Lovely efficient staff And always a solid bagel
Alexis and Victor have great customer service👍🏻
The best bagels I've ever had consistently every time I go. Unfortunately, the last time I went they offered everyone in line except me a free bagel, which upset me but the food made up for it. 5/5
I had to pickup 48 bagels for a team event. I tried calling ahead as I was flying into town and could not risk any issues. No answer. However I ordered promptly at 6am thru the app for a 6:50am pickup and they were ready exactly on time! Thanks ladies!
Bagel itself was excellent and coffee was good. Service was friendly but I had to alert them the coffee was empty, which they promptly replaced. No indoor seating, fortunately there is plenty outside but at busier times this could be an issue, a few seats inside would be nice. 4.5 stars but rounded up
Love this place! It's a gem in the downtown of San Mateo. I ordered take out a few times and their bagel is great!
Javier was amazing I definitely recommend! Yummy bagels 10/10
Omg This is a great spot for lunch! The food is really good and the cashier, Angie, is super nice and friendly. Always a pleasant experience!"
I love the pizza bagels here and the service is great.
Love bagels, service is fast, team always nice
Been going there was years. Sometimes you forget to rate your neighborhood eateries. Have eaten here so many times and as always, it was awesome. Love their toasted Jalapeño cheese bagels and Hazelnut coffee. That is my standard order but I’ve ordered pretty much everything in the menu.
Delicious bagels and cream cheese! Our favourites are Asiago cheese and Everything and toasted well with veggies cream cheese. Goes really well with the coffee. Prompt service
Best bagels in whole Bay Area ! Enjoy
This place was bumpin' 9:30am on Sunday. Got an almond milk latte (Noah's has no oat milk) and a power egg white bagel. They finished my order in minutes despite the busyness. Loved the breakfast bagel because it wasn't slathered in some mystery sauce for flavor, they relied on the fresh ingredients instead. So it was both tasty and healthy. Nice selection of purchasable cream cheeses as well. I'll be back :)
I’ve been living in San Mateo for a while now, and it was only on the last weekend that I got a chance to visit Noah’s NY Bagels. We ordered a couple of Cheese Jalapeño bagels with salsa, and the bagels tasted amazing! It almost wanted me to go back and get like 20,30 more of them. Needless to say, I’ll be back here soon. :) The service is quite fast too and they take social distancing precautions.

Come here very often and love coming here. Always get the best service and everyone is super friendly. Will continue to come back
Good bagels but I fail to understand why they don’t have a list of schmears on the menu, everyone has to ask and it slows the line down. Having the to-go schmear containers on the other side of the register where nobody can see it doesn’t help. Such a simple thing, I can’t understand the logic, or lack thereof, of the management on this.
Great and friendly service, especially Angie who works the counter week after week. I’m tech challenged and she took the time to walk me through how to use the Noah’s Bagels App to order bagels in the future since all the chocolate chip bagels were always sold out every time I got there. What great service. Thank you, Angie for taking the time to help me during a busy time in your shop. I appreciate you, I really do. 🙏👏!💯
Angie is one of the friendliest people I’ve met- Always has a great attitude and a smile on her face! Even when busy and the line is out the door, she and the other staff are efficient, friendly and send us on our way with a smile!!

Fresh and good as usual. Staffs are feiendly. Just the boss of this location is interesting. The cashier is trying to explain to the boss what I am asking and why. The boss keep telling the cashier to take orders and not listen to what she has to say & not letting me talk to him as well.
Came in for some quick breakfast bites. I ordered Farmhouse. It said thick cut bacon, yeah, no, that is no way thick. But, the bagels tasted good so I didn’t mind much. Quick service. No comment on the staff because not much of an interaction.

Best bagel one can have if they get the order right. It's my breakfast every weekend. Usual misses are the toast level and wrong flavor of schmear. Always check your pickup order before leaving the place. Owner is a rude guy so I always hope that I don't have to interact with him. Highly recommended.
Great bagels, great spreads, the server's attitude really makes you feel like you've traveled to New York! But the price brings you back to reality that you're in California. 10/10 recommend for food, 12/10 recommend order online if you want to feel like you're still living in California.
I really love Noah's Bagels, that said, my experience this last visit was really bad. It was a simple order, one bagel lightly toasted with a schmear and the other toasted with a schmear. Neither bagel was toasted at all. Since this was a take away /to go order I didn't open the bag to check. That was my mistake. I also passed on taking the 30 minutes it would have taken to go back and have them replaced. Lesson learned. For a good bagel they are hard to beat...just check your order.🤗
The entire place needs to be power washed. Order accuracy also needs work - twice in maybe 6 visits they have rung me up correctly but not gotten the right food in the bag. Bagels are OK. Sometimes burned like pizza crust but personally I like that.
There was a long line in front and behind me, but I got my order within a minute or two. The bagel itself was mediocre at best. I got it toasted, but the bagel was just slightly warm. It was very flat and had an odd consistency. Bad representation of a “New York style bagel”.
In New York they cook the eggs and bacon fresh On a flat top grill they're not premade or reheated unless you go somewhere like McDonalds or 7-11.found a hair in my bagel.this is also the first place i've been to that sells coffee but doesn't offer whole milk.
🥯 The Bagels: I visited Noah's Bagels for a quick bite, and the bagel I ordered was perfectly fine. It was a standard bagel – toasted as requested, and the cream cheese was applied generously. It wasn't anything groundbreaking, but it satisfied the craving. ☕ Coffee: The coffee was also what you'd expect from a casual bagel spot. It was hot and served its purpose, but didn't have any distinguishing features. 🛎️ Service: The service was efficient and straightforward. My order was taken accurately, and the staff processed it without any issues or significant delays. It was an adequate, no-frills interaction. 📍 Location & Ambiance: This location in San Mateo is typical for a Noah's Bagels. It's a casual and functional space, good for grabbing a quick meal. It's not a place you'd necessarily linger for the atmosphere, but it serves its purpose for a convenient bite. 🤔 Overall: Noah's Bagels in San Mateo delivers a perfectly acceptable, standard bagel experience. There's nothing particularly exciting or disappointing about it. It's a reliable option if you're in the mood for a quick bagel and coffee, and I wouldn't hesitate to go back if I'm in the area and need something easy. It's a solid 3-star spot.
Not sure what happened to Noah’s Bagels - the menu is a lot smaller than what I remembered and the portions are ridiculously small. The service was nice and quick but the food is just embarrassing. I ordered the farmhouse that had the thinnest slices of bacon, thinnest ham, and smallest egg I have ever seen. It’s quite comical when you think about it! Probably start making my own bagel sandwiches at this point.
I was excited to see that there’s a real Noah’s Bagels here in San Mateo. However, after eating there I don’t feel particularly enthusiastic. First of all, there’s no bathroom so careful how much coffee you drink. I had to go next door to Jamba Juice and awkwardly ask for their bathroom key. But don’t worry, you don’t want too drink much coffee anyway. Why? Because it’s straight up cold. How long was the coffee sitting there in an insulated dispenser to go completely cold? Yikes. Last problem is no indoor seating. It’s like they haven’t bothered to set things back up since the pandemic shutdown. It’s winter and I don’t want to sit outside on the noisy street drinking cold coffee. Other than that, the bagels are good, OJ is good, and the people who worked there were nice.
Plenty choice of bagels, but low of people. Crowded and loud place. I ordered an iced latte but got a coffee shake. Make sure to check again with them. There’s no indoor sitting area
The food is generally decent (though the bagels are far from NY-quality). And they can be a bit hit or miss. Got a jalepeno-cheddar and it was missing all but one jalepeno. You can see where they once were, no longer.

I love this place but they literally never get my order right
Got the chorizo breakfast sandwich with hash brown. Hash brown was cold inside. Sandwich was decent but lacked flavor and probably not worth the price. Service slow but staff was nice.
Terrible service, made us wait 45min for a bagel and didn’t have what we ordered. The food is ok but not worth the terrible service
Very disappointed this morning with my order of 2 Farmhouse breakfast sandwiches and 1 Nova Lox sandwich. I have been going to this Noah's for years now and this is the first time I was unable to finish eating this mess. The eggs were paper thin, discolored (mottled grayish) and rubbery (as in overcooked). The ham is grocery store luncheon meat and the bacon was almost non-existent (definitely not the thick hickory smoked pieces from before). The bagels were mashed together and mushy inside so you couldn't tell if the bagel was even toasted. I suspect these sandwiches were pre-made and put in refrigeration because none of them were even warm or toasty. The quality and size has gone down with the bagels, the price has gone up and what used to be great bagels are no better than store bought nowadays.
What can I say about this place! First off they have some of the best bagels as far as their food is concerned, it's five stars all around. Now I've gone here about 3 times in the past three weeks. Let me tell you the staff needs a lot of work. They screwed up my order each time. They need to be retrained. Im certain I'm not the only person that experienced this. I love this place.... But the something has to give.
I used to love this location but recently it has taken a turn for the worse. My bagel came burnt and looked malnourished, why are my bagels skinner than me?! The service felt very pushy, I hope they reform and bring back the Noah’s we love.
Ordered Avocado toast from the menu and look at what they give me. Just cut avocado slices placed on top which felt very raw. Worst avocado toast ever.
This is a difficult review to write. The bagels are good. The staff is friendly and fast. This shop is the only thing open at 5:30am when I am looking for a bagel. Those are pluses. But my order keeps being wrong. I ordered two bagel sandwiches last week and both were missing the meat that goes in them. This is twice in less than two months. The staff might be overwhelmed? Poorly paid? Certainly too busy to answer the phone when I called. Those are negatives. The corporate folks have replied to my complaints on their website and offered to refund my money if I jumped threw their hoops to join their rewards program to get a refund. That's both too odd and too much trouble. I didn't keep my receipt or open up my sandwiches before I left the shop so I guess it is my fault for expecting accuracy. That's a draw So…how many more chances do I give a business that has gotten two out of three recent orders wrong? I think I know my answer.

I ordered New York Pastrami bagel. Should have some pickle and mustard. But there wasn’t any pickle in my bagel. When I asked the staff about pickle they told me they are out of pickle. And asked them why didn’t you tell me this before I ordered my bagel the answer was “ I just found out”. I didn’t receive any apology or compensation I won’t visit this place again.
So disappointed. My bagels was chewy. I asked for toasted bagels but it was chewy. The bagels looked like it was toasted & warm but it was chewy. So, I think it was previously toasted maybe left overs from a day before (I was there @7:40am) & they prob just microwaved it. My tooth was hurting from chewing so I didn’t even finish. I just tossed it away. I love Noah’ bagels so I’m very disappointed.
They gave bacon inside a garden avocado vegetarian sandwich in

I waited 15 full minutes for a single bagel. During that time, multiple customers came and went, including the person right before me who ordered six bagels, received them immediately, and walked out. No one ever called my name or gave any indication my order was ready. When I finally asked where my bagel was, they just handed it to me — completely ice cold, clearly sitting there for a while. For a quick, simple order like one bagel, this level of delay and total lack of communication is unacceptable. It felt like the staff either forgot about the order entirely or didn’t care enough to let me know it was sitting there getting cold. I won’t be returning. 1 *
I did a large order online a day ahead because I needed to pick up a lot of food/coffee in an efficient way. My order was 30 min late, and none of the coffee boxes were labelled (I ordered 2 different flavors). They also forgot part of the order and had to be reminded which further delayed things. The order was put out on a shelf, and I had to ask for bags because it would have been impossible to carry so many items otherwise. The staff was clearly stressed which made for an uncomfortable experience as I felt like I was bothering them when asking for the missed part of the order, bags, etc. What is the point of ordering ahead if your order isn't even close to ready at the designated pickup time? I cannot believe how terrible this experience was, and it's unlikely that I would ever do this again.
The manager almost committed wage theft in front of their employees and me 😬 My wife and I went in for 2 bagel sandwiches, and the cashier accidentally added an extra chocolate bagel to the order. Before I caught it, I swiped my card. Right after, my wife noticed the mistake and we asked for the transaction to be cancelled/changed. The cashier grabbed the manager, who took a look at the receipt AND THEN STARTED GRABBING CASH OUT OF THE TIP JAR to pay me back for the bagel. We quickly said no thanks, we’ll just take the bagel. Taking money out of tip jars to correct a transaction mistake is not legal in the state of CA. I doubt the manager meant any harm, but I worry that if they’re willing to just grab tip money there may be other shenanigans going on at the business. I’m sure everyone is minimum wage, so tips are important. I hope the employees are ok, this is on the owners to correct.
