Opinions de Veganic Thai San Diego
Amazing vegan restaurant! As a non-vegan, they really leave me satisfied and coming back for more! On my second trip here, I ordered spring rolls and potato samosas for appetizers. Masaman curry (w fried tofu) and Pad Thai (w/ soy chicken) for my two entrees. Spring rolls were great, and the potato samosas were so full of flavor! And the dipping sauces just elevated them Eben more. The masaman curry was definitely the star of the show. The layering of flavors - so rich and sweet - will have you scraping the bowl. And the contrasting textures of the fried tofu just makes everything even better. SUPERB! The Pad Thai was also very enjoyable. Lots of different flavors going on. I could go without the purple cabbage, but that didn't dampen the dish whatsoever. All in all, Veganic Thai is a gem for all of San Diego. Vegans and non vegans alike will definitely enjoy themselves here.
Best Thai food I’ve ever had! I had the green curry and was blown away. It was so flavorful, creamy, fresh and had the perfect amount of spice. The tofu was delicious and of course the best part is that the restaurant is 100% vegan. The menu clearly labels glutenfree options and the staff is very friendly. It’s also very reasonably priced for San Diego. Can’t wait to come back!
Absolutely phenomenal! Yesterday was my first time trying Veganic. I’ve heard about how amazing it is and the hype was well deserved. I got Tom Kha with steamed soy chicken and yellow curry with steamed soy duck. The curry had a nice kick even at mild and both dishes were extremely flavorful. The duck was my favorite protein. Excellent texture and cooked perfectly. The chicken wasn’t my favorite but I imagine it would be better fried. It was a little mushy for my preference but overall everything was amazing and I’ll be back soon!
This is a restaurant I’ve seen in the media for a long time. What made me want to try it wasn’t just the menu, but the owner’s character — friendly and truly attentive to customers. When I finally get there, the atmosphere is great, the food is high quality, and the service makes you feel comfortable from the very first step inside. If you like places with a real “identity,” I highly recommend it. I’ll be going very soon too.
I was starved and Veganic Thai Cafe was a real saver! The food came out timely, by a kind server, and was very delicious! I recommend all folks traveling and local in the area to support this local vegan joint!
Veganic is one of those rare vegan restaurants that instantly wins you over from the first bite and keeps impressing you long after the meal is over. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt welcoming and comfortable, making it a great place to enjoy flavorful Thai food done completely plant based. The menu is well thought out, and you can really tell that care and intention go into every dish, especially when it comes to balancing spices, textures, and freshness. I ordered the yellow curry, and it was absolutely amazing. The sauce was rich, creamy, and perfectly seasoned, with bold flavors that never felt overwhelming. The vegetables were fresh and cooked just right, soaking up the curry while still keeping their texture. It was warm, comforting, and deeply satisfying from start to finish. My wife had the pumpkin curry, and it was just as delicious. The pumpkin added a gentle sweetness that paired beautifully with the savory Thai spices, creating a dish that felt hearty, cozy, and well balanced. It was one of those meals you keep thinking about after you leave. One thing to note is that parking can be a bit of a challenge, so it helps to plan ahead. That said, the food is absolutely worth it. Veganic truly shows how incredible vegan Thai food can be, and we left happy, full, and excited to come back again.
Came here to try this spot on my no meat fast. The place is nice and cozy inside. I ordered THREE BROTHERS Baby Don Chey. Shitake mushrooms, and fried tofu covored wast garke aren sauce.the food was nicely cooked and tasted delicious. Well seasoned. It was a good bit of food. With the brown rice I paid $19. I’m definitely coming back to try some other items off the menu.
Absolutely amazing place. Service was so kind and friendly and fast and attentive! The food was delicious and filling. I got the som tom salad and it was so flavorful! And the drunken noodles with mock dock! Everything was perfect
Tried the Khao Soi, drunken noodles, and potstickers — all were absolutely delicious and freshly made. The Khao Soi had a rich, flavorful broth, the drunken noodles had just the right spice kick, and the potstickers were crisp and satisfying. Every dish felt comforting and well-prepared, definitely a spot worth revisiting for authentic Thai flavors.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Veganic Thai Café Review Food was excellent, ambience was warm and inviting, and the taste and quality were truly top-notch. We ordered cream cheese wontons, drunken noodles, Panang curry, and sweet sticky rice with coconut ice cream — every dish was flavorful and beautifully presented. The best part for me was the vegan coconut ice cream — it instantly reminded me of the homemade ice cream my parents used to make back in India. Such a nostalgic treat! What made the experience even more special was how the staff went out of their way to customize all dishes to match our dietary preferences — Jain (no onion, potato, garlic) and fully vegan. It’s rare to find a place that offers both flexibility and such rich flavors. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Thai flavors with thoughtful vegan and Jain-friendly options.
Delicious food! The flavors hit home and authentic. The spice range of 1 to 10 means everyone is happy (even a 7 wasn't burning your mouth but instead very well balanced). The Massaman Curry and Drunken Noodles were amazing. Quick and friendly service, good prices, large portions, plenty of indoor seating and some outdoor too, and queer friendly vibes.
Good food. Husband approves as well. He loved the “chicken” with broccoli. I’m not a great fan of the texture of the vegan chicken as I’ve had better. The papaya salad was good but when I ordered a mild spice level 2, it burned my mouth so bad I thought I was eating a level 20…😂😅. So be warned about spicy if it’s not your thing. Also, like any city, parking is problematic. Good food and good service overall so I can’t complain.
Such a flavorful, and expansive menu. Veganic is a vegan Thai favorite of ours. Service is great. Food is delicious, the pricing is fair, and the portions are huge. This is a great lunch and dinner spot. Usually not overly crowded during the week, the weekends it can fill up. But weather permitting, which it usually is they have tons of outdoor seating. They have a great taste and spice level with their foods. Their curry’s are top notch. The three brothers is another delicious dish.
Very good vegan Thai food. The pumpkin curry was delightful with a nice kick. Tom Kha soup was a little too sweet and the menu had a hot pepper next to it but it has no hot/spicy taste. It’s sweet and creamy. And the drunken noodles were tasty but would love a few more veggies in it. Portions are ok. Shared two dishes and a soup with 3 people and took a little curry home. The vegan mock duck and shrimp proteins were tasty for those who don’t eat animal protein. Don’t think of them as replacing the actual animal rather as something new and you’ll be happy.
Food was good but the portion sizes were not as pictured. The 3 Flavors Fish didn’t have any fish flavors but it was good. The pot stickers were not steamed as written on their menu, they were deep fried. The service could have been better. Ambience was okay. Overall, found the food a little pricey and although good food, it didn’t meet our expectations from the menu.
Food tasted good. Tried pumpkin curry as it was suggested in the google reviews. But it is okay, I would prefer panang over it. Pad thai noodles was good. Also 18% service charge was added mandatory. The atmosphere was noisy. I really felt like noise pollution. Did not give a peaceful vibe at all. And none of the staff were asking the noisy group to tone down a bit. Felt uncomfortable. For someone visiting california for the first time, the parking is confusing as there’s a paid parking kiosk but didnt get a receipt of payment and also was unaware of red line no park situation.
