My favorite spot for Thai curry in the Bay area! The green and red curry are both super good.

We loved the chicken wings! Got the chicken larb salad and the panang curry as well all of the food was delicious but I’m going to dream about how crispy those wings were.

Food was so good! I got the combo 2 with basil chicken and garlic noodles. I do agree with the other comments that it IS spicy. Even medium spicy is pretty spicy to me. I also got a Thai tea with my order (which was eh okay). The place is clean and the workers were friendly. I will definitely come again :)

I come here all the time, nearly 3 years now. I just devour everything and every bite, it is so dang delicious. I have to fight my son for any extras. (It will test your better parental instincts. 😆) I always get the eggplant curry and spicy eggplant. The servings are so nice and generous: tons of chicken, tons of veggies. You can get whatever meat u like, but chicken is the bomb. The price is spot on with the quantity AND the quality of food you get. I've been to other spots around The Bay for thai cuisine and very few come close. Little gem of Berryessa and The Bay for sure.

Very good and tasty Vegan options. They made spicy fried rice vegan for us and we just loved it. They can make curries vegan too which is great. My wife loved the red curry combo. Really appreciate the way they Veganise some of their dishes. Thanks Red chili team.

Went there couple days ago with a group of 5, some have doubt to go. But after the lunch, all are happy and want to come back regularly. The food is delicious, fresh and good portion. We ordered 3 Thai and 2 Vietnamese dished to share. Very good experiences.

I love this restaurant. Today i was feeling under the weather and my order had special instructions. Tiffany took my order and when i received it. Everything was perfect. I ordered green curry with beef. I upgraded to coconut rice. It was something i will get again. Taro Egg rolls are so tasty and green tea with lime calmed my stomache.I immediately feel better. Thank you Red Chili 🌶️ for outstanding food and service.

We went here bases on a recommendation from an office colleague and the experience was better than the recommendation 😄 Excellent tasting food... freshness stood out in each and every dish. Service by Khine was very helpful as well. Overall, a Hidden Gem!!

I rate my Thai places by how good the pad Thai is for me. I like my pad Thai on the wet side and the noodles chewy. I love the pad Thai here. I didn't see/taste preserved radish in it though. That wouldve made it perfect for me. It's still very yummy though. I had the tamarind fried fish fillet. And that was delicious too. I would like it a little more tart from the tamarind. Also had the Thai green tea with lime. So refreshing. I'm sad they don't come in large.

Amazing food. Panang curry is 🔥! Basil ground beef is a must try. Never had a better ground beef dish than this one! Friendly staff and great food!

I had a great time at red chillis, thanks to Sean. He was very attentive to my orders and spoke so softly. Next time I will visit will have to be on the next spring but I will look forward to seeing Sean working there :)

I like to stop here after visiting the Pao Hua Buddhist temple over on McKee (really beautiful). Clean seating area, good food, friendly staff. The owner is really nice.

Their Thai food was so good too the roti cani and any noodle dishes. The cat fish fried is incredible too. We already want to go.

It is a small cozy place. I ordered pad kee mao veg/tofu. It was very tasty 😋 portions are large and prices are reasonable. Spicy 🌶️ and flavorful I would definitely recommend it.

Every bite was rich, savory, and totally satisfying. Also ordered combo meal and chose the Panang Curry. It came with a crispy spring roll, white rice, and a fresh salad. First time trying Panang, and I loved it — it’s like red curry but creamier and soupier. Definitely a spot worth revisiting! But the waiting time is a bit longer than expected.

As soon as I dipped into the sauce I knew it was about to be on. I got a combo plate too which I believe was $14 but upgrading to garlic noodles +3 and extra for the eggroll it came to about $20. The combo was good, came with a salad too. Next time I’ll try the fried rice. This location was nice and clean and the service was fast. She kept updating me on when my order would be done.

This is my go to spot for some tasty pad see ew with tofu and veggies. Noodles are cooked just right and there is so much flavor in the sauce. Tofu, broccoli, beef and noodles compliment each other very well. Also tried the avo roll for the first and it was surprisingly good. It tasted fresh so I believe it was prepared fresh. It has a nice crunch from the lettuce, just right amount of mint and the wrapper was nice and chewy not hard like some places. There are tables and seats to sit inside.

We like the green curry and pad see ew - order mild if you can’t take spicy. It’s a small place more for take out than dining in, but the do have a few takes for dining in, no toilet, you have to go Safeway to use the bathroom

Very tasty! All most as good as Siam Station, so I don’t need to drive that far! Pad see you, pad Thai are so good! I will come to this place many times again for sure!

We had catered a couple trays of food for a birthday party and Red Chili and their amazing staff were so accommodating and communicative throughout the whole process. Not to mention their food was amazing and perfect for parties. Would not have chose another restaurant. ❤️❤️❤️

Serviceable food, good portions, decent taste. Friendly staff. Had a problem with my food and BF's food being mixed with the wrong things, but easily fixed.

We ordered two dishes for take out, Pad See Ew & Red Curry. So yummy, not oily & salty, good service.

As Thai goes this place is super affordable and you get a good amount for what you pay. Take out style, not a date spot more of a quick food place. Food is legit spicy so order accordingly. My girl got panang curry medium spicy and by comparison to most places medium it could have passed as a very hot. I got the spicy egg plant hot which was good but I could have gotten hotter. The spicy level is dependent on the dish I would say.

I've gone to the Hayward location many times whenever I'm craving Thai food. Red Chili has been around for 20+ years and is well-known in the East Bay for their Thai and Vietnamese inspired cuisine. I'm happy to discover that this family-owned restaurant finally has expanded to the South Bay! What shocked me the most was that I never knew this SJ location has been open since 2017! This Red Chili is a lot smaller and more of a take out/catering spot, but they do have about six tables if you want to dine in. Their San Jose menu actually has some dishes that I haven't seen at the Hayward location too! THE LAAB WINGS ARE A MUST GET! They have a few small high boys and only one regular table. So not a place that is encouraging a sit down meal. But they were fast and do a ton of takeout.

Been around this place ages and didn't go till today. I have heard good things about them and overall they are fine. Their plate is a bit on the lighter side with the pricing being reflected on that but tasted good with a lot of variety on their menu. Would visit again and try something else next time.

Spicy fried rice wasn’t really spice. The rolls were ok. Pad Thai was decent.

I came here on a Sunday and the experience was totally different from today. The crab rice was cool, but to day the cashier charged me more money claiming the price has changed but the menu online and in store is different. So is the attitude of the worker. I drove 35 minutes to be disappointed! I was so happy about this place now I’m sad cause this will be the last time. They offer to dine in but no restrooms so you can’t even wash your hand.

My curry was bland which is a subjective assessment. However, it was microwaved and lacking freshness for me. Very disappointed. I was also disappointed with the papaya salad. The lettuce was in chunks. Almost like they were making mini wedge salads.

I ordered the veggie basil stir fry online for $14.95 + tax + convenience fee + tip. It does not come with rice. In my opinion, what you get (some vegetables in a spicy liquid) is definitely not worth the high price tag. I requested that they do not include mushrooms, but the stir fry I received had mushrooms. Forewarning, the medium spice level is very hot! You can’t taste any of the flavor because the heat is overpowering. The only positives were that the food was prepared very quickly and the girl working the counter was nice, but I won’t be coming back.
