ve had in a while and to think it was just me for my personal preference. BOYYY LET ME TELL YOU 5/5 stars. SO TASTY
I grew up eating here in the early 2000's happy to see its still around. My whole family messed with this taco shop. I love in Minnesota now and the Mexican food is terrible.
My family has been eating here since i attended adams elemtary in the early 2000s. They have the best carne asada fries.
Very solid spot with good food and prices, perfect for late night cravings since they're open way past midnight. Got the carne asada fries and the carne asada was cooked wonderfully, not overcooked and chewy like I've had at other places. Fries were absolutely loaded with guac, cheese, and sour cream. Be sure to ask for some pico on the side! Absolutely perfect. If I'm ever out late again, I'd come here for sure :)
When I was in my time of need during a family emergency on Christmas night at 11:30 PM, this place served me up!!! After driving to other spots only to realize they were closed because they never updated Google Maps, this place was OPEN and offered the best bean and cheese burrito in all of San Diego at a reasonable price! And I don't say that lightly, as I grew up in Chula Vista/National City and am Mexican. GO TO THIS TACO SHOP THEY ARE HARDWORKING PEOPLE WHO CARE ABOUT QUALITY MEXICAN FOOD ❤️
This place has amazing Mexican food. They have all the good stuff your used to, and some plates and items not seen at most other taco shops. Portions are big, the hot sauce is good, employees are nice. The one thing that sucks is the parking... But that's most places on Adams Ave.
So check it i was born and raised in sd now I live in Florida asked my cousins to bring me some burritos from our childhood taco stop and guess what?..... They got here and tasted just as good as I remembered next time I'm in SD this is the first place imma stop at cuz they let them know where the burritos were headed and packed in the love see yall soon much love from florida
When everything else is closed, you can rest assured there will be food here. And delicious too! Had their carne asada fries and I highly recommend!
Good Mexican restaurant. The dishes, at least the meats, need *just* a little bit more salt and I'd be there almost daily.
Good california burrito filled with creamy guac and sour cream. Wish there was a bit more carna sada but good enough to eat on a empty stomach.
Large drink more like a small that's my only complaint.
Good rolled tacos but it's extremely hot inside and there are flies everywhere. Probably wouldn't go back because of the flies since it could be a good safety issue
The boys are a bit too relaxed & suspiciously comfortable for just another taco shop open after-hours, if you catch my drift!!! Food is always good and they are quick. If any faster, I would be worried!
I normally like this place but I have no idea why my food was not that great this time around. I ordered some rolled tacos but I didn't check them 'till I got home. Some smeared guac and no lettuce. 🙃 Also, make sure to always ask for a receipt. There's also a card fee. . *Went back for the lettuce and guac.
Ordered a California burrito with no pico. Super disappointed they left the guacamole out too. It’s alright but not what I was expecting to eat when I got home. Guess I’ll have to cut into it to check before I leave next time.
The California burrito is just okay but you can get better elsewhere and nearby. The adobada torta isn’t good. The bread doesn’t hold up and while the meat is flavorful, it doesn’t belong on the torta. It was soggy and lacked flavor, the portion of meat was small compared to bread and lettuce. Perhaps I’d return and order other menu items like the rolled tacos which people seem to like here.
Good late night mexican/taco shop. Ordered Carne Asada fries which were a good size and tasted OK. The salsas were half empty but tested OK.
I was excited to return after having been here on a previous visit to San Diego. Visually the food looked amazing. Though not bad it wasn't as good as last time. Not much flavor to the chimichanga nor the guacamole. The chimichanga was mostly tortilla with very little filling. The beans and rice were bland. Hopefully it was just an off day. We'll definitely try again.
This place doesn't open at 6. I got there and there was no posted hours! Nowhere to be seen on the door or the windows.
Ordered a bean and cheese burrito and the cheese tasted off. I ended up getting food poisoning the next day. Very bummed as I want to give the benefit of the doubt to a local business but the food made me vomit for two days :(
