Opinions de Holy Cow Steakhouse San Juan
I had a wonderful meal at Holy Cow Chino Hills recently. The food was delicious—especially the tender tri-tip and flavorful ribs—but the service truly made the visit stand out. A huge thanks to Ken for his incredibly thoughtful and attentive service. He was professional, welcoming, and made sure we had everything we needed for a perfect dining experience. It’s rare to find such genuine hospitality! With great food and Ken’s top-tier service, this is definitely my go-to BBQ spot in the area. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a fantastic meal!
Trying out a new AYCE Wagyu in my town. It definitely did not disappoint, the place is a smaller restaurant. The meat freshness and quality is on point. Beautiful marbling on Wagyu meats. Service is quite fast also, once you order your meats it actually comes out quite fast. There is also other choices other than meat dishes. They also have verities of sushi’s. Overall great experience and prices starts at $50 (Platinum). Which is all I need, but they do have 2 higher tiers for even more Wagyu meats. Definitely recommend!!
Holy Cow in Chino Hills never disappoints! The all-you-can-eat Wagyu is absolutely worth it — high quality, well-marbled, and consistently delicious every time we come. This was our 5th visit, and the experience continues to be top-notch. Ken, our server, was prompt, attentive, and made sure everything kept flowing smoothly. He checked in regularly without being intrusive and made the whole dining experience even better. If you’re looking for a great AYCE Wagyu spot in Chino Hills with excellent service, Holy Cow is it. We’ll definitely be back again!
Food is sooo delicious. My personal favorite is the Zabuton!! Kenny helped us today and he is the best server! Service is so fast, he is very patience and helpful! We had the best experience eating here! Would definitely come back here!
Food is so delicious. Cara helped us today and she is the best server! Service is so fast, she is very patience and helpful! We came here by chance and had the best experience eating here! Would definitely come back here! My experience here was so good! Me and my friend came here by chance and had a great time. Our waitress Cara was super nice and helped explain everything to us since it was our first time!
Good food and decent pricing. I liked the Uni scallop carpaccio special dish. If you don’t care for A5 or special dishes, Supreme or Platinum tiers would suffice. I’d also prefer to have a self-service drink bar.
Soooo good wagyu beef for Korean BBQ. So delicious and ayce. I was very happy and there was no waiting when it opened. The service was excellent and they were very attentive. I highly recommend.
My experience here was so good! Me and my friend came here by chance and had a great time. Our waitress Silvia was super nice and helped explain everything to us since it was our first time! The meat was sooo melty and good!!!
Premium wagyu experience locally in Chino hills Came here starving after a workout and theewt and side selections really impressed me. Enjoyed the premium offerings and the service was incredible. It's a bit pricey but worth every cent.
Had an incredible dining experience here! The Waygu was absolutely amazing — everything was flavorful. We loved every dish that came out. A special shoutout to Jolin and Kenny for their excellent service. They were friendly, attentive, and made the whole meal even better with their great hospitality. You can really feel they care about the customers. Highly recommend this place if you’re craving top-quality Japanese BBQ. Definitely coming back!
Cheaper than chubby but same quality or better!! My fave is the zabuton. You don’t even need to get the more expensive tiers to still get delicious options in the base tier. Unlimited sides included! Our go-to spot!!! I refuse to go anywhere else now.
Had such a great time in LA! My friend took me to this BBQ place during my vacation, and it was amazing. The food was fresh and flavorful, the portions were generous, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Definitely one of the highlights of my trip! Highly recommend if you’re in Los Angeles.
This place is fantastic. Our server was amazing and so helpful at recommending meats to try. We are definitely come back!
The meat was delicious and fresh; my son loved it. We come here often, and the manager, Ken, even remembers us. The service was excellent and very friendly.
I had a great experience at this self-service BBQ restaurant. The quality of the meat was genuinely impressive—fresh, well-marinated, and flavorful. The staff were also very friendly and attentive, always making sure we had everything we needed. Overall, it’s a great place to enjoy good BBQ with excellent service. Highly recommended!

This is my first time to visit holy cow. This is definitely great restaurant with high quality meat. I had to give applause to Ken, the front house manager provides excellent services! Will be back next time!
This place is fantastic. Our server was amazing and so helpful at recommending meats to try. We are definitely come back!
The store manager, Ken, was very kind and helped us place our food order. We ordered the Supreme Tier, and the quality of the meat was excellent.
Great time with my good friends. Meat was great. Highly recommend the zabuton, kanubi plate, and of course have to include the brisket! Don't miss out on all the sides on the back of the menu, I think it's the largest side menu I've ever seen. LPT get the corn and cheese to scoop with your brisket and finish the meal with the brown sugar rice cake. It is a must according to my wife.
Such a hidden gem in the city of Chino Hills. Specially if you’re craving for Japanese bbq with high quality meats with out the crazy drive to LA area. Excellent service. And the meats are delicious.
kenny and Ken 👍The food was very delicious and the service was great. The staff were friendly and made us feel welcome. The restaurant was clean and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. I really enjoyed my meal here and would definitely come back again. Highly recommend! 😊
I visited Holy Cow for the first time with my wife. This restaurant is the best out of restaurants we've ever visited. Ken and Nicole are very kind and served with warm-hearted mind. And all the meats are best and Japanese dishes are very delicious. We really enjoyed the time and all the foods. Thank you very much for the good service.
Food was top notch. But the place was small so there was a considerable wait time. We waited about an hour, but it was worth it. We sat for about 10 minutes before anyone came to us to get our order, but once you order, the meat came fast. Serving size were small but (true to its name) HOLY COW, they were amazing! For an is faults, we will be back because the meat was fantastic.
We had $49 AYCE and kabutan was my favorite with beautiful marble, other dishes are not exactly “wagyu” standard in my opinion but overall it’s worth a visit. Sides are also unlimited but I think the quality of raw fish is lacking - I would stick to meat. Pork jawl and wild shrimps are also tasty. Sylvia, our waitress, is very attentive!
FOOD: All the meats and sushi were very good! Highly recommend getting the supreme (mid) tier unless you are really into the special cuts. We found that the regular cuts were plenty for us because the special cuts are very fatty! My favorite special dish was the scallop uni carpaccio. All the nigiri and other carpaccio was good as well. The banchan and sauces were great too. Service: Our servers were very sweet! It gets really busy but our plates came out relatively fast. The restaurant isn’t very big. Ambience Casual and we noticed how we didn’t leave with that typical bbq smell you get when you leave k bbq. I think the grill fans are built into the grill table so the smoke barely leaves the grill. A plus for us! Other mentions: We went on a Friday evening ~6:30pm and ended up waiting about 1 hour for our table for 2. Get there at 5-6pm if you don’t want to wait. At first we were rubbed the wrong way because after waiting an hour the host told us we were up next, assuming the next time he came out it would be to seat us. The next time he came out he called a different name so we said for (my name)? You said we were next. And he said no, for (NAME) are you (NAME)? And we said no.. but you told us we were next and we just got a text that our table is ready. He kept calling for said name and no one by that name was there. He then looked at us like we were wasting his time and said another group took my table when he called our name. Which didn’t happen because we were waiting there the whole time and saw the people before us go in when they were called by their own name. Then he kinda just shook us off like whatever I’ll just get you seated anyways. ????? Yeah cus we’re up??? It was a very rude interaction and I would’ve left a worse review if he didn’t come by our table to apologize for being short with us after we were seated lol.

Meat is good kind of pricey imo I like the m9 chuck eye Also have sushi or some other food can order Kind of interesting the coke soda has to order itself, usually this price drink should be ayce too, also only have like 3 soda choices Server come often to help order
This is a 4.5 star review. Yes...I know you rarely get to see me giving out 4.5 stars in my review because I am quite picky on the meat and this is something you get for the price you pay for and even more. I don't really want to share this so I get to queue longer in the future but definitely want to support our local shop because they deserve it. We tried basics $49/person set and trust me this will give you all you ask for. Brisket and Steak are highly recommended and all appetizers are good to try. They even have the cold noodle which is my first time seeing it on AYCE. Highly recommend although we wish they have a bigger table to fit more people. All staffs are super nice and very helpful. Will definitely come back (P.S. Shrimps can be skipped)
Good place for upscale Korean bbq, nice location and plenty of parking. The meat cuts were exceptional and lots of variety, not many side dishes but ok selection. Good to read up on the menu and rules before you go, we were there at a busy time and the waiters seemed rushed in trying to explain it all. Weekends are crazy busy with long wait times, so plan ahead.
