Phenomenal dining experience at this restaurant. This was the first Indian restaurant I've eaten at and the food has won me over completely. I brought my family here for dinner and the staff was so helpful and friendly. They made the experience so wonderful. The atmosphere here is a lot more intimate but I love that feeling. The food was nothing that I could imagine. It's so rich, but not overpowering. Absolutely must try restaurant in OC.

I have been blessed to have travelled to 35 different countries, including India. I have lived in the Middle East and have never enjoyed an Indian restaurant as much as I enjoy Royal Khyber. It is the typicity, to borrow a wine word, of Indian cuisine - just a culinary delight. Service is sublime, ambiance perfect, and the food is so well prepared - I cannot say enough. Everyone should experience Royal Khyber in their lifetimes. It is the benchmark in Indian cuisine!

IMO this is one of the best Indian food in US. Really authentic food and tastes awesome. For opportunity to try multiple dishes I suggest weekend buffet. Visited again and they continue to maintain the taste and service and reputation. Awesome!

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Royal Khyber Restaurant while in Los Angeles for my weekend classes at Westcliff University. It was an incredible experience, and I’m so glad I found it! The buffet, priced at $32 per person, was absolutely worth it. The appetizers, including the crispy Pakora and flavorful Chole Chaat, were a perfect start to the meal. The main dishes were just as delicious, with a wide variety of authentic Indian flavors. The service was outstanding—attentive, friendly, and efficient. The ambiance of the restaurant was cool, clean, and inviting, creating a comfortable and enjoyable dining experience. As someone who regularly travels to LA from Bakersfield for my classes, finding a restaurant with such tasty food was a treat. I’m definitely looking forward to returning the next time I’m in town. Huge thanks to the chefs for preparing such amazing dishes and to the service team for making the experience so enjoyable!

Absolutely loved this place! The 14-hour braised lamb shank was rich and tender, the prawn curry packed a perfect punch, and the basil coconut chicken was full of flavor. Stellar service and a cozy, comfortable vibe made it a great dining experience.

My wife and I have been to a couple of different restaurants each in a different area and although every dish at every restaurant has its own unique flavor and charm, there is not one dish at Royal Khyber that is not an absolute banger. We received the pampadam and the two accompanying chutneys our first time dining and we immediately fell in love. Next we got the butter chicken and the paneer tikka masala with the basmati rice and garlic naan. we had leftovers for days and they last us so many meals. Not only is it effective for us it is also amazing to be able to make one meal stretch for so many days for us. We took my mom recently as well who has never had indian food and struggles with any big flavors and she fell in love with the food. Raj takes such good care of us every time and we are always wanting to go back and experience the warm inviting atmosphere as soon as we run out of tikka masala. Royal Khyber is the best!

I came with my family to take out food. The service was great, very friendly staff. The food was really good too, I recommend the chicken tikka masala.

The menu included DIY chaat (pani puri and papdi), fish Manchurian, chicken tikka, daal, basmati rice, paneer sabzi, cauliflower/broccoli appetizer with pakoras, and rice Kheer for dessert. I must say that while the choices were limited, the food was of high quality and flavorful. The kheer, chaat, and fish Manchurian were my top picks, and I couldn’t resist going for seconds. They also provided fresh naan (garlic and butter) as needed. Overall, it was a great experience, and I highly recommend this place for lunch.

The manager was nice and took off the chicken dish from the bill. I had tried other dishes here and they were great.

This was a mistake. This food was 90% oil and 10% actual ingredients of food. Edit: I tried to eat it since I paid $30 for 1 dish, plain rice ($7), and 1 naan, but it's literally just oil. It's literally making me nauseous because I'm eating heated oil with some potatoes thrown in.
