First time here! I wanted to order everything. I settled for the Beet and Avocado Bowl and added chicken and the mango tart with Strawberry Dragonfruit juice. Ever was perfect. I could have shared. I finished my drink before my to-go order was ready. The lady that handed me my order offered a refil and I happily accepted! Will return the next time I’m in San Diego!

First time eating at this place. Ordered the grass fed beef medium rare and it arrived more like med well. Robert dropped off the meal and when I shared I had ordered it Med Rare, he quickly offered to take it back and make it right. He went around the restaurant ensuring customers were doing well. He was a very gracious and friendly. We’ll certainly come back as we felt welcomed and appreciated.

We were greeted by a friendly face that made us feel very welcome. Ellie was really kind and hospitable. The food came out quickly and the atmosphere is really chill paired with a sweet playlist. It made our family outing very enjoyable! Definitely coming back!

We both had the braised beef with mushrooms and gravy. It comes with their amazing mashed potatoes also. It's all very homemade and compare it to a French beef stew minus the wine sauce. Truly delicious!! Thank you to Robert from the Mission Valley location for approaching our table and making sure we had everything we needed. He made our experience at Urban Plates much more enjoyable, a true gentleman.

Absolutely incredible first time here! This is the first restaurant we chose to enjoy once arriving here from North Carolina and the menu is flawless. Beautiful pictures of each dish, all nutritional info needed to count your macros if needed and the food tastes delicious with flavor that would be in high class restaurants! We chose to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful weather and they had a server named Robert coming through to check on each table. He was so kind and attentive! Checked on us multiple times, took our plates, offered any extras we might need and suggested the delicious cookie that we definitely tried! What amazing service, atmosphere, quality of food and worth every penny.

Great place! Lots of space and options for eating! We were immediately greeted by Ellie! She was so sweet and helpful. She gave great recommendations ! We tried both of the cookies and both were yummy! I preferred the cowgirl cookie it was so yummy! I got the tomato soup and salad. I wasn’t a huge fan. My husband got the chicken tortilla soup and that was better! I tried my friends truffle fries and that was so yummy! The Mac and cheese was okay. I loved my cantaloupe mango drink! So refreshing!

We came here on Christmas eve and I was very disappointed. All of our food came out cold. It took forever for us to get our drinks and we were missing one of them. My husband got the steak and paid extra for the aioli and they brought it to him in a little container and it wouldn't melt because the steak was cold. They took the food when I complained and popped it in the oven for a few minutes and gave it back and it was still cold. Thankfully the manager gave us a full refund. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say that they were just overwhelmed with the orders because of the holiday. I went here based on the good reviews and would hope they're not serving that quality of food on any other day.

Ana was our server and was incredibly nice and helpful. She made the process of ordering smooth. Items are a bit overpriced. Paid $18 for a simple salad, that is tasty, but not worth that steep of a price for salad. Shoutout to Ana though! Glad we got to order through her!

I had high hopes for this place, the reviews and pictures of the food looked outstanding, but when I got my food I was mildly disappointed. The positive’s are that the presentation of the food and the taste was pretty good, as well as the price of the meal, but on the other hand the portions are pretty small and I’m only a little 122 lb lady that doesn’t require a-lot of food to fill me up but it was like a snack to me, and the steak was so so so chewy & hard to swallow I had to stop eating it so I wouldn’t choke. Pretty bummed out because it tasted good!

At best this food is mid. At its worst it’s a gross over exaggeration of “organic” food. The soupy mashed potatoes feel/taste like they were powdered, the Mac and cheese is reheated noodles that barely have any cheese, and the braised beef tastes like it’s rehydrated and it was made with cheap beer instead of red wine. Overall a horrible experience but I hadn’t eaten the whole day so I wanted something somewhat quick and nice. At least it was somewhat quick.
