Its 830 pm on a Sunday. Three employees are handling a long queue of customers - billing, preparing orders, replenishing ingredients and napkins. You can see it gets quite a handful. All I saw that day was honest folks working hard and trying to make a living. I hope you guys make it to wherever you want to in life. There are tons of good and bad reviews but I wanted to leave this for the ones who are really trying their best.
I arrived to the restaurant, and there was 5-6 people waiting, it’s took almost 20 minutes to get a service. There was 2 staff members, one make the orders and the second was a cashier. The girl who makes the order was really fast and nice. The cashier guy was really slow, I was waiting for 4 minutes or more to pay for my food. He went to the kitchen and then to wash his hands and everything in very slow motion. Most of the customers were waiting for him and not for the food.
Food was good, chicken was cooked right. But placed an online order for a protein bowl with double meat, and it barely came with any extra chicken. Good thing pepper gave me a refund 👍
This Chipotle is okay. Sometimes they run out of certain ingredients after 7pm, like chips and taco shells. The food is good, but like other Chipotle locations, the portion size is dependent on your server. Sometimes the garbage cans are overflowing, and I've waited up to 30 minutes in line here before. Their soda fountain is operational (it wasn't for a month), and they even have to-go cups for Tabasco sauce. Great location in San Jose, but the upfront parking is tight. No outside seating, but there is plenty of seating inside. This location is a hit or a miss, just depending on whenever you go.
I've been here two times. Both times service has been awful. There are 3 to 5 servers behind the counter and none taking any in person orders. One guy was on his phone and one other preparing meet. Finally someone asked us if we were waiting for an order. (Of course, there's a line!) My question to management is what are the employees doing here? It seems most places are prioritizing online orders and don't care about anyone coming into the restaurant.
Fine black Hair in chicken burrito bowl picked up to go from this around 11:12am on Feb 9th. I was sharing this meal with my kid. Ughh. Is this the quality of food for $13?? Never going back.
I’ve been to this Chipotle 5 times over 2 years, and they have never once had all the ingredients available. They have never had steak available. Slow and always out of food.
Counter where they prep our meals was covered with bits of corn, salsa, rice. White rice bin only had burned and caked on dried out rice. When I requested a bowl to go, I hear in a military command tone "No white rice, only brown". I guess they're not selling what Chipotle normally sells today and that's my problem. When we get to the salsa the pico de gallo looks mushy and old. So skipped salsa. The cheese container is empty. I asked if they have any more shredded cheese. "No cheese". Great! So my normally good tasting chicken burrito bowl had no white rice, no salsa (simply for my own safety) and no cheese. Needless to say, it tasted awful. Chipotle, you have really fallen off a cliff. Your employees behave like they hate their jobs and they blame the customers...so they hate the customers too. If you offer a choice of white or brown rice, then be consistent. Stop leaving a disgusting bin of burnt dried out rice as a signal not to ask for it. Stop advertising about how fresh everything is and displaying soggy gross pico de gallo. This isn't the first time I've seen this bad attitude and horrible experience when coming in the last hour of business. Either commit to showing pride in your restaurants, or just close up and go out of business. For my part I am done with your restaurants.
The last 5 times I’ve went here they never have food ready and it’s 6pm prime time to have your stuff together. 4 people walked in front of me. They are poorly managed. Don’t even waste your time coming here until they fix management. Also, extremly slow and incompetent. This isn’t rocket science here people.
Food cold is eventually understandable, but completely messy and miserable quantity even i choose extra on the app, I could count how many “cheese” has in my bowl, there was no ice at the soda machine, no fork not even napkins, i don’t know how they are still open, first and very last time I stepped in there. Dirty orange wall. No brown rice. No ice, 4 napkins left, steak was dry and wat was 20 minutes in line. All this at prime dinner shift 6:15 at night. What more can I say other than avoid it. The guys working there were meh... no great, not bad. too many other places to eat, this is a terrible Chipotle!
I don't normally do these but I had to for today. I went in to order around 1900 (7pm) and there was a line to the door. There was a backup with the orders due to 1 patron attempting to order a handful of burritos using gift/redemption cards. This was causing the manager difficulty in processing the order and no orders were being processed for the other customers for approximately 15 minutes. I understand that the manager was attempting to provide customer service for 1 customer but that decision led to 3 other customers walking out due to wait time. After that issue was resolved, the manager yells "only 1 card per customer". Thinking that the situation was resolved, I thought the line would start moving faster. It did not. Only 1 person was serving customers while 2 others were standing or pacing around, manager was sitting down on the phone, and cashier just stayed at the register. For the next 15-20 minutes, 1 employee was attempting to serve all the customers with the line still backed up to the door. Then that server left and there was about a 2- minute period where there was no one serving food at the station. Manager was still sitting on phone and person at cash register just stood waiting for someone else to take over. Eventually 2-people came to start people's orders. The line went slightly faster at that point but there was clearly a lack of efficiency. 1 of the 2 servers looked like they didn't know how to roll a burrito and the other had to step in to keep the line moving. Took almost an hour for me to finally get my order and I only ordered 1 burrito bowl. If chipotle prides itself on fast service this place is making the franchise look bad. Whoever is in charge of this place needs to look back on the cameras and keep the employees accountable. It just looks like a bunch of kids just hanging out and not an efficient place of business. Very unprofessional, will not be coming back until there's a change in management.
Closest chipotle to where I live but oh boy this location is bad. They are lacking in portion awareness, the bowls are never filled so you might have to ask for extra multiple of times to just a regular size scoop of topping. Another time, they didn’t seal and package my order correctly so it leaked causing a hole in the paper bag. When I lifted the bag up, everything spilled in my car. I have argued with the cashier once about getting charged when I had a free guacamole couple; she said you can only get the guacamole as a side not a topping in order to use the coupon. Lies!
Omg I thought the one by my place on Union was bad already and this place has beat it today. The kids tortilla order came home with half full of every ingredients, box looks very empty. Mine steak bowl came home with missing ingredients and looks only half filled or half empty. I feel like whoever in charge of this store is either stingy or just not care. The rice portion inside my bowl is just a joke. I used to love dining at Chipotle, and I continue wanting to like it, but my recent experiences have not been great and today is the worst yet.
Went in to order their chicken bowl. The portion was small, especially the portion of rice that was given. Maybe less than one scoop full. They just simply stacked on the lettuce, tomatoes, and the protein. I literally laughed and walked away with the worst $12 I have ever spent. Sorry, I will not return.
If you order online before to check it before you leave the store because they will make it wrong. This has happened to me multiple times at this location, I swear the workers can’t read. Just the other day I went home to find my food was made wrong. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and check to see if I made a mistake when k ordered it, but nope it was not my error. I had to go back to the store to get it fixed because they don’t have a number you can call and complain at. I get to the store and they play 21 questions with me about my order in order to remake it. Also don’t even waste your time trying to contact customer service if you happened to get a reply they will just say they won’t give you a refund.
I have previously had no issues with this location, but today’s experience was unacceptable. I waited a total of 30 minutes due to conflicting posted hours (online vs. on the door), followed by being asked to wait 10 minutes, and then another 16 minutes while staff focused on a catering order. Even as catering order was at a standstill and employees were waiting for ingredients - they did not assist walk-in customers at all. This is not a matter of minor inconvenience—it demonstrates poor management of both time and customer service. I expect better and cannot recommend this location to anyone who values their time.
This location is very slow, understaffed. You will wait for 30 mins to 1 hour during lunch or dinner time, and that wait is consistent as they only have very minimum staff regardless if it is busy time or not. The meat always burned and they are always short of something’s even it is still early in the day. This is the worst chipotle I have ever been to. Do not even try the online or app order, cos they will never be ready by the time the app says it will be. And the portion is much smaller than you order in the store. As a record, today, at dinner time, 6 pm, we entered the store, there are 14 people ahead of us and it took 1 hour for us to finally get to start order the food. And this type of experience and wait time is very common in this location. Do not come near
Probably the worst Chipotle I've entered. And average size line of like 5 people took them around 20 minutes to get through. 1 staff member working the whole food line and 1 at the register. They had no steak cause they didn't want to make any apparently, no sign at the door btw. Skimping out on portions a ton. 1/4th scoop of beans by the way. Dont be scared to call them out and ask for more, they will give you more.. like another 1/4th scoop more... and stare at you while they process your request in their mind, like their using telekinesis to move the beans to your bowl. Dont even dare ask them for steak.. their stare makes people walk out.. their aura draws people away. You want cheese? Have fun! You get a whole 8 shreds of cheese. Want more? Here's 4 more! But wait! Dont even take out cash.. as soon as you take out cash, the whole lineup of warriors (2 employees) stare at you, as they say they dont have change.. little did you know, their cashless only... God forbid you don't have your card on you.. how will you eat! On a serious note, manager's clearly dont care about this location, as they severely understaffed it, and they had like 12 chickens on the grill just burning 💀 avoid this as all costs and go to a different location if possible. Oh and the lighting situation is ubsurd.. they depend on natural lighting in order to not pay bills, when they already save so much on staffing by having 2 workers in the whole restaurant.
Worst Chipotle location I have been to. Ordered online with almost every thing and asked one bowl to have extra lettuce and the portion is incredibly small. Not to mention the last time they completely missed all veggies and sauces in my order😣 today’s chips are also not fresh, it’s soggy… won’t ever given them any more chances…
Every time I have gone to this specific chipotle. The line is always so long. It always seems like there are only a few employees working. But this last time was definitely my last. My food had FLIES yes you are reading correct FLIES flew out of my bowl when I opened it up. I was so disgusted and disappointed. I went back to the restaurant waited another 20-30 mins for someone to help me. The manager asked what I got gave him the order and gave me back only $11 when I had $16+. When the cashier opened my food another FLY flew out in front of her.
