Once a year my wife and I come to San Jose for a convention. At the end of the convention we go to Blue Mango for the most delicious food beautiful atmosphere and service that is beyond elegant. No wonder how much this city has changed the ups and downs Blue Mango remains a staple for my wife and I and always will.

Highly recommend this Thai restaurant! The Pad Thai here is especially good — they use glass noodles, which adds a nice texture. The green curry, pineapple fried rice, and stir-fried eggplant were all delicious. So glad I found this place!

We were visiting from New Jersey and stumbled upon this eatery. The restaurant was clean, and the waiter was sweet and attentive. The food was hot and tasty, and the portion was satisfying. I tried the Thai iced tea, and it was refreshing. I had the basil stirfry with chicken and a side of rice, while my wife had the red noodle; they were both great choices. I met the owner, and he was friendly, accommodating, and grateful. Great experience; now that's what I'm talking about. ** An update for 2026, we came back again. We always drop in for dinner when we visit California. The food and overall experience was stellar. We had the drunken noodle and the spicy fried rice accompanied by 2 Thai iced teas. George the owner is an amazing guy. You have to try his food and hospitality. You will definitely be amazed.

We went there last 11/16/24 to celebrate my daughter's birthday. We LOVED everything we ordered except for the veggie rolls. 😬 The server was so kind and helpful too. 👍👍

We’ve been enjoying this place since they opened, and it’s super cool that they do both Sushi and Thai under one roof. Locally owned and the chef has been consistent for well over a decade. Today we celebrated my daughters birthday dinner, and sushi was on our mind….so we ordered hella rolls and grubbed down. Thai iced teas were tasty too. We’ll be back over and over again. One love to Blue Mango!

This is my first time at this place (well, ordering food from here) and will definitely not be the last. The place is very welcoming, as soon as it is safe to eat again at the restaurants, I will not hesitate to come here. The place small really nice and looks very clean. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they make sure they're handing you the right order. Food verdict: Tasty, great portions, with the right temperature, texture, colorful and textured and the have a wide menu. I ordered the Dynamite roll (sweet potato, spicy avocado. Top: cucumber, jalapeno. Garnish with spicy sauce),  curly fries (with Panang sauce), Pai Thai (with pork), and a side of curry Dipping Sauce. If you are craving or looking for a good Thai food option, this is your new place.

Used to come here all the time, but had not been since 2019. Came back for the first time today for a late lunch. The restaurant looked a tiny bit different and very open and inviting. The waitress was super friendly. We got here almost at their afternoon closing time (didn’t realize it) but they were so nice in letting us stay and enjoy our break and meal. They didn’t rush us at all. The food was still as good as it was in 2019! The Garlic Edamame has always been one of our favorites. Also enjoyed the Blue Mango sushi roll and my coworker had the Chicken Pad Thai. Thanks for being a reliable place, even three years later. 👍

We discovered this little treasure by accident. The food was delicious. Disappointed my dish Ocean in a Coconut didn’t come in a coconut shell as described in the menu but perhaps coconuts aren’t in season. It did contain slices of coconut. My husbands mango curry chicken was to die for. Wonderfully sweet chunks of mango.

Great Thai food, and great lunch prices. After our month in Thailand a little while ago, my boyfriend said the mango curry was one of the most fun curries he’s ever tasted. It has a lot of flavor but isn’t overwhelming! For lunch you get a side salad, soup of the day (today was a vegetable soup with tofu), and rice with your lunch dish. I got the mussaman curry (sorry if misspelled!) which was pretty good! Cinnamon tea was yummy too (like a cinnamon Thai tea) Would love to come back again.

This place is amazing! This was my first time trying Thai food and I was impressed! I ordered the mango curry and it was delicious! So delicious, so good, so much flavor in each spoonful!! The dish comes with a small side salad and your choice of either brown or white rice. The lychee tea was also good and very sweet. You should definitely visit this place if you are open to new flavors.

Ordered take away and it was as read in previous reviews very delicious, and surprisingly well served you can look up on the pictures. Food was plenty for two and the price was a fair one, they are currently celebrating their anniversary so they offer a few specials , keep an eye on them and do save this place for wait her dinning out or in

Thai food is my wife’s favorite, so choosing Blue Mango for our Christmas Eve takeout was an easy decision and it did not disappoint. The food was absolutely delicious, fresh, and full of flavor. Our order was ready quickly, and the service was fast and friendly, even on a busy holiday evening. Everything we ordered was amazing and made our Christmas Eve meal extra special. We’ll definitely be back!

We often eat at Blue Mango. Last night we ordered take out with Vegetable Coconut soup, garlic noodles, Vegan Mafia Roll and eggplant stir fry and one other sushi roll! It was a great combination of food that we'll remember for future orders!

Pad See Ew and Pad Thai are also tasty and I like that they're not too oily. The food is on the pricier side but you get what you pay for.

Good location for Thai cuisine if you’re looking to dine-in. Would recommend their Penang curry, Green curry, and sushi. They have plenty of vegetarian options as well. The place is clean and and the staff is friendly and courteous.

Blue Mango has withstood the test of time. I’ve eaten here for decades. Very convenient of you happen to grocery shop at Trader Joe’s near downtown SJ. Best dish by far is the crab fried rice. Sushi rolls and sashimi also good but not stellar. Service of usually top notch; very friendly and relatively prompt. January 2026 update: Blue Mango is kind of an interesting mash-up spot, leaning somewhere between Japanese and Korean. It’s casual and easy to drop into if you’re in the Coleman area. The standout for me is still the crab fried rice. It’s flavorful and easily the best thing we had. The rainbow roll was good too, especially if you like sushi rolls that are both savory and sweet. The garlic noodles were underwhelming. They were thin vermicelli noodles all stuck together and mushy with some fresh garlic mixed in; very flat. Overall, it was a mixed bag, but if you go, stick with the crab fried rice and you’ll probably leave happier.

Lot of vegetarian and gluten free starters, soups, salads, rice varieties, noodles and curries. Loved their Musamun curry and Spicy noodles. Staff at the restaurant were kind and friendly. Atmosphere is good, but food is so so. Ordered pineapple fried rice, taste like frozen food, rice is too sticky and some chicken is even a little cold. Not a hot dish.

Ordered 17$ eggplant plate, upgraded to 22$ plate with Calimari. Calamari came out either very old and recooked or over cooked. Tough like a rubber ball could not eat. Today 3-3-26 11:30 am Asked for 5 bucks back and was disturbed because it was an xtra 5 bucks for rubber chips.
