Joe's Crab Shack - Sevierville

We came here to celebrate my daughter's birthday. Our waitress was fantastic and very attentive. She was wonderful with my daughter and had the entire restaurant sing happy birthday to her. Our food was delicious, the crab was cooked perfectly. We love the stream pots.

So, today was my Birthday, and my Husband took me to Joe's. I was treated like a QUEEN.. The food was FABULOUS!!! My first time trying Raw Oysters, soooooo good. We sat in the bar, our bartender/server was so FABULOUS!!!! Not sure of her name, but we were there right at 11 this morning. Can't wait to come back!!!!

Windy was a very good balance between server and salesperson. She tried to upsell us only appetizers and at the end of the meal. Try to get us to buy a card. She was also very good on recommendations of what to get and what flavors to put on the crab. I have to say that the corn was very good. What's the flavoring that she recommended? The crab was good and so were the potatoes.Overall, this is a good place to eat.

The staff was absolutely awesome. The food was perfect highly recommended, and you will not be disappointed

Everything was great! Our server was amazing. We absolutely loved that the kids could play while they waited for their food .. gave us parents a time to enjoy our food 😁 and as you can see if the photos we tore our food up 😂

Food was delicious, I loved the sausage. Our waitress was super sweet and made us feel very welcome definitely will be back here again. And they know their music banger after banger.

10/10 so good, the waiter we had was so nice. They brought out the wrong food and he noticed and brought another plate. We came here the 6th of July. I’d live here instead of Ohio for this place 😭

I sat at the bar, had the pleasure of being served by Jo. She is lively, friendly and knows her drinks and menu items. The guy there was on point as well, very thorough and polite. I had fish and shrimp, very good and cooked right!

I ordered the land and sea and it was SO good!! The shrimp was seasoned well and so was the steak.

The food was great but the service was exceptional! We came in around 10 pm on a Friday night, was seated right away. The waitress, JoJo had a great personality and took time to answer our questions. This was our first time eating at Joe’s Crab Shack. The manager, Kristi, came to the table and spoke to us about our visit, very friendly.

For starters, you must go here for a wonderful sea food experience. Mary Fine has been our server both times we have visited this Joe's and it's been the best experience we've had in a long time. She was very helpful with menue selections, courteous and beyond friendly. She went above and beyond expectations! The food was absolutely amazing and 100% on point. The king crab with sausage added and a lobster tail is what I got. The king crab was perfectly cooked, moist and full of flavor. The lobster tail was magnificent! My fiancé got the snow crab with a lobster tail as well, with a shri scampia added. She loved every last bite! I tried 1 of the shrimp scampi and it was delicious! 10/10 highly recommended to enjoy a great meal with fantastic service!

First visit to Joe's Crab Shack, and my family and I enjoyed ourselves. The food was good, and our server was pleasant and honest she didn't have to let us know about the food mix-up, but she did. To be honest, I didn't even pay attention that my order wasn't right. I was just ready to eat. It was my grandsons 15th birthday and he wanted seafood, we were not disappointed. They even sang Happy birthday to him.

I’m a little late reviewing, but what a wonderful meal and experience we had at Joe’s on February 22 as we were heading home from a few days in Gatlinburg. We stopped for lunch and our waitress, Mackenzie was very friendly and right on top of things. We ordered fish & chips and a shrimp plater. We couldn’t believe how fresh and delicious everything tasted, as if it was caught that morning! The manager, Kristi stopped by to see how everything was going and we told her how great everything was. She was very friendly, personable & delightful! It was a wonderful experience and we are looking forward to going back next time we’re in town.

She is a very sweet person. Very nice, awesome, made good conversation. She took the time out to write on my bib after I told her I was another Grandma today. 12-29-2025. Loved her company. If I ever came back (cuz I'm from Texas) I would want her waiting on me again. Cuz that's how AMAZING SHE IS..

Food and service was great. Bartender was our waitor. He is great at multi-tasking. The manager came to the table and asked how was everything. Which is extremely rare now .

Kayla was a great server she was so fun, and made the experience a blast. The food was delicious🙌🏻

Our party of 25 (including alot of loud, hungry cheerleaders) had the absolute best experience thanks to CONRAD on Saturday night (12/6/25). Originally the reservation was 19 but it grew by 6 at the last minute. The staff went out of their way to accommodate us as quickly and as politely as possible. We were seated in CONRAD'S section. He is completely on top of his game from start to finish. He is attentive, knowledgeable, fun, and most importantly - PATIENT with young kids. Even with a very large and CHAOTIC group, he never missed a beat. We had at least 4 drink spills and he never even looked frustrated or rolled an eye. He just rolled with the craziness in the most fun way. Every order was perfect, and he kept us smiling and laughing the entire time. His positive energy was contagious, and his service is TOP TIER. Truly the best service I have had in over 10 years. If Conrad can handle our group of 25 cheerleaders & crazy cheer moms, he can handle anything. Request his section. TRUST ME.

I came here last week after a road trip straight out of a survival documentary, toddlers kicking seats, asking “are we there yet?” every 12 seconds, and slowly draining my will to live. All I wanted was hot food and maybe 10 consecutive minutes of peace. I dragged my tiny tornadoes into this Crab Shack fully prepared for the usual crabby vibes. Instead, I was greeted by an actual miracle in human form: Meghan. When I say angel, I don’t mean “nice server.” I mean calm, patient, saintly, probably-glows-in-the-dark angel. Meghan was hands down the sweetest, kindest, most understanding server I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled all over the world. She somehow managed to be extremely attentive without making us feel rushed, got every single part of our complicated, kid-influenced order 100% correct, and checked on us at exactly the right moments. But here’s the part that deserves its own award ceremony: she got my kids to calm down. I don’t know what magic spell she used, but suddenly my toddlers were sitting, eating, and acting like members of polite society. I nearly cried. Meghan didn’t just serve us food she saved the entire evening. If promotions, raises, or a small statue out front are on the table, she deserves all of it. Absolute legend. 🦀✨

After trying multiple restaurants in the area for a party of 10, my family and I decided to stroll into the old faithful, Joe's Crab Shack. There was a short wait, but we were greeted warmly by the host and seated even sooner than the quoted time. Our waitress, Danielle, was pleasant, attentive, friendly, and truly went above and beyond with her customer service. My mom, sister, and I ordered the seafood boil platters and, to my surprise, they were delicious. We also had the oysters rockefeller which was really good.

It was my dad’s 66tg birthday and it had been a couple of years since I had gotten to see him. Mary was our server and was just absolutely awesome. She was attentive without being over bearing and fun and charismatic. She was patient when we had questions on the menu and was able to answer them thoroughly. She was aware it was his birthday as I had informed her we were out for it. She ofc embarrassed him by making him wear the yellow cape and another fun server brought him coconut bra! Everyone sang happy birthday including the other patrons. It was overall such a good experience and the food was really good! Thank you guys for such a good time!

We enjoyed our visit! The waitress was friendly and helpful. She included conversation with my 10 year old and interacted. Food was amazing as always! We love coming to the mountains for Joes! Its always our first stop!

Took my partner there for Valentine's Day and had a 10 star experience. Staff was polite and professional, the food was great, and shout out to our server Zach for going above and beyond to make it an excellent experience.

Krystal was our server at the Tennassee location and she was amazing. She was so friendly and helpful and was great with the kids. They even have an outdoor play area that is fenced in and only accessible from inside the restaurant. Krystal kindly told us about the play area otherwise i wouldnt have known. My son loved his kids clam dinner. A great place to go with kids!

Stopped in here while vacationing in the Smokies and we are so glad we did. The food was amazing, service was wonderful, and the restarant had nice decor. Our waitress was incredible and went above and beyond for all of her tables. We will definitely be back. I highly recommend the trio shrimp platter or the blackened flounder.

Found this place after visiting Smokey Mountain Knife Works and loved going here back home in Greenwood, Indiana. This is the new Joe's Crab Shack after the old ones closed but it still feels and looks like the old ones and so does my childhood memory! Loved coming here again and loved the service. I want to move here just to work and eat here everyday! I forgot to mention the vibe was grea. The music was incredible to Bob and dance to and the servers were so happy singing along. I haven't had such a great time at a restaurant in years.

came in Monday night, food was incredible and service was fantastic! we had dillion as our server. his personality was so bubbly and welcoming. we got 2 crab boils and we are very satisfied with our experience here. will be back when we come back to town!

visited joes last night. it was nice because it wasn’t super busy, but the best part was our service! we had Meghan & she was FANTASTIC! she was super attentive & SO SWEET! i’ll be returning solely for the service she gave us! loved her!

We try to avoid regular chains while traveling to experience local cuisine, but this was a night where reservations were booked up and wait times in local spots were insane, so we popped into Joe’s and hoped for the best and it paid off. We only had a short wait to be seated. We ordered crab legs, salmon, and shrimp between us. Our food was hot, fresh, and great, and our service by Danielle was a blessing. The visit was worth it just to meet such a bright, friendly light. She’s one of those rare, special kinds of people that finds joy in everything and shares it with everyone she meets. I’m so glad we took the gamble. No regrets here, give it a try.

This place gave up the best service. Our waitress always checked on us, gave food recommendations, always made sure we had something to drink. Love the napkin bibs they gave people eating crab. Definitely would come back. The manager even came to see how our food was how the waitress was which was nice to see. When we asked for our military discount another manager came out to thank him for his service and ask about his service which was a nice touch.

Food was great and huge portions! First timers for Joe’s Crab Shack. Our server Sara Windy was very attentive.

Great and fun seafood restaurant known for their pleasantly entertaining atmosphere. Food and service were very good. Some people in our party weren't crazy about the bbq spices they used on their crab legs.

We came here for a birthday lunch. Joes is known for putting the bib on you and singing for someone's birthday. Not this location. We didn't get the usual hospitality but do acknowledge that the server was good. Food was okay but I would likely order differently for the main course. The crab cake appetizer was good and the mushrooms left a bit to be desired. I wanted to taste more crab but that was not the case. The apple pie and vanilla ice cream didn't stand a chance. The brownie was good as well. I recommend sharing these desserts they are a decent portion size for 2 adults minimum. Parking was good.

The food was delicious and a 10/10 other than the coleslaw, but that could be a personal preference. Mary and Christine served us well! The atmosphere wasn’t what we prefer, it was pretty loud and lively in there. But if you’re looking for some good food, this is the place!

The service here was amazing. We were greeted as soon as we came in and made to feel like we were the only customers in the world. Although other customers came in while you were ordering to go, the hostess focused on our order instead of the people walking in the door. The food here was not as I expected. The seafood was overcooked everything I had was chewy. For a franchise I was very disappointed.

Visited with my family of 4 because we generally love Joe's. Our service was good on this visit and everyone was friendly. However, it took quite a while for our food to reach our table. When it did arrive it was not hot and it was kind of dry. I was not impressed with this visit at all. However, since we generally enjoy this restaurant chain, we would be inclined to try them again to see if it was just a bad day.

my fiance and i chose to dine here for dinner and honestly it was a pretty good choice. if ur from true south like louisiana, it is of course not the same. however, Anya was an amazing server and really made our time there even more enjoyable! my only complaint was that the seafood boil was somewhat overcooked, but the flavor and quality of food was wonderful! we will be visiting again! THANK YOU ANYA!!

I will be giving this a one star simply because of the food we spent over $400 here and it was completely terrible for our party at five. Small crab legs the lobster tail was so tough . Everyone was disappointed at our table and we did not complain once. Luckily, our server made up for it because she was amazing. Although for the price honestly feel robbed. I probably will never be back to a joes crabshack because of this.

I should have listened to the reviews that said that the food was cold & nasty. I ordered the steak and shrimp. The steak was very tough and cold. The butter they put on it wouldn't even melt. The veggies looked very old. All crinkly and dry. The mashed potatoes was the absolute worst. Cold, dry and not worth the effort. The tempura shrimp was really good. Tasted fresh made. I sent my plate back. My husband ordered the fried fish, shrimp platter. He said it was good and crispy. But all the grease that was on his plate turned my stomach.

So it was my birthday today, we had a rough morning losing our dog. Our waitress April was very nice though. We got some drinks, and we literally had no alcohol in them. We're from Nevada so we're used to open pour. So the manager came over and asked what she could do and she could charge us for another shot , like really? Our food came before our appetizer.... But honestly she could have just take them off the bill. The food was okay, then our waitress April asked if she wanted her to sing to me and I was like it's okay. Thank you though. Honestly the last time we were at a Crab shack was in Sacramento and they never asked. They just did it, we had a great time there. Then we had this guy constantly begging us for his services for pictures. Anyway, we won't be coming back but good luck to everybody.
