Sorry just had to correct the fact that this place is not 100 dollars a person wth the menu starts at 35.99 and goes up to 55.99 I think but it is definitely not 100 dollars a person. 4.5 honestly. Good food great spot lots of parking
The food was great service was excellent. We had a party of 7 and one baby. Ate meat and kimchi. We ate Very little rice to get our money’s worth. They even gave us beer on the house. The only issue was that they couldn’t split the bill more than 3 ways. My poor friend from New York got so stressed he went outside to smoke a rolled cigarette.
Great, quality food. Confusing waitlist. Excellent atmosphere. Lots of good choices at a fair price. "Basic" all you can eat (which includes more than enough options) starts at $45.99.
everything was great! the interior is cute. the brisket was astounding. the service was excellent. the patio is pet/dog friendly as well! we came around 10 since we saw they close at 11- but heads up they actually take last call around 9:45. but shoutout to the employees who let us in last night and took care of us regardless, making sure we got a couple rounds in- you guys rock! we will be back ❤️
Absolutely loved this place! The food at 356 BBQ is incredibly tasty, fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The staff is genuinely adorable and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. Everyone was super friendly and attentive without being overbearing. The atmosphere is cozy but vibrant, and the service is quick. A perfect spot to enjoy authentic Korean BBQ. Can’t wait to come back!
I recently dined at 356 Korean BBQ and had an outstanding experience. The service was great, with attentive staff ensuring that our needs were met promptly and courteously. The value for money was impressive, offering a wide variety of delicious options at reasonable prices. The highlight, however, was the quality of the meat. The cuts were exceptional, perfectly marbled, and incredibly flavorful. Update: had another fantastic experience here. This place does not disappoint.
As a regular at 356 Korean BBQ and Bar in San Diego, I can confidently say it’s always an amazing experience! The vibrant atmosphere and top-notch quality of the meat make each visit special. The variety and taste of the side dishes never disappoint, and the staff’s friendly and attentive service adds to the ultimate dining experience. Weekend dinner time can be super busy with a long wait, but it’s definitely worth it. Whether you’re a long-time fan or new to Korean BBQ, this restaurant is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
356 is a big kbbq joint located at the mall so parking is ample It has a huge amount of seating and a huge variety of menu. However, it is very busy especially on the weekends. There is a long waitlist on yelp usually so please be sure to join online to make everything seamless and easy to sit down fast. They have a few menus to choose from, we chose the higher end one which included wagyu. That menu lets you get one order per person, which is more than enough if you just keep ordering it since 10 items is a lot. The vibes were very rave like as the music was similar to edc’s playlist. Servers are very attentive and super fun to talk to. We paid about $65 per person for the wagyu menu so def on the pricier end but def worth a celebration
This place was quite an experience. The time limit was unexpected until it was explained that it was just for the food. 55$ gives you an hour and a half of kitchen availability. The drinks were amazing and the food was delicious. The portion sizing was great. I wish I could eat more to have an even better time. The servers were attentive even without pushing the call button.
I would like to start my review by rating the customer service provided by Kathy, Kathy took her time explaining how the menus work, and she paid attention to all my needs. She kept our food going and replaced the grills as needed. Placed meet on the grill for me, and when she did that, it felt as if she was doing it with care. Kathy, you did a job well done. The place was nice, this is definitely a restaurant where you can bring your kids and whole family. The food quality was decent. All the meats looked and tasted good also. Make sure to put yourself on the waiting list by walking up to the door where you will find a table to put in all your info. You have to get yourself in the wait list even if the place is empty or you are the first one to arrive or they will not call your name up.
356 KBBQ is located within the Mission Valley Center mall and so there are plenty of parking spaces. The restaurant is in the same place where Seau's used to be located. It is next to Buffalo Wild Wings. We visited 356 KBBQ on a Saturday evening and it was crowded. We had to wait over 30 minutes to be seated outdoor. While waiting, the smell of the BBQ meat was making us very hungry. When we were called to the hostess counter, we had to select our BBQ menu. There are three price points to choose from. We chose the medium price point, which was $55.99/person for dinner with the lunch price being $46.99. At the price point we selected, there are definitely some premium cuts of meats to choose from, but the premium cuts are only one per person. They do offer a premium package that offers dry aged steaks and Wagyu beef. After selecting the bbq menu option, hostess took us to our outdoor seating. We had to talk through the restaurant in order to get to the outdoor patio seatings. We passed by the refrigerator units holding various cuts of meats. Restaurant is a spacious, lofty, modern restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. We liked the bronze colored, Liberty Bell exhaust hoods used to capture the smoke from the grills. There was brick facade throughout the restaurant and the place was well ventilated despite all the smoke that people produced from cooking the meats. Kpop music was playing which gave a trendy and upbeat vibe. Loved the non-traditional Korean BBQ ambiance/vibes of this restaurant. We ordered the various dishes throughout our dining experience at 356 KBBQ: Rib Eye Steak, Pork Belly, Slice Short Rib, Grilled Bulgogi, Beef Short Rib, 356 Beef Brisket, Beef Brisket Belly, Beef Tongue, Corn Cheese, Glass Noodles, Kimchi, Cucumber Kimchi, salad, radish, and even pho (surprisingly delicious). Servers were quick getting the meats and side dishes out. We loved that they offered different grills and especially loved the charcoal grill flavor the best! Waitstaff did change out the grill tops often depending on the meats we ordered. Beef quality has exceeded our expectations. Thick cuts of meats were worth the high price point as they were hearty, and savory. Every single type of meat was delectable and tasty. Plenty of side dishes to choose from. We loved cooking the corn cheese on the grill to make the cheese gooey. Servers were very attentive, courteous and informative. We would recommend this AYCE Korean BBQ restaurant and will be back again to satisfy our Korean BBQ craving.
The staff member who greeted us at the entrance (a woman with short hair) was unhelpful when we tried to change the grill plate according to the menu instructions. she repeatedly discouraged it and insisted we shouldn’t. After that, each time she brought our dishes, she placed the plates on the table very harshly and walked away immediately. We said “thank you” multiple times and received no response. To be fair, the other servers were very friendly and attentive, which made this one person’s attitude stand out even more.
The quality and flavor of the food is good but the service is not so good. More than once we either didn't get what we ordered at all or they gave us different meats. We got some sides that we didn't even ask for. Servers aren't very attentive, in the span of almost 2 hours we were only able to order 3 times. I gave it another shot today but it was the same as the first time. I'll probably stick with Handoo from now on, their service is top notch.
Never going back and never recommending this place. Our server Mathew was that common denominator for the bad experience. Mathew offers the treatment of a bar tender, he treats you nice and makes you confortable then once you are no longer making profit he starts changing the experience for you to leave. The hostess was great, the lady that assisted us a few times was great, the guy with long hair that fixed our grill was also great, but our server Mathew just killed it. We were a party of 7, all marrried adults in our 30's, well behaved, no alcohol involved, simply looking for a good Sunday. Us males can eat and Mathew did not like that. Our grill even lit up in flames because so much grease left on the grease catcher and we did not even think anything of that, which took about 15 mins to get back on track, but Mathew was just not a nice server. This guy's deserves a 10 dollar tip and not the 18% of our $500 check. Go somewhere else for korean bbq bbq!
I’ve been to 356 several times. I had an unpleasant experience in my last visit, I had to order twice to get my food. For some reason, whenever I order some appetizers or rice, it would never be served unless I explicitly tell them again. The first round of appetizer didn’t come until I almost finish my meat (about 30 minutes after I ordered them). To me, this kind of service is unacceptable, considering it’s lunch time during weekday, and there’s only like 5 tables of people. Another unpleasant experience happened about several months ago. A waiter came to us and told us to “not waste food”because we ordered a set of garlic/jalapeño and did not finish the jalapeño. I don’t want to argue but I think that’s ridiculous. I go to kbbq restaurants almost every other week and I visited all San Diego’s kbbq place and was never treated like that. Honestly, the meat quality at 356 was great for AYCE and that’s why I visited them again even after my first unpleasant experience, but the service has a lot of room for improvement. I also wrote feedback to their website email but ever hear back. And I likely will never visit them again because you get much better experience, and same quality (or better) meat at other non-AYCE bbq restaurants if you spend 60 -70 dollars per person.
