We decided to celebrate Valentine’s Day early & came to Cody’s! One of our favorites!! They didn’t disappoint. We started with a yummy Caesar salad, wine & cocktails. All were fantastic! My hubby had the Picanha steak. I had the delicious, perfectly cooked salmon & we shared the best Brussels sprouts! The food was so good & the service was top-notch!
Cody’s has a laidback feel with an upscale menu that doesn’t disappoint. It looks pretty unassuming from the outside, but we were pleasantly surprised once we got inside. The bacon wrapped poblano peppers are fan-dang-tastic! They have some sort of corn concoction inside that puts these over the top! Drinks were also top-notch and of course, you’re not hearing from me if the place isn’t clean and the service isn’t on point! The bar area was a good size, but with only one tv, plan to enjoy your peeps and not the game. We had a great time!
Stopped by for Happy Hour. Drinks were great as well as their burger. I’ll be back.

So let me just say that the food was amazing! However watch out for Omari #Dude.. When we arrived, a party of two. We were told that they were “booked” for the evening. So Omari, who we found out has appeared in commercials for Dairy Queen, and Taco Bell, told us that we would have to sit at the bar mind you, I guess this was the invisible people night, the restaurant never got full. However we enjoyed our food and our time with our server, and Patrick who introduced us to a Mexican Martini. You have to try it!! Of course, we spoke with Omari again, and asked where were the reservations that prevented us from having a table. Let’s just say this, Omari is a great actor and we wish him well in his career! If you’re in the area, stop by!
My husband and I come here every once in a while and we always have a phenomenal experience. Our favorite time to visit is lunch. Not too busy, we sit at the bar and enjoy some drinks and food. We love the atmosphere, the food is delicious and the drinks are superb. Anytime we are in San Marcus, we come here. 10/10 highly recommended
I’ve gone to Cody’s since 2021. The service is excellent. Bartenders and waiters are informative, service-minded and demonstrate a superior kind of service that rarely exists today. I’ve tried almost every entree over the years and also love coming during happy hour for discounts on fancy small plates and the wagyu burger. After years of regular patronage, it is a privilege to consider such a high-end culinary experience a frequent part of my life. Our favorite dishes right now are the short rib, burger, mac ‘n cheese, brussels sprouts, and Cesar salad.
Enjoyed my birthday celebration here with my husband and teen daughters. It was delicious! Started with salads and milk bread... scrumptious! The compound butter served with the milk bread was perfect! So much so I took the rest home and used it in our dinner the next night. Entrées were Wellington, 2 Filet and Shrimp... it was mouth watering! We topped it off with the warm brownie and ice cream. Every ounce was polished off and not one item (save for the butter) was taken home. That's a first! There was some sticker shock at the end but it really was a fabulous time! We will be returning for a date night in the next few months.
My wife and I had a very good experience all around. Milk bread and Cobb salad starters were great, short ribs and angus burger were quite good for dinner and caramel chocolate cake was to die for. Top service as well. As a business owner I pay attention to staff and this group was top notch. Aliana was our server and very friendly and timely.
Place looked amazing. Great place for great drinks and exceptional food and great price. Lobster rolls are amazing, naked Alfredo was to dye for. Cream Bru Lea was divine , So get a table and ask for Tonya. She will make it great evening and great experience!
First time eating here. The atmosphere is really nice. Beautiful bar and Jonsey was the best bartender. I ordered the pasta and shrimp and it was delicious. My husband got the scallops and was disappointed they were super small but he said the sauce was delicious. I took half of the pasta home and poured the rest of his sauce on it. Ate it the next day and that was even better. Great restaraunt and I’m sure the steaks are great. Definitely recommend.
Food is a 10 Tonya was an amazing server.. drinks were never empty and very professional...bluefish tar tar was amazing... beef wellington was the best I've ever had. Get the Brussels
Talk about an awesome find! The drinks and food, amazing. The vibe, super chill. Can’t stress enough on how great the service was. The steak was cooked to perfection. Probably one of the tastiest steaks I’ve had. Cody’s was such an awesome spot. Try the drinks!!! They’re really good. Fresh, hits the spot.
What a wonderful restaurant tucked into the Southside of San Marcos near the outlet malls. Our server, Mikey, was so kind and attentive and all of our food was amazing. We started with the SHOKUPAN (JAPANESE MILK BREAD) and the bread was superb. We also enjoyed the COCONUT PANKO FRIED SHRIMP. (Please see photos of all foods mentioned in review.) For our entrees, Robert ordered the BEEF WELLINGTON and thoroughly enjoyed it. I ordered the NEW BEDFORD SEA SCALLOPS with candied bacon and jalapeños, and ya'll, it blew me away. It was so delicious! We both ordered the Creme Brulee for dessert and it was outstanding! Robert and I truly love finding hidden gems, and Cody's Restaurant and Patio is our new fav!!
We had a wonderful experience at Cody's, I had the blue cheese salad wedge and the Beef Wellington. The salad was perfect for a blue cheese lover, and I've always wanted to try the Beef Wellington, which delivered superb flavor and texture. The chocolate cake was very light!
Our first time here on our vacation. Everything is awesome. Atmosphere, food, drinks, service all very good. The beef Wellington is top notch. The old fashioned was STRONG. Very pleasant experience.
My friend and I started a new holiday tradition this year! We went to Cody's for dinner last night. We had a 5:30 reservation and were quickly seated. It was fairly empty when we got there, but got busier as the night went on. Service was impeccable. Food was delicious. We shared a bottle of wine, $10 off during happy hour, burrata and milk bread as an appetizer. So good!!! For our meal, we had the pork chop and flat iron steak and brussel sprouts. The steak was cooked perfectly. The brussel sprouts were delicious!!! For dessert we had the carrot cheesecake. Everything was so good! We would definitely go back!
We had lunch at Cody’s this afternoon and everything was absolutely delicious—from the customer service to the food! We’ll definitely be coming back!
Cody's just blows my mind every time we go. Beef Wellington, Halibut with lime risotto, Casio e Pepe with Shrimp. Japanese Milk Bread with garlic butter. Creme brulee! And an amazing wine/cocktail menu too! Never disappointed. Bring friends, family and business associates. This is one local spot we need to keep in business!
We had our son’s and daughter in law’s rehearsal dinner on the patio over the weekend. The owner, John, was great to work with. The wait staff took amazing care of all of our guests. Every need was met and the food was great! Thank you for taking such great care for our family’s special event.
We were looking for a place to eat that was different from what we could get in our home town of Houston. We found Cody’s due to reviews. This place doesn’t disappoint! The interior is intimate with low lighting. Each table has a real flame candle. Classy. It’s the perfect place for sharing a bottle of wine and having a quiet meal. The walls are lined with murals of famous musicians. Our server was great. She provided input on their best dishes. I wish I remembered her name. 7/3/2024 at 9:05 PM. She has long hair and is very friendly. She did a great job. We started with the wedge salad. It’s large enough to split. The bacon was so good. Very crisp and flavorful. I had the lobster ravioli for my meal. It was delicious! The sauces drizzled on the ravioli tasted like a butternut squash base. You may not think those items would pair well, but it was perfect. The dish looks small, but it was filling. The gentleman had the pork chop. It is a bone-in chop on a bed of mash potatoes. The portion is large. I am not a pork chop person, but I was very impressed. The bacon jam was great, potatoes were creamy, and the chop itself was very tender. I highly recommend both of these. I included a picture of the menu. We only found the lunch menu on Google. You need to do dinner here! Cody’s has been open for 12 years. They will be around for a long time, I’m sure. Very, very pleased with our experience.

I recently visited Cody's Restaurant in San Marcos, TX, for the first time and had an excellent experience. The service was phenomenal, and sitting at the bar, I enjoyed a perfectly cooked burger that truly exceeded my expectations with its finesse. The decor is great, adding to the overall ambiance, and the staff were consistently attentive and friendly. Highly recommended for a quality dining experience.
We just happened upon this fabulous place in San Marcos. We were looking for a quick place to eat before golf. The atmosphere is great, the food is fantastic and the drinks were spectacular! We liked it so much, we went back after golf and tried 4 different appetizers and several different drinks on the menu! It was so much fun!! Great place for couples.
We happened upon this place after running errands and oh my Goodness is it delicious! We had my 7 month old daughter with us and the wait staff went CRAZY for her! The atmosphere is chic and cozy, the libations are well crafted and flavorful. We recommend trying The Kissing Tree and Sean Connery. The Champagne Green Salad with chicken was so yummy! My partner got the B.L.A.T and added a fried egg and that put the sandwich over the top! Dessert, which ended up stealing the show, was a carrot Cheesecake topped with caramel and bacon and it was So scrumptious and not overly sweet! It combined our two favorite cakes into one MEGA tasty treat! If you're near the Outlets and need a bite, cross the Highway and enjoy this amazing spot!
Food was great but I had to check with the waiter on my drinks and sadly he forgot to put them in. Then later he once again forgot to put a side that I ordered in. It feels like a great and classy restaurant with delicious food but those slip ups really ruined the mood.
