This has been my favorite Indian restaurant in the south bay area for a long time now. A bit pricier than other places, but better quality, and very consistent. I have never had a bad experience here.

Awesome food at a pretty affordable price. We came for lunch and tried out the buffet. It was really good quality and we were sufficiently fed to say the least. Come try it out. Good atmosphere, good service

We love this place. Service is excellent. Kids menu is limited to two items, but it's two delicious choices with a generous quantity of food. Highly recommended.

It was worth it! Nice price and get to try varies of Indian food. Pani puri was very authentic. Just hope the tea is better, taste little bit watery. Everything else is perfect, service is good

We went for the buffet on weekend, the spread was good with delicious food. This is our second time visiting here and we were happy with food and ambience both times. Highly recommend this place for Indian comfort food.

Een though the mains are great, there's so many more flavors to explore by opting for a few of the starters. The dine in was quiet, food and service excellent. Would love to see it fuller again with the buzz it had pre-pandemic, although the quieter atmosphere was really enjoyable too. Sizzling shrimp and cauliflower starters were delish choices.

This restaurant has some really good lunch buffet. Have been here for their lunch buffet quite a few times now. They have chaat options as well in their buffet. Food is great and their service is good too.

Yummiest butter chicken and mutton biryani ever!! My kids loved it. We order frequently from here.

This is one of the best maintained indian food in bay area. I have seen lot of places opening fine but fail to maintain the standards but not Mynt. It has always been the same consistent good taste and good food. I would highly recommend their chicken biryani, rack of lambs and butter chicken. One interesting thing is they are open to make few dishes which are not listed on their regular menu. Try that option as well and you will be pleasantly surprised.

You have to like Indian food to appreciate this restaurant.

Palak chaat was really good and a very generous portion for an appetizer! Naan was good as well. The kofta was not the best. Or at least the gravy was very generic.

Best India food in town! I have been going to The Mynt for over 15 years. I love Chicken Tikka, Mango Salad, Samosa, Chai tea and many more... We usually go there for dinner. Sometimes lunch with business friends. Good quality food. The staff is always nice and friendly. And very clean! Highly recommend.

Good food, wide range of delicacies, perfect ambiance, far from freeways but easily accessible, naan was not upto the mark, ordered separate garlic naan though. Overall would visit again for lunch buffet.

I called Mr Tej just a day before the Diwali celebration at our place, he was very patient and helped me to customise food options to accommodate the small number of people. Food was good and liked by everyone. And when my husband went to pick food, they checked food items and made sure everything is all good. 👌👌👌👌👌highly recommended

I came here for the first time and I loved it! I grew up in this area and have passed by The Mynt everyday and I wish I came here years ago. The samosas are amazing especially with the dipping sauce it comes with. The butter chicken is flavorful, the tandoori chicken is also amazing. I also got the Rawalpindi Chole Lababdar. Everything was extremely fresh and hot. The server also accommodated for those who wanted their dishes a bit more spicy. If you want authentic Indian food, come here. I will definitely be back.

Great food. We go for the lunch buffet and it is a bargain. They bring you hot fresh Nan with gee when you sit down to eat, and it keeps coming till you are done. Good rotation of food in the buffet, but the staples are always there like butter chicken, vegetable pakora (yummy), and tandoori chicken. Good assortment of veggie dishes as well as paneer, another of my favorites. Last time we went, they had a delicious mango panacotta for desert in the buffet with fresh strawberries and blueberries on the side. Parking can be tricky, and the atmosphere is OK, but go for the food!

S

Mynt Restaurant offers a standout buffet experience with a limited yet delicious selection. Their butter chicken and paneer matar are particularly noteworthy, paired perfectly with roti. It's been a long time since we've enjoyed such satisfying buffet food. The friendly service further enhances the overall experience. Highly recommended for a great meal!

Indian restaurant was the attraction to order a few items from this place and when we reached there to pick up the food, got to see the restaurant too , which was equally good and so we decided to next time come over and have dinner here. Ordered, palak chaat which was crispy and delicious, along with Shaan savera kofta and teen mirch ka salan. Too good 👍

We ordered Lamb Rogan Josh and Awadh Biryani from this place. We have ordered a few times before from this restaurant and it never disappoints us . Food was delicious with quality ingredient and not very oily or spicy. Overall we love this restaurant and will definitely order again .

The lunch buffet is a great deal and good quality, not too salty or oily. The goat mutton is tender and butter chicken is sweet. Northern Indian curry cuisine at its finest Atmosphere is calming and hip. Our server with the ponytail is super cool.

Door Dash. Butter chicken and Pesto naan. Loaded with flavor. The sauce was silky and spicy. Perfect with the pesto naan. No forks needed, just dig in. One order of bread wasn't enough because it was so delicious Update: Chicken Tikka Masala. Smackin' !l

I was seated pretty quickly. The place is a little fancy. There's a room with a TV that had sports on (looks like a room for big parties and reservations). I got the chicken tikka masala and the Mynt lambshank vindaloo. They were fine. They weren't spicy at all. I wasn't asked about a spiciness level. The naan was so good though. I wish I got more instead of the rice (rice was fine). They take aeay your leftovers and pack your it for you if you ask to take it to go, which is nice.

Great food and very good service. The food tasted authentic Indian and the staff was very friendly and courteous. Ambience and decor is upscale and the restaurant is not on the expensive side. They provided a great birthday dessert to celebrate the occasion. I would recommend this for Indian Cuisine in the bay area. Tip: their Biryani was a hit!

V
Vasant Chole

Peaceful place for dine and quite calm. If you want to discuss with your friends or family members, you can conveniently carry on discussion. A good Indian test food and you can ask for spice level.

M
Mohammed Ishaq

Good clean restaurant with very good ambience. The dahi puri was good as were the tandoori chicken and naan. The Cochin mixed vegetables, which has a fancier name on the menu, was so so, nothing special and not worth the fancy name. The chicken Tikka masala was good too. The service was good. Will definitely be back to check out other menu items as Indian restaurants where you can sit down and enjoy food and company are very rare in the Bay Area.

B
Brett Frazer

Good taste. Service was a little slow and they messed up on the request to hold delivering the appetizers ordered as mains for the person in our group who wasn't hungry enough for a full meal. They had to eat ahead of every one else so their food wasn't cold.

S
Shalini Priyadarshini

Their lunch buffet is one of the best in the Bay Area. Worth it’s price. We don’t go for it anymore because we always end up eating too much😛. I would love to have an option where we pay less if we eat less (fill our plate only once). Menu and quality is consistent.

M
Michael

Good food and my 2nd favorite Indian cuisine in the south bay area. Clifford is a very attentive server and always makes sure to offer my favorite chai tea before I even think about ordering or visiting the buffet table. Goat curry is flavorful but has too many sharp bones. I enjoy most if the dishes here and will return as long as it remains consistent.

Hidden gem in West San Jose. Good ambience, great chaat, good food, great service and decent prices. Not too crowded, so you can take your time and enjoy the dining experience. Good amount of spice for the Indian palette and everything is fresh and yumm. I must say the panipuri & mango salad in today's lunch buffet was fabulous.. the best I have ever had! The food is authentic Indian and it seems like its been prepared with effort & love!

A

Food is great, but staff can be better, especially the manager. My wife and I had our baby shower here. The manager was not supportive of any of the requests we had, like sitting arrangements changes, flexibility of timing.

S

As part of our college meetup, we decided to try out the Sunday buffet at this restaurant. Although the selection of dishes was limited, we were pleased to find that the quality of the food was excellent. All of the dishes we tried were not only good, but also flavorful and tasty, which made our dining experience enjoyable. Would recommend to try the orange pista kulfi in their dessert menu.

W
William Rassieur

Food is first class. Flavors are awesome. Minor caveat: delay. Website saying "ready in 20 minutes" consistently means "ready in 45 minutes" in reality. Still, food is worth it! Update: we have ordered take out every few weeks since the original review. Love it!

E
Elyse Belanger-Bailey

Good service. Beautiful ambiance (even the bathroom was beautiful and very clean). Food is excellent, however, the portions are small (2 SMALL stuffed potatoes for $17????) The wine was expensive for approx 4oz. Summary: great food, small portions for the price.

H

Nice upscale dining experience for dinner. We loved the appetizers -- the sweet potatoes and Malabari shrimp. We also had sea bass and chicken tikka dishes which we enjoyed. The service was attentive and courteous. I have been there for lunch buffet and this was my first time for dinner. My family and I enjoyed the experience.

I'm picking up food and walked in and first impression was the looks of the place. Very posh, fancy. Beautiful tables, nice lighting. Second impression was the smell as I walked in the door. Delicious Indian food smell of Curry and rice. UforUnfortuna my food wasn't ready right away and kept me waiting.

D
Deric Lambdin

The food was absolutely amazing, but definitely closer to $$$ than $$. For my wife and I, it was about $65 altogether after tip. So just note that it will be more expensive than you may expect. Also note, you will need to buy rice separately as it is not included. At all the other Indian restaurants we have been to, rice was typically included with the purchase of a curry dish.

I
Indra Singhal

Upscale Indian. Lunch buffet is elaborate, food is always great. At our birthday party, they were having some trouble keeping up - running out of fresh plates... That was a bit odd. I'd go back for the food.

N
Niral Shah

This is not a typical Indian food restaurant. The taste is more suitable to the American people. The food is mild/medium taste-wise but they can make it spicy as per request. We went on Friday evening and were able to get a table easily. The staff is very courteous and checks on you if everything is good. We ordered the ragda pattice papdi Chaat and Rawalpindi choley. The ragda pattice papdi Chaat was better than choley.

S
Sidharth Behera

A good fine dine experience. Ordered Chicken Biriyani and kofta. The Kofta was very delicious. The Biriyani was one of a kind. Not comparable to the southern style with heavy spices but on a lighter side but flavorful. If you want an Indian fine dine, flavorful dishes without the heaviness this should be a spot to go.

J
Joshua A.

Good paneer masala and tandoori chicken. The food isn't noticeably any better than most other places, but the quality of the interior is definitely up a notch. Nice staff too.

A
Archak

Naan quality is really good! Better than many Bay area Indian restaurants. Gravy of Rogan Josh was flavorful, loved it. A few pieces of lamb were a bit too hard, plus the indoor seating area was colder than the room temperature. So 4 stars in overall rating. Expect better heating from an upscale restaurant. Service was good.

S
Sujit Das

Authentic tasting dishes. Great service. Comfortable atmosphere. Good spaces between tables. Had lunch on a Friday. No reservations necessary. Parking adequate. We had chat, shrimp & Reshmi kabab for starters. Rogan josh & Chicken korma for entre with roti. Gulab jamun & kulfi for dessert. All very tasty. Bill came to ~ $ 50 per head.

Good food. Not quite as inexpensive as places that are vegetarian only, but prices are still moderate. Lamb shank vindaloo was super tender, more sweet than savory. If you like savory, get something else.

Buffet average ( but only 16.95 if you go Mon-Thurs). Fri is more expensive. Both Rices are very good. Biryani? & Dessert Rice delicious. Butter Chicken is always good. I think Dad forgot to try Butter Chicken. Tandoori is very good texture. Nice pieces of chicken. But only thing is flavour light ( but texture good). I recommend you put Butter Chicken tomato sauce on top of the Tandoor chicken as its the best sauce. However, I found the other sauces to be lacking a little flavour. I love Daal or Dhal but it just seem average? I forgot to try the potato one ( I get quickly full as small stomach). They did have a very nice looking Mango salad but the mango were firm ( not ripe) so I wish the Mango more sweet ( lucky I only took 3 small piece so did not waste). But they have a red sauce was very sweet. I recommend the red looking sauce to put on Mango. There is green sauce ( Coriander) but very salty. I wish they have regular coriander or cilantro for people like me who avoid too much salt. Overall light taste. The Yogurt is light salty but good. The Chai tea is excellent but no sugar. I am lazy. but i have a feeling if I put more sugar in my tea it is very good tea. Service is excellent. They immediate bus your table. Since I dont eat very much they bus my table everytime my small plate was finish. Oh, Naan look delicious (free with buffet) Dad ate it. I did not eat Naan ( I cut back on gluten) but rice is very good. They also had 3rd rice or maybe it was nut or coconut ( Im not sure)...I did not take much because I was afraid it might be sweet but very good. I like to know what was in it ( look good)

Overall, lovely restaurant, serving Indian Classics and many regional Indian dishes. I came here for the weekend buffet although items are limited. You could tell that there’s a lot of quality in the ingredients being used and he’s not cutting corners in the buffet. Naan is spectacular! Food: This review for the buffet food only. Overall good buffet they did cover a lot of vegetarian and non-vegetarian items. I did feel like there was not enough spice or lemon in some of the dishes. But what I did really appreciate was that the ingredients were very quality and it was not overly greasy. I have a feeling that the regular menu items when you order à la cart have more punchy flavors. Love that they kept butter, chicken, panipuri, and Pav bhaji in the buffet! Service: Service was top-notch. I came here on saturday for lunch. I never felt like I was unattended to . The waiters always were looking at our table and and making sure we got enough naan and water. The naan here is amazing!! All tandoor items are fantastic. Atmosphere: Clean, well kept, and has a warm environment in this restaurant. There is a free parking lot next to the restaurant.

No high top table or bar to hang out at so it's hard to really relax here. But it is a good place to sit down eat and leave. Traditional solid indian food with good decor and nice dim lighting. Overall it's pretty solid but hope to see a high top table and bar area soon !!!!! Thank you by the way for not overdoing the music. It was nice and quiet.

I had a Sunday buffet: Great food quality Vegetarian food tasted better Starters were good (Pani puri with chickpea, fritters, mini aloo tikki. Limited buffet variety for the price though There was goat biryani and rice option. No chicken biryani. Dessert was average, could have been better with more sweetness. No ice cream.

Consistently good Indian food with plenty of gluten and peanut free options. Weekend buffet has plenty of choices and a good value. Service is friendly and efficient. Parking has not been a problem usually.

Last night we picked up food from the Mynt. It is usually flavorful. While the other dishes were fine the chef had clearly forgotten to season the butter chicken. It felt like we got an order of unseasoned flavored buttery sauce with roasted unseasoned chicken. Disappointed.

A
Arpita Agrawal

Ordered shaam savera kofta and matar mint tikki. Both dishes were bland, but tasted okay. When we ordered, they were brought to us within like 5 mins, which seemed like they were not freshly prepared or even heated well. We were disappointed with the food quality. I would give full points about ambience though.

D
Darius Parakh

The food was nice, however, I would definitely describe it as generic. Nothing special that stands out, making it a bit disappointing. The naan was nice, and had a cool way to infuse flavors into the bread. Overall, nothing to cry about, but it held it's ground.

S
Saranya Mitra

We went for the lunch buffet today and the food left much to be desired. We had ordered a la carte from here before and the food was really good so we wanted to try the buffet. The variety was limited but that's not the problem at all. The food was too bland. My spice tolerance is pretty low but this was bland even for me. The food was also quite cold. The butter chicken was too tangy and watered down. I loved the naan and the jalebi fir dessert. Service was very good. Also there was no beverage as a part of the buffet and we ordered mango lassi separately. They need to up their buffet game knowing that there are so many good Indian buffet places around the area. We won't be returning for sure. The ambience is good.

Service and Ambiance is excellent. The prices are reasonable and overall a good experience. Food is good quality wise but didn't hit out of the park on the taste front but you could feel the ingredients are good quality.

Pretty good Indian food. Some of the dishes like the gobi Manchurian missed the mark

A

Some of the food items were great and a few felt stale and bad in taste( like the dahi puri). The baby corn bezule was kind of bland, I had to use the chutneys from other items. The service quality was good. I recommend trying the lychee Panna cotta for dessert.

Had the palak chaat, peshawari kebab, amritsari fish, dahi puri, shaamsavera kofta. The chaat and dahi puri were tasty, but the fish n chicken quite bland. Hardly any spice. These tasted much better a few years ago. Orange kulfi was great. Staff attentive & helpful.

We have tried Mynt a few times and have always felt underwhelmed by the flavors. They have an exciting menu, and they do a good job with their overall presentation, but while the food isn't bad, it doesn't impress as well!

A
Ankur Jaiswal

Very Disappointing food quality, quantity and customer service. Went there on the weekend for the lunch buffet and even at 1pm they were constantly running out of food. Saw the chef get himself a plate during the service and the wait staff had no idea if they charged for kids 3 year old. Go to so many of the other great Indian restaurants in the Bay area and avoid Mynt!!

S
Shikha

I decided to get my dinner here looking at good ratings, but was disappointed. Although the staff was professional and the service was quick, the food wasn't upto the standard especially for such a high price tag. The curry I had, lacked any flavor and tasted too bland with a somewhat "artificial" feel to it. Honestly, the gravy tasted as if it was increased by adding more water. I wish I had liked the place but I won't be going there again.

A
Abhijit Borude

We went for a lunch buffet. It's location is convenient and the ambience is nice. We were a large group of 10 and they were nice to give us a big table in the private room which also had a TV. But good things ended there. The food quality was average and there weren't enough choices. Dishes and especially the bowls were not perfectly clean, paneer Makhni didn't have paneer for a long time, taste in general was not great except couple of items and in the end not a single person in our group came out happy. Overall, this place has a great potential but needs to improve on its food quality.

N
Nitin D

Food was not great, left disappointed with the buffet spread on a Saturday afternoon. Better buffets with more variety are available in the bay area.

I
Ishita Tiwari

Overrated restaurant! It was a buffet the panipuris were soggy. Buns of pav bhaji were kept on pan for so long that they were hard enough to replace stones. Poor service. Took so long to refill the food. Chicken gravy without chicken was one of the best part. 😂😂 Good for people who haven’t eaten authentic Indian cuisine.

R
Ruchit B

DO NOT trust that a vegetarian dish is in fact vegetarian here. They most definitely share the utensils and curries between vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. We (group of 6) ordered a vegetable awadhi biryani (pulaav) among other food and started eating it. Found a hard structure in the dish, one of the friends checked and it was a bone. Checked with the restaurant and they were apologetic. Replaced with another dish but the damage was already done. They did waive off our bill for the dinner with their verbal apology. This situation wasn't expected from a fine dine restaurant such as Mynt. I hope they make some changes to their kitchen habits.

A
Aniruddha Damle

The service and atmosphere were excellent, but the food was really tasteless. We ordered the chicken biryani, and the chicken tasted like it had only been tossed in oil and turmeric. There is no flavor at all. The rice was completely devoid of moisture. The chicken 65 was not at all like chicken 65; it was sugary and tasted as though it had been tossed in ketchup. The appetizers came in about 2-3 mins, which seemed like a very short time for it to be called as fresh food. Overall, a negative experience that I will not suggest.

I
Ishita Tiwari

In the month of March, we went for a buffet, the rice was almost uncooked or have been exposed to too much heat that it hardened. Chicken was so bland. That day they had pav bhaji and all the breads were left on the tawa. It just made them so hard that one would need a saw to cut it. Overrated Indian food. Good for the audience who has less exposure or no exposure to authentic Indian cuisines.

M
Monica Rastogi

The weekend lunch buffet is very bad in taste. The food was cold and bland. The food options are not only limited but the selection of dishes is pathetic. The rice kheer was burnt and there was no action from restaurant staff, once informed about it. The halwa too tasted awful.

D
Danendra Singh

Ordered awadh chicken biryani. It smelled terrible and had gone bad. Highly disappointed with the food quality and safety.

D
Dhyanesh Poojary

Ordered online for home delivery. I ordered for vegetarian earlier and it was good, so thought of ordering non veg but this time it was blunder. Seriously the menu is quite expensive but the taste was so damn blank. Chicken curry had no spices and watery gravy. Chicken Biryani was dry. Only try for some vegetarian dishes and avoid non vegetarian.

M
Mary Aghili

Awful experience I paid 35$ just to get a bowl of white water instead of chicken pista korma. I had this stew many times before in other places. Always colorful and tasty. This time is pale white with salt, very watery not like a soup even!!. I am not going to this place again and recommend you not giving it a chance

This is indian restaurant is very bad in customer service. I have seen them many times even before. Many times rude in customer service. Also They if they recognize you you're indian then they have an explicit bad behaviour towards you. Last time which yesterday I went there again since I was craving indian food. I order alot couldn't finish there so i asked for to-go box. This guy offered to pack from the kitchen and didn't pack breads, brown jira rice and raita, Which by the way was too much coz ordered 3 people worth of food and I was single...only curries and dal is what he packed and sent me out. Looks like they their customers the left overs from other customers. Very cheap indian restaurant which is why this restaurant I never see full packed their bad rude customer service and cheating attitude.

A
Aarti Jha

We went for their weekend buffet, every thing was over and whatever was left was full of oil, no salt. Worst food I have ever had in my life. Edit1: we have explicitly asked to have a word with the chef or the manager but staff very conveniently said both of them are on break for next 3 hours. Staff was not supportive at all.

S
Sanhitha Kola

Tried the buffet here and was quite disappointed. The variety was extremely limited hardly a few dishes to choose from. For a buffet, you expect a good spread, but this felt more like a fixed meal. Taste wise too, nothing was impressive. Definitely not worth the price. Wouldn’t recommend if you’re looking for a satisfying or value for money dining experience.

A
Abhishek Bhardwaj

I had the unfortunate experience of dining at this restaurant's buffet, and it was hands down one of the worst Indian buffets I've ever had. I'm genuinely disappointed, and here's why: Lackluster Buffet Selection: The buffet boasted a paltry variety of dishes, particularly non-vegetarian options. To be more specific, there were just 2-3 non-veg options available. It's unacceptable to charge customers for a buffet and offer such limited choices. This alone would deter me from ever returning. Unacceptably Long Wait for Refills: I had the displeasure of waiting for nearly 20 minutes for the staff to replenish the empty trays. It was incredibly frustrating to watch them move at a snail's pace while hungry customers stared at empty containers. It's as if they had no regard for the patrons' time or satisfaction. Tasteless Food: The food I encountered was not only prepared quickly but also lacked any semblance of flavor. It was as though the chefs threw ingredients together haphazardly without any care for the final result. Indian cuisine is celebrated for its rich, aromatic flavors, but this was a tasteless disappointment. Unreachable Management: When I inquired about speaking with the manager or chef to address my concerns, the staff provided nothing but excuses. They claimed that both the manager and chef were mysteriously unavailable. It's apparent that this establishment has no interest in addressing customer issues or improving the dining experience. The Worst Indian Buffet Ever: In conclusion, this is undoubtedly the worst Indian buffet I have ever had the misfortune of visiting. The combination of an extremely limited selection, agonizingly slow refills, tasteless food, and unresponsive staff left me with an unforgettable negative impression. I would advise anyone considering dining here to think twice and explore other options for a genuinely satisfying dining experience.

The best day to go, we were told by the staff, is Saturday. Sunday, you get leftovers and really limited choices. And, oh the bathrooms - are disgusting.

12/30/2025 At 12:30 ,I had a really disappointing experience at The Mynt. I ordered Chicken 65, and it was honestly one of the worst I’ve had. There was no salt or spice at all, the chicken was very dry, and some pieces felt undercooked. What bothered me most was that a few pieces had an unpleasant smell, which made it hard to even finish it . Literally trash!!!!! Food quality is very important, and this experience completely ruined my appetite. Unfortunately, I won’t be eating at this location again.

I was a regular customer for a while, but the overall quality was dropping. Today, it was a total disaster. The atmosphere, tables and the whole restaurant was old and broken as if anything broke, they didn’t fix it. The buffet table was minimal with only few watery dishes. The food quality was very poor. Chicken tandoori pieces were 95% bone with no meat. Please see the picture. Everything was tasteless. The service? Nothing special at all. Very disappointed and I truly believe the new owners don’t know how to run a restaurant. Too bad!

Dined in on a Friday for lunch buffet, Don’t bother going if you want to eat good food. Neither variety nor decent taste exist. Ambience and staff are good; just not the food or menu selection in a buffet.

There was a dead fly in the food that we ordered. I ordered butter chicken and Paneer curry from They Mynt as the pictures looked great and the restaurant name sounded exotic Indian. We were very hungry and started serving the food into plates. I even had a couple of bites and there it is, a fly in the food. It was disgusting. I was surprised with the hygiene levels.
