We were given a discount coupon from our hotel concierges across the street so we stopped by for a quick breakfast on our way to Hearst Castle. It was delicious. Large portions so the hubs and I shared the pancakes 🥞 and bacon 🥓 and 🍳. The waitress we had was very friendly and willing to expedite our order so we didn’t miss our reservations. Went there for breakfast very early in the morning while visiting Big Sur Area. The restaurant was almost empty at that time. The server welcomed us nicely and sat us. We ordered Spinach & Mushroom Scramble with toast, Pancake with sunny side up eggs. The foos was great but it took a long time to come out the kitchen. That is the only complaint.

Great portions of food. Tasty breakfast n good coffee. The waitress was pleasant and we got our order fairly quickly, being that there was only 1 cook visible. I was pleased with the overall experience

We had dinner in the Big Sur Restaurant in June, 2023 while staying overnight. I liked this little restaurant, even though it wasn't the fanciest. We had a nice server who was nice and seemed to do a decent job. Well except one thing. I'll get to that in a second. She took our order promptly. Our food came out fairly quick. There were other tables, but they were not crowded at the time. The food was pretty good. The portions were large enough that neither of us finished our dinners. And the prices were arguably, not too bad. They were not cheap. But they also were not overly expensive either. I guess I would say somewhat fair in this day and age. Now the one thing. What is it about this area that no matter where we sit down to eat, they get the order wrong. Is this a normal California thing? I ordered a steak rare. She even read it back to us as raw. But when the steak came, it wasn't remotely rare. As such, a good dose of A1 sauce made it a little better. But not all that great. I put on a smile and ate my dinner when she asked. I will not say anything. If in a rare situation, I do. Well then that won't be until after we are done eating. So she probably never knew. The part that aggravated me, was the check came with it reading, well done instead of the rare or raw she read back to us. This was the only blemish worth mentioning. Other than that, it was a decent dinner. It would have been better had my steak been rare, the way I like it and always order it. But I ate the well done steak anyway. But mistakes like that should not happen. Why read it back if your going to still put in the order wrong?

They serve large portions. Had their spaghetti, fish n chips, and penne pasta. The penne pasta was a bit bland. So wouldn't recommend that, but the spaghetti and fish were good. The place was completely empty at dinner time. Made us a bit nervous about eating there. I hope they usually have more business there. Maybe it's because it was mid week or off season.

This restaurant has a fairly large menu and has a little of something for everyone, from seafood, to meat, to pasta and more. We started with an appetizer plate of Fried Calamari. The calamari was not the usual tubes and tentacles, but were strips. They were lightly breaded and tender and came with cocktail and tartar sauces. I ordered the Shrimp and Chips and my wife ordered the Chicken Mushroom Fettucine. Both were food, nothing fancy, but decent portions. Service was extremely fast. Good, basic food.

I honestly can't share the negative experience other users had - we were quite satisfied with our meal. It was way better than expected & definitely better than other restaurants we've been to before. Also, the service was very nice, so we can't complain about that either. We went there twice (once for dinner, once for breakfast) since our motel did not provide either. Both times the food was nice. We fully recommend the place!

We arrived 30 minutes befored they closed but we couldn't order to eat there just to go and we order some burguers but the meat didn't have any flavor so if you want something just to full your belly is good but dont expect much

While staying in the hotel their not too much option to eat for dinner unless you wants to drive in dark for 20 minutes so we end up eating here some of the mixed reviews we seen but we still decided to eat. Dinner menu prices are kind of expensive. But the meal is big enough. Staff aren’t welcoming the guests. Service charges was 15% added automatically but don’t see mention anywhere but that’s make sense because most of their customers are Indian while we were there. I also work in the restaurant industry for last 9 years and very few Indians give tip. I was assuming that’s why they added the tip with every check even though you are party of 2. I seen customers are mentioned in other reviews as well. One of the middle table that we sit was keep wobbly

We stopped there as there were not much breakfast choices around. I feel it was somewhat overpriced for the quality of food. It was a below average diner. The menue was vast though. I had the eggs benedict which were not well prepared. The hash browns were dry and pale. The staff was friendly though and even refilled our water bottles.

We were staying in Cavalier Oceanfront Resort and wanted to try a different Restaurant. This was across the street. The Restaurant had outdoor dining but it was chilly so we ate inside. It is a casual and more like a diner; however, the menu items were on the expensive side. My husband ordered bbq tri-tip and disappointed with the quality of meat & preparation. It was more like roast beef and he was expecting bbq. My seafood pasta lacked taste. We were disappointed with our dinner. On the positive note, I enjoyed my Hearst Ranch red wine, clam chowder, and the server was nice.

Thursday evening dinner. Food was good. Service was fast. Waiter friendly. The booth seats are in need of repair. The bill had tax included. The bill also has the tip added. It was just Under 20%. Look at your bill at this place. I’m not able to paste the picture of the bill . Beware.
