Food was outstanding! Wonderful lite beet salad with avocado. Loved the hazelnuts on the salmon and risotto. Husband loved the baked chicken and noodles. Very clean and nice interior. Josh was an excellent server and the crème brûlée was the best I’ve had in years!
I absolutely love this place! The food is incredible—fresh, flavorful, and thoughtfully made. We had the Un, Deux, Trois...and let me just say, upgrade to the chicken apple sausage and the Miracle Pancakes (sour cream and poppyseed)! They are absolutely next level—fluffy, rich, and totally unique. The Cannes Scrambled Eggs were also so delicious, perfectly cooked and full of flavor. What really sets Zazie apart, though, is how they treat their staff. No tips are expected because their team is compensated fairly—and that just makes the whole experience feel even better. Every restaurant should operate this way. We left full, happy, and already planning our next visit.
Bustling brunch spot, but well worth the wait as there is no reservation. The egg benedicts were excellent, especially the smoked salmon one. Pleasantly, the potato and garlic on the side were very crunchy as well. On top of the food quality, I am a fan of their no tip policy — as they've included it in their menu prices . A very strong recommend if you are in the area.
Stopped here for brunch with a friend and very much enjoyed the food and the service. I had the La Mer Benedict with two eggs which was a good portion and a tasty mimosa. The server was attentive and the food came out without much of a wait. The weather was nice enough to enjoy sitting outside.
This place rocks. Alex was our server and he was great. The food was phenomenal. We had a slice of French toast, one pancake, and we each had a single egg Benedict. All of the food was top notch. It’s a small place. Only negative was that the syrup is not real maple syrup. Food was still phenomenal. Good vibe inside too. I’d suggest asking about the back patio which we didn’t see until after eating.
Zazie is hands down one of our Top 5 favorite restaurants in the San Francisco Bay Area, and every visit reminds me exactly why. As someone who’s a big, big meat eater, I rarely go for a meatless option—but the lemon ricotta ravioli here is in a league of its own. Bright, creamy, and melt-in-your-mouth delicious, it’s one of the very few vegetarian dishes that leaves me totally satisfied without even thinking about meat. That says a lot. Of course, when I do indulge my carnivorous side, the pork chop is absolutely divine—so tender it practically falls apart, and paired with buttery potatoes and the dreamiest mac and cheese. Rich, hearty, comforting. It’s the kind of dish you crave long after the meal is over. The escargot deserves a special shoutout—it instantly transports me back to Paris. Delicately prepared, garlicky, and served with that unmistakable French flair. It’s the real deal. And please, whatever you do, don’t skip dessert. The Chaud is an experience. Warm, gooey chocolate topped with toasted marshmallows—it’s like being wrapped in a hug that somehow takes you straight to Brussels. Yum, yum, YUM! Zazie isn’t just a meal—it’s a mood, a memory, and a masterpiece every time. Whether you’re a die-hard meat lover or looking for something refined and soulful, this place delivers.
I love the atmosphere here, especially the enclosed patio. It is surrounded entirely by wood slats and a full ceiling with powerful heaters. They have dog night on the patio every Monday evening. The food is outstanding and with tips included in the pricing it makes the bill very simple. The Salmon Risotto, Burger and Pork Chop were all extremely well executed. Rich sauces, simply dressed salads and a freshly baked warm roll add the French flare to what otherwise would just be yummy food.
Great Brunch and lovely atmosphere. You will need to wait for half an hour depending on what time of the day you go. The Portion is quite generous. I ordered only one pancake, but it was good for two to share as it is quite thick. There is no tip, but the price is slightly on a higher side. Good quality brunch. I really liked the salsa in the egg Benedict and the home fry was very good with well roasted sweet garlics.
Had brunch here and absolutely loved it! I ordered the Italian-style scrambled eggs with tomatoes - so simple but packed with flavor. The eggs were perfectly creamy and the tomatoes added just the right amount of freshness. The service was also amazing - super friendly and quick, which made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll recommend!
I've been to over 10 Michelin restaurants in different parts of France. This restaurant really captures the flavors, sauces, and dishes unique to France. The French onion soup was excellent. But I especially enjoyed the pork chops. The sauce they used paired with the vegetables was amazing. It was among some of the best pork chops I've tried. I'll be back to try more dishes. I'd recommend this restaurant for excellent French food.
Unfussy French food in Cole Valley. The coq au vin was terrific. (This text is here to meet the minimum word count.)

Haven't been here in 20 years, but it's still as good if not better than it was 20 years ago. A friend treated me to brunch on a Sat. When I got there @ 9:30 (they open @ 9) the place was packed. …
I had Eggs Benedict Florentine which was quite yummy. All of us enjoyed our meals. Granted we were there on a Friday, but we didn’t have to wait for a table (outside was full).
Definitely try the coffee cake! Nice start to the meal. Very pretty patio area. Everybody liked their food … french toast, eggs, pancakes and gluten free English muffins.
What a great place to have brunch! My son loved the Pancakes, Bacon and Hot Chocolate combination! French Toasts were delicious! I can’t wait to go back

Beautiful interior and outside ambiance- there are heaters too so it doesn't get too cold. The food is good and classic, and there's no tipping involved, but it is on the pricier side.
I like the cozy atmosphere and that the price on the menu is what you'll be paying, but I didn't find the food worth the price. The French onion soup appetizer was $18, and even though it was goo…
Overall, a decent experience. Highlights: the Albert eggs benedict was delicious and the buttermilk pancake was very good (way better than the gingerbread and french toast in the Sarah Jane's flight.) Low points: the hot chocolate was really watered down. Also, I really worry about the sanitary conditions of this place. The bathroom, the dishwashing, and the pass where the finished food sits before being served is all right next to each other and it's also the choke point where patrons walk through to get to the back area seating. The floor was also really slippery in this area.
We ordered the pain de mie French toast with orange cinnamon batter and the Albert eggs benedict. Unfortunately, the French toast was underwhelming — it was essentially just a plain piece of bread with very little flavor or effort, lacking the richness or creativity you’d expect from a French restaurant. It didn’t feel like much was done to elevate the dish. The eggs benedict, on the other hand, was fine and reliable. Nicely cooked eggs and a decent hollandaise, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, the experience was mixed. The savory option was satisfactory, but the French toast fell short of expectations.
Quality of food is so-so, very plain Jane. I had the daily special omelet with sausage of poor quality. Food was served on cold plates, so the food was only warm delivered to the table and one had to quickly eat it before it turned cold. I did not finish the food as it wasn't appetizing when cool. Definitely not a top shelf eatery. Thanks but no thanks!
American cafe with good variety of brunch options. Good fresh delicious food with veggie options. Not typical American portion. Service is a bit slow but responsive. It's quiet but vibrant atmosphere. Good for couple, meetup and small gathering. Hard to find parking but possible in around streets. Indoor setting, limited outdoor setting but nice cozy patio in the end of cafe. Not accessible for tight inside and steps to patio.
I visited this place on a Friday morning when it was somewhat busy. I liked that they offer both indoor and outdoor dining options. The menu is extensive, allowing you to mix and match one to three items from each section. For example, you can choose two pancakes or one eggs benedict, making it easy to try a variety of dishes. I ordered one eggs benedict, one gingerbread pancake, and a cappuccino. My friend ordered gluten-free English muffins, which was a nice option to have. The food was great—especially the gingerbread pancake, which had exceptional flavors. However, the coffee was burnt and much too hot. The service follows a European style, which meant a more relaxed pace, but at times it felt a bit inattentive. Overall, the food was good, and the atmosphere was pleasant.
Zazie has a charming ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating options. Our server was friendly and attentive, which was a plus. However, our brunch experience was a mixed bag. I recommend making a reservation, because the restaurant was packed when we got there for brunch on a weekend. The waitlist management seemed chaotic. Despite being notified that our table was ready, we waited an additional 15 minutes while empty tables sat unused. The smoked wild salmon sandwich was disappointing. The bread was tough, and the salmon had a slightly fishy taste, suggesting it wasn't the freshest. The accompanying potatoes lacked seasoning. The Tahiti French toast was rich and satisfying, but it could have benefited from crispier edges. Overall, while the service was good, the food and waitlist issues needed their attention.

The food is very overpriced (even with tips included) for its taste, the wait is very long. parking is difficult. The inside was very cozy and small.

Overall very average. Omelet sausage was very low end. Food was warm when served likely because of being served on cold plates. I definitely don't recommend this place.

A casual brunch spot with French notes. Great for a place to catch up with friends. This place is a big overpriced for the quality/flavour of the dishes. The eggs benedict are executed well here - the hollandaise compliments the egg. However, the other components aren’t anything out of the ordinary - the english muffin tasted very normal. The scrambled eggs tasted like something you can quickly make in your own kitchen - the flavours were just okay. The pancakes were fluffy but also okay. The restaurant has a really cozy outdoor dining area in the back which is really cute and aesthetic. There are a lot of nature and wooden elements. Service was nice and quick.
Cute place, great music. The pancake was good. The fruit was okay. The eggs were not good. Could have used salt and pepper. The sausage was not good. Very sweet. The server was not attentive at all. He came when we were done with our food. One of the worst severs I’ve ever experienced. Also he was very rude. When he asked about the eggs and sausage that we didn’t eat. We told him we did not like them. He asked why. When explained, he was like okay. Didn’t expect him to take it off the bill but very rude response.
A Disappointing Experience Despite the High Ratings! I visited this restaurant based on its high ratings (4.6 out of 5 with over 3,000 reviews), but unfortunately, it didn’t live up to the hype. I ordered Eggs Benedict with smoked salmon, a small side salad, and French fries (frites). However, the dish arrived with roasted potatoes instead of the fries I had ordered. When I pointed this out to the server, they simply replied, “This is the only type of potatoes we serve,” without mentioning this detail when I placed my order. About the food: The taste wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t good either. It was very basic and completely unremarkable. On top of that, the presentation was poor and unappealing, falling far below the standard I’d expect from a restaurant at this price point. Overall experience: The total bill came to around $41, which is far too expensive for what I got. On top of that, the seating was incredibly uncomfortable—I felt like I was sitting in the middle of a walkway, which ruined the atmosphere even further. Honestly, I’m not sure how this place has such high ratings. For me, it’s not worth the price or the hype, and I don’t think I’ll be returning.
My first and last time dining at this restaurant. Our server was great but one staff that was working at the backyard was rude and nasty. She was annoyed when I was standing by the door of the re…
