I been here once with a group of friends for a special day. Upon arrival, it was packed/full house and I just added us to the waitlist. While waiting we just decided to roam around the area to kill some time. Finally our table was ready for my party and we were seated by the window/ocean view. The place was set up pretty well with the theme from the movie Forest Gump. The staffs were welcoming, well trained and understanding where they made my visit a memorable one. Their menu consists of appetizers, soups, salads, seafood platters, things from the farm such as fried chicken, ribs, ribeye, desserts and much more. Everything was made to order which is just the way I like it since I never mind the wait, because I am a very patient person. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to celebrate, to all seafood lovers, or if you want to try something new. I definitely will be back to tryout the other delicious options they have to offer.

A truly memorable experience at Bubba Gump Shrimp — amazing food, top-notch service, and unbeatable views! We had such a great time dining here. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed warmly by Claire, who absolutely nailed it with her service. She seated us at a dream table — right next to the window with a gorgeous view of the bay, Alcatraz, and even the Golden Gate Bridge in the distance. It was the kind of setting that makes you stop and soak in the moment. Claire was friendly, attentive, and on point the entire time — one of the best servers we’ve had in a long time! We ordered three different plates and shared everything so we could try a bit of everything: 🦀 Crab and Shrimp Boil – A flavorful Southern-style seafood feast packed with perfectly cooked shrimp and crab legs, along with juicy sausage, corn on the cob, and red potatoes. Everything was seasoned perfectly and came out piping hot. Every bite felt like comfort food done right. 🐟 Forrest’s Seafood Feast – This platter had a little bit of everything — crispy fried shrimp, golden hush puppies, flaky fried fish, seasoned fries, and creamy coleslaw. The textures were spot on, and each bite had a nice balance of crunch and flavor. The hush puppies were surprisingly delicious — slightly sweet and perfectly fried. 🍤 Shrimp Heaven – My brother ordered this one, and it really lived up to its name! The plate came with three styles of shrimp: light and crispy tempura shrimp, sweet and crunchy coconut shrimp, and classic golden fried shrimp. It was a shrimp lover’s dream, and each style had its own unique taste and texture. He enjoyed every single bite! The service was consistently excellent. Claire made sure we were taken care of without being overbearing. The food came out quickly, and the entire staff seemed to be working in sync, creating a really pleasant dining environment. We left full, satisfied, and already talking about coming back. Between the beautiful setting, delicious food, and incredible service, this place is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommend — 5 stars all the way!

Well... it feels like you step into the movie when you go in this place from names, to pictures to little quotes all over the place... be ready for a good stroll down the memory lane with this one (well unless you have never seen Forest Gump .. then well.. go see it i guess!) The place on top of all the fun Forest things, has also an amazing view of the water and at sun down when cities light up, it is an amazing view to watch, the place is huge, and staff are super fast and helpful so waits have not been crazy at all the few times we've been there. Food : good Menu Diversity : fairly diverse mostly sea food Atmosphere : hands down epic ( for movie fans :D ) Access : we have always driven and parked in the garage, but it is super walkable and accisble through any form of transportation, People : nice cleanness : clean

I loved this place. Exquisite food, excellent service. The shrimp and crab rolls were our favorite. A little pricey, but worth it. I would definitely go back if I lived in San Francisco. We'll have to go back when we visit this city again. We left with a good taste in our mouths. The views are also phenomenal.

Amazing spot! Great views, food was tasty drinks were yummy, and service was incredible! As Aussies traveling in the states this was one of the better establishments we went to.

First of all, atmosphere is great. Nice view and service is not bad. But in November, it was chilling inside. We had to sit with coats on. For reviewing the food I can criticize only what we ate. Calamari; stay away from it. İt was the worst calamari I ate. Maybe I like more Turkish or Greek style calamari. Bigger size, golden crispy and served with tarator souse. This was small size, deep fried (dried) and not delicious. Mama blues shrimp gumbo soup: good delicious and more than enough Shrimp shack mac& cheese; nice choice but can include more shrimp inside Forest ribeye & shrimp: it was the best choice for me! The meat was very delicious and juicy even for a fish restaurant surprisingly cold temperature inside and serving a bad taste calamari made them lost the fifth star…

Shrimp Shack Mac and Cheese had a very rich flavor, and it stayed hot so we could enjoy it well. Jenny’s Salmon and Shrimp had fresh salmon, so it was a simple but solid choice. The shrimp linguine pasta was basic. The seasoning was a bit light, but it was still okay to eat. The atmosphere was loud, but we were still able to have a conversation. There was a birthday table nearby, and the staff sang for them, which was an interesting thing to see. It’s a good spot to stop by after walking around Pier 39 for a light meal shrimp 🍤

My husband feels like his seafood platter lunch was like an upscale version of Denny's or Applebee's, since his fish was thin with lots of breading, and the shrimp & fries were good but could've been better). My coconut shrimp was delicious though! Yum! The waiter was super friendly and attentive. An overall fun atmosphere with birthday celebrations going on, family friendly place. Lots of Forrest Gump paraphernalia all around the restaurant and in the gift shop. The Dr Pepper ice cream float was slurpy & yummy too! Overall, a nice experience. (The crepe place downstairs was fantastic though!!)

We ordered the fish and chips, the shrimp and crab rolls and the chicken sandwich. The fish and chips were really good and the shrimp rolls flavorful but a little creamy so very filling. The chicken sandwich was a thick piece but flavorful. There was a wait of about 10 minutes and took about 15 to get our food. Service was ok but a little rushed. Beautiful view of the bay but we were seated not close enough to see.

We had dinner here while visiting Fisherman Wharf and Pier 39. I had ribs and they are really delicious. The staff are nice and friendly. It can be busy during the dinner time. There are a lot of sea food menus too. I'd recommend if you are a sea food lover and a fan of Forrest Gump.

Typical Bubba Gump by the water. Good atmosphere, friendly staff. Food could be way better though. The tempura shrimp had no flavor and wasn't fried enough. The crab stuff shrimp was great. Its a busy place so be prepared to wait for your food and drinks to take a while. A bit disappointed in the food. Used to be better.

Fun atmosphere, bartender was friendly enough, salmon and shrimp were both over cooked and rice was just plain boring cold white rice. Food was nothing memorable but good cold beer.

My friend recommended this place so planned to go for dinner. Ordered Clam Chowder and Shrimp basket. Out of that only the Shrimp basket was good, especially the coconut shrimp was very good. They gave like 3 sauce dips with different spice levels. All 3 were average. I think they should add some spiciness to the shrimp, if there is no sauce it's very bland. The clam chowder is more like potatoe chowder. It's only average. I would not go here for the second time unless I wanted to take someone else for the first time. Not sure about other dishes, it could be good. If at all I try, I'll update my review.

We were on our anniversary vacation and since me and my husband love this place in Anaheim ca. we visit the San Francisco and let me tell you how bad I hated this place… starting from the door. The girl who took us to our table had no smile, blank face, no hi/hello/how are you. Just “table for 2” after that “your server will be here shortly” my server was good, she was friendly but she had a scared face like it was her first day. Food: (I know this restaurant so I’m familiar with the entire menu) Appetizers… calamari! (Extremely over cooked, even black pieces almost like eating rubber bands, (yes I did return it and asked for a new one) drinks… corona-Rita… no alcohol at all just beer with water!! I send it back again! Then you have to wait until your server is free because is the only one running all the tables, after finishing our meal we had to wait over 30 min to get the check. Definitely not happy with this place few days later we visit Monterrey go see the review I left for them!!! We are talking night and day difference.

we ate here for the first time. food sucked! their sviche was gross. none of their food had any good flavor & nothing special about their meals. servers were too busy , didn’t seem like they could really multi task so we kept having to get our servers attention for water. i would never eat their again.
