Cruise Cafe is delicious! Seriously, not an overstatement. I picked up the tri tip chimichurri sando, a couple of chocolate dipped cookies and a strawberry gazette, every bite was blissful! I also stocked up on their signature roasted coffee beans, because the cruise coffee is awesome.

Fun spot with very friendly staff and yummy gluten free baked treats! June is very sweet and hospitable. She sources their gluten-free treats locally and also makes her own. Come for the delicious food stay for the wonderful company!

My favorite coffee house in Scott Valley, they make all their pastry's on site each day, super tasty. Really friendly service, cool art.

As a single mom to a toddler, coffee shops are something sacred. This place is something else. The place is set up to be comfortable and welcoming. The hospitality is out of this world. Everyone is made to feel like they're visiting loving relatives. We are never made to feel like we are taking too long, taking too much space, being too loud. We are welcomed and cared for in a way that is so healing. ♥️🙏 So grateful for this place.

I was in town for a few months for work and ran across this place after taking a wrong turn. Best wrong turn I ever made. Staff is super friendly, coffee is great and very affordable. They have a small but adequate breakfast menu. This was my go to place for 3 months and probably the thing I miss most about Scotts Valley/ Santa Cruz. They even make a bacon puppaccino for dogs! Highly recommend if you’re in the area.

My experience there was great! The staff there was super nice. I'm definitely going back.

Note that the cafe is not at the shopping center, but in the transit center next to it! It is in a bus transit station which is nice repurpose of the facility. It is active center and bus does stop there. late: I usually drink espressos and not exactly a late expert, but tasted great to me. I had an almond milk late. The milk foam was think and nice. The espresso taste was well preserved as I had 12 oz drink. The espresso is balanced and tastes like medium roasted. It has acid notes and is opposite to a dark roast espresso. I went there for Cars and Coffee and there were some nice cars in the near by large parking lot. They had a lady play piano and sing as it was an CnC event day which is scheduled for every third Sunday of a month. The outside seating area is large and has a lot of tables. The staff is very nice and welcoming. It's a family business of local people and love what they are doing. They are always very supportive for the community.

Recently, I had an entire morning to myself. I spent those 3 hours' time here. I loved every minute of it. I enjoyed myself a nice house roast brew. And a couple of delectable pastries and some protien. I had a ham and swizz croissant. A poppy seed lemon roll. Had myself a seat and began to sketch in my book. I flushed out about 12 ideas and finished 2 of them. All that time, the crew was very kind to me and friendly. The atmosphere sparks initiative eagerly. Getting the day started the right way. A nice beverage, and something to munch on. This still is my favorite coffee shop of all time

I just love this place! My husband and I come here for our "coffee date" almost every day. They make very good coffee and they have a great selection of pastries. I always get their cinnamon rolls and their are delicious 😋. I couldn't recommend this place enough

Wonderful cafe, excellent customer service and delicious baked goods. The scone was perfect. Moist and not too sweet. They also have a great variety of coffee options. The ladies were so friendly. Will be back when in the area again.

We Love Cruise Cafe. It is so nice to be able to relax on a Sunday/morning with the dogs, Greek toast and a yummy latte. I have to will myself past the sweets counter and I will say those I have tasted from my family and friends were delish!

Such a cute place! The Metro was the best veggie bagel sandwich I have ever had for sure. I got it with a jalapeño cheddar bagel and you could tell it was fresh by how soft the dough was 🤤 I wish they had wifi for being a coffee shop, but understand due to their location being near the bus pick up. I will for sure be back to try the sweet treats I saw!

What a fantastic little hidden gem cafe. Great for a quick stop or to wait for a bus. The selection was wonderful, and the scones were delightful. With homemade items and knowledgeable great service, it is a definite place to return to. Everything looked and smelled delicious. I also appreciated how clean it is.

Cruise Coffee Café is a laid-back gem in Scotts Valley—perfect for grabbing a great cup of coffee, enjoying live music on the weekends, and browsing unique art from local vendors who set up on the patio. With plenty of parking and a cool, retro vibe that feels like an old bus terminal, it’s a fun and creative weekend hangout.

Had to wait a little. But I was in no rush. I got the mile high bagel sandwich, blueberry muffin, and latte. Everything was delicious. The sandwich looks small, but it was super filling. The bagel tasted like it was freshly made. It was soft and airy and nicely toasted. Very delicious! It's definitely worth the wait. Love to support local cafes. This one is in a quiet part of town by the bus station, and there's a library across the street. Not too much car traffic on a Monday morning.

We’ve had the honor of having Cruise Coffee Cafe sponsor many different items at our women’s networking mixers—and everything has been amazing! We've also made many stops and held meetings at the café near the Scotts Valley Library. The space is so welcoming and cute—perfect for catching up or getting a little work done. I’m super picky when it comes to chai, and their chai latte is so good! And don’t miss the butter croissant—honestly one of the best I’ve ever had. It’s dense, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. (I lived in France for 5 months, so I don’t say that lightly!) On top of it all, Erin is an absolute pleasure to work with. Her heart for what she does and the way she serves the community really shines through—in her words and in every bite and sip she shares. I highly encourage you to visit the café and check out her catering options for your next party or event.

Don't sleep on Cruise coffee! This local shop is super cute, has delicious locally roasted coffee, tasty homemade bagels, and also sells really cute items by local artisans as well as delicious bakery items! Some favorite bakery items I've tried include: their cinnamon rolls, lemon cheesecake, s'mores pops, cupcakes. They also bring in vegan treats as well from another local vendor! Right next to the Scotts valley Metro station It makes it convenient with lots of parking. Check out their website for special events like cruise coffee or their barbecue holiday celebrations! And, how can you not love their logo? Lastly the photo in this review is of my maple caramel frappe that they let me customize☕

Super cute drive-thru location right off the highway. They do great breakfast burritos here, and the pastries were great too! We tried the almond croissant - so good! Super friendly staff, and there is even a walk up window if you don't want to drive through.

Locally owned drive through coffee and breakfast food cafe. Enjoy great human interaction when you order. Friendly service even before the sunrises. Lattes, breakfast burritos (under $9), bagels, and pastries.

The barista mentioned Radiohead! The POS/window employee did a fine job of mentioning the Café business. Also, their espresso is nice and rich, not bitter. If you are in a bigger vehicle, you may have an issue making the 180º turn, but the service, caffeine are worth it. Don’t forgo a tip. Hook them up!

Cool place. 5/5 for friendly staff, atmosphere, vibe, etc. 4/5 food and drink - very solid. Small-ish food menu (I had a sausage bagel) - no pastry options to speak of (muffins only). Definitely worth checking this place out at least once. Ownership changed about in about 2018, so if you went before then, worth trying again.

This is a great little cafe in Scotts Valley. We visited during a Cars and Coffee event they host every few weeks. The food was amazing, but the service was slow. I couldn’t tell if they were short handed or if it was a side effect of also hosting the C&C that morning. Overall, definitely a good experience and we will come back!

Cool vibe, good coffee, yummy bakery items (the lemon cheesecake was delish). The staff are friendly and helpful. But if you’re looking for a typical American breakfast, this probably won’t satisfy. I had the breakfast burrito as a bowl (no tortilla). It didn’t seem fresh, the scrambled eggs were firm and dry, the bacon was diced versus crispy strips. The cheese was stuck to the paper tray it was served in. It was more like a microwaved tapa than actual fresh-from-the-grill breakfast. The savory toast was good, but it too was more like an appetizer. It was a simple slice of toast with prosciutto and arugula…not bad but underwhelming. I think as a bakery, this is a great choice. As a satiating breakfast spot, it missed the mark for me.

This is such a cool venue. It looks like an old bus station that was changed into a coffee shop. They had plenty of both indoor and outdoor seating and I love that they had a play section for young children. I feel bad for the ladies who were working there the day we went. They seemed extremely understaffed for how popular their shop was. I think because of how overwhelmed they were the service and food was not at the level that they would typically provide. The lady running the cash register was wonderful and kind. I did not like that they were using paper plates and cups for everything. I think they’re doing it because they didn’t have time to wash dishes.

First timer. Lovely location, great staff, good quality coffee. Really wanted to love it. But the breakfast burrito was cold (refrigerator cold) in the center ... so I bit into hard cold eggs and cheese. The tortilla wrapped around it was a gooey doughy mess. No doubt it is challenging to serve a good quality breakfast burrito at the very reasonable price that it's offered at. But I do expect it to be at least room temp - if not, you know, serving temp...

I think it depends on what you’re expecting. If you’re here waiting for a bus, it’s a great place to grab a coffee. However, we came after the wharf to wharf race (6 mi.) and were hoping for a tasty and hearty brunch and were sorely disappointed. The bagels were tiny and undercooked. The toast was thin sliced toast out of a bag. The avocado toast had about 1/8 of an avocado on a single piece of bread. They don’t have any prices on the menu, but don’t like it when you ask how much things are. The outdoor seating is decently nice and there’s plenty of parking. Overall wouldn’t really recommend for brunch. I think there are better places around here.

Decent coffee joint but more people in Santa Cruz should know the bakery associated with/seemingly part of this place was one of the few local businesses listed on an "anti-woke" Amazon competitor. Not the kind of place I would personally like my money going to.

Good place if you want to wait 30 min in line for a mediocre coffee. There’s only one person making drinks and she takes her sweet time. If she spent as much time making coffee as she did on her eyeliner maybe you wouldn’t stand in line for 30 min. She’s also very cold and needs customer service work! They also don’t wash their hands between touching food/drink and money. Not worth the hassle

S
Scott Heuvel

I really love this Cafe and recommend it to folks all the time. I am hoping I got a one-off problem, but after paying for lattes and sandwiches to go, and paying a generous tip I waited 25 minutes for the sandwiches to be made but the to-go lattes were made straight away which meant the lattes were cold by the time I got the sandwiches (the Cafe only had a few customers when I ordered). I asked if they could heat the drinks up, but the person told me that they couldn't, and apologized, but didn't offer to remake the drinks. The lattes weren't drinkable. I think the Cafe should at least ask if the customers want to wait for the sandwiches to be made before making the drinks, and should have offered to remake them.

M
Manuel Preciado

Elegant atmosphere and plenty of seating. My honest opinion though is that the food is a bit niche, (Mainly toast-related food items) and the coffee could use some work. Recommendations: 1) Need smaller cup sizes so we don’t get 1oz espresso & 11oz of milk 2) Larger signage for menu 3) Larger outdoor signage couldn’t tell it was a cafe as the building has been repurposed from a bus stop to a cafe.

A dollar and fifty cents for oat milk? C’mon. A medium latte with oat milk and vanilla is more than $8. I don’t think I’ve seen prices like that anywhere else in the county.

The worst latte, and beverages. I spill in garbage all 3 drinks. I understand that I came by the end of their day. However, it was really bad. Expensive
