I dont know why i keep getting food from here. A few days ago i asked for a #3, a chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese. I asked for no pickles. When i got the sandwich it had no cheese, no bacon, and 2 huge pickles. Today i go and order the same thing. After making it extremely clear i wanted the #3 chicken sandwich with bacon and cheese and no pickles(i repeated this atleast 3 times) my sandwich had 2 giant pickles and is barely warm. Cheese isnt even warm

The employees are way too busy conversing with each other than to provide any customer service. I placed an order with the younger Hispanic lady and immediately after taking payment she turned around and not even acknowledging me or even giving me my receipt. I stood there bewildered and just started at her backside for a good long before I just reached over the counter and grab my receipt. They continued their conversation nonstop and slowly got my order. I watched them patiently wondering what could be so important for them to forget basic customer service… I watched as she packed other orders despite no one else picking their order while mine just sat there on the counter. What seemed like forever and the last order although I was the only customer and another whom already finished his meal. She said one number 13 stared at me and then continued with her conversation. I got up and got my order and said thank you and this women don’t even give me the time of day to respond with a thank you or anything.. just stare and continue her conversation in Spanish. I love Popeyes but damn makes me not wanna come here. Its the closest one to my house…. Maybe next time I’ll drive farther for my fix. Without customer service the food wouldn’t taste as good when I have a bad taste in my mouth from poor customer service.

Two of us made separate mobile pick up orders scheduled for "right away". When we got there, my order was ready in about 5 minutes. Then we had to wait 30 minutes for our other pick up order. It seems mobile orders are low priority. They fulfill pickup orders when there are no in store orders to fulfill. When there are in store orders, meaning customers who order at the register, then the mobile orders are pushed to the back of the line. So mobile orders are not a priority even if it's scheduled for "right away". We waited and watched as multiple customers walked in, ordered their food at the counter, received their orders, and left. And still our order wasn't even started. This makes no sense.

So I ordered from the app, nothing major just some Cajun fries and a raspberry ice tea, but I always claim my free 2 pieces of chicken and a biscuit which was given to me from Popeyes rewards for completing their survey. Anyway the girl at the register, Leslie had an attitude for some reason which I don't know why, plus she didn't know Popeye policies on how the resteraunt operates. When I got home open the bag to eat I noticed that there was only one piece of chicken and one dried out biscuit, plus my Cajun fries were ice cold. I called and tried to explain what the problem was but Leslie had an attitude again and said " whatever just bring it back". So I got to the restaurant and explained that I only had one piece of chicken, a dried out biscuit and cold Cajun fries. Leslie related the information to a Hispanic female in the back who has prepared it, but she told her in Spanish believing they I as a black man didn't speak or understand that Spanish, but I habla Espanol Todo. The woman working in the back who I believe name was Hadie according to Leslie, told her forget him, and took the food that I had brought back and put the piece of chicken in the microwave, at which time I said I don't want that same piece of chicken, and Leslie said it's not for me, and I said so she going to heat it up and give it to another customer, at which time Leslie sl no that's not she going to do and then she told her in Spanish, cuidado, be careful he's watching and saw you put it in the microwave. So this woman, Hadie took the bag that had the food in it that she was making for me, further in the back of the restaurant as she constantly kept looking at me and as I was trying to see why she took the bag with the food in the back, then a few minutes later she came back out of the back with a smile on her face, called Leslie and said here give him this. I know that she did something to my food because why would she go to the back with my food, there was a guy in the back that cooks the chicken and he was right there if she needed more chicken, but like I said I believe she did something to my food. So with all that happened I could not eat my food because I know that she did something shady with it. So be careful of the Popeyes chicken on Valley and San Gabriel, they are scandalous and vindictive and will spit or worse in your food. I don't recommend that store to anyone, especially since they think that they are smart speaking Spanish believing that you don't speak or understand what they're saying, and can do evil stuff to your food.

Don't waste your time here. Back to back visit with burnt chicken. I thought it was a one-off thing. I sent a photo to support only for the chatbot to tell me it's not my photo and closed the chat. That's a new one. -_-

As a frequent reviewer of fast-food establishments, I must express my profound disappointment with the Popeyes location in San Gabriel. On multiple occasions, the signature chicken sandwich has been unacceptably tough and durable, tasting as though it has been sitting for an extended period. The texture is far from the fresh, tender quality one expects from Popeyes. Adding to the unpleasant experience is the consistently atrocious parking situation, making it a hassle just to attempt to patronize this location. Furthermore, the reckless driving prevalent in this area only compounds the negative impression. Beyond the subpar food and inconvenient location, the employees consistently exhibit a negative attitude and appear visibly disengaged with their work. Their demeanor further detracts from any potential positive aspects of this establishment. In stark contrast, the Popeyes in Temple City on Lower Azusa has consistently delivered fresh and well-prepared food with a noticeably more positive staff. I cannot recommend the San Gabriel location and strongly advise those seeking a decent Popeyes experience to visit the Temple City branch instead.

I ordered the "hot wings" 6 pcs for 7.99. Just look at the picture of the size of the wings. Also, the "regular" size drum sticks are no bigger. A complete rip-off. Inflation is hitting everyone, including the chickens.

BAD! We had 5 piece meal. Everything looked old and oily. After first bite should have returned order. Every piece was misery. I have had Popeyes many times, and was looking forward to this meal. We are not people who complain so we suffered through it. Threw out about 70%. Beans were also burned. I love beans but could not eat them. As for the positive? Server seamed like it was her first day. Can’t blame her. Mashed potatoes were good. So if you like mashed potatoes, you’re good. If you like chicken,avoid at all costs. While we were leaving another customer brought his food back from home, to return it. Smart! Had to go somewhere else to eat lunch.

The new workers here lack customer service. I used to like coming here for many years when the older lady ran this place. Now, the young ladies have run this place down. There are many things to say but I will share my experience today. I placed a small online order, with a time stamp of 5:04pm, that gave me an option of ASAP pickup time, or an option to choose a time that was 15 or 30min later. I selected ASAP. I then went to buy some buckets of ice cream after placing my online order and when I went to pick up my order 20min later, the cashier said my order just printed out. She then had me wait while a guy came in to place a large chicken order and picked it up within literally 1 minute! I asked the cashier why my order was taking long and she told me to be patient. This is now 25min after I placed my ASAP online order. My ice cream was melting in the 90 degree car and this was my last stop since it was closest to my house. Why should anyone bother to place an online order in advance if they have to wait 20min longer than a walk-in person? This made absolutely no sense. What a terrible way to run a business.

This has to be the slowest serving Popeyes in California. Took 25 minutes for 4 pieces of chicken. And they have no drive thru smh

They gave me the wrong chicken and one of the sides. I ask for spicy chicken and they gave me plain and I asked for mashed potatoes and they gave me coleslaw, which I hate coleslaw so I threw in the trash. I called them to fix my order and they did not answer the phone, I will not be going back they have one job only and they can't get it right. Also thanks for the stale biscuits.
