I came from Miami and I was looking for a good hookah lounge. I called a couple of places and finally had a chance to talk with the owner. He is such a nice and decent person. We had a great talk on the phone and he invited me over. When I was there, I saw that they have all the tobacco from everywhere, very, very high quality. He made my day. Thanks for your kindness and amazing taste in hookah.
I've come here over 10 times in the past few months. 40 Thieves is by far my favorite hookah lounge in the south bay. Smoke is always thick with a large variety of great strong flavors. Their hookahs are also high quality with rubber hoses. Another highlight is the management here. I've always felt welcome and they are quite attentive. Additionally, they have fast consistent wifi, which is great because I come here often to get work done on my laptop
Absolutely stellar hookah bar with one of the most experienced and professional owners I've ever met, who actually knows how to pack Cane Mint how it's meant to be enjoyed. Hands down a must try and hidden gem in the bay area. Give this place a shot, they know how to pack a great bowl!
This is the best hookah lounge in the entire Bay Area because the hookah’s are kept clean, great vibes with great music. I dropped my wallet by accident and the owner kept it safe for me for 3 days and when I went to pick it up it was safely returned to me with everything intact. If you’re looking to have a great time with good hospitality then I recommend this lounge.

Also on a side note, I love the fact they have power strips between some of the couches to charge devices. I've been to this location when it was a different lounge, and finding a place to plug in was next to impossible. But back to the review, they bring the hookahs out in a very timely manner and always give you enough tips for the hose if you're in a group.
This lounge is amazing very spacious and comfortable. In the heart Downtown San Jose 40 Thieves is a hookah lounge that offers one of kind smoking experience. They provide excellent customer service by consistently checking in with their customers. What I enjoy the most about this lounge is the fact that the owner attempts to build relationship with his customers. Which is rare in small business as such. Majority lounge is that I visited in the area don't have their owner on site. I also really like the design of their hookahs. The hookah are unique and are very clean. This lounge is very well maintained. With all these positive traits I would defiantly recommend this lounge to all my friends. If you are reading this I would recommend that you check this place out. I promise you will not regret it :)

Better known for their great hookahs. The owner is Afghani and funny! They have wide varieties of hookah and comfortable couches and the owner claims to have the best hookah in the whole of South Bay! While I don't do hookah, my friend really enjoyed it and visited twice.

2 stars for really good hookah and an awesome chill vibe. But unfortunately customer service wasn't the best. A third friend literally sat for like 3 seconds to find out they don't serve food. He left even before the hookah came out. When the time came to pay at the counter, they still charged a seating fee even though the friend was never there. So watch out for strict seating fees.

Everything else was fine, but the owner’s behavior was really disappointing. I had been going there with my friend for almost a year, but he doesn’t deserve loyal customers with the way he treats people.
