The food is fresh, made from scratch, and delicious! All the flavors were perfectly paired. The owner and staff are so welcoming and the service was excellent. What a gem in Madrona. Can't wait to come back.

Lovely atmosphere, fantastic staff, the lamb is to die for. Expect 35-50 a head, and try the banana pudding

You'll feel right at home in this little bistro. Deanna and her family will take great care of you and feed you well. The dolma are the best I've had and the kebab are so tender! Lots of vegetarian options as well.

Small, family owned and run place. Excellent food, great staff. Cozy, comfortable, nice subdued décor and music. Food is very tasty (Mediterranean fare). Lamb spiced well, fresh veggies, garlic. What's not to love? Make the time to visit, have a glass of wine, and enjoy.

You cannot go wrong here. If unfamiliar with Middle Eastern food, simply follow the guidance of the lovely proprietress. A lovely space with absolutely smashing food. Let the little plates appear, and experience the wonder for the first time... then as many more times as you can work into your schedule. Disappointment is impossible.

THE best lamb I've ever had! Everything I've tried here I absolutely love! 5 star meals, wines and desserts. Perfect for a celebration or romantic meal. Staff is amazing and you may even order to go! Great atmosphere and a great time. Highly recommend!!

This place is a MUST! Reservations should be made at this cozy and busy place...or you might be able to get "fit in" . The baked feta, so good. The kebabs are amazing and my friend loves the eggplant (she's a veggie) I tried the Turkish wine, they have a large selection, it was great.

Wow, the peas! Just like my mother made them when I was a kid. The chocolate cake was similarly delicious; the other desserts were quite good. And the main dishes were quite satisfactory, too, although the salad that came with what I had seemed more PNW than Turkish to me : )

Cozy Turkish restaurant with extremely friendly service and delicious food. Unfortunately, we had to leave early due to our little one getting uncomfortable and the owners were generous enough to offer us free baklava to make up for that. Much appreciated.

Delicious small family owned Turkish restaurant in Madrona (with some Italian influences). The food was amazing, the wine as well, and the staff was absolutely lovely.

We went the first night they were open for indoor service. Small, intimate Turkish diner. We had Izmir Kabab that was perfectly done. Out starter was a wonderful layered beet/cheese tower. Perfect with our Turkish wine. Just needed some raki! Finished with some Turkish coffee that was a little watered down. Took home some cheese + spinach borek for d’inné the next night. We’ll be back.

Fantastic location and food. Owner was gracious to check on us. Great variety of food and wine. Presentation and quantity of food was impeccable. I am leaving to SO Cal, but I would come back in a heartbeat.

Definition of a neighborhood restaurant. Tucked away in Madrona, this spot felt cozy, casual/slightly nicer than casual, and the food and wine list was good! The owner was also super nice and made a point to come over and say hello more than once. If Iowa's in the area again I would return.

Great experience with the service and the food, I am Metro operator who happens to find this restaurant while walking around in the neighbor. I’ve ordered the food here twice and believe me it’s 10/10✅.

Amazing food served with love. The owner works her butt off to ensure her guests get a meal unlike anything else in Seattle. Very romantic too!

We arrived within an hour of closing the day before Christmas Eve and, despite being short staffed from the impending holiday, the owner was extremely gracias & made us some delicious spanakopita, salad, dolmas & tabouli to go. I'm very much looking forward to coming back at a more reasonable time to sit down for dinner & a Turkish coffee with her!

Very cozy place. Had a great meal there with friends. Enjoyed bottomless hot tea along with a satisfying meal. The lamb was cooked perfectly. Of the dishes we ordered the Kuzu Incik (Lamb Shank) was the highlight.

We decided to go on a little road trip & stopped at Bistro Turkuaz for dinner. We were very impressed with the unique menu, display of our food & dinner was very tasty. We have a vegan in the group as well as meat eaters & we all were accommodated. Service was 100% - from start to finish. I highly recommend you try this restaurant, you won't be disappointed!

In town for work and I’m so glad I was able to revisit Bistro Turkuaz after 5+ years. My sister used to bring me here. The food, atmosphere, and service were exactly as I remembered! Deanne is an absolute gem of a human being, and puts so much love into her food and business. I am overjoyed that she was able to step away from the kitchen to come chat for just a bit. This has always been such a cozy and welcoming place. Wishing you continued success, sweet lady. ❤️

We had a wonderful dinner at Bistro Turkuaz this evening. The lamb here is so tender and delicious! We loved the humus and that baklava, again the best ever hands down! Such great service and homey feel! You really gotta try this place!!!

It was our first time here! The food was delicious! We ordered three different courses, all of which tasted like homemade food. The staff were extremely nice, and they were kind enough to bring us free baklava, which tasted amazing! We will definitely be back!

A lovely place with the best owner/cook. The food is freshly made and balanced perfectly for an authentic taste of Turkey. The menu can accommodate anyone and the lamb dishes are best. Some of the best hummus in Seattle.

Super delicious! Everything I've had tastes so fresh and handmade with care. Great cozy neighborhood joint.

DeAnne is one of the best chefs around, having an instinctual knowledge of what spices go together and in what amounts. She also knows Turkish food recipes like the back of her hand! To say that I enjoy what she has made for me over the years, both savory and sweet, would be an understatement, and she is a lovely, generous, wonderful person on top of her cooking abilities! Try anything with lamb and the baklava, and you will leave very happy -- and full! Kudos to you, DeAnne, and the wonderful restaurant you run! Your food is absolutely DELICIOUS!

Great food. Family owned and run. Reasonable prices. If you aren't familiar with Turkish food, this is a great introduction. Excellent lamb kabobs, delicious vegetarian options. Check out out! My wife and I need to go here more often.

Just had wonderful meal @ this bistro, walking in felt like coming home to a favorite aunt, greeting from chef/owner was warm & gracious, her dishes generous with authentic taste of her Turkish roots, lamb chops were grilled perfectly with seasoned rice, desserts homemade, looking forward to go back & try Balik fish!

Food is great and yummy.. Order the Turkish pilsner and the lamb kebab. So yums. However the service is super slow. Seems like there's just one young inexperienced waitress serving the entire place. Waited 10m to take my order and approx 45m for the first dish to arrive. Parking is along the street.

Polite and friendly Staff. Bit pricey for the quantity and quality

Fantastic Turkish food in an unassuming, quiet neighborhood. Best humus I've had and they'll actually bring you more pita bread. Service was super friendly and felt like our grandma was helping us. The Turkuaz special was phenomenal, nice and garlicky and the lamb was super tender and delectable. The pasta dish was also quite good and a bit lighter. The little dumplings were also muy good.

My husband and I went to Bistro Turkuaz for the first time recently and were kicking ourselves for not trying it sooner. Not really knowing what to expect from a Turkish restaurant we found it quite comfortable and very Mediterranean-seeming. We shared several dishes and especially loved the Kafke and lamb kebabs. The warm pita was delicious, especially with the hummus! Bistro Turkuaz is very small and quaint so be sure to make a reservation.

The food is really excellent. They have an appetizer consisting of a few slices of beet stacked with goat cheese flavored with fig and balsamic vinegar that's absolutely delicious. The Turkuaz Special is a lamb skewer on a mixture of eggplant, tomato sauce, and bits of pita bread, with a few olives, other vegies, dates, and a little cacik (the Turkish version of tzatziki), which is surprisingly compellingly delicious. It is rather difficult to get a server's attention.

Nice, cozy place with great hospitality. Pancar was tiny but really well done - tender, flavorful beets. Mucver was good too, not too greasy, yogurt sauce topping blended well. We got Borek and Balik for entrees. Both came in a substantial serving size. Food and service was great but nothing crazy novel. Worth a visit though!

Didn't have a chance to dine in. Only picked up Baklava and take it to our friend's house for dinner. Bistro Turkuaz is a small, cozy, cute little restaurant located in a quiet neighborhood and surrounded by many other local businesses. The restaurant is managed and run by family members. They are sweet and very nice. Prices seem to be reasonable. I have to find an evening to have dinner here that way I can update my food review. The baklava was tasty but very soggy. I usually make my baklava so my best guess is they did not clarify the butter. The key to making the baklava crispy and crunchy is all about the butter process and how is being applied. Besides that, it has a good flavor. Check them out if you are in the area! Just note their hours are limited due to not enough staff.

Such a cute atmosphere and the food was delicious. The owner cooks every dish and it was fabulous. She came out to greet each guest. We had a lovely conversation and an amazing experience!

A quaint place with decent food of homemade quality but not worth such a long wait (over an hour wait for one kebab?!?!) for such small portions for such a price. Severely, severely understaffed although they are friendly.

P
Peter Cai

I would advise you not to dine at this restaurant in the near term. They appear to be severely understaffed. We waited for a very long time for our food. Unfortunately when it arrived we learned the portion sizes were also too small, despite ordering a full entree and appetizers. It was a disappointing experience.

M
Margaret Chen

The Turkuaz special is ridiculously small portion!!!!!!!!!!! I’ve waited for 30min and the dish only had 4 small pieces of meat and plenty of bread, cost 30 bucks?!!!!!! I’m so hungry after the meal and had to go to another place to eat a full meal again???!!!!!!!!!! DONT GOOOOO

J
Joy Sequeira

The food was pretty bad. Chicken was way overcooked. Even the lamb and kofta were also bad and tasted bland. The restaurant and its service were decent but they really should improve on the food. Not really worth for that price. And it took so long for them to serve the food.

D
Daphne Tomchak

I wanted to love this place- nice staff, great atmosphere, one of my favorite cuisines- but the food was not good. Only had 2 things, but they were both bad. The few dolma were the size of chapsticks, served in tomato (?) sauce, and tasted of dirt. Actual dirt. The Traditional Borek, with spinach and feta, was clammy and cold, not crisp but pale and gummy; spinach inside was like paste and there was no feta at all. A tablespoon of hummus. A tablespoon of yogurt sauce. No pita, but I’d lost my desire to eat. And so expensive, too! Sorry.
