Have been going to this place since nce 1997, this outlet has been the bedt of all jack in the boxes, perfectly toasted buns with lots of love added, you can taste it, it was best between 1997 to 2006 , after that some things declined, all i can say out of all the local jack in the boxes ( descanso, sycamore/shadow ridge) they put the most love into what they do, the only other competitors they have are in and out. The only 2 places i will purchase fast food. But jack in the box is my favorote and first choice.

Perfect go to meal when you're on the road and don't have a lot of time dining. I love the two taco deal it's easy for me to eat quickly and get back on the road!

They were so nice here. We dined inside and it was clean and quiet. Bathroom was clean which is rare for fast food so that was impressive. Overall great experience.

Always one of my favorite fast-food places to visit. The staff, no matter what location I visit is always kind and friendly. Food is always freshly prepared. With the greatest of quality one could ask for from a fast-food place.

This Jack in the Box is awesome why? Great Customer Service, food is delicious when and only you order it fresh, easy to order either by drive thru or walk in (with mask on). Any Jumbo Jack lover I recommend when your going to order any burger request it fresh patty you will taste the difference 😉 of a burger. That is my tip to everyone out there. Enjoy....

Staff was wonderful. Food was made correct and in a timely fashion. You know jumbo jack was delicious despite me not wanting fast food. Don't forget tres leches for $1.08. Taste like heaven in a plastic cup.

The Jack In the Box on San Marcos Blvd. is one of the best. The staff here is fantastic, especially in the kitchen. I've never had a disappointing meal here. The Ultimate Cheeseburger is my go to here. I've also enjoyed the Triple Bonus Jack. For something other than a burger, try the Teriyaki Chicken Bowl. It's a seasonal item, but in the fall, if they offering it...try the Pumpkin Pie Shake. Simply awesome!!

This is one of the very few Jack-in-the-Box that you can guarantee most food is fresh. Their tacos here are made correct and are very delicious.

I recently moved from Orange County where most Jack in the Box aren't open 24 hours. Food has always been good & service is great. Usually a very short wait time & back on your way. Love the variety of food options.

Nice that accepted my two day old expired coupons for 2 spicy chicken sandwiches for $10! I also had a large cup of hot coffee. The service was excellent, but did not look like an Abigail, so how can I give credit! It also stated to Rain too! Excellent all over!

Let me be clear, everyone else is really kind also, but I've had the pleasure of working with Marianna more than once and each time she's just very polite. Very courteous. Very kind. Good fast service. I have been ordering through the app lately which makes things fast - food is ready when I get there. Inside the store is basically empty...they don't seem to want you to stay and eat. But at least they don't have computers for you to order on your own - they will still take your order at the counter.

It was 10:50PM and Daniel at drivethru was smart and pleasant. Their nuggets were surprisingly hot but fries were soft.

Regularly have expedient service and the food is well priced. The line is never absurdly long and they have two tacos for a dollar. I mean c'mon. That's just awesome.

I like 3 cheese hamburger's for $ 4.99 . Do you like orange juice $0.30 c more. Hot is good. Warm not is good.

Lunch time! My co-worker had their new macaroni balls in which she just loved and I had the Sourdough Jack and two Sprites. You can't go wrong with either items or the Ultimate Cheese burger great value great food for a quick meal! Enjoy!

Hadn't been in a while and I feel like the quality of the food has come down since I came in last. Size of the bacon burger was smaller and had less sauce. Hope for a better experience next time.

Friendly employee's, my order was taken swiftly, concisely and ready in minutes. The three cheese burger wasn't to my expectation. It was messy, to much meat.

Always great food and clean. Staff brought us our food and that's a plus! Still the best chocolate shakes around but they could use a little more mixing as we could see the vanilla ice cream and the syrup swirl through it. Otherwise a great job and great place to eat

Service was a bit slow. Area is super clean. I came here around 630 AM and when when I stepped in it was super cold as if I was entering the morgue. After 45 minutes it was switched to the heater. Ms. Francis prepared my food, it was warm and delicious , thank you!

This location usually has decent drive-thru-times, and I've never had them mess up my order. That said, the chicken fajita pita is bland and it sucks -- stick to the basics at Jack and the Box I guess. The spicy chicken sandwich is my favorite fast food chicken sandwich. Don't even talk to me about Chick Fil A

It's a jack in the box, common american fast food fare. This location is always clean with fast to reasonable wait times. Kinda struggles with the chicken items on the menu but the burgers, fries and tacos are always good. Has that 2000 combination soda machine so sodas here are always carbonation rich and lite on syrup.

This is the best Jack in the Box in this area near the 78 and the 15. I think they must use fresher oil b/c my favorite food--their tacos--are never greasy here. The service is also always fast and the staff friendly.

I don't stop by this location too often. But when I do it is so clean, convenient and the staff is so nice. They take a complicated order and serve it quickly. They recommend items that are a better value. They know the menu. The food is fresh when it's served. It's not too busy so I get my order quickly. The restrooms are clean as is the dining area and soda fountain. Prices are okay, a bit too much for being fast food honestly. Not the worst place to get a quick lunch.

U have to ask for a freaking straw and or spoon and fork when given ur meal or else they won't put it in the bag . I mean really I gotta ask for a straw if I get a sprite. Well then don't give me a lid then if u ain't giving me a straw so I can drink It

You can bring in your own bottle and/or cup for ice and water fill up. Bathrooms and restaurant are clean. The hours posted for this location states open 24hrs both dining and drive through, but they often close the dining room after a certain hour. I don't have a car and there has been a few times I've showed up and they were closed inside which, to me, is bogus. If you have posted hours you should abide by them.

Jack in the box used to be delicious, but now it seems they cater to the stoner crowd, and that means bad changes in flavor and taste. Fried, fast food but thankfully open late.

Stop last nite. Had to repeat my order four times. Ordered a jr jumbo jack, fries (no salt), soda. Jr jumbo jack, not good , fries had salt on them, soda the mix was soooo wrong ordered a DP. Not a good stop

The manager that is there at night (around 930pm) talks to you like she was giving the food for charity or something. The guy at the register in drive-thru is really nice though. Food is amazing, specially number 10, this is one of the only Jack's where I can order it counting on the fact that it will be fresh

What can I say. Average Jack in the Box just like any other. Had to ask for straws in the drive through. Did end up with 2 tacos that i didn't order in the bag though. Makes me wonder if another customer was missing 2 or if they were throwing them in for the slight wait time.

Went around 1:25 am and ordered on app. Three cars in front ... took 11 minutes to get to speaker ... took another 24 minutes to get food ... left at 2 am. Deals on app are very good ... unlike most other fast food places.

Hadn't eaten at Jack in the Box in a long time. French fries too salty and tough. Spicy chicken sandwich not as good as other places. Counter staff and order taker was very nice courteous and cheerful. Much more variety in fountain drink than my last visit. We had a Raspberry Lemon drink; it was a nice change of pace.

Food is good but double check your bags if you go through the drive thru. They usually forget something. Always expect to get parked to wait for your food even if you are the only car in line.

Disappointing. Adding sauce or spice on a fish is not complicated. Making salads with the right taste is also not so difficult. Happily we selected the Good wine.

Went thru drive thru, my husband and I both got the wrong orders after waiting in the drive thru for 20 minutes. Never been to this Jack in the Box before and never going again.

Chicken salad was a little tired looking when they served it to me. In comparison, the Cosco salad I had last week was better in presentation and costs less than the salad I had from Jack in the Box.

Worst tacos anywhere. I was there last night about 9pm. The place was clean and the girl at the counter was nice. I bought tacos and curly fries. I thought burger king had the worst tacos anywhere, jack's tacos were probably purchased from the same place. Seems these were premade, frozen corn totilla and meat, that was then heated in a microwave. Then a little shreded lettuce added. The shell was saugy and stale. The meat looked like grey pureed dog food. The tast was very bland. The only good part of the taco was the taco hotsauce that came in a packet. The curly fries smelt nice but were a little over cooked and almost cold.

Ordered a large combo with a unsweetened iced tea, instead got a medium with a fuzed tea, everything looked correct when asked at the drive thru kiosk, how do you f that up??!!! Has to be at least the fifth time this same thing has happened at this location, sorry but no more!

I liked going here once a week after a late meeting because I love the tacos. Recently this location starting charging for side sauces, while no other location that I know of does this. So they will give you sauce for free if you order chicken nuggets or chicken strips or whatever, but not with tacos. I like tacos with the ranch (you know what's up.) So I think it's dumb that they are dictating what food constitutes a free sauce. I don't even want extra sauce, I just want one single one with each order of two tacos. Apparently that seems outrageous to ask. I stopped going to this location because of it. Yes, I know this is super trivial and dumb. I know $0.25 isn't a lot to pay for sauce. I get it, I know this. But I don't think it's asking for much. They said it was a decision made by corporate, so why doesn't every location charge for them ? Are the rest of them breaking the rules ? 🤣 anyways

Food is fine, it’s fast food so you get what you expect. Unfortunately, the store lacked in good customer service. They did not give me two burgers for my family’s combos and after calling back we were assured we would get a free combo as compensation. Sure, that’s fine. We ended up going later in the week and when we asked for our free combo we were told the promise could not be honored and to “make sure we checked the order before leaving”. Since I used to work somewhere with a drive thru I know how important the times are and there was also a long line of people behind me. I thought I was being helpful by going through quickly but rest assured I will not make the same mistake here again. The food is up to par with expectations, unfortunately, the customer service is severely lacking. If you decide to eat here, be sure to always check your order!

We have went here 5 times in the past year and every time they get something in our order wrong. Order 4 sandwiches get 3. Ask and pay for bacon, don't get bacon. And for no tomatoes and onions, get onions. The food tastes fine so we end up going back but because we always go through the drive through I don't want to have to literally open up every sandwich to make sure it's correct.

Went through the drive through on a Saturday while doing errands. Got a Ultimate Breakfast Sandwich. There a was nothing Ultimate about it. It was as big as a packet of ketchup and looked like it was thrown together and microwaved. Staff was kind and courteous(2 stars for them) But the Food for the increased price they charge now is Terrible. So if you are looking for a quick bit to eat while driving around doing errands, skip this place. If you do go " You will be highly Disappointed". Update: I recently went back in crunch for time before my commute to work. I gave them one more chance and they failed again. I ordered a breakfast sandwich and it was again terrible. That will me my last time e er to eat a Jack in the Box. The food is not worth the price nor the Disappointed!

They got my order wrong. I noticed when I got home they forgot the cheese on the burger. I called to get a partial refund but they would not do it. Reached out to corporate and provided all the details, but corporate has failed to correct the error. Its been almost a month. Poor customer relations over a few dollars. 11-28 In response to the owner's response. I have reached out multiple times in the past month. I opened a request with guest relations and they never responded.

Ordered a breakfast sandwich and a hash brown. $6.75 left and went to work to find out they gave me 2 hash browns and no sandwich. Make sure you check your orders people.

I waited over 30min to try and get my order and they werent even busy. I ended up leaving and getting my money back. When the manager asked the two guys what happened why they skipped my order they had a dumb fou d look on there face and said I thought he filled it. Come on now really.

The service we got here was disappointing, the manager was giving us attitude and was disrespectful to me and my family. She kept on being rude to us for so long that even the customers behind us left. I'm disappointed in this restaurant and I've had a terrible experience here.

Terrible service. I had to repeat my order 3 times which was already annoying. I asked to put it on 2 different cards and the employee said I was able to so when I was about to say my second order he then said I couldn’t. I go up to the window to get my order. I get my food and the order is wrong, I tell them it is wrong and they tell me that it’s the right order and that they don’t have a label for it on the box. They did have the label. I order the BUCB which is a label on the box. They gave me the UCB, which may not seem that big of a deal but this jack in the box has been a continuous problem and it’s ridiculous. Just listen to your customers.

I won't usually review a fast food place bc there's pretty much no point, but this time I really felt like it... I had to shout my order and repeat myself very slowly 2-3 times because they couldn't understand me and were talking very loudly to each other in the back. Cashier basically threw ny food at me.. "Here. Go." I thought I should check my order and sure enough 3/4 of the orders were wrong. Can't be mean or go back through bc they seem like the kind of people that would spit in your food. The line was super long and the people ahead of me took so long at every window.. but after my encounter I could see why.

They really need to change the 24hr sign to 23. This is my fifth time here when they say there system is down. Always between 0400 and 0500. It would be nice to know before I cross under the freeway and get in the drive thru. Especially when I could have exited westbound 78 straight to McDonalds. Lunch is only 30minutes and 5-8 minutes is precious.

I requested a crispy chicken sandwich and I got a spicy chicken sandwich.I told the cashier they made my sandwich wrong. He told the grill person make a crispy chicken and I got my sandwich but the bread was burnt I also purchased a bacon cheese fries they were cold. I didn't inform the cashier about the cheese fries.

The bathrooms are filthy & malodorous. No paper towels in either bathroom. I wonder how the employees wash & dry their hands properly. I was also charged extra because I preferred a scrambled egg on my Breakfast Jack. I'll never return to your store in San Marcos.

Every tike i order through Uber eats/doordash they always forget to add the sauces even when I call they somehow still forget. It's not that hard to remember to put sauces in the bag if somebody is paying for a meal.

This jack and the box has messed up our order 2 times already and would like to get refunded for the items missing that weren’t in our bag. Only got 8 tacos instead of 10.

I RARELY do this so that tells you something !!There's an older lady that works and she is a manager which makes this worse. But every time I go there and she is working my experience is horrible. She is extremely rude. Everytime I ask for four ranches she tells me I have to pay for $0.25 each. But any other time she's not working. I get for 4/5 without paying. Even by other managers. And tonight she was passive aggressive. And if this is a policy's then all your employees should be doing this and should be posted somewhere. The customer service at this location is trash. The lady taking our order tonight was extremely rude and when we asked about a certain sauce they had she made some snarky remark how they didn’t have it. The best thing about this Jack in the Box is that it’s located right next to a Habit burger place. So after you stand in the never moving line of customer, who are also looking around wondering when they are going to be help, you can cross the parking lot and get actual service and a good hamburger.

Burgers here are very small and lately their 🌮 tacos are not as good as they were before. It seems like their employees don't put too much effort into selling fresh food. My favorite item here were the 2 taquitos for 1.29$ which they were .99 cents before. A thirty cent increment in their price. More expensive and bad quality. I don't know if I am gonna keep been their customer much longer.

I only review if I have a a terrible time, or an excellent time. I ordered via the app for my meal. I got there and looks understaffed. I waited around 5-6 minutes to finally get my pick-up order. Then, the bag I received was ripped up, it still looked OK enough to carry. I got my cup holder for drinks then proceeded to go to my car. It turned it out it was also ripped and my car got spilled with soda. Then, the order turned out to be wrong, I asked for plain burger (no cheese as well) and they got it wrong as well as the fries. The manager made it right and was sweet. I got home and it was also wrong, because I didn't double check, why would I, maybe I should have.

We ordered a sourdough breakfast jack at 9:40am. It sure wasn't anything like the picture on the menu. It tasted like bad grease. The bread was less then what we used to get, sausage, bacon, and cheese was minimal. We threw the sandwich in the trash. They've lost our business. Put the real picture on the marquee.

Worst Jack in the Box ive ever been too. The person in charge was very rude. Asked for my burgers with out cheese and was told i would get charged for it but they would not add it. Spent 40 dollars and the manager gave me a couple sauces. I asked for more and she gave me an ugly face and said she couldnt give me more. Hi, So today I pulled up in the drive through there was two cars in front us and gave us more time too think about what we are going to eat and what's on the menu. The lady says jack box, and what they have to say. Then she proceeds to take my order and I wanted a number 4, and then she says medium or large. We ssy large. And it's silence for a whole 2 mins. And I say hello, and she says apologizes there a customer. She doesn't remember the order I just said, so who she paying attention too. You guys needed more workers. This reflects back on you guys on having staff THAT ARE NOT EQUIPPED to do things by themselves. there was ONLY 2 PEOPLE. One person at the front through the drive through, and one cooking. where's the best service at?also taking 20 mins just for a simple order that's crazy. Do better Jack in Box! So disappointed, I'd rather go burger king, or even In and Out.

Update: A year later and theyre still messing up orders very badly. Check your order before you leave drive thru! Always check your order before leaving! You even have to open up each item! This location is 3 for 3 in messing up an order. In my last visit, they forgot an item and in the two visits prior to that, they gave me items without toppings even though I paid for the toppings. And the heyjackbox website, that will probably be suggested to me, doesn't work. Nobody will get back to you for filling out all the information.

Everytime I come to this particular location, they have me pull up and park. That isn't really an issue for me when a business is really busy but I swear each time, I've been the only one in the drive thru. I've waited up to 20 minutes for my food even when I ordered online and driven to the restaurant a few minutes after I receive a notification that my food is ready. Won't be coming back here.

Geez you would think that they’re doing you a favor even though you’re the patron trying to give them money! I pulled into the drive thru and not a word was said to me so I thought they may have been closed. After saying hello twice, someone said, “can you please just wait I am doing something” I said “sorry just wanted to make sure someone was there” again silence. To add insult to injury it’s apparent she personally knew the car ahead of me and took her time to just talk and make jokes. When I came to the window I was surprised she even asked if I needed sauces. Which was good but when I mentioned my preferences she rolled her eyes and was very insincere about her service. I have come to this location numerous times as it is on the way home and the service is always terrible. Out of the last 4 visits 3 have been terrible and it’s a different person every time! It’s not just the lady tonight, it’s every person who I encounter! Except one. She gave great service I should have got her name but it was before all these bad visits. I didn’t know I got lucky and won the good service lottery! lol Also I work in restaurants too so writing this review is something you don’t do in the industry but this is just bad I hope they take this review and reflect on their operations because it’s just bad at this location. Like no one cares. Which makes me wonder about food quality if they don’t even care about the people paying money so that they can buy that food to serve to us. Sorry but please do better.

We are 78. We went to a "Kool and the Gang" concert Friday night and decided on Midnight tacos... first ones in decades. We went to this Jack in the Box because the one nearest us has gone to Hell. Because of high crime, minimum wage, or business decline, the dining room was closed. We went through the drive through, and parked under the lights by their entrance. The 8 tacos, Seasoned Curly Fries, and one Large Diet Coke were about $17. The tacos were COLD. The Seasoned Curly Fries were spilled into the bottom of the bag. When we lived in Wyoming... we drove 220 miles round trip to Boulder for Jack in the Box Tacos... we KNOW AND LOVE Jack in the Box Tacos. OMG Where has Supervision... and/or pride pride in food and service gone? I guess this is what you get for $20 an hour. What the Hell must they be paying the Manager for accepting this? Update: 9/29/24. We went in yesterday, Sat. afternoon to get tacos again. We left disgusted. I ordered 3 orders (six tacos) of the original tacos. One Seasoned Curly Fry and two Diet cokes. We were charged for and accepted the tacos, plus one extra Seasoned Curly Fries that we paid for and did not want. The tacos were undercooked to the point the cheese had not even melted. There was way too much lettuce, changing the flavor profile to nothing like a Jack in the Box taco. Saturday afternoon, place was empty... no wonder. 200 yards away is an In-N-Out lined up 15 cars deep... no wonder. We love Jack in the Box tacos. Who in their right mind would change the recipe or mess with something so simple. It would be like Costco screwing up the Hot Dog. The outside of the restaurant has beautiful flowers perfectly maintained... so somebody cares about that at least. This visit cuts it. I will not give them another chance. One more feedback item to the owners of this franchise. The sparse open layout of the tables is virtually depressing. The dining room is not inviting at all. The Trash cans were over-running. The multi-choice drink dispenser was broken. In-spite of paying for an order of curly fries that we did not order, or want, the employees were courteous and friendly.

Extremely understaffed at night. I often get my order wrong. Last night a bit after midnight, they closed down the drive thru but kept the lights and signs (including the 24 hour drive thru sign) on. I saw them inside but they refused to answer the phone or the door. I paid already for my mobile order but the franchise owner refuses refunds for this exact situation. Jack in the Box owes me over $20 and 60 or more Jack Pack points that I wasted. These should be corporate locations, franchise means that they purposely understaff, under pay, over charge, and are terrible.

They made the double bacon sandwich wrong. They have a 2 for $6 which the egg has bacon mixed in, and they top it off with bacon slices. I would have driven back but I really shouldnt have to…it’s their job to make it right the first time. This is not the first time they’ve messed up my order. I’ve had several times recently where my order was wrong.
