We've tried over 20 different bubble tea places in San Jose and I have to honestly say that these ones are soooo good! Don't miss the "love you so matcha" and the "milk tea with soybean cheese foam". Just insanely good

First off, TaoTao is now my official favorite boba place in the area. I usually go right across the street to get Happy Lemon. However, I wanted to try something new and been seeing TaoTao on my way to the other boba shop. My first initial reaction upon sipping my drink was pure happiness. If you could put happiness on a cup and drizzle it with love, that’s how I exactly feel about the drink I ordered. Creme brûlée truly tickled my palate as I love its subtle sweetness when done right. That’s what this place did! You can taste the freshness and authenticity of the ingredients they use to make their drinks. And let’s talk about tea. They use legit tea and not those cheap ones you can buy from other boba shops. I have tried their Cloudy Jasmine as well that’s why I can tell the tea quality is legit. I have tried so many boba shops and I can tell you, this one is worth the shot! Maybe it’ll become your favorite, too! And oh, the tapioca balls! They are cooked to perfection; soft and lightly chewy. Thank you, TaoTao! I’ll see you guys next time.

First time visiting this place and it was very cute and petite. The vibe was also very chill, the music was nice and mellow. The customer service was also wonderful, they answered and helped me with any questions I had about the drinks. I love the vibe and the drinks looked so good when they arrived. I got a I Belong To You which is taro, mochi, boba, and milk tea. I don't like sweet a lot so I ordered the 25% and they stuck to the less sweet! I rarely find this at other shops and it was really rich in flavor, the other drink I got was the newest seasonal drink; Cherry Blossom. It tasted exactly like Cherry! They also had a Chinese dessert; Bing Fen, in it, it reminded me exactly of China. I love eating this dessert, however, I rarely find it here in California. There was also Chestnut Popping Boba in it, which is something I haven't tried before. It was interesting but different. Definitely coming here again!

The drinks are outstanding, I typically use 0% sweetener and the drinks are so fresh, flavorful, and delicious (and not dependent on sweetener!) They have many seasonal drinks that sometimes are out of stock but shows that they only keep fresh ingredients around! I love their range of options and cute cups and decorations.

Ordered the Super Grapefruit for my first visit. Usually this isn't my drink and I would order a peach tea or plain jasmine/green but the screen said they were sold out. Typically grapefruit is too bitter for my palate but I really enjoyed this one and would order it again, but possibly with a little less added sugar. Will definitely be back again. I think they may also have a reward program because one of the employees handed some cards to other customers when they picked up their order. I didn't get one, guessing those were the last ones they had today.

Cute store with some fun snacks and a claw machine. I took my nieces to try a new boba spot and we all agreed this place is great! I got the crème brûlée milk tea which was quite the treat and well worth it. There was a burnt sugar syrup that has chunks of burnt sugar — I was scraping every last bit out of the cup it was so good. Very convenient to all the shopping centers around but a little hidden—but definitely worth a visit! Lots of good options.

Highly recommend persimmon paradise and other fruit blends. The staff were very friendly here. They are family oriented and it shows. They recommended the persimmon paradise because of their seasonal persimmons, which were fresh from their garden. The blend was smooth and creamy. It was not too sweet and had natural flavor. I would definitely come back to try other fresh fruit teas or smoothies. It was a delight coming here. I’ll try their spicy noodles next time as well. This is nearby Hakone so it’s worth a visit before going to the garden.

Cute and fully featured boba spot around the corner from See’s Candies. They’ve got ALL the toppings and ALL the flavors. Got the Beauty & Beast (passion fruit kumquat green tea) at 25% sweet less ice. So glad to have a top quality spot closer to San Jose!

A new Boba tea in Saratoga area! boba tea is always my passion and this place definitely will be one of my favorites! I like the decoration.The interior is clean and bright. Very open and inviting. So there isn't much seating, only set at a few tables interno and outside but good enough for small hangouts. Nice place and clean,service is great and drinks always come out pretty quickly. I haven't tried all of the drinks on the menu, but the ones I have had have come out consistently tasting good and delicious.... The pearls were a good consistency and the cheese cream paired well with the drink. The price is a bit on the lower side, I will definitely come back again to see how things are, as it is currently their soft opening.

Cloudy watermelon 0% sugar regular ice is refreshing! They have hungry panda and snack pass ordering.

"What A'Passion" was very surprising to me. The watermelon is nice and refreshing. I might come back just for this flavor, since it's not something I've had anywhere else. We also tried the "Cloudy Strawberry," which tastes like strawberry ice cream. The cups here are very sturdy, a thicker plastic, which is nice if you want to reuse them. The plastic cup seals seem almost wax-papery which made me wonder what it's made of.

The reviews for this place seem very positive and the few negative ones are confused about the positivity. I think that the positive reviews are deserved however. The boba has been consistently good in the several times we’ve visited and now is our favorite place. They give lots of boba and the tea tastes good. The price point might be a bit high but in my opinion no higher than the average boba joint.

We got a tiger boba milk tea and crème brûlée milk tea. Both drinks were awesome and well priced for the quality of the drink. We will come again.

I really enjoyed the tea here, especially for the fact that you can add the cheese foam top so I got the royalty with the cheese foam top and I like to have business meetings here. It’s very well equipped with Wi-Fi and chairs and stuff so you can go here and do all kinds of meetings.

Taotaotea located right next to the o reilly is a small boba shop in saratoga. Owned by taiwanese aunties who seem to enjoy cutesy aesthetics and very homey and loving vibes. They have a lot of deals especially for the prospect high schoolers across the street Overall some of their tea and boba is very unique but the tea wasn’t as strong for some. I really enjoyed their fruit teas as it had a lot of flavor to it. Boba was also solid when fresh Would come again if i need a quick boba fix in saratoga

It was my first time here, but I ordered two drinks and brought them home to drink. It was pretty and delicious. $35 per bag containing 40 beef and pork and seafood dumplings. They say they make their own and sell it, so I'll have to eat all the dumplings at home and go buy them next time.

I saw this place often while on my way to my part-time job in the past and decided to go today. I got the Tiger Boba Milk Tea and it was really really goodーthe tapioca pearls are soo soft and chewy, and the tea itself has a lot of flavor and tastes really good too! It was really refreshing for a summer afternoon. Their other drinks seemed so cute and good, so I had a hard time choosing. But I really enjoyed the drink I ordered and would like to come back again🧋In addition the staff were so nice and welcomed me in very kindly and recommended me what drinks to try! The cashier who helped me was very kind to me as well. Overall the drinks are of very good quality and at reasonable prices, and the service is very nice and the shop is so cute; I recommend this place!!! I think I might only want to come to Taotao Tea from now on, I really liked the atmosphere and drinks of this place😌Thank you for the boba!!! First time trying this boba place. It was hard to make a choice between the speciality milk teas and the fruit teas, because both options seemed very appealing. After debating in my head for a minute I ended up choosing the Oreo brûlée milk tea with boba. To my surprise, the tea was rich and smooth, the boba is perfectly “al dente” (or chewy😌), and the Oreo was still crunchy! It was more than a drink, it was a perfect dessert for a weekday afternoon 🥰! Love the warm and personal service too, both servers are nice and have great smiles. They made me feel welcomed. I think I will definitely try their fruit tea next time though, since I saw all the fresh fruit in their kitchen and I figured that they probably use fresh ingredients in their fruit teas as well. Anyway, it was a pleasant experience. I will definitely be back.

Love love love this place! All the ingredients were fresh, we could see the owners making the drinks in the back with so much care. Boba tasted fresh and chewy. All the flavors we tried were fantastic.

A very cozy atmosphere and friendly staff. I had a Crème Brûlée Boba Milk tea earlier from a different place and was looking to get something similar to that near Westgate center, so decided to go to TaoTaoTea. Crème brûlée boba milk tea was really delicious! So it was worth the trip.

I love this boba shop! They have the cutest names for their drinks and they taste so good!! Their ordering system is amazing too for if you would like no “face to face” ordering! I also love that there is seating outside if you’d like to enjoy your drink in the fresh air :)) we also get greeted every time we go so nicely! They also have an amazing points system, you get a little card with a bear on it and you collect stamps for each drink you get to eventually get a free drink! 🥰My friends and I have absolutely fallen in love with with the shop I recommend!

This is not your typical mom and pop bubble tea place because it's operated by a dynamic brother and sister duo. After commenting on how unique and special some of their drinks are, the brother barista told me he has traveled the world and tasted many different kinds of bbt to come to create his own art. Most of the drinks on the menu are handcrafted powder-free drinks. Two of my favorite drinks are the Rose Blossom and Sexy Pink Lychee. When asked for less ice for my drink, he told me some drinks tastes better with a bit more ice. The level of attention and care he puts into his crafted drinks are serious. They are SERIOUSLY delicious! The bbt shop also offers light snacks for sale. You can download an App called Snackpass to preorder drinks. The initial order will trigger a promotion for $5 discount for future use. Overall, it's definitely a cute bbt shop tucked away from the main traffic road.

Everything is so fresh! You can see the fresh fruits they cut up and put in! It really makes a big difference! 3. The soybean cheese foam is amazing! Apparently it's a soy based cheese foam which I have not seen anywhere before. I never liked cheese foam in general. Many people raved about Happy Lemon's salted cheese foam but I didn't really like it. This place changed my mind. 4. They have a good selection of both fruit and milk teas. 5. If you're in the area, try it out! It's my new favorite place so I've come back a handful of times and the quality has remained exceptionally high!

Taotaotea is one of my favorite boba stores in the Bay. My usual go to is the sexy pink lychee but this time I got their seasonal chestnut drink. The hot gardenia chestnut milk tea is great for the winter. There’s a slight floral flavor hint and the milk tea isn’t too sweet.

Be careful with buying with cash at the front register other than their weekly cash drink. I was charged 7.50 for the persimmon slush drink (no size upgrades or anything) but the drink is 6.95. While the digital kiosk may charge a little higher, you’re better off paying there (and also there’s a 2-5pm weekday discount, which does not apply at the register). They also do not give you a receipt. The drinks there are good. I’m just bummed that the one time I pay for a drink without card I get overcharged.

I ordered fruit tea called Super Grapefruit. For some reason it was an ice blended drink. Nothing like the photo or mentioning it was an ice blended tea. I didn’t have time ask about it but clearly on the drink label and what I selected was their Super Grapefruit fruit tea less ice but I got a whole lotta ice!

FOOD POISONING ALERT. I got a large watermelon slush with sago and tea jelly, drank about half of it, and 30 minutes later I started having symptoms of food poisoning - intense stomach pain, nausea, cold sweat, then followed by prolonged diarrhea. The after effect aside, the drink itself did not taste all that great objectively speaking. It did not taste like it was made with fresh watermelon, the sago had a pasty texture, the tea jelly was pretty much flavorless. So yeah, won't come back again.

We ordered two drinks, specifically requesting more ice in one and less sugar in the other, but they were prepared the opposite way. When we mentioned this to the three ladies behind the counter, they just made faces and ignored us. We felt their attitudes were unprofessional.

Don’t know why there are so many good reviews. All the negative reviews were right. They barely give you any boba ( literally got 3 boba pearls in my entire drink). They don’t give receipts if you order with cash. If you really want a receipt, they give you the receipt of someone who paid with card and they tell you that is the best they can do. They didn’t even take the time to remove that person’s full name from the receipt. I also suspect my drink was made with expired milk. Sounds like a health concern too.

I finished paying expecting to receive the same drink as said on the menu and shown on the picture. I get a completely different drink. They were supposedly “slightly different” there was no slight difference. THERE WAS A BIG DIFFERENCE. completely different taste, flavor, look… with NO MATCHA. Also while looking at my order they clearly seemed confused. As if they didn’t even know how or what the order was. Sooo.. please know what’s on your menu and what u don’t have and do have! thank you. Ps… the older lady attitude gotta change. No wonder why it was so empty. I wouldn’t even recommend this place to my worst enemy.

I ordered two drinks and paid extra to upgrade both to the “bear cup.” One of them also had an extra topping of red bean popping boba. While preparing the drinks, I saw the staff handling the inside of the cups with their fingers when applying labels — which is very unhygienic. There was only one order ahead of mine (also just two drinks), but it still took over 15 minutes for me to get mine. When I finally did, the drink was missing the popping boba. I mentioned it to the teenage-looking staff member, and then another older woman — who seemed to be a supervisor — stepped in with a rude attitude and just asked, “So what do you want?” They wanted to give me the boba in a separate small container and told me to drink some of the drink first, then pour the boba in myself. I asked if I could have a larger cup so I could mix them properly, and the older woman told me that would cost $1 extra — for a cup?! Not to mention that was caused by their own mistake. Unpleasant service, questionable hygiene, and very poor handling of a simple order. Definitely not recommend this place.
