Derek, the owner, was incredibly kind and attentive. When I mentioned having an upset stomach and wanting something light, he immediately recommended the chicken pho and even offered to make me ginger water. The service, food, and people here are exceptional. I’ll definitely be returning!

Honestly best bahn mi in Santa Rosa. I rotate between the Golden Bun which is there best seller and the Tofu bahn mi which is honestly so good. Customer service is top notch too!

The Golden Bun is great! It was my first time going to the Golden Bun and I will be returning! I got 2 BBQ pork banh mi and a Thai tea. The Thai tea was delicious, you can actually taste the tea and the sugar level was perfect. It was really hard not to drink all at once. The banh mi was great as well! The bread was good, the meat was great, and it felt very authentic. I'll be back for sure!

Big banh mi fans. We stopped by on our way from Guerneville to SF. This is one of the better banh mi we’ve had. The bread was soft and the veggies were tasty. I got the pork and it the meat was also good!

Bahn Mi sandwiches were absolutely delicious. Perfect balance of meat and veg. Bread was toasted to perfection. Thai iced tea was just like I like it - not too sweet. Service was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. I highly recommend it!

My husband and I ordered the Tofu Banh Mi, which was flavorful and delicious. We spent less than $20 for the two sandwiches for lunch. The couple working was incredibly friendly and helpful, and I was happily greeted when I walked in to pick up the sandwiches. We'll be coming back for more!

An awesome little location with a respectable variety at an affordable price. All the ingredients are savory and flavorful. So far my friends and I have enjoyed everything we have tried here. Open 7 days a week too!

Came across this place at random after the CRP class. One of the best sandwiches I’ve had. I’m Vietnamese and had plenty of sandwiches in Vietnam and throughout California. The bread had the perfect toast and airy-ness, pate was spot on and like the original sandwich, they added Vietnamese soy sauce! Price was mid range for a sandwich but considering the location, inflation, and quality, we wish we bought extra sandwiches. It does take time to make a fresh quality sandwich so expect a little wait. Good things come to those that wait. :)

Best tofu banh mi in Santa Rosa with pillowy-soft bread, crispy and spongy tofu, and flavorful spread. My partner says his pork paté banh mi and Vietnamese iced coffee were excellent too. The fresh fruit strawberry smoothie with boba was refreshing. Very friendly staff and cozy ambience.

I love this place! Very cute and quiet, convenient location, super reliable! Their Golden Bun Combo is the best, but their simple beef pho is always a reliable choice too, although not the main attraction. The boba tea is consistently tasty and the staff are lovely

#6 grilled chicken was awesome. This Bahn Mi is WAY better than local restaurant's versions. Warm, flaky bread stuffed with perfectly seasoned chicken and veggies... I could eat this all day! Wish I'd found it sooner. Clean place, A+ food, quick service, inexpensive and delicious.

Just finished my Golden Bun #1.... Best one yet! I've been here many times over the years and never been disappointed but today's sandwich was absolutely perfect... Just right condiments, soft and crunchy roll, meat and veg inside at perfect proportions... Delicious.

Took a friend, she said it was the best bahn mi she's ever had. My sandwich was great too, crispy bread, tender and tasty pork, fresh crunchy veggies. Will be back for sure.

The beef tri-tip was so moist so if you’ve ever had a dry version of the sandwich, you need to try theirs! San Jose people who know Duc Huong, you need to come up to Santa Rosa to try this! My favorite sandwich shop in Santa Rosa. Usually get the tofu Banh Mi once a week or so, sometimes thai ice tea and veggie spring rolls. Derek is great and they may be exanding their menu. Wishing Golden Bun nothing but great success!

TRY THE PHO. The pho here reminds me of when my mother use to make it. The broth is prepared the night before actually serving it which brings out more of the natural delicious flavor which you WILL NOT experience at other pho locations around. (All love and respect to all pho restaurants nearby ❤️) The place looks a little run down but DO NOT let that discourage you. The food quality here is 👌 and worth a first try. This will be our forever go to spot for Pho moving forward. 🌟

i walked in and immediately knew i was going to have a great meal. i ordered the golden bun banh mi and my mom ordered the grilled chicken banh mi. one fricking word, delicious. wow. and my thai iced tea was delicious as well. would definitely come here again. man that was serving us was very kind as well! thank you for the great meal

They pointed out favorites and we ordered what sounded good. I ate more than I needed because it was so flavorful and affordable. Everyone should discover this little gem!

30 minute wait for two banh mis, no one else in line, only two other people in store. No one was even making it when we were waiting then we saw an employee come in and then started making it. Good banh mis but the wait is always long even when you order ahead.

Tried the pho and the golden noodles soups and was very pleased with the taste and quality of the food as well as the very pleasant staff (Husband and wife??). The restaurant is a bit basic inside which is the only reason I give it 4 rather than 5 stars. Highly recommend for lunch.

Slightly pricey with smaller portions, but unmistakably good food. Their staple banh mi is great, their com sung is solid, and their teas are delicious, but it's hard to justify the prices for the quantity you get. Service is decently quick, with two very friendly and charming owners. However, the restaurant can get very hot in the summer without air conditioning. Overall a lovely family owned place, albeit slightly expensive.

Meat was poorly wrapped and blood all over my food. It should be in a ziploc bag. Not enough meat either. Soup is not enough for the dish or price paid. I will Never come here again.

I ordered the beef pho and the meat was overcooked. There wasn't much meat. For a total of $18 this feels way overpriced. Service was bad too. It was unfriendly and they didn't make an effort to be friendly.

The broth and noodles both tasted off. The noodles were cut unusually short, almost like they’d been chopped into toddler-sized pieces, which made the texture feel off. There were also hard chunks of garlic throughout the broth that you couldn’t avoid. On top of that, the usual garnishes — lime, bean sprouts, and mint — weren’t served with it, which really took away from the overall experience. We’ve had pho at plenty of spots nearby, and this dish didn’t come close to the standard. We left more than 75% of our food behind because we just couldn’t enjoy it and went to a spot we really enjoy (shoutout to Mai Vietnamese Cuisine). The only positive was the staff — they were very polite and welcoming, which we did appreciate. Overall, I really wanted to like this place, but the food just wasn’t all that.
